Summary
Interpersonal matters have never been his strong suit; there’s a brashness to himself that he can’t quite shake. He attributes it to the dog-eat-dog world of growing up the youngest of eleven. He’s struggled to get past the acquaintance stage with any of the men in his cohort and it should worry him, but in all truth, he likes his solitude. Having time and space of his own is still a novelty even four years post leaving his childhood home. The majority of his free time is spent reading and listening to the silence around him.

Summary
When Goffredo Tedesco becomes a father overnight, he walks away from the title of Patriarch, the city of Venice, and the man who once held his heart in quiet fists. Rome is no sanctuary—but it becomes a home.
A baby.
Four godfathers.
One lemon tree in a pot.
And Aldo Bellini, who still watches him like he’s trying not to love him again. As Luca grows, so does everything else: the grief, the tenderness, the second chances none of them thought they’d get. And somewhere between the laundry and the lullabies, Goffredo learns that family is something you make. Over time. In spite of everything.
This isn’t about sainthood.
It’s about survival.
And the holy, infuriating miracle of love that doesn’t let go.Or:
He gave up a title for a child.
And found something holier in return.Bookmarked by missdimmsdale

Summary
In the midst of the most tense conclave of the century, when forces within the Vatican struggle to impose their vision of the future of the Church, an unprecedented attack shakes the heart of Christianity. A bomb explodes in the Sistine Chapel, leaving ruins, screams, and confusion. But the most shocking thing is not the explosion, but what comes next: Tedesco and Bellini are kidnapped.
Without the cameras, without the pulpit, without the ideological pressure... only two men remain. Two voices in the darkness. Two broken souls trying to survive something greater than their dogmas: loneliness, fear, and the certainty that no one will come to their rescue.

Summary
Thomas hadn’t meant to buy engagement rings on a Thursday in New York City.
Alternatively: The one in which Thomas Lawrence steps in front of a gun pointed at Vincent Benítez, the papal American roadtrip takes a sharp left faced with US politics, and the pining for Aldo Bellini is starting to look like divine intervention; not necessarily in that order.
