Occasionally, he thinks about asking his fellow Sinners what they think of him. How they view him, the mishmash of parts standing in front of them, scratching skin, eyes glued to the floor. But he doesn’t. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t want to appear vain. Maybe it’s because he still desires to mask his presence, despite the fact that his entire life has been laid out in front of them. Maybe, realistically, he does not want to hear the answers he knows they will give. The type of answers that make him want to disappear into nothingness. Maybe it’s best not to know what they see inside of him.
