Summer sky eyes split apart with lightning, spring fields he burnt down. Is this enough then, to want to cradle his face till he grinned again, to fire empty bullets in hope that one day, his message would get through.

Di Feisheng closes the distance between them again. “I’m checking your legs for injuries now.”

“You did. But you’re a liar.”
Li Lianhua glares as Di Feisheng backs him up against one of the pillars that supports the roof of the Guo family’s sumptuous guest suite. He can’t decide whether he’d rather make a break for it or use up a fraction of his precious remaining qi to punch the bastard in his smug mouth.

Coda for Episode 12, in which Di Feisheng comes to check in on Li Lianhua after a long, challenging day, and feelings are had (much to everyone's chagrin).
