As a rule, Viktor always found the increment of time that passed just after sex rather unpleasant to endure. He never understood the allure of the afterglow. In fact, there had never seemed to be any kind of 'glow' at all, no light, no warmth. Quite the opposite. Those moments were full of detachment.
