Everyone around the plane just watches - it's all they can do, no one is equipped to tend to the screaming metal, the sputtering engine. It's a shooting star, falling from it's place of comfort to dent the Earth. Everyone just watches the star pass - they don't have the means to catch it. Falling plane, falling star - Mischa is destined to fall apart either way.

Summary
Mischa is a plane. When the pilot of a plane dies, the plane doesn't care about all of the passengers around it. The plane just falls. The plane crashes. The plane goes up in flames.
Some people may say Mischa did it for attention. Some may say they "saw this coming", that Mischa had always been the "strange boy prone to destructive behavior". Some will believe what he wants them to, that this was a terrible accident, it was God's hand that spilled his blood, not his own. Some will forever search for the answers, some will blame themselves. Mischa's reasoning is in the metal of the plane as it melts into the grass, the fiber of the seats that singe as they go up in flames. The truth that Mischa had always had his mother, even when he had no one else, and now she was gone. When you lose the thing you love most its hard to see all you have left, is the harsh reality of events like this.Series

Summary
Six teenager are dissuaded from riding the cyclone. Six teenagers survive. Six teenagers are left alive, expected to just live with their issues, and when life continues to pile on the hardships, they have to either rise to the challenge or crumble under the pressure.
There's no help, almost no sensible adults in sight. And graduation is still nine perilous months away.
