Tommy Innit is no ordinary child, he trains with the top heroes in the country but no one knows of his existence. The heroes are nice to him, as nice as they can be to a kid who is being trained to defeat the evil super villains called the Syndicate. I mean how desperate can they be if they need a 14 year old to take them down?

“You can’t protect it from a box under a bridge, either. Not without Bruce’s resources. Which you would have, legally, if you went with the police. You’re running out of time, Dick. You don’t really have a choice—“
“There’s always a choice!” The control console started beeping. The policemen were ringing the buzzer. Dick either didn’t notice or didn’t care. He kept his attention firmly on Diana. “I’m not going with them.”

“You don’t want to do this,” Dick said, his hand on his heart. There goes a Dick speech. Jason braced himself for yet another proclamation of the power of love and friendship. “We can help-”
What happened next was almost laughable. Actually, Jason did laugh, so it wasn’t almost laughable, it was actually laughable. Some random gunman shifted his barrel to face Dick and pulled the trigger.
Dick fell backward, a spurt of blood flying out where the bullet had landed, and collapsed neatly on the floor.

Look, none of this was Jason's fault. Dick was the one who got himself killed, and now Jason has to clean up his mess. So here he is, trying to get Dick to a Lazarus Pit, keeping his death a secret from a family of detectives, AND trying not to have a mental breakdown while doing it! Yeah, he's having a great time, thank you very much.
