Akuta remembered standing in the middle of them like some sort of marriage officiant as they passionately confessed their love to each other, too stunned to speak. All he could really get out of that was that Nanaki and Kiroku were brave as hell, because no way would he be able to confess his feelings to someone else while some guy was just in the room with them.
Basically what if TOGURO started dating each other, except Akuta had no idea he was part of it (he thought Nanaki invited him to the confession as emotional support).

Summary
Despite appearances, Akuta seemed to have a taste for tragedies. Unfortunately, his latest script called for a happy ending. The solution? He simply had to ask his happy ending loving teammates to write it for him.
Or—due to an unforeseen accident, Akuta has unfortunately passed away. The rest of Day2 awaken from a nightmare, only to find themselves thrown back in time, exactly three days before his death date. Determined to prevent Akuta's death, they seek to rewrite the ending to his tragedy.
