“Yes. But I only wished for one thing, and I had not gotten it before my death. So I was glad you showed mercy in the end.”
“And what did you wish for?” Shuri asked, advancing on him from the bed. “Your people swimming up the river to break Wakanda’s borders? An empire of blood against all other nations in the world?”
“I wished,” said Namor very quietly, watching her and not moving, “to hear you say my name.”

Shuri, who has given up the throne of Wakanda, has a lot of time to think in Haiti about the future of Wakanda. Fortunately, someone else is more than happy to offer some assistance, but when new developments arise, she and Namor of Talokan must forge a tentative alliance while navigating a more treacherous sea than either of them expected.

For the first time since her father had told her about the impending nuptials she found herself excited about the prospect, the golden future laid out before them. They’d likely have a whole gaggle of children, all silver-haired and smiling, and they’d rule their united kingdom with love and mercy, bringing about such an age of peace and prosperity as no one had ever seen before.
Of course, the reality of their marriage wasn’t to be quite what she’d expected. Though perhaps, in some ways, it was to be significantly better.

It turns out, when he’s not on the run, when he’s got time to evaluate what he wants out of life and to live something close to ‘civilian’, Bucky Barnes is a hot fucking mess. This isn’t the first time Sam’s found him asleep on the couch, or wearing yesterday’s eyeliner, or investigating whether iced-cake vodka shots do anything to get past the serum. The worst thing is it’s hard to stay stone-cold in the face of Bucky Barnes doing his best as a messy little twink with tousled wavy hair and pretty cheekbones and a fucking tongue piercing. The shit Steve had kicked up over that was ridiculous; apparently watching Bucky get lectured by Steve Rogers for half a fucking hour over needle safety and communicable diseases is enough for Sam to have kind of developed a soft spot.
Sam’s just trying to focus on the ‘mess’ part, okay, because contemplating ‘hot’ and ‘Bucky’ in the same sentence is not something he needs in his life. He’s just trying to live, that’s all. He doesn't deserve this. He doesn't deserve any of this.

Mel sighed and braced herself, needing to hear it directly from her boss.
“Valentina, you’re - not seriously putting me in charge of the Avengers?”

When Mel got promoted to Official Liaison to the Avengers, she anticipated handling the press, briefing the team for missions, and overall providing the World's New Mightiest Heroes with whatever they needed.
Keeping a lonely, de-powered Robert 'Bob' Reynolds company at the Watchtower, however, was definitely not part of the job description.
