Summary
In a world where borrowers are real, so are soulmates, and only one of them is commonly known about (hint: it’s not the the tiny people living in the walls). Dean and Castiel stumble into fate and rebel against it at once, falling for each other despite the odds and changing one another for the better.

Summary
Castiel is heading home from his shop after a bad day, and to top it all off, it's raining. He's hungry and tired, and doesn't notice the dog that races out in front of him until it's too late. Castiel trips and falls to the ground, getting up just as the dog gets hit by a car. When checking on the dog, Castiel realizes, this isn't a dog; it's a familiar. And, Castiel just so happens to be a witch with a soft heart, so he takes him in to help heal him. Over time, he starts to gain the familiar--Dean's-- trust. But what was Dean running from in the first place? What dark past is he hiding? Is Castiel enough to keep Dean safe from the horrors creeping up on him?

Summary
It was a simple case. A rogue witch fucking with (and killing) the locals, burning crops, messing with the weather–the usual. It was supposed to be cut and clean: go in, gank the bitch, burn the body, and get the hell out of Dodge–and maybe grab some burgers and pie along the way. Yes, it was supposed to be simple, and seemed as though it was, until everything went incredibly, incredibly wrong.
In witch Castiel is turned into a cat, personal space goes out the window, and repressed feelings start to come to light.

Summary
Cas, Sam, and Dean are each in different states, working separate cases. All is going smoothly–that is, until Castiel receives a prayer from Dean, pleading for help. All three grow more and more frantic as the weeks pass and they are no closer to finding Dean, who–Castiel surmises from his near-constant, desperate prayers–is shrunken to only a few inches in height. As time runs out and tensions run high, will Castiel be able to save Dean?
(This work has a bit of an open/ambiguous ending, but I *might* come back to write a sequel or timestamps in the future if inspiration strikes. It DOES end happy and hopeful though!!)

Summary
"I mean, you’re–” He gestures at Cas, in his neat oxford shirt and nice pants. “–and I’m a high school dropout who tattoos for a living.”
Wherein Dean makes a hefty living as a tattoo artist who owns the space next to Gabriel's cafe. Sam attends the local university. When Gabe's cousin comes to live with him while starting grad school at Sam's university, Dean thinks for sure that all his negative karma's coming to bite him in the ass because Cas clearly has a thing for Sam. No one would ever choose him over Sam. That's just logic.

Summary
Castiel’s heart stumbles before he can stop it, before he can think about how pathetic that is. To think that every interaction the Swans have proceeds them, that everyone is just waiting to get a glimpse of one of them to fuel their gossip circles for the next three days. Even the invisible shy flutter in his stomach at the thought of the Swans (not the Swans, just one of them, just one single man, but is that any better?) makes Castiel feel like he’s participating in the blatant objectification that he’s uncomfortable just witnessing.
The Swans are only people. This is something that Castiel holds onto. Just people who happen to have a generational curse in their bloodline. And when he interacts with Sam Winchester or Eileen Leahy at his stall, it’s easy. He says hello, they say hello back.
The Swans are just people. And yet, Dean Winchester remains unfathomable.
or the one where the swans are social celebrities, there are different varietals of honey, and dean and cas are both familiar with the concept of loneliness (until they're not)

Summary
But oh, Dean surprises Cas then, surprises himself maybe by the way his eyes go wide. Almost like he's pleading. Like he's asking Cas to accept not because Dean is kind, but because he is selfish.
"I could do it," he says, fast, stumbling over the words like they climbed out of him without him meaning them too. "I'm handy with a pair of clippers, and it don't need to look too fancy just to keep it outta your face. If you— if you don't want it to be a stranger," Dean pauses, voice soft as the hide of a rabbit, whispering like the Sun can't hear this thing he is admitting to Cas. "If you don't want it to be a stranger, I could do it."
How much is Cas supposed to accept? How much is he allowed to take?
Or...
Cas is still learning how to be hungry. It is not always kind to him. Dean is learning how to be gentle. The second part to the haircut fic.

Summary
Castiel is a simple Tree Spirit. He guards the evergreens of his forest and cares for the animals, content to live peacefully in solitude. One day, however, a human appears. Dean Winchester might show Castiel a thing or two about humanity, and maybe fall in love with him along the way.
(Also, a note: The Major Character Death is TEMPORARY, I promise. No sad faces. We've had enough of that this year. ;)

Summary
Castiel had spent the last seven years living in his isolated cabin in the woods. It's where he chose to be, with his magic bound and his only visitor his childhood friend Charlie who refused to stop worrying about him.
He wasn't happy there, but it was where he deserved to be, and that wouldn't change, no matter what Charlie said.
But then one day a wolf collapsed in his garden, injured and scarred and covered in blood, and Castiel knew he couldn't just leave it to die. When he came back from a walk the next day to find a human in his kitchen, with the same scars and injuries as the wolf, and nowhere else to go, Castiel realised what must have happened, and despite knowing better, he allowed the familiar to stay with him.
Little did he know exactly how much of his life his new friend would change.
