Summary
[Leid: German for Suffering/Misery: deep emotional pain caused by past harm/adversity/sorrow]
Two years after the Tadpole Days, Astarion and his lover, tiefling bard D'ylân, are in a happy relationship. Most of the time.
On one of his bad days, when the painful feelings of self-loathing outweigh his happiness, he curses his choice to stay a spawn.
Needing time alone after an argument with his lover, he runs into a dryad who offers him a gift: A glimpse at an alternate reality, where he'd witness the Vampire Ascendant he would have become had he taken a different path two years ago. It's not what he expected.
Back in his reality, Astarion needs to have a serious talk with D'ylân about one of the worst topics to talk about: His feelings. But it's safe to say that the sweet, rewarding makeup sex that follows is worth a little trouble.

Summary
Isehari completed half her contract, at least. That's what she tells herself while pacing the fade; Neve said she should take her wins where they are. So, instead of wallowing in the despair that's gnawing at her heels, the assassin triumphs over the fact that the long-necked bitch, Ghilan'nain, is dead. It's easier than facing eternity. An eternity, here, alone, and surrounded by the dead eyes staring up at her from the ledge below; trapped because she still cannot bring herself to look him in his eye.
Meanwhile, the team adjusts to the loss of four of their friends. Pressed between mourning their losses, and preventing the decimation of their entire world, tensions are high between the five remaining Veilguard.

Really, I just need the weeks in between Tearstone and escaping the Fade to be filled in. I need the prison to hurt a little more. Here's my take, on the ten weeks that my crow Rook, Isehari de Riva, is trapped in the fade.Bookmarked by rathlora
