It might have been a bad idea to move back to Malibu before the house was fully rebuilt, Tony thought, as he let instinct take over and unfolded the repulsor from his watch. He hadn’t even realized there was something going on, but Jess had growled and pushed herself against him and he had reacted before he could think about what he was doing. Before he heard the familiar sound of a gun safety being clicked off.

It took a moment for Tony to wake up, but when he did, he was immediately wide awake. His first instinct was to look out for Morgan, but she wasn’t here. It was Bucky who was kneeling next to the bed, reaching out to softly touch Tony’s shoulder. Pepper was still sleeping next to him, which might explain why Bucky was being so quiet and careful.

Steve finally had everything he wanted - the serum had given him a respected place in the military, and for the first time in his life, people expected things from him. The only problem was that Steve had no idea how to handle all of that new responsibility.
Lucky for him, Bucky knew what to do. And that included hiding Steve away from the other soldiers and letting him relieve some of that stress by allowing Bucky to dominate him just a little. And Bucky Barnes had always been known for his dirty mouth.
