Summary
Crowley drifts through the cottage, idly gathering stray cups and wine glasses with the intent to wash them only to abandon the task halfway through. Two months ago, the sight of their kitchen in such a state would make him want to scream. It makes him want to scream now, of course, but that’s hardly the kitchen’s fault, is it? Not when literally everything makes him want to bury his claws deep into his own face and scream until he can’t scream anymore.
(It's some number of days after they quit counting the days in quarantine. There's a flaming sword of thorns where Crowley's spine should be.)

Summary
It is twenty-five years until the end of the world. Aziraphale sells a book and invites Crowley to a wedding.
It is three hours until the end of the world. In a bar somewhere in London, Crowley falls into a black, bottomless hole.
It is ten seconds to the end of the world. Aziraphale says something too horrible to repeat. Crowley trembles against the wet tarmac, stuck there by a gravity not of this world.
It is some time after the not-end of the world. Aziraphale holds him tightly by the hand. Everything is going so terribly, terribly fast.

Crowley stares at the loaf of bread cooling on the counter, fat and glazed gold and only slightly singed at the furthest edges. Folds thin arms over his bony chest.
His stomach is a hard, round lump at the center of him, weighing him down. Anchoring him to the earth.
