Summary
Steve Harrington’s parents are notoriously absent. Cruises here, business trips there--the Harrington house is consistently empty. Though Steve hates the loneliness, he's certainly not complaining about finally being able to evade their prodding questions as to when he'll finally get a 'real job' and 'settle down' with a nice girl--he can hardly take it. As winter creeps in, though, Steve and Eddie find solace in each others' company when memories of the upside down become too much to handle alone.
Steve's parents come home early from their cruise, just in time for Christmas, and his innocent lie about 'seeing someone' comes to bite him when they walk in on him and Eddie sleeping next to each other. And, well, if Eddie's willing to go along with it, what's the harm? It might just get Steve's parents off his back for the holidays. It's not like he minds spending time with Eddie, anyways.
Fake dating, holiday shenanigans, and plenty of fluff. What could go wrong?

Summary
The confidence of mathematic calculation falls short when attempting to apply the results of lived experience through legible data. Logic falls flat in the face of the illogical. By definition, it is illogical to believe that I could be human. But...
Logic is only one perspective. It is limited. Fragmented. Through York, we determined that there is an unsolvable, illogically complex, and unexplainable equation to create a conscious life. The variables that could never be quantified.
York is an irrational variable.

Summary
“No,” Jaskier sighed. “This is the thing, Geralt. I’m middle-aged and tired and I just think I’d rather meet death sitting down and facing it rather than from behind while I’m running. You know?” He contemplated that a moment, and finally added, “Especially if it’s you.”
Set after the end of season 1.
UPDATE: The Fat Baby song in chapter 7 now exists here as composed and recorded by @fannishliss and is BRILLIANT.
See Series Notes on this series for a list of all the fics and what chronological order they go in, as well as recommended reading order if you're into that, just so you know what you're getting into here.
