Summary
Jaeyun’s suffered from broken arms, sprained ankles, scraped knees—he was always an athletic, rowdy little pup.
But none of that compared to the way his body viciously betrayed him from the inside, like something was holding him down; cracking his bones to force them to regrow into the shape it wanted to trap him in.
Or,
Jaeyun has always known who he is, more than his own body claims to. He thinks Jongseong might know him too.

Summary
As he twists the tap off, the door croaks opens behind him, and Jaeyun’s steady frame immediately wraps around Jongseong’s hunched body, hugging him tight with his soft face set against his back. Jaeyun’s warmth coats him like condensation on glass. He’s scared to move and have it fade away.
Jongseong darts his eyes to the mirror before them, staring at Jaeyun’s side profile, how he rubs his face against his shirt, thick nose prominent. He’s like a small dog, seeking warmth and a familiar scent. (Jongseong must be one too—always searching, always giving in to a soft touch.)
Mouth smushed against him, Jaeyun’s first words fall out in a happy, mumbled breath.
“You smell good, Jay-yah. Missed you.”
Or,
Jongseong thought he could handle the secrecy of his and his childhood best friend's relationship, but six months into it, and two weeks apart, he's started to realise otherwise.

Summary
Jongseong hardly steps a foot out of the woods, when he feels the back of his hair being ripped back. The hand grabs his hair close to their roots, as he’s pulled firmly against a chest, senses clogged with the scent of sea salt and rosewood.
Jaeyun.
“Not a very nice greeting, is it?” Jaeyun whispers straight into his ears. Jaeyun’s breath is hot on his skin, overcoming the icy air around them, as he tosses Jongseong’s head up and around, like his skull was merely something to play with.
Then again, Jongseong had done that too, hadn’t he? Ramming Jaeyun into the oak counter in his own cabin, hands on his neck like a ragged owner, unafraid of the inevitable that he is experiencing now, where Jaeyun would blink away the shock, and return the pain and assertion tenfold.
Or,
Jongseong has been prepared for the right way of life since childhood—one that always ended with his mating of a fellow pack omega.
That is until Jaeyun—a stray feral, turned hunter alpha from a rival pack—tumbles his way into Jongseong’s life, and shows him a world beyond what fate has prescribed.

Summary
Jaeyun and Jongseong did not sleep, instead talking into the night, more so Jongseong. He remembers asking Jaeyun why he suggested the name — Jongseong, collector of stars.
Sleepily, with one of his fangs poking out his mouth, a littler Jaeyun explained, “Despite everythin’ bad, you still find us things to be happy about, things to still love.”
Or,
Jaeyun has always trusted Jongseong, who in turn has always found reassurance and love in him.
Its not until Jaeyun is face to face with a violent end, that Jongseong comes to value his supernatural abilities — ones that had only ever felt like a curse.
