Terrible things always happened at night.
As a first responder, Eddie knew it wasn't even remotely true, but emergencies just felt worse once the Sun set over the Los Angeles’ horizon.
The lightning strike went through Buck while the city was plunged in the dark. It had felt this way, at least for Eddie, an almost never-ending night he wouldn’t have come back from if Buck had not woken up.
And right now, on their way to the hospital at midnight, his Omega sobbing in the passenger seat next to him, Eddie wished the night never came.

“Today, is November 14th, 2029. You’ve been gone for five years and apparently now you and everyone else that blipped is back. Get in the car.”

The blip happens, everyone but Buck and Bobby disappear, and Buck ends up with all the 118 children.
