So, Min Yoongi, aka Agust D, famous worldwide as the main rapper of Cypher, did what he thinks that any rational idol with no desire to be an idol any longer would do when presented with a new seven year contract to sign: he booked an indeterminate trip to the mountains while mid-crashout, told his best friend and bandmates via text message less than twenty minutes prior, and then immediately turned his phone on Do Not Disturb so that he doesn’t have to see any of the messages.

Yoongi stares.
“What?”
“The cat,” he adds. “I was wondering when Seokjinie-hyung got a cat.”
Yoongi’s mouth opens. Then closes. He drags a hand down his face.
“You climbed in through my window?”
The man shrugs, or at least tries to. It ends up more like a wiggle. He’s still laying on Yoongi’s couch. “It was low. I’m spry.”

“I saw this and thought of you,” Koushi says, his voice quiet but steady. “The sun reminded me of how you light up every room you walk into, and the stars… Well, I just thought it’d be nice for you to have something to carry with you. Something that reminded you that you’re always connected to the people who care about you.”
Tooru stares at the keychain for a long moment, his chest tightening with emotion. “Koushi…” His voice is uncharacteristically soft as he looks up, meeting Koushi’s eyes. “This is- It’s perfect. Thank you.”
Tooru doesn’t think, doesn’t hesitate for even a second as he steps forward and pulls Koushi into a warm hug. The cold is forgotten as Koushi’s arms wrap around him in return, and for a moment, the world feels wonderfully small, just the two of them in the quiet glow of the shrine.
“Happy New Year, Kou-chan,” Tooru murmurs, his voice filled with sincerity.
Koushi smiles against his shoulder. “Happy New Year, Tooru.”
OR: Oikawa Tooru has never lived in the same place for longer than a year until he meets Sugawara Koushi and finally feels like he has a reason to stay somewhere.
