"Here, Ryuuzaki," Souichiro said. "Take the notebook."
But L did not take the notebook. He almost did. But, believing in that intuition, and his own strength, L reluctantly shook his head. "No," he said. Light tried to reach across from him and grab it, and L all but slapped his hand away. "Put the notebook into an evidence bag and take it back to the task force headquarters. We need to clear this scene before anyone gets hurt."
If Souichiro hesitated, it was for a moment so brief that no one could detect it. "Of course, Ryuuzaki. I'll bring Higuchi to the police car."
"Are you insane?" Light demanded as Souichiro walked away. "We need to examine that notebook!"
"We'll do so later." L sipped his coffee, still hot, but starting to cool. What he didn't say was, I'll do so by myself, although that was what he meant. Because there was one other thing L knew as well as he knew Light, as well as he knew himself.
He could not let Light become Kira again.

Summary
Zhongli has walked the fields of Teyvat for thousands of years. He has loved, he has lost, and the grief is overbearing. It never dissipates, not even after three thousand seven hundred years. Childe is mortal, all too mortal, and Zhongli must curb whatever strange feelings begin to grow, because he cannot face that pain again. So he's more of a coward than the history books make him out to be: shame, at least, is easier to bear than hurt.

“Actually, now that I’m untethered to the divinity of Celestia,” Zhongli said, “I’ve allowed myself to enjoy the pleasures of mortality.”
“Mhm,” Childe said. “You’ve done it, then?”
“What is it?”
“You know.”
“Well, strictly speaking, no.”
“And loosely speaking?”
Zhongli let the silence simmer.
“I’ll take that as a no. Have you ever even kissed anybody?”
“Of course,” Zhongli said, though he wasn’t quite sure why this mortal made him so defensive.
“When?”
“Around four thousand years ago.”

“How's your stomach feeling?” He turned to Cecil like he hadn't spoken.
Cecil crawled backwards on the bed, fumbling over the edge of it. “Where am I?” He couldn't get enough air to his lungs, but every breath he did manage brought that smell, that rotting smell.
He knew where he was.

Seeing Nureyev again was...well, it was a lot of things for Juno. Dredged up feelings he'd managed to keep confined to when he was alone and Rita wasn't there to worry.
Overwhelming was a good word.
Happy was another.
Desperation, anxiety, longing, love.
Nureyev was there in the flesh, and Juno missed him more than he thought was possible to miss a maybe-ex-boyfriend.
