Since the whole "forget who Peter Parker is" thing, Peters had it okay. He's working on his GED, he has a semi-solid job delivering pizza, and he hasn't missed his rent. Yet. That being said, it's been a couple months, and things are... Weird. Little blips keep popping up around new york. Not like "The Blip" blips, or at least, he doesn't think so. More like little... Portals. Not like Dr. Strange's portals, like. Bluer? And before Peter can really investigate, something pulls him through. What's a 'Batman?' And what's this about a Gotham City Peter's never heard about?
Peter in gotham fic bc I have the brainrot and wanted to try something a little different. Not MCU cannon compliant, Peter is younger, and I'm mixing a bunch of headcannons and other media types of Peter in.

Summary
Peter, for once in his cursed life- seriously- he must have really pissed someone off in a previous one- was having a good day. He didn't trip on the uneven staircase into school. The school meal (pizza that was somehow both dry and wet simultaneously) was actually mildly heated for the first time, like, ever. His locker had even opened on the first try (without breaking the lock open with an unnatural strength)
Then God came crashing through his roof. Well maybe not The God, Himself, but a God, and in Peter’s opinion, that's close enough.

Summary
After the world forgot him, Peter kept fighting. He was Spider-Man after all. But as the villains get worse and the heroes dwindle, Peter finally grows tired. Hasn't he done his time? He's never once shirked the responsibility forced upon him. Never once has he put himself first.
Eventually, the straw breaks the camel's back. Peter finally hangs up the cape.
Unfortunately the universe seems to disagree. When Peter wakes up in Gotham he knows he should probably find a way home. But what's the point? Normal people don't find their way home across the multiverse, and Peter is normal now. He refuses to be anything else.
So why do unfamiliar heroes keep ending up on his doorstep? And can he really turn them away?
