“You’re not made of money out here,” San murmurs, the words drawn from somewhere low, somewhere bruised, dark and patient and rough with the weight of all the things he hasn’t said and may never say. His thumb drifts lower, down the elegant cut of Wooyoung’s jaw, slow and sure, tracing the line like he’s reading something written in a language only he knows. Reverence, hidden beneath the shape of danger. Worship disguised as a warning.

“Thanks, Sannie.” Wooyoung hums, turning to face San. He’s pretty. Wooyoung thinks San should’ve been the center of attention today, but in reality, he didn’t need to be here in the first place. He came to support, like he always does. When he’s having photos snapped every five seconds, his eyes linger for those few moments between to find San. Whether he’s staring back doesn’t matter, just as long as Wooyoung gets to look at him. Motivation comes in all shapes and sizes.
“Mmhm.” San hums shortly, eyes immediately departing from Wooyoung’s once he’s acknowledged. Wooyoung stitches his eyebrows, the mannerism throwing him off in the slightest. San’s always been hands on, arms around waists, heads on shoulders. But, now he’s giving Wooyoung absolutely nothing. Not even a pat on the back.
