Summary
War is over, however, whereas peace has fallen upon Panem it remains elusive for Katniss and Peeta. While one languishes in self-pity, the other wallows in self-hatred, and both are guilty of avoiding the other while caught up in misguided semblances of self-protection. Follow them as they reunite and embark on parallel journeys of self-discovery and self-worth as they attempt to reclaim their relationship and grow back together.
(NB: New to Ao3 and fanfiction in general, following an intensive crash course after the fact, I’ve since come to realise I made a major error in uploading the first 16 chapters of the main story in one go rather than pacing them over a few weeks. Summary
Katniss Everdeen has spent the last year attempting to appease President Snow and tame the Districts of Panem along side Peeta Mellark. Their efforts failing and the Quell announced, Katniss and Peeta find comfort in one another as their unique relationship grows. But things quickly change when an announcement shakes the people of Panem.
Chaos reigns below in the streets of Panem. Fire has erupted in the Capitol tonight.
I watch Peeta study the streets. His eyes watching over the uproar. A slight smirk tugging at his lips, proud of what he ignited.
“How long have you known?” I mumble, still somewhat shameful about hiding things from him.
Peeta’s smile drops and he meets my gaze. “I think when you knew.”
“This whole time?" I stir restlessly across from him. "I suppose I am not the best liar.”
“No you are not.” He laughs.

Summary
The 74th Annual Hunger Games have been suspended with half the Tributes still in the Arena, and the legalities of the entire affair in question. Panem is on the verge of war - against Snow, not the Capitol - and with all eyes on the Arena again, everyone is waiting to see what will happen now.
Sequel to "Afterburn" and "So Small A Thing". The last chapter of SSAT is, chronologically, not part of the narrative yet, and will be posted after Chapter Two of "In This Hour" - Part Three of the 'All Sorrows Less' 'Verse, from Peeta's POV.
