Chapter Text
The scene zooms in on a middle-aged man with a well-groomed mustache, indicating a certain level of maturity and refinement. The man awakens from his slumber, his eyes heavy with sleep, and stretches his tired body before gradually rising from the comfort of his bed. He moves purposefully, proceeding to dress himself meticulously, paying attention to every detail as he carefully selects his attire.
Once he's fully dressed, the man takes hold of a sleek, leather case, his hand clasping it with a sense of familiarity. He leaves his modest apartment room and descends the stairs, his footsteps echoing faintly in the quiet building. The man steps outside, greeted by the gentle morning light, and embarks on his routine morning walk, his face adorned with a genuine expression of contentment.
Strolling down the serene neighborhood street, the man exudes an air of joy as he passes by houses and gardens, nodding warmly to the people he encounters along the way. A quaint coffee store catches his attention, and he decides to indulge in a cup of steaming coffee. Entering the cozy establishment, the man engages in friendly banter with the workers, exchanging pleasantries and laughter. As the barista hands him his coffee, her face lights up with an infectious smile, which he reciprocates in kind.
Worker
“Here you go.”
Man
“Wow, thank you so much.”
In a moment of gratitude and generosity, the man retrieves his device from his pocket and uses it to provide a generous tip to the appreciative worker.
Worker
“Wow! Thanks!”
Man
“You enjoy your day ma’am.”
With a nod of acknowledgment, he bids farewell to the coffee store and continues his leisurely stroll. This time, he makes a concerted effort to greet every person he encounters, spreading warmth and kindness with his cheerful demeanor.
As he walks further, the man's compassionate nature shines through as he extends a helping hand to several elderly women struggling to navigate the busy street. With a heartfelt smile, he offers his assistance, their expressions transforming from concern to gratitude.
Grandma
“Oh goddess, bless your soul.”
Man
“Just helping the community, that’s all.”
The man gave the old women a smile and a nod, and continued his marry way.
The man turns a corner, now finding himself in Mokushu, the halfling neighborhood. However, an undeniable shift occurs in his demeanor as his smile slowly fades away. Suddenly, he becomes noticeably reserved, his usual greetings replaced by an uncharacteristic silence. He enters a nondescript building and navigates his way towards the back, ascending a short flight of steps. Reaching the rooftop, he positions himself near the edge, drawn to the breathtaking view before him.
Man
“Thank you goddess for blessing us with, yet again, another beautiful day.”
Savoring the crispness of the air, the man sets the case on the ground and carefully opens it. Inside rests a meticulously crafted bow and a single arrow, symbols of a hidden purpose. Deliberately, he retrieves the bow and arrow, assuming a practiced stance, his body aligning with precision. Pulling back the bowstring with his right arm, he squints, closing his left eye to enhance his aim. To steady his shot, he rests the side of his head against his right hand, the concentration on his face palpable.
His focus narrows to the front door of a particular house, an intense determination taking hold of him. The man's serene demeanor contrasts with the seriousness of his purpose, his intentions shrouded in mystery.
>INT. Yune's house- Night
The scene shifts over to Yune waking up from his bed. He wiped his eyes and blinked them several times.
Yune
“Yua…what time is it?”
Yua
“Nearly the full moon love.”
Yune
“*Sigh* Great, I’m late to my own rally.”
Yua
“Why not call it a day, love?”
Yune
“Well I have to ensure my people don’t follow that Kazuya.”
Yua
“Tsk tsk tsk, that Kazuya is always causing trouble again.”
Yune
“Ha, tell me about it.”
Yune brushes his teeth and shaves. Afterwards, he starts to get dressed.
Yua
“Well just remember, the fight isn’t over.”
Yune
“And it will never be over until our struggle comes to an end. Yeah yeah, I told you that one.”
Yua
“Ha, I know. I’m just saying, don’t let that Kazuya deter you away from your dreams.”
Yune
“Pfft, I won’t back down that easily haha.”
Yune finishes getting dressed.
Yune
“Not without a fight!”
Yua
“Save it for breakfast Mr. Tough guy.”
Yune
“Breakfast?”
Yune leaves the bathroom and looks over at the kitchen. His wife, whose stomach indicated that she was pregnant, was standing there with a plate in her hand.
Yua
“Uh, yeah. The thing you eat in the morning.”
Yune
“Oh baby I…I haven’t had breakfast in a very long time..”
Yua
“Course not, because you love having sermons in the morning.”
Yune
“Good point.”
Yua
“Come on love…sit down and have breakfast with me for once.”
Yune began to scratch his head.
Yune
“Oh baby…I…you know I want to..but I already organized this thing.”
Yua
“*Sigh* Married to your work I see.”
Yune
“Er..baby look.”
Yune walked over to Yua and placed his hand on gently on her shoulder.
Yune
“I’m married to you. You and our child's happiness is in my hands.”
Yua
“But what about raising our child? Will you be too preoccupied in fighting the fight?”
Yune
“Baby..”
Yua
“Hm?”
Yune
“You are my fight. Soon our children will become my fight. You're absolutely right I'll be preoccupied spending time with you two.”
Yua chuckled and smiled.
Yune
“What? I’m being serious.”
Yua
“No it’s just…that was good haha.”
Yune
“Pfft, I told you I was a romantic guy.”
Yua
“Mhm…yet I’m the only girl you managed to have fall in love with you.”
Yune
“Oho, cheap burn haha.”
The two kissed.
Yune
“I’ll be back before lunch love.”
Yua
“Mm, really?”
Yune
“Yeah…and I swear to you. The rest of the day shall belong to us.”
Yua
“Mmmmhm.”
Yune
“For real, I already have the day planned.”
Yua
“Mmmmmhmm.”
Yune
“Pfft, trust me, you’ll forget about all this and be the happiest woman in Tokyo.”
Yua
“Hmm, then I’ll hold you to it.”
The two kissed again.
Yune
"By the way, I want our daughter to be named Jiyuu"
Yua
"Ha, and what makes you so sure that it'll be a girl?"
Yune
"It's what my gut tells me, and my gut is always right."
Yua
"Yeah right."
Yune
"You watch, you're going to be pissed when I'm right haha."
Yua
"Oh get out of here, you're late as is."
The two kissed once more before Yune depared and made his way toward the door. As he did, the sound of bells ringing began to get louder and louder with each step forward taken. Yune’s face began to change from a smile to great concern. The bells continued to get louder and peaked at its' loudest upon placing his hand on the door. Yune froze, his body was still as sweat poured down his face. The bells were loud, too loud for him to concentrate.
Yua
“Babe?”
The sound of ringing church bells began to vanish, allowing Yune’s body to regain its composure. He turned around and looked at his wife.
Yune
“I love you.”
Yua
“I love you too.”
Yune’s breathing became relaxed. He smiled again and twisted the door knob. As soon as he opened the door, he was met with an empty white environment, except for the large church bell that rang in front of Yune.
Yune
“Has my time come, so soon?”
The bell continued to ring as no one answered him. Yune continued to make his way forward toward the giant bell. The screen brightens to white as a faint scream from Yua could be heard briefly before the sound cut off completely.
