Chapter 1: Isekai'd As a Quirk
Chapter Text
We all know stories where the main character is isekai’d into becoming Izuku Midoriya.
But what if, instead, the person turns into a sentient quirk similar to Tokoyami and Dark Shadow?
They could be around to protect and mentor Izuku before All Might and more or less become an older sibling figure for Izuku.
When Izuku gets One For All, the person turned into the sentient quirk can use it too, but to a better degree since they have no bones to break.
Chapter 2: My Hero Academia's Justice League
Chapter Text
What if quirks were caused by one of DC Comics’ villains over a hundred years ago? What if throughout the chaos the Justice League couldn’t sustain itself and they eventually had to disband?
This prompt is about the Justice League being legends in the new age of heroes and eventually, a group sets out to be those legends' predecessors.
In this My Hero Academia world magic and aliens are real and known about. People can gain powers through other means besides quirks.
There are multiple ways you can go about this prompt.
1) You can have All Might and Izuku be the ones to try and rebuild this new Justice League. All Might could act like a scout and go around the world searching for possible candidates from the new generation. Izuku would still stay in Japan and learn at U.A. He’d be either the Superman or Shazam for this new league.
Possible helpers for this type of choice would be Sir Nighteye, Grand Torino, and David Shield since they would all know about All Might’s dream to create a new Justice League. David acts as the tech guy giving the new league it’s equipment, Nighteye acts as another scout, and Grand Torino as a trainer.
2) You can have it so the U.N wants to create a new Justice League by picking candidates from the new generation that show an aptitude in heroics. They would then train these candidates to try and recreate the strength that the first global protectors have.
3) You can make it a group of friends who deeply respect the Justice League’s feats and want to recreate that League. They’d be training similar to Izuku and also trying to recruit possible candidates.
4) You could make it one of the former League members who have a long life span. They want to remake the Justice League to make sure the world stays safe when they pass away.
Diversity is the game here. You can have people of multiple races (aliens and mystics as well) and multiple origins similar to the actual Justice League.
There should be candidates that use magic whether it’s with or without their own quirk. Those with quirks, those who got powers in different ways from quirks, and even people without any powers.
Chapter 3: Sibling Prompt
Chapter Text
What if Izuku had a crippled former pro-hero sibling like Iida.
Hear me out. Izuku’s sibling was one of the fastest-rising rookie pro heroes ever like Kamui Woods. Then they are suddenly forced to stop because of an injury. However, this fact drives Izuku to want to be a hero even more to continue his sibling’s legacy.
It could be a way for Izuku to get out of All Might’s shadow early on because he wants to be like both All Might and his sibling. Meaning he could be less injured and think more about the uses for One For All.
Plus, you could make Muscular the villain that injures the sibling. This would give him parallels with not only Iida but Kota. Which could make a type of brotherly bond between the two.
If you really want to make this prompt interesting. You could make the sibling the original ninth wielder of One For All before they talk All Might into giving it to Izuku.
Plus, later on in the story. You could make a badass reveal that they’ve been secretly recovering and are near the level they were before the accident.
Chapter 4: Izuku Midoriya aka Deku, Quirk: Heroic (Reluctant) Presence
Chapter Text
A fun little play on the Reluctant Hero AU.
What of instead of just Izuku reluctantly becoming a hero, it was a curse both sides of his family has to suffer through because of their quirks.
Inko’s family was blessed with quirks that always gave them incredible good luck. Leading them to always doing heroic deeds as they grew up, even when they don’t mean to. Deeds such as accidently tripping a villain trying to escape, accidently grabbing a kid before they can run in front of a car by accident, randomly finding the last piece of evidence needed for a raid to happen that’ll catch tons of villains and criminals.
Hisashi’s family was blessed with quirks that enhance the powers of those around them like an evolved version of Koku Hanabata’s, aka Trumpet’s, quirk. Their quirks also had a almost hypnotic level charisma side effect that made the Hisashis hard to hate. Giving them more friends and followers and powering said peoples’ abilities up.
Both parents ended up getting dragged into becoming heroes for completely different reasons. Inko because her quirk dragged her down the path kicking and screaming after all of her accidental good deeds got her a recommendation to UA High that she was all but forced to accept. Hisashi because his friends dragged him into joining the exam due to their quirk-induced devotion towards him. The two meet each other and something clicks between them from their mutual moaning about how life sucks.
Years later they give birth to their son, Izuku Midoriya. Who ends up getting a perfect combination of their quirks due to how well they mix together and ends up having it named Heroic Presence.
Heroic Presence gives Izuku all of Inko’s luck and all of Hisashi’s support power to Izuku. Making him all but the leader of the next generation of heroes in Japan to those around him. The problem is, like his parents, he doesn’t want to become a hero.
Chapter 5: I Wanted To Be a Hero, So Why Am I In The Delinquent Course?
Chapter Text
What if things turned out differently in Aldera Middle School for Bakugou and Midoriya? What if Aldera was worse than in canon and led to Izuku facing an unexpected consequence?
In this prompt, the faculty at Aldera swapped Midoriya and Bakugou’s records instead of not writing down Bakugou’s actions to warn UA. So, Izuku is the one with a history of bullying among other offenses while Bakugou’s record was squeaky clean.
This leads Izuku to be a part of the first-ever class for UA’s new delinquent and young villain rehabilitation program. Where they try and help young power-drunk kids that society has babied for their incredible “heroic” quirks.
To make things interesting, you could make it so Nezu knows/learns the documents are swapped based on the two Aldera alumni's attitudes and All Might standing by Izuku. However, he still keeps Izuku in the rehabilitation course to test Izuku and see if he can help the other problem children straighten themselves out.
Chapter 6: Living Our Heroic Group Adventures
Chapter Text
A My Hero Academia isekai prompt. I’ve been more into the isekai trope lately. So, I made this.
What if an Ore(Mine)craft roleplay video creator group catches the attention of a My Hero Academia universe equivalent of Mr. Mxyzptlk? What if said equivalent sends this group to one of the worlds they made a series out of with the powers and age of their characters? What if said world was My Hero Academia?
In this prompt, a group of nerds who love to make videos out of their favorite series is sent to the My Hero Academia group as the canon events are starting. While being transported, they are given their characters' powers and find themselves living the lives of their characters. Said characters are in their last year of middle school.
The interdimensional being/god that sent them there gave them two specific rules if they want to return to their world. Or move freely between either their world or the MHA world any time they want.
The two rules are
Make sure Izuku Midoriya makes it through UA.
Keep their quirks at all times.
If they can get through MHA canon and complete these two rules, then they win.
You can make it so they all agree to keep it a secret and someone (probably Nezu honestly) finds out, they’re all on board with telling people they’re from another dimension to see the reactions or a little bit of both from different people in the group.
Chapter 7: The Adventures of a Legendary Hero’s Latest Reincarnation
Chapter Text
An idea I had that mixes well with my My Hero Academia Justice League prompt.
What if My Hero Academia was more like DC and Marvel? What if this included adding magic and immortals? What if Izuku wasn’t the only one with a legacy to continue? Or what if Izuku had a different legacy?
This prompt is about one of the most famous and powerful heroes before the pre-quirk age. One that mainly wielded magic and special items.
What people don’t know, though, is that the hero is an immortal who reincarnates into a new body and life every time they die instead of going to the afterlife. They’ve lived through multiple lives and have even been the base for multiple mythological legends. It takes a while for each reincarnation to remember who they are. Some aren’t able to remember at all.
This leads us to the hero’s latest reincarnation, which is either an original character or Izuku Midoriya, depending on what you want.
The general idea of the story is to have the original character unlock their seal magical powers by awakening and gathering all of their old magic items, such as weapons, armor, etc.
An idea for the magic equipment is that they’re all sentient and won’t go to the new reincarnation because he asks. The reincarnation has to earn it. The equipment may even choose someone else to wield them.
For Izuku, it could be more interesting if he still gets One For All, especially with all of the past wielders in his head. Who may be able to go into memories even he doesn’t know about.
Chapter 8: Izuku Midoriya Quirk: One For One Costume
Chapter Text
A quirk idea for Izuku involving the magical girl trope + All For One is Midoriya Hisashi. This is mostly just a fun trash idea that randomly popped into my head.
What if Izuku had traces of All For One in his body? What if All For One mutated dramatically when Izuku was born? What if Izuku was born with a quirk that screams hero with costumes and all?
In this, Izuku Midoriya gets a strangely mutated version of All For One that allows him not only to copy a quirk instead of stealing it but also lets him boost the strength or evolve the quirk of the person he copies.
However, to go with the power boost, the person Izuku copies also gets a costume similar to a hero costume that appears whenever they use their upgraded powers.
Again, this was just a funny trash idea I came up with. If I want to write something like this, I’d probably add magic to the MHA world.
Chapter 9: Prideful Fall, Rise of a Hero
Chapter Text
A My Hero Academia quirkless Bakugou prompt.
What if Kyudai Garaki informed All For One about Bakugou’s powerful quirk? What if by Midoriya and Bakugou’s first or second year of middle school, All For One steals the quirk for himself? What if Izuku still got One For All instead of Bakugou?
In this prompt, Bakugou loses his quirk and ends up being targeted by Aldera Jr. High more than Midoriya because of his actions in the previous year and his prideful nature despite losing the source of that pride. After a couple of years of this treatment, Bakugou’s attitude cooled significantly after realizing he can’t run away from the reality of his new situation. However, despite the mistreatment and understanding that he lost the ability to accomplish his dream, Bakugou can’t fully give up on his dream of becoming a hero.
So, during middle school, Bakugou changes his profession to support gear creation for heroes instead and starts studying how to create these items. Though, having to change his goal of becoming a hero to helping others become heroes kills him on the inside. However, he lost a lot of his spark after losing his quirk and feels this is the only way he can keep some semblance of his old dream.
The real impact on his situation, though, is when he sees that his old friend Izuku Midoriya got into the hero course and now seems to have a powerful quirk of his own.
Depending on what path you want to go with you could make it so Bakugou regretted his actions towards Izuku too much and avoided him instead of trying to become friends again. Or you could have it where the two reform their bond together after Bakugou finally accepts his situation.
Either way, though, he’ll see it as some form of karma for what he did when he had power while Izuku tried to protect others despite being powerless.
I’m going to be giving an example of the former path for this, though.
As they both go to UA, Izuku may want to try and get in touch with Bakugou still since he still sees Bakugou as a friend and is worried about him. So, he can make a special request to have Bakugou be the one to work on his support gear instead of anyone else. Maybe he tries to visit the lab once or twice, but Bakugou avoids him as much as possible.
Anyway, during the Sports Festival, Bakugou is told that this will be a good opportunity for students to have the chance to display their skill and get scouted for the hero course and he can’t help himself, he asks Power Loader if it’s possible for support course students to join the hero course. Power Loader tells him that it is and at first while partaking in the Sports Festival, Bakugou only focuses on showing off his support gear like Mei. However, after hearing the praise for both his skill and gear, he can’t help but want to go further and see if he has the chance to ignite his dream of becoming a hero again. Maybe even a symbol of his own.
This prompt is basically a genius that faces a downward slope before slowly rising back up again. You can choose whether to keep Bakugou quirkless and make him a symbol for those without quirks or you can let him get his quirk back with his new personality.
Chapter 10: The Princess and Apprentice's Mission
Chapter Text
An IzuMomo My Hero Academia x Seven Deadly Sins prompt.
What if Momo took Elizabeth’s place but wasn’t the destined lover of a demon and instead another reincarnator? What if the person every incarnation of her fell in love with a fellow angel who continues to be reincarnated, named Izuku Midoriya? What if their latest reincarnations were a princess and holy knight apprentice searching for the seven most wanted criminals of their country?
In this prompt, Momo is a princess on the same quest as Elizabeth trying to find the Seven Deadly Sins to save her kingdom with apprentice holy knight Izuku acting as her bodyguard. Both of them are the reincarnations of goddesses from All Might’s past.
You could go with a more parent-and-child approach for All Might’s relationship with them instead of Meliodas and Elizabeth's lover relationship.
Here are a few candidates for each sin if you’re looking for ideas.
Wrath: Yagi Toshinori (All Might), Kugo Sakamata (Gang Orca), Kaina Tsutsumi (Lady Nagant)
Pride: Yagi Toshinori, Rumi Usagiyama (Mirko)
Envy: Enji Todoroki (Endeavor), Hizashi Yamada (Present Mic)
Gluttony: Taishiro Toyomitsu (Fatgum)
Lust: Nemuri Kayama (Midnight), Mirai Sasaki (Sir Nighteye)
Greed: Yu Takeyama (Mount Lady), Sorahiko Torino (Gran Torino)
Sloth: Shota Aizawa (Eraser Head), Keigo Takami (Hawks)
Chapter 11: My NT Hero
Chapter Text
A My hero Academia x Megaman NT Warrior Prompt.
What if quirks didn’t exist in My Hero Academia? What if the evolution of humanity came from technology? What if it leads to the creation of a cyber world and digital helpers?
In this prompt, netnavis replace quirks, and heroes are replaced with the Netpolice.
Izuku Midoriya dreams of becoming a member of the Netpolice, but only has a mass production model navi and subpar battling skills. Due to this, he loses most of the navi battles he's in. However, that all changes one day when he stumbles upon a code that he accidentally uses to create his own custom netnavi and meets his hero Yagi Toshinori and their netnavi partner, All Might.
Now Izuku and his netnavi partner have become junior Netpolice and go on missions while investigating an unknown organization calling themselves The League (or World Three if you want to stick to that) with his fellow junior Netpolice. This organization wants to change the world as they know it.
As the investigation goes on, Izuku finds out that the code that created his navi is a special key that will unlock the way to a powerful program.
Chapter 12: The Law of Izuku
Chapter Text
A My Hero Academia crossover story involving an old anime called Law of Ueki.
Basically, Izuku is a heavenly being that was sent to Earth by his real parents in a gambit to have one of them become the Celestial King (aka God) via the Celestial King Candidate Tournament.
A little background. Heavenly Beings are a race of people that look like humans with the ability to give people powers of their own. The catch is that power-users can’t attack non-power-users without losing a talent. A talent is as it sounds, the ability to do something. It can be the talent to rule, run, sow, dig, search, swim, dance, etc. If a power-user loses all of their talents, they cease to exist. The powers are usually a form of transmutation. They include, turning coins into wind, turning trash into trees, turning one second into ten, turning their voice into a freezing gas, turning their shadow into a robot.
Heavenly Beings have access to a set of weapons called the Sacred Weapons. They gain these weapons via a creature called a Celestial Beast. Celestial Beasts put Heavenly Beings through trials to give them the chance to unlock their Sacred Weapons. They’re also unable to hurt humans, should they hurt one, they’ll die immediately. Even if it’s a power-user.
The Sacred Weapons are like this
First Star Sacred Weapon, Kurogane
This sacred weapon is of consciousness/realization and is unlocked when someone realizes they’re a heavenly being. It’s a large cannon that grows out of the user’s arm.
Second Star Sacred Weapon, Hood (Fūdo)
The sacred weapon of perseverance. It’s a giant fist that rises from the ground to protect the user.
Third Star Sacred Weapon, Ranma
The sacred weapon of firmness. It’s a giant sword that grows from the user’s arm.
Fourth Star Sacred Weapon, Mash (Mashu)
The sacred weapon of body and strength. It’s a cube-shaped head that can be summoned or launched from the ground to chomp on the opponent.
Fifth Star Sacred Weapon, Pick (Ressen)
The sacred weapon of centralization. It’s a large column that shoots from the user’s arm towards the enemy.
Sixth Star Sacred Weapon, Raika
The sacred weapon of anticipation. They take the form of a pair of skates that increase the user’s speed. Unfortunately, Heavenly Beings can’t jump while they’re on.
Seventh Star Sacred Weapon, Gulliver (Galiper)
The sacred weapon of speed. It takes the form of a grid of light that forms on the ground. A box can appear on any of the squares in half a second to capture anyone within the grid.
Eighth Star Sacred Weapon, Namihana
The sacred weapon of capturing. It takes the form of a large whip that grows from the user’s arm.
Ninth Star Sacred Weapon, Seiku
The sacred weapon of flight that’s gained through balance. It takes the form of a pair of wings that grow from the user’s back.
Tenth Star Sacred Weapon, Arch-Enemy (Maoh)
The sacred weapon gained through will. It’s a formless creature that takes a different form based on what Heavenly Being uses it. It can only be used by a Heavenly Being three times in their entire lives. It’s strength depends on the will of the summoner.
Most of the Sacred Weapons usually look like they are made of stone unless the Heavenly Being using them is a power-user themselves. Power using Heavenly Beings are called Neo and the power of their Sacred Weapons are at least doubled since they combine with the Neo’s power.
The Celestial King Candidate Tournament is a tournament between Heavenly Beings to see who becomes the next Celestial King (aka God) by having the single power-user that a Heavenly Being chose fight against other ones in a battle royal.
The winning power-user gets whatever talent they want while their Heavenly Being gets to be Celestial King.
Powers can also level up into a Level Two power after they gain full control of their Level One power, which unlocks a secondary effect. For example, the user can induce magnetism on any metal they create. I digress, though.
Izuku is found as a baby by Hisashi and Inko and adopted by them. However, due to his Heavenly Being nature, he doesn’t gain a quirk. However, Heavenly Beings are naturally stronger than humans. So, he may fall under the category of a weak strength-enhancing quirk user.
Eventually, canon happens where Izuku is given One For All. However, at the same time, a Heavenly Being besides his birth parents finds him and sees him as a worthy person to give a power to for his heroic heart.
An interesting thing that could happen is that because of the quirk-factor, power-users can use their powers on non-power users without the penalty of losing a talent happening.
Eventually, Izuku finds out he’s a Heavenly Being and starts to unlock his Sacred Weapons. Said weapons evolve past Neo into a whole new form of Heavenly Being by infusing the weapons with both his power given by his Celestial King Candidate and One For All.
Now, Izuku has to deal with school work, villains, fighting against other power-users, and the realization that he’s not human.
Chapter 13: A Hidden Gem, An Ace, A Demon
Chapter Text
Black Clover x My Hero Academia prompt.
What if My Hero Academia was set in a fantasy au like Black Clover? What if Izuku was born with a weak magic element instead of having no magic or anti-magic? What if Bakugou still got powerful magic like Explosion Magic? What if either an original character or Asta were the demon wielder?
In this prompt, everyone in My Hero Academia is in a Black Clover world where magic dominates the world. Instead of taking Asta’s place as a magicless boy who later gains Anti-Magic from the demon inside of him, Izuku Midoriya has weak unassuming magic like Paper Magic, Wool Magic, String Magic, or Glass Magic. Despite his weak magic, he dreams of becoming a magic knight like the Wizard King Toshinori Yagi. However, his dream is mocked because of his weak magic. This changes when Toshinori secretly watches Izuku attempt to stop a person trying to raid his village and sees potential in him. Seeing that, Toshinori decides to pass the magic of the Wizard Kings down to the boy.
Bakugou is the village ace who uses a rare and powerful magic element called Explosion. With it, he dreams of becoming the Wizard King. In the future, he can gain the Salamander fire spirit and combines it with his magic to make both stronger.
And the last person is a person who can’t use magic due to an Anti-Magic demon being inside of them. Despite their lack of magic, they still dream of becoming a magic knight. Once their Anti-Magic starts to show, they may even think about becoming the Wizard King. It can be either an original character or Asta.
So, instead of it being two rivals that are polar opposites, it’s three people with different origins. One was born with powerful magic and natural talent. One was born with weak magic but was bestowed the magic of the strongest person in the kingdom. The last one has no magic but an ability that has the potential to destroy the world.
Chapter 14: Deku: The Coordinator Course Student
Chapter Text
What if there were more types of heroes? What if UA had another program in it run by Nezu himself? What if a Quirkless Izuku Midoriya suddenly finds himself getting a letter of recommendation the year before he attempts to join UA?
This is an inversion of the villain Deku concept where Izuku Midoriya becomes an underground strategist who plans out heists for other criminals. In this au, there are heroes called coordinators. These heroes mainly focus on creating patrol schedules for different agencies, looking over data, planning out raids on villains, and creating strategies for how to defeat specific villains or Quirks. They are allowed to do regular hero work as well, meaning that they’re trained with other hero course students.
Students that have displayed an aptitude for strategy or analysis, such as Izuku Midoriya, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Setsuna Tokage, are scouted for their ability and may be given a letter of recommendation for the coordinator course if they’re interested. Those that accept work side-by-side with the hero course, support course, and business course students during their curriculum to learn social skills and how to work in all categories of hero work; for better planning. There are even some training exercises like the joint training between classes A and B, where coordinator students have to lead their teams to victory.
Izuku is given a letter before he meets with All Might and excitedly meets Nezu with his mom about the program. The meeting is on the same day as the Sludge Villain incident, causing Izuku to miss out on meeting his hero and not gaining One For All. So, now Izuku is planning to enter the hero course under the coordinator program as a Quirkless hero who relies on support gear similar to Batman or Green Arrow.
Chapter 15: My Heroic Ring
Chapter Text
A My Hero Academia idea for its Fantasy AU
What if the Fantasy AU followed the Fantasy Character Classes trope and Adventurers had a version of the Gamer ability? What if All Might had died during the battle with All For One and hidden a magic item before succumbing to his injuries? What if that magic item was a ring that allows anyone who wears it to unlock the strongest Class during the Adventurer Class selection process? What if it also lets you see the ghosts of dead adventurers?
In this prompt, Fantasy Izuku finds the magic ring of the fallen hero Yagi Toshinori, who died during a climactic battle against the dark wizard known only by their epithet, All For One. The ring lets whoever wears it choose the Hero Class as their Adventurer Class during the selection process.
The Hero Class is widely considered the strongest Class due to it having the unnatural ability to choose Skills from all other Classes as long as the conditions for that Skill are met, meaning that the Hero Class is the most versatile Class an Adventurer can have. So, you can give Izuku any kind of build you want.
The ring also lets Izuku see the ghosts of the previous wielders of the ring. So, he can see Yagi Toshinori and the other wielders like Nana Shimura.
Chapter 16: Izuku Midoriya, Quirk: Territory
Chapter Text
What if Izuku had a Quirk? What if said Quirk was one that had steps he needed to take in order to activate it? What if his Quirk turned the area into a video game dungeon?
In this prompt, Izuku gained a relatively strange power, even by Quirk standards, that lets him set up a dungeon core and turn the area around it into a dungeon that spawns monsters. Because of this, the other kids started bullying Izuku for his ‘unheroic’ Quirk.
However, Izuku continued to train his Quirk to the point where he could turn a large building into a dungeon. Maybe you could even have a hero like Gang Orca help Izuku train Izuku with his Quirk. Possibly even causing him to get a letter of recommendation for UA.
Chapter 17: Izuku Midoriya Quirk: Strategic Gamer
Chapter Text
A somewhat different Gamer Deku AU is based more on the teacher and strategy gamer systems. I haven’t seen a lot of Gamer stories so I don’t know if this is common for a My Hero Gamer story.
What if Izuku had a Quirk that can help a person’s growth rate as if they were in a game? What if said Quirk also let him have a bird’s-eye view of the battlefield and gain information on enemies around them? What if this Quirk had the ability to mess with a person’s Quirk?
In this prompt, Izuku was born with a Quirk that gives him a type of Gamer System based on teaching and strategy. Making him perfect for leading and supporting. He can help his fellow hero students upgrade their Quirk and possibly unlock a new characteristic for their Quirks similar (yet weaker) to when a Quirk awakens.
His Quirk isn’t only good for analyzing and helping his peers improve, though. He can also use it to view villains and analyze their capabilities in the form of data. It takes away the uncertain aspect when dealing with not knowing a person’s Quirk and lets him better create strategies to defeat the villains.
Chapter 18: Power Output Trouble
Chapter Text
What if Izuku had another problem he had to deal with while trying to master One For All? What if that problem involved accidentally using too much power to do day-to-day activities such as opening a door?
This is a little comedic prompt idea I remembered and am finally getting around to writing down.
Basically, the energy within One For All is too much for Izuku to actively contain at the start. So, it ends up leaking out of him slightly and causes him to use more strength than he wants when doing things. Meaning that he’ll accidentally do things like breaking door handles in his grip, tearing doors off their hinges when opening them, snapping things in his hand, leaving footprints in the ground, etc. He may even accidentally break Katsuki’s arm when he stands up to him during their confrontation after the UA entrance exam.
It’s just an idea if you want to add more side effects at the start of when Izuku gets One For All.
Chapter 19: Izuku Midoriya, Quirk: Persona Manifestation
Chapter Text
What if Izuku wasn’t Quirkless? What if his Quirk can only be activated when a certain type of damage is dealt to him, like losing a limb? What if said Quirk created clones with their own abilities to protect him?
So, this is a prompt I came up with for Izuku because I absolutely LOVE Demon Slayer and the multiverse the My Hero Academia fandom came up with. So, it made me come up with an idea where Izuku was born with a Quirk, but it has the same function as Hantengu’s Blood Demon Art from Demon Slayer.
However, instead of spawning younger versions of himself, this one creates duplicates based on alternate versions of himself.
Examples
Fear = The main body of Izuku that’s the weakness of the Quirk. They have a shrinking Quirk and mainly need to run away.
Anger = Villain Strategist Izuku with a string manipulation or mind control Quirk.
Sadness = Non-Hero au Izuku, where the clone doesn’t want to be heroic but still does his job with a water manipulation Quirk.
Joy = Support Course Izuku with a similar Quirk to Momo.
Pleasure = Singer Izuku with a voice amplification Quirk
Bravery = Fantasy Izuku with a blade manipulation Quirk.
Protectiveness: Female Izuku with a version of Inko’s Quirk.
Kindness = Older/Hero Izuku with the ability to use the Quirks of his previous manifestations.
Resentment = All For One Izuku but with his other manifestations’ Quirks instead of being able to steal Quirks.
Of course, this is an overpowered ability on its own. So, I doubt you’d want to give Izuku One For All. Maybe you can go for a character that doesn’t get much spotlight, like Jurota, Nirengeki, Kendo, Monoma, Kirishima, Tetsutetsu, Sen, Shoji, Sato, and so on.
It also has its own weaknesses.
Examples
Aizawa’s Erasure Quirk can stop the clones’ abilities and leave them as strong as ordinary teens.
Capturing and damaging the main body can affect the clones
Stain’s Quirk might be able to affect all the clones at once since they came from the same body.
The clones are well-coordinated but still inexperienced and can be out-classed by more experienced opponents such as Aizawa, top pro-heroes, Lady Nagant, and Stain.
The clones get overpowered by strong Quirks like Gigantification, Muscle Augmentation, Overhaul, Half Hot Half Cold, etc.
It’s just a fun ‘Izuku was born with a Quirk, but it needs special conditions to activate’ prompt that popped into my head.
Chapter 20: Scribbles and Mutters
Chapter Text
What if Izuku’s family were descendants of magic? What if their ancestors had left some artifacts behind? What if Izuku stumbles upon one in the form of a magic notebook that gives life to what he writes inside?
This is basically a “what if Izuku’s habit of filling out notebooks became his power” prompt or a Scribblenauts x My Hero Academia crossover.
In this prompt, Izuku would find a magic notebook among his family’s old heirlooms and begin using it to write notes, dreams, fantasies, or thoughts. However, while doing this, he discovers the magic within the notebook when something he writes down manifests. Seeing this as a chance for him to become a hero, Izuku and his mom have it as his Quirk.
With the notebook, Izuku mainly relies on summoning things to fight for him and create equipment for himself. However, depending on what you go for, you may be able to have Izuku capable of fighting via using adjectives on him.
Chapter 21: The Second Bully
Chapter Text
I ended up thinking of this idea after remembering my Quirkles Bakugou prompt.
What if Katsuki and Izuku aren't the only ones from Aldera to make it into UA? What if another student managed to get in but had a much more difficult time standing at the top of the class, like Katsuki?
In this prompt, another person with a relatively above-average Quirk from Aldera Middle School takes the UA entrance exam and manages to pass. However, his time there becomes an even more eye-opening experience than Bakugou's. Instead of being one of the upper members of his class, he’s average to below average in terms of ability.
He could be last place in the Entrance Exam, in the lower rankings of Aizawa’s first-day test, lose his combat training, have difficulty with the villains at the USJ, etc. The point is he experiences the full brunt of the hero course, shattering the self-confidence developed back in Aldera when he used to bully those weaker than him, like Izuku. Speaking of Izuku, watching his old victim’s achievements and growth is another blow to the oc and causes him to debate his life.
Will the oc be kicked out of the hero course? Will they apologize and join Izuku’s friend group? Will they have their own chance to shine?
I think prompts and stories like these are interesting because they create the perfect foil character for Izuku and Katsuki since the person starts out as a cocky ‘successful’ person who suddenly finds themselves going through a downward slope. This is similar to Katsuki’s, but he mainly stays at the top of the class and opposes Izuku, who starts at zero and rises up in a more continuous upward slope.
Chapter 22: Izuku Midoriya, Quirk: Transfusion
Chapter Text
What if Izuku had a Quirk? What if his Quirk functioned in a manner similar to Toga’s Quirk and Trigger?
In this prompt, Izuku has a blood-based Quirk that allows him to absorb and give away his blood. It can be by needle-like tendrils that grow out of his body, manipulating the blood in his body while drawing blood leaking from a person due to their injuries. Anyway, both processes of absorbing and giving away blood have their own effects.
When Izuku absorbs blood, he uses the cells to use the Quirk of the person he takes the blood from, similar to Toga’s Quirk. Like Toga’s Quirk, he can only use this Quirk temporarily. The strength of the absorbed Quirk can also be decided by how much blood he manages to absorb.
When Izuku gives his own blood to another person, that person can get a boost, with the timeframe and quality depending on how much of Izuku’s blood is shown. The boost can enhance their physical capabilities along with their Quirks. Maybe if Izuku gives them the blood of someone else, they can even use their Quirk as well.
Of course, Izuku’s Quirk also enhances his own capabilities as well. Plus, if Izuku gets One For All, it may boost both effects of Izuku’s Quirk by further enhancing the person he gives his blood to and enhancing any Quirks he acquires.
Another idea involves Izuku’s confrontation with the Nomu during the USJ. Izuku may try absorbing large amounts of the Nomu’s blood out of desperation to stop them and gain their Quirks permanently due to the amount he stole since the Nomu kept regenerating the blood he lost to give Izuku a near-infinite amount.
Chapter 23: Heroic Clan of the Breath
Chapter Text
A Demon Slayer x My Hero Academia prompt.
What if records of Total Concentration Breathing and various Breathing Styles survived the rise of Quirks? What if it was in the form of a modern-day Quirk-age samurai clan? What if Midoriya Izuku was the heir to this clan?
Basically, an Izuku is the heir to a clan story idea that’s unrelated to the yakuza. Here, his family are descendants of demon slayers and had kept as much documentation on their methods as possible for the future, in case demons ever rose again. This would later come in handy when Quirks started to appear as the family dived into the documents and started to bring back their ancestors’ arts to use against villains. They’d later branch the family off into various branch families with connections in the various fields of heroics as the industry expands, becoming one of the most illustrious families in the hero industry.
Fast forward to Izuku’s generation. His family still holds a lot of power within the industry due to their connections and the overall strength of their members since, for some reason, even the people that should be biologically Quirkless have above-average physical abilities to go with their swordsmanship. The clan keeps their breathing techniques a secret so as to not cause another uproar and villain population as a result. The clan only has documentation on the five basic Breathing Styles derived from Sun Breathing, Water, Stone, Fire, Wind, and Thunder. However, they branch off to make styles more comfortable for them and their Quirks. The Quirked members use their abilities to enhance their Breathing Styles, like how Kokushibo and Kaigaku used their Blood Demon Arts.
Then there is Izuku Midoriya. The Quirkless heir to the family that seems to be unable to master any of the five basic Breathing Styles. He even appears unable to create a specialized one that better fits his needs. He’s brought about in-fighting within the clan as a large faction doesn’t see him suited to take over his father’s role due to his lack of a Quirk and inaptitude with any of the Breathing Styles. However, Izuku’s inability stems from how restrictive each Breathing Style is because he’s a natural Sun Breather, and all his teachers mainly focused on their individual Styles over trying to combine them.
So, Izuku has to fight for his place as a hero and within his family while rediscovering the lost first Breathing Style and possibly learning how to control One For All as well. If you still want him to gain the Quirk. He has to fight off members trying to usurp his position as heir along with the League of Villains.
A fun thing you could possibly do is have some of the more martial arts adept students like Ojiro, Kendo, and Rin learn Total Concentration Breathing from Izuku.
Chapter 24: The Explosive 'Hero' and 'Useless' Support
Chapter Text
So, a little background. I am absolutely obsessed with the “Main character is kicked out of hero’s party” trope and am mad at myself for not coming up with this sooner because Bakugou and Midoriya are literally the perfect setup for the type where the chosen ‘hero’ is an asshole and decided to toss out the ‘dead weight’.
Anyway, Bakugou, Midoriya, Tsubasa, Fingers (middle school friend #1), and Jaws (middle school friend #2) are all childhood friends with the dream of becoming heroes. However, the group has different reasons. Three of the five (Tsubasa, Jaws, and Fingers) want to live in luxury while riding on their leader’s coattails, Bakugou to prove he’s the greatest, and Midoriya wants to help people.
If you want to go a fantasy RPG route, here are some classes.
Bakugou: Barbarian, Hero, Warrior, War Master
Midoriya: Mage, Enchanter, Monk, Paladin, Cleric, Druid
Fingers: Rogue
Jaws: Ranger, Fighter, Barbarian
Tsubasa: Fighter, Ranger
Whatever you choose, it’s more of a start for Midoriya and Bakugou. The party does fairly well and makes a name for itself pretty quickly. However, throughout their adventures, the party slowly sees Midoriya as the load and eventually kicks him out. Whether it’s Bakugou getting sick of him or the other three framing him for something/leaving him behind, he’s out.
Then it’ll follow a relatively standard plot for the trope by either.
1) Unlocking/finding an incredible power after getting kicked out and becoming far more powerful than when he was thrown out.
2) Joining/making another party that causes his natural ability to be clearly displayed and shows he’s far from a burden.
3) Moving into a different career that he’s really talented in like being an advisor for adventurers.
Any of the ways, Midoriya eventually starts doing far better than when he played a supporting role for Bakugou. Meanwhile, Bakugou’s Party isn’t doing so well. Bakugou himself is smart and strong enough to handle things without Midoriya around. However, the other three aren’t holding up so well. They can be disorganized due to Midoriya being the team strategist, having trouble with the upkeep of their equipment, or not performing well individually because they relied on Midoriya’s enchantments. Bakugou is no help because he mainly focuses on fighting alone and being the strongest over actual teamwork.
Eventually, this bites them to the point where the other three die, Bakugou throws them out, or they become too injured to continue. This is a learning experience for Bakugou and causes him to start to grow as a leader and possibly as a person.
One of my personal pet peeves about the trope is how the ‘hero’ or party leader never seems to grow up if they’re of the asshole variety. They either go full bad guy or just vanish instead of growing up when they realize they're not all that great or special. I’d love to read one where there’s a subplot about the leader or old party growing up.
Chapter 25: I Think I’m the Protagonist, Destiny Thinks so Too
Chapter Text
An alternate Izuku take where he has a solipsist or has a protagonist-centered mentality.
After being diagnosed Quirkless, it doesn’t affect Midoriya as much as one would expect because he thinks he’ll end up like some of his favorite fictional characters, Mantisman, Steel Suit, Crossbolt, and Martial Boy. Characters that are surrounded by individuals with powers but still prove themselves as key members of their teams with nothing but skill and smarts. Because of this emulation, he actually trains his body more than his mind. A bonus if you have him break down some of Bakugou’s ego by deconstructing Bakugou’s notion that he’s the best at a younger age by talking about these characters’ origin and how those with strong abilities like his are often fodder if he’s not careful.
Skip to the future, Midoriya's belief remains unwavering despite how much others try to put him down. In fact, it becomes more concrete when All Might offers him One For All after seeing him run to help Bakugou escape the Sludge Villain. Plus, during the rooftop confrontation between the two, Midoriya may catch All Might's attention by not only refusing to accept his words but also going into a talk about heroes with support gear and so on with absolute confidence in himself and his abilities despite being Quirkless. Anyway, finding out that he's getting the power from the number one hero after training his whole life on how to handle Quirks without one only enhances his belief in himself and how he's the protagonist.
I thought it would be a pretty funny idea if we had a Midoriya who owned his Quirklessness and had a similar belief to Bakugou, albeit displaying it less aggressively.
Chapter 26: Roulette Offspring
Chapter Text
We see a lot of All For One is Hisashi stories where Izuku gets a version of All For One. However, what if we had one where all of All For One’s stolen Quirks had an adverse effect on the Quirk DNA within Izuku and caused him to have an unstable and constantly changing Quirk Factor?
Because of this, Midoriya’s Quirk changes constantly. It can change when he’s asleep, it can change while eating breakfast, and it could change during combat. Midoriya isn’t sure when or what his Quirk will change into, and it can make becoming a hero difficult.
When Izuku gets One For All, his various Quirks may get a power boost due to the energy stored up within it.
Chapter 27: Barista Izuku Midoriya
Chapter Text
What if Izuku had another hobby besides taking notes on Quirks and heroes?
This is a prompt I made based on those Izuku is secretly a pop star stories. It just felt like another funny crack idea.
Basically, Izuku takes up a second hobby where he makes different types of drinks based on different pro-heroes that are actually pretty popular. A lot of pro-heroes or students want a drink made after them because of how popular and delicious they are.
Chapter 28: Intersecting Courses
Chapter Text
Here's a prompt that changes UA's school curriculum to give the other courses a little more focus. I thought it would be a cool prompt if you want to try to expand the school part of My Hero Academia.
What if UA had a system in place where the courses had to intersect in groups of four? One Hero Course student, one General Studies student, one Business Course student, and one Support Course student. This system was set in place to help the students from each course.
The Hero course would learn more about the other areas of Hero work.
The Support Course could gain experience of being around a Hero, taking into account the Hero's personality while creating their inventions, and learn more about budgeting and promotion from the Business Course.
The Business Course could try getting hands-on experience with understanding how to promote a Hero and equipment through their Hero Course and Support Course partners.
The General Education department students could get some help with their aspirations of being a Hero from the other Courses or just being a civilian friend for the other students to give another point of view or voice.
I thought this would be a fun prompt since it can create a few interesting friend combos and give you the chance to introduce your own original characters.
Chapter 29: My Quirk is Using Others as a Weapon
Chapter Text
Soul Eater x My Hero Academia crossover Izuku with a Quirk idea.
What if Izuku had a Quirk? What if it was relatively useless due to it's nature? What if it was a Quirk capable of enhancing another's natural abilities in an unorthodox way?
Izuku Midoriya has a Quirk that turns him into a Weapon Meister from Soul Eater. His Quirk allows him to manipulate his soul while also seeing the souls of others and letting him turn people into Weapons for him to wield.
While in weapon form, the person's Quirk seems to be enhanced, and it can be further strengthened when they and Izuku resonate their souls in a different form of Soul Resonance.
For how this Quirk can be enhanced through training, Izuku can learn to turn his soul wavelength into attacks like advanced Meisters, learning how to tell someone's lying by how their soul reacts, improving the strength boost of a person's Quirk when they turn into a Weapon, learning how to balance having multiple Weapon partners, and how to resonate with people better while in combat.
What could make this more interesting is if every person Izuku resonates with ends up feeling really close to him from it. It could open up a lot of comedic moments, like people debating who is the best among Izuku's Weapon partners, and can be a good bridge to any romantic interest you want for him.
Another interesting thing you can do for this idea is still give Izuku One For All to further enhance any Weapon partner Izuku uses (at the risk of them breaking instead of him) and possibly have others learn about Izuku's condition from seeing the other past users of One For All.
Here are a few ideas for different Weapon forms Izuku's classmates can take.
Bakugou
A gauntlet similar to his Hero Costume, a grenade launcher, a hammer, a cannon, or a heavy caliber pistol.
Todoroki
A gauntlet that wields fire and ice, a double-sided or two-prong spear, or even giving him multiple weapon forms for both sides and a soul resonance that wields both sides simultaneously.
Uraraka
A gauntlet that controls gravity, a broom, a whip, or an axe.
Iida
A jet-propelled spear, hammer, skateboard, lance, or sword.
Yaoyorozu
Armor that can have additional features added to it thanks to Yaoyorozu, a cannon, or a halberd.
Asui
Ball and chain, Kendama, a weapon with a rope at the hilt to throw and pull back or increase the range of the weapon.
Kaminari
Any weapon or a gauntlet that's supplemented with electricity.
Kirishima
A shield, armor, hammer, or ram.
Ashido
A snowboard that creates acid under it, a flamethrower-like acid weapon, or a bladed weapon that uses acid to increase its cutting power.
Sero
A large tape dispenser or arm brace.
Jiro
An instrument that releases sonic blasts with a jack that can be inserted into the ground or a hammer with speakers that can also act as transportation, like a witch's broom.
Tokoyami
A scythe, katana, or sword that can manipulate shadows/summon Dark Shadow.
Aoyama
A laser sword, spear, or gun.
Mineta
Bola, a pistol whose ammo can increase and size and act like Mineta's Quirk.
Ojiro
Three-section-staff.
Koda
A whip, a collar that lets Izuku use Kota's Quirk, or bolas.
Sato
A hammer or axe.
Shoji
A scythe, armor, or a sword that can expand/create more blades or material along it.
Hagakure
A light-manipulating sword to turn her attacks invisible and enhance their sharpness (basically an invisible lightsaber), a mirror, or a full-body cloak.
Chapter 30: That Time I Got Reincarnated as Black Blood in a Hero Hopeful
Chapter Text
Another Soul Eater x My Hero Academia prompt. This could fit into an old My Hero Academia prompt called Isekai'd as a Quirk.
What if Izuku was born with a strange, almost villainous, Quirk that turned his blood into a weapon? What if that Quirk was sentient and gave the previously lonely boy a companion? What if it was a person from our world reincarnated?
It's all there in the questions. In this prompt, someone from our world gets reincarnated as a being like Ragnarok from Soul Eater, with Izuku Midoriya being their host.
So now, instead of being Quirkless, Izuku has a villainous Quirk in the form of weaponized blood with a little sidekick to go with it. He also has a better way of handling One For All through the increased strength and healing ability Black Blood gives him if you still want to give him One For All.
Another interesting thing you could do involves the original character being stolen by All For One/Tomura but using the Black Blood now in either's body to kill them from the inside. You could have either removed or destroyed the original character, but they manage to survive by seeping into Izuku's wounds while they hold and beg you to hang on.
Chapter 31: The Sports Hero: Deku
Chapter Text
A Quirkless hero/hero-in-training Izuku Midoriya idea where he has a gimmick with his equipment that relies on being underestimated and the element of surprise.
In this prompt, Midoriya took up a fascination with pre-Quirk era sports and inventing to go with his hobby of studying people's Quirks to cope with his own Quirklessness. Eventually, Midoriya starts developing hero equipment that looks like ordinary sports equipment. Things like baseball-shaped grenades (regular, net, ice, etc.), vibrating fencing saber to enhance cutting and piercing power, a whistle that can work like Present Mic or Jiro's Quirks, strength-enhancing goalie gloves, etc.
Since Izuku is also interested in sports, he might be in better physical condition than canon through practice. Meaning if you still want to give One For All to him, he'll be better prepared for it.
Along with his Class 1-A friends, you could even have Midoriya become friends with the members of the Support Department since he may spend a lot of time in their lab to develop his equipment and trade ideas with the rest of them.
Chapter 32: M(urphy)idoriya Izuku
Chapter Text
A Milo Murphy's Law x My Hero Academia prompt
What if the Midoriyas were distant relatives of the Murphy family and inherited their bad luck and optimistic attitude?
Here, Izuku is the latest inheritor of Murphy's Law, and it becomes his unofficial Quirk that gets him (and his friends) into a lot of trouble. From random objects almost falling on him to getting caught in villain attacks. Because of this, he might be famous in his city and some hero circles due to them always having to help him.
He also develops another nickname besides Danger Magnet by always having a bag full of items and gadgets that help him out of any situation.
It's just a random fun prompt I thought of.
Chapter 33: Find the Heroes' Set
Chapter Text
A My Hero Academia Fantasy AU plot idea centered around the previous One For All wielders in some way.
Basically, the idea is that Izuku and his party in the fantasy au have to find seven artifacts to have a chance of defeating All For One. These artifacts are former equipment from different heroes (aside from Toshinori) who failed to defeat All For One.
The former equipment would be based around the previous users' Quirks.
You have
Ring of Gifting (Yoichi): It gives the user the ability to share status boost effects with others.
Boots of Shifting (Kudo): Boots that enhance the wearer's speed.
Necklace of Inner Strength (Third User): The user becomes stronger the longer they're in battle.
Ring of Instinct (Hikage): Alerts the user of oncoming danger.
Gloves of Darkness (Daigoro): Let the user manipulate shadows
Robe of Smoke(En): Turns the user to smoke or creates a fog to enhance the user's stealth.
Cape of the Sky (Nana): Gives the user the ability to fly.
I just made this if someone wants to broaden their fantasy au.
Chapter 34: Izuku Midoriya vs The Hero World
Chapter Text
Out of excitement for the Scott Pilgrim series, I made this prompt. It's a great mini-series, by the way. I love the turn with it.
What if Izuku Midoriya wasn't the only person who had caught All Might's attention over the years? What if he had eventually given up on the others but those students didn't want to give up on having either the power of One For All or their former mentor?
Basically, a prompt where instead of there being Seven Evil Exes, there are (Insert Number Here) Evil Former Disciples who want either All Might, One For All, or both.
It could be a pretty funny crack idea if you want to add a few big-bad wannabes. You could even make a couple of the former disciples be part of the Meta Liberation Army and League of Villains.
Chapter 35: Elite of the Hero's Academia
Chapter Text
So, this is a bit of a twist on the All For One decendent au ideas.
The H.P.S.C. discovers a descendent of All For One after the massive battle between him and All Might. Worried about the future of Japan after the symbol retires and in need of someone to replace Lady Nagant, they decide to train this child with/instead of Hawks.
For years, the H.P.S.C. has been secretly bringing corrupt or annoying heroes in and having the descendent take their Quirks while training said descendent to wield them to become the perfect weapon. Eventually, the descendent has a chance to escape their control. This could be someone in the H.P.S.C. going behind their back to enroll them in U.A., a high-up hero finding out and stopping it, or possibly Nezu pulling some strings.
Whatever way, the descendent, whether it's Midoriya or not, gets to experience a relatively normal high school life at a hero school. While there, they cause an uproar due to having multiple Quirks and All Might finds out who they may be.
Things they could do is, demonstrate the efficiency of their power in the Sports Festival by stealing the other contestants' Quirks before giving them back, taking Muscular's Quirk during the training camp, or (if Midoriya isn't the descendent) bringing Midoriya back in an intense fight between the new generation of All For One and One For All.
Things could be really interesting if Midoriya isn't the descendent and actually bonds with them. Since the previous wielders and All Might could try and get in the way due to their dislike for All For One and most may not trust the descendent.
Chapter 36: The Cycle Loops
Chapter Text
What if Izuku does have a Quirk but his situation is similar to Yoichi, meaning he couldn't do much with it at the start? What if that Quirk becomes unstable when All Might passes him One For All?
Basically, Midoriya has a Quirk similar to Yoichi's Power Bestowal that's useless without another Quirk, in this case, a stockpile-type Quirk to go with it. The name of that Quirk is Energy Booster. A Quirk that lets Izuku expend energy to strengthen another power.
I got this idea when I remembered my prompt on One For All having more side effects at the start. I thought it would be cool if Izuku had a Quirk that when fused with One For All, would result in an unstable power that's hard to control, like in some stories where Izuku has a natural disaster-related Quirk.
Here, Izuku's Quirk combination causes the power of One For All to subconsciously leak out. Which boosts the Quirks of those around him, especially during stressful situations. If Izuku isn't careful, his Quirk could even boost someone's power to the point it's like the Trigger bombs used by the Humarise.
When/If Izuku unlocks the other One For All wielders' powers, he could even expend some more of One For All's energy to further enhance their effects. Or, he may be able to let others use those Quirks if they're connected to One For All's stockpiled energy.
Chapter 37: Izuku Midoriya, Quirk: Past Investigation
Chapter Text
So, a while back, I realized a perfect Quirk for Midoriya but realized I never actually wrote it down as a prompt.
The Quirk for Izuku is basically retrocognition, or the ability to see events of the past you wouldn't be able to normally see. Such as what criminals are saying at a bank heist you weren't present for.
I thought it would be a Quirk that fits Izuku since he analyzes people. With retrocognition, he can see a person's past battles and look for their habits within a fight. It can also give him a glimpse into a villain's life and maybe help him try to talk them down.
With this Quirk, he'd be an invaluable asset to investigations and strategy meetings if he can use it in a way to see what the villains are plotting from past conversations. Principal Nezu and Aizawa could probably help a lot in training him along with Sir Nighteye.
