Dot was upright in her chair, intently focused on the Rotom Phone in her hands. She was checking the strange new world of a group chat she found herself in, and it was weird from the jump.
Pokemon Masters
Sophocles: So we realized that the culprit behind the people moving in and out of the chat was Rotom in one or all of our phones. That Pokemon is known for being a prankster.
Ash Ketchum: I thought Rotom’s ability was Levitate
BikeInsurance: Are you being serious right now?
Dot: And Rotom did this, and put me in here
Dawn: Who did you even know from here?
Dot: Take a wild guess
Conway: Heh heee
Dawn: Figures
Dot: And he’s friends with ALL of you?
Dawn: Nah he’s freeloading, we’re all friends with Ash
Ash Ketchum: Thanks Dawn but I already knew that
BikeInsurance: You’re stupider than normal today
BrockAndRoll: His girlfriend hasn’t been online in 20 hours.
BikeInsurance: You pay attention to that stuff?
BrockAndRoll: Of course
Dot is interrupted from her journey into the madness when she hears the knock on her door. And that knock often signals a certain member of the ship is outside her door.
“Hey Dot, what’s going on in there?”, asks Liko from outside the door, as Sprigatito already made its way inside the room. Dot, now aware of what’s happening, opens the door to let Liko in, almost subconsciously and before Liko can ask any questions, Dot looks right into Liko’s eyes and almost without thinking, “Don’t open your phone?”
Very confused by the situation, and feeling a bit awkward about the situation, Liko can’t help but silently wonder what she’s talking about, before coming to a conclusion. “Why? It can’t be that bad?” . Dot relents a little, “Well, maybe not bad, but definitely annoying”. Liko sighs and goes, “I’m gonna open it”, causing Dot to face palm as Liko opens her phone, “See, it’s not that b-”. Before Liko can finish the sentence, the notifications hit her phone like a Giga Impact.
Pokemon Masters
Rotom added Roy, Liko, Friede, Murdock, Mollie, Orla, and Ludlow.
BikeInsurance: ????
BrockAndRoll: IS THAT A NURSE JOY????
BikeInsurance: OH MY GOD BROCK, SHUT THE FUCK UP
Clemontical: Well the culprit reveals itself.
RollerBlade: What’s going on?
And suddenly, as if on cue, someone else and their Fuecoco runs into the space, “Hey, why did the Rotom add us to a massive group chat with about one billion people?”, coming from Roy. “This is just one of those days”, sighs Liko almost regrettably.
Orla: Does that say Rotom?
And then, as if on cue, a cluster of activity broke out in the personal group chat.
Rising Volt Tacklers
Mollie: Can someone explain why ALL of us got added to a group chat of complete strangers?
Dot: I was talking to people about the Nemona incident trying to figure out what caused that, turns out it was Rotom, and Rotom has a sense of humor.
Orla: That explains why it says Rotom
Mollie: Hold up, that “Rotom” was literal?
Friede: That sort of behavior is consistent with what Rotom is known to do. I suppose if the worst thing it does is add us to random group chats, then it’s not the end of the world.
Mollie: Well I’m gonna leave that chat, that “BrockAndRoll” character is notorious among our circles
Liko: Huh?
Mollie: He’s a notorious nuisance.
Murdock: So like….what do we do?
Friede: I guess we could do nothing
Orla: But you’ve already typed a message that’s unsent, haven’t you?
Friede: It’s that obvious?
Liko: Why am I not surprised?
Back in Dot’s room, Roy looks up with a glint in his eyes, “What if this random Group Chat is like…a treasure”. Picking up on what’s going on, Dot looks at Roy deadpan and just has to say, “Dude…no”. Followed by a, “Too Late?" from him.

Roy: Would any of you happen to know about treasure of some sorts?
Gohing Insane: Treasure?
Roy: We’re all adventurers, I mean I figure I’d ask.
Ash Ketchum: I’ve gone on lots of adventures
Dawn: But the real treasure was the People and Pokemon I met along the way?
Ash Ketchum: How did you know?
Roy: That is like…so NOT helpful.
Dawn: Well geez man
Dot: The real treasure was friendship is such a played out trope anyway.
ALanaWaves: I mean I’ve fished up some cool stuff before, like @Gohing_Insane
Gohing Insane: That was ONE time
Ludlow: I sense a true disciple of the seas, patient and eager all the same
ALanaWaves: Well geez sir, I just like fishing.
Ludlow: Sometimes what you fish reveals more about you than you yourself will ever know
Mallow: I’m sorry….what does that mean??
Paul: Is this a group chat or a cult?
Zoey: Yes
Paul: That’s not an answer
Ludlow: Every answer is just another question
ALanaWaves: I see
ALanaWaves: You’re very wise
Roy: I’m more confused than I was before
Liko, relenting, finally opened her phone to type but then..
Serena: Then this place is really starting to feel like home for you
“OMG”, Dot’s sudden excitement catches both Liko and Roy off guard, as it’s not like her. “Uh…are you okay Dot?”, asks Liko, the girl wondering what’s going on. Roy also looks up inquisitively, before Dot cools a bit.
“Sorry, sorry”, she says before pulling herself together. “It’s just that Serena person was a big influence on my plan to become a streamer”. Liko gets it, but is still a bit puzzled, and so is Roy. “Huh, how?”, the boy asks. “Pokevision”, she replies matter of factly. This leaves both Roy and Liko with confused looks on their faces, not exactly understanding.
Dot: Woah, it’s actually Serena
Shauna: It sure is
Serena: No no I’m HERE silly Shauna
Dot: Woah
Liko: My friend here says she’s a big fan
Dot: Let ME say that!!.
And Liko gets an earful in the world beyond her phone.
Serena: I love to hear that
Murdock: Anyone inspiring my niece is a friend of mine
Serena: Thanks
Dot: This is embarrassing
Mallow: WOAH!! IT’S CHEF MURDOCK??
Liko: Huh?
Murdock: I’m confused too
Mallow: Hey sorry, I’m an aspiring chef and restaurant enthusiast, I’ve heard quite a few stories about you and your Alcremie
Murdock: I just love to hear that…
And Liko, Roy, and Dot all hear verbal commotion, likely glee and bliss from all the way in the kitchen.
Friede: So, I’m Friede and everyone that mischievous Rotom added is part of an Adventuring crew called the Rising Volt Tacklers.
Orla: All that time typing just for that…
Roy: My, our goal is to challenge and catch Legendary Pokemon
Tobias: Like it’s hard
Liko: Huh?
Dawn: Those who know vs those who don’t
Ludlow: The waves tell me off legendary experience
Lana: Kyogre go brrr
Ludlow: The sea has chosen you as a worthy inheritor
Iris, Chad Dragon Master: What are you even saying
Liko: There’s too many famous people in here….
Ash Ketchum: Famous?
Serena: World Champion
Liko: HUH???
Ash Ketchum: Oh yeah…guess I am famous
Liko: How do you forget something like that??
RollerBlade: That’s Ash for you
Iris, Chad Dragon Master: Don’t let the fame go to your head kid
Ash Ketchum: We’re the SAME AGE
Friede: Quite the eclectic bunch here…
Chloe: Doesn’t take a professor to realize that
Friede: I could say something really funny here
Liko: If people call you Professor Friede do you get mad
Friede: Yes
Chloe: I guess it does take a Professor
Roy: Oh yeah, someone chased us into our personal chat via Rotom, wonder if they’re in here
Serena: I mean I feel like that Rotom is probably done
Rotom added Nemona
Serena: Did I say that….
Nemona: OMG OMG SO MANY STRONG TRAINERS!!!!!
Liko: I’m scared
Lillie: Should we be worried?
Horace: Yes
