Chapter Text

Why was Barnaby so invested into making him lose these 230 grams he had gained?

"Do I need to do this? I already exercised this morning!" Kotetsu yelled at his friend, who was on top of a hill.

"I'll give you a prize!"

"Oh! A prize!" Kotetsu echoed like a child and ran up that hill.

Once he arrived Barnaby suddenly kissed him on the lips.

"Well done, old-man," Barnaby whispered and ran down the hill.

It took Kotetsu a brief moment to react as his cheeks blushed. He shook his head and followed Barnaby, noisily, "Come back! Oi !"

"It was amazing," Charlotte muttered as she appeared down the sheets with disheveled  hair.

With his muscled and strong arms, Yami embraced her to place a kiss on Charlotte's lips.

"I knew I had to take that sex pollen, otherwise I would've never taken the first step with you," Charlotte smiled as Yami cocked an eyebrow.

"Sex Pollen? Do you mean that little bottle over there?" Yami pointed at the table. She nodded. Breaking into laughter, Yami said, "That's not sex pollen! That's just fancy foot powder!"

"What!?" Charlotte hissed before laughing, "Thank you fancy foot powder then!" And they kissed again.

"I can't believe I'm in love with that old-man," Barnaby said with his phone in his ear, as he spoke with Mattia, his friend. It was 3 AM.

"Barnaby, stop, please. I have work to do tomorrow, I'm hanging out –"

"Wait! You made me realize this, now bear with me."

"Dude, it was obvious, you talk about him the whole fucking day. Of course you are in love with him," Mattia sighed. He sounded exhausted.

" Shit . What do I do now? Kotetsu is the king of obliviousness–" Barnaby bit his lower lip thoughtfully, "Should I ask him out on a day? Mattia? Hey, Mattia !"

White, dense fog covered the place as Diego walked through it. Loud sobs caught his attention. The fog swirled.

"I found you," Diego whispered, as he kneeled down to place a hand over the lost soul. He was an old man crying, yearning for his past days.

"Boy. I need to stay here–" the man muttered.

"I'm sorry, but there's nothing for you here, nothing you can keep."

"You're full of light, it's warm and reassuring."

"Come on, old man, it's time to go."

As Diego closed his eyes, the light shone even more. The soul turned into little sparkles and soon, he wasn't there anymore.

Rei stared at Miri as she peacefully slept on her bed before closing the door.

Wheeling around, he found Kazuki looking at him in a way Rei couldn't describe.

They had decided to be a real family from now on, yet Rei was still trying to figure out the depth of those words.

"I made some tea," Kazuki finally said.

As they enjoyed the tea and the reassuring silence while staring at the starry night, Kazuki added, "There's no horizon line, Rei."

With a perplexed gaze Rei flicked his eyes to his friend, a warm hand placed on his own was giving him the answer.

"I don't understand, why would we need a cohabitation contract? Don't you see how reliable and cute I am?" Jael smirked at the girl in front of him. She was puffing out her freaked cheeks again like a squirrel.

Adorable .

"Mr. Wanderer, please sign the contract,"Sophie insisted.

Cocking an eyebrow, Jael whined, "I don't understand this word here–"

"Where?" The girl asked as she approached him closer.

Grinning with mischievous eyes, Jael pointed,"Here," Sophie was now inches from him, the man took that opportunity and kissed her cheek.

"What!?" She flinched, blushing while Jael broke into laughter.

The smell of charred meat invaded his senses. As his eyes reddened from the blinding smoke, his fists clenched trying to hold on to the pain so he'd never, ever forget it.

The world in which Drake was born , they made it burn to ashes. He swore he would do the same with his enemies.

Whipping the tears running down his face, Drake turned around and walked away. 

Heavy steps, with a weight of revenge he was still too young to reach.

However, he had the promise in his lips, carving its words in his soul.

And a Knight's promise is

eternal.

"No like that! Are you listening?" Brenda snarled as Sophie rolled her eyes. They were at a beach, and it was supposed to be fun. Yet Sophie was lecturing her about how to put suntan lotion, "Smoothly!"

"Ok, I'll do it–" Sophie complained as her eyes spotted Tomas approaching. She waved her hand to him and once Tom was by her side, she gave him the suntan lotion and ran away. Tomas remained still, speechless. 

"Why are you–?!" Brenda turned around and halted, his nemesis was smirking.

"May I?" he asked.

Blushing, Brenda snatched the bottle from his hands and yelled before leaving "No way!"

Tomas enjoyed his lunch time alone at the campus. He recently started College and there was cool people in his class yet when it's lunch time.

Breathing in with his eyes closed, Tomas took his lunch box. He was about to open it when suddenly someone placed another lunch box roughly in front of him.

Raising his eyes he found that annoying girl Brenda. She was blushing with her eyes looking away. Tomas frowned.

" Eat . I bought it for you." And without further ado, Brenda walked away.

Tomas opened the box and found a burger in it.

"It's a Wendy's–" he said smiling fondly, "She's weird but– Itadakimasu ."

Coming from Dazai, that could be a joke. Atsushi blinked at first, but then he laughed.

"Come on, Dazai. I asked you why you were so dazed these last days–" Atsushi waved his hand dismissively. 

"I said– ask me if I love you." Dazai lifted the tiger boy's chin up.

Atsushi stopped laughing. "Do you love me?" he asked, stunned.

"I do," Dazai replied. "And thinking about it, it's causing me so much trouble these days–" 

Blushing, Atsushi bowed his head, "I'm sorry, Dazai-san."

Dazai approached Atsushi's flustered face, "If you do, you should take responsibility," he said, placing a soft kiss on his lips.

"What do you want?" Sophie rolled her eyes because Joel was sitting by her side, staring at the book she was reading.

"You are studying anatomy, right ?" Jael blinked.

"Yes, so what ?"

The angel jumped to the side and took off his shirt, showing his perfect chest and abs.

"Study me, then." Jael smiled at her, suggestively.

"If you're not a dog, or a cat, I don't care," she said, drifting her eyes back to the book.

"I'm your personal exiled angel? Does it count?" He moved his eyebrows up and down.

"Bring me more coffee."

"Yes. Sorry." Jael put his shirt back and ran to the kitchen.

"I know Kotetsu-san." Bunny cocked an eyebrow as he watched Kotetsu staring at his gift card. "Don't you like my present?"

Kotetsu blushed slightly. "I love my present. This shirt it's gorgeous." He chuckled as his right hand caressed the new fabric.

"Why the long face then?" 

Waving the gift card Kotetsu said, "There's a drawing of a blooming flower on this card… and I'm an old man ya'know."

"Old men can also bloom." Barnaby smirked and before Kotetsu could react, he placed a kiss on his lips. The old man flinched and blushed even more. " See ? You're blooming now."

"Bunny, it's the fifth time you called me today saying it's the wrong number," Kotetsu said, with the phone on his ear as he tried to make dinner.

"I'm sorry, Kotetsu-san. Something is wrong with my—" He paused awkwardly, " fingers ."

Kotetsu let out a heavy sigh. "Look, Bunny. I like to talk with you, but this is out of–"

"I was trying to call— someone else." Barnaby's voice trailed off. Kotetsu frowned.

"It's ok, buddy. See you tomorrow." Kotetsu was about to hang when he heard Barnaby desperately rushing…

"Oh–! I LOVE YOU, BY THE WAY!"

Blushing, Kotetsu opened his eyes widely. "He said what ?"

"Dazai-san! We have a meeting!" Atsushi waved his hand on the seashore.

Osamu was jumping on the waves.

"Just a little more, Atsushi-kun!"

"Be careful, Dazai-san!" Atsushi yelled before a huge wave swallowed Dazai.

After a brief moment, a soggy Osamu approached him.

"A-are you okay, Dazai-san?" 

Osamu stared at him with a hint of mischief in his eyes. "I love the salty taste of the sea. Can I share it?" Dazai said and kissed him.

"Isn't it salty, Atsushi-kun?" Dazai asked, with cunning eyes. "Let's go!"

Atsushi followed him with blushed cheeks. He also liked the taste of salt after all.

Once more, Diego fidgets his finger in the air, as if he wants to brush something in it.

"What are you seeing now?" Luka asks, lifting his eyes to that place where there's nothing.

"I released him." A simple reply, as always.

Diego can see ghosts. 

"Is he free now?" Luka tilts his head, he's the only kid in the orphanage that doesn't laugh at Diego.

"Yes."

"How can you be sure of that?"

"Luka, the other side is so vast… but to me, it's like molecules. I can taste them and touch them. That's how I know.

"Why the mask again?" Barnaby asks as he sees Kotetsu approaching him. "Everyone knows Wild Tiger is Kotetsu Kaburagi." They were waiting in the backstage of a tv show.

The way Kotetsu's frown appears it's delightful. "Leave this old man alone. I forget sometimes."

Cute. Should I tease him?

"That's right, doctors call that dementia ."

A loud groan comes from Kotetsu, as he glares at him. Barnaby smirks. Kotetsu is about to retort at him but Barnaby presses a kiss on Kotetsu's lips.

"I think it's sexy. You can leave it for the show, and later for me too." Barnaby chuckles as Kotetsu blushes furiously.

"Fool me once–" Twilight's voice cracks as he sees Yor in front of him, face and arms with blood that it's not hers. 

Why does she have to be– my enemy?

"I'm sorry–" she mutters and the dagger falls down from her hands. There's tears in her beautiful eyes and Twilight only wants to hug her.

"I don't care." He approaches her and cups her bloody cheeks. Their eyes meet. "I really don't care."

Twilight kisses her and she wraps her arms around him. 

If Yor is fooling him a second time, he doesn't care at all. Because Twilight loves her deeply.

Kotetsu dies in Barnaby's arms. Pale lips, eyes closing; the pain is unbearable. Barnaby shouts, as he pulls his best friend’s body against his chest. The love of his life.

Suddenly, he’s in Kotetsu's house. It seems he fell asleep on the couch. Kotetsu is standing in front of him, with round eyes.

“A nightmare?” Kotetsu asks and Barnaby stands up and stares at him.

He's alive.

“Hug me.” Barnaby asks and Kotetsu is surprised at first but then he hugs him. Tight and warm. 

“You're such a spoiled Bunny, aren't you?” Kotetsu whispers and Barnaby pulls him closer.

“Yes, I am.”

Haru’s eyes drift to Makoto. They are together again, just the two of them, swimming side to side, freely in the pool. The moonlight outlines Makoto’s figure under the water. The intimacy is such that Haruka's heart can't stop pounding.

They do this from time to time, now that they're adults, real life doesn't give them these moments so often.

So Haru enjoys Makoto's smile, Makoto's graceful movements, Makoto's beautiful eyes on him.

Perfect . Haruka smiles and Makoto curves his lips up to him. The world can end right there, and he wouldn't care. Because he's happy.

Barnaby watches as the old man cooks the fried rice. Kotetsu hums a song that fills Barnaby's heart with nostalgia. 

Barnaby closes his eyes and he smiles before standing up and approaches Kotetsu slowly and then he hugs him from behind and the old man flinches and halts.

“Bunny, wh-what are you doing?”

“A hug, for the old times,” Barnaby says and tightens his grip around the old man’s firm abs.

“But– we never–”

“Shh,” Barnaby rests his head on Kotetsu's,”let me create this kind of memories from now on.”

This time it felt different. Keith inviting him to watch a movie at his house felt definitely different.

It wasn't just because Keith had been fooling around more than ever the last few days, but because Mike was feeling weird everytime they were together.

So when Keith opened the door and smiled at him, his heart gave a turn. 

“Please, come in,” Keith said and Mike hesitated for a brief moment. But then Keith widened his smile and everything felt right.

That night they ate dinner and laughed. They also watched the movie, but Mike couldn't recall which one was, because they held hands and kissed too many times.

“It's a long distance relationship,” Barnaby says. Why is he sulking? The old man is staring at him.

“Bunny-chan, we live in the same city.” Kotetsu huffs and gives an ice cream to Barnaby.

They like to walk in the park after their shifts end.

“We don't work together anymore.” Barnaby licks his ice cream. He feels an arm around his shoulders, Barnaby’s heart skips a beat.

“Is Bunny asking me for more time together?” Kotetsu asks, deep voice, sparkling eyes. Barnaby blushes even more. “I suppose I’ll have to give him what he wants.”

Kotetsu's smile is seductive, for the first time. Barnaby leans towards him and nods.

“I would love that, Kotetsu-san.”

Haruka didn't know why he offered that day to massage Makoto's back. 

The situation ran from normal to awkward once Haruka put his hands on Makoto's perfect, muscled back. 

“Is something wrong?” Makoto asked. Haruka felt so guilty for being drooling about his friend.

“Everything is ok.” Haruka's voice trembled. 

Makoto laughed and turned around to face him. “You're so cute. Don't be nervous” he said, taking Haruka's hand and kissing it as his mischievous eyes flicked to him. “We can talk about this after the massage.” Makoto smiled and Haruka flushed.

“Of course, we’ll talk about this later,” Haruka said, heart beating fast as he resumed the massage.

Castiel's existence felt as ephemeral as a butterfly’s life. Even when he had a million springtimes, he was gone in a second.

Dean’s hands reached the darkness as his heart stopped; then it started to live again, beat by beat as if he was dying slowly.

“You said you love me,” Dean muttered, closing his eyes, crying rivers of pain and despair. 

Maybe in another life Dean would meet him again. Maybe in another life Dean would hug Castiel tightly. Maybe in another life Dean would be able to say, “I love you too, Cas.”

The Witcher stopped and pressed his ear against  it. “It's not that big!” the bard exclaimed and Geralt slammed the door open and glared at Jaskier. But his mood of serial killer vanished at the sight of a sword shop and the old seller.

“Great! Now my surprise gift is ruined!” Jaskier said as he crossed his arms dramatically.

His realization had come late to confess to Vanitas.

It was like a sickness without a cure, Vanitas said once. Noé understood it just now.

The tightness in Noé’s chest and the pound of his heart so erratically fast; it was love.

Noé rested his head on the pillow and a tear rolled down his cheek. “Love,” he whispered. “Should I let him go?”

“You shouldn't,” Vanitas appeared on top of him. “Don't let me go,” he said before kissing his lips. “This is love.”

Noé hugged him tightly. “Of course it is.”

Barnaby thought his first date with Kotetsu would be perfect; however, it couldn't be more disastrous.

Kotetsu had been rescuing people and giving advice to strangers. It seemed he wasn't aware about them having a date. Barnaby sighed defeated as Kotetsu approached him.

“What's going on, Bunny? Aren't you having fun?” Kotetsu asked and Barnaby darted his eyes to him.

“I don't know.”

Suddenly, Kotetsu took his hand all of the sudden and Barnaby blushed.

“Come on, this is our first date, right? Let's take a walk.” Kotetsu kissed Barnaby's hand and smiled at him sweetly. 

With a shy nod, Barnaby followed him, giggling.

The guilt was real and painful in Vanitas’ chest as he recalled he tried to kill Noé. He didn't know why Noé was still by his side. 

After Vanitas finished cooking the souffles and tarts for Noé, his eyes flicked to the clock.

“You're late,” he muttered.

“Am I?” Noé surprised him; he was standing behind him, grinning. Vanitas couldn't react at all, and Noé just planted a kiss on the top of his nose, making him blush.

Noé sat at the table and rubbed his hands together. 

“Thank you! Itadakimasu!” 

As his heart bumped strong in his chest, Vanitas smiled. Maybe he knew why they were still together.

His entire world, known as unshakeable, was now turning into pieces. 

“Conquering the universe means nothing now that you're not here–” Reinhard whispered, his forehead pressed on the cold glass surrounding his lifeless friend’s body. “Is it too late?” A tear ran down his cheek as he clasped his chest with his hand. “Is it too late to say I love you, my dear Kircheis? The love of my life–”

It's not just because Vanitas has that stunning looks, or the scent of his blood, unique and exquisite. It's because he's Vanitas, Noé’s constant idea that plays with his head and emotions.

“Vanitas. I think I love you,” Noé says as both of them lay together on the couch. 

Vanitas chuckles. “What did I say to you? I hate people that love me.” His cold hand caresses Noé's cheek, causing him to flush.

Of course, Vanitas always says that. So–

“Then, I love to hate you.” Noé kisses his hand and Vanitas flinches.

With a soft smile, Vanitas replies, “I love to hate you too.”

“Maybe I should bring some sweets, I don't know what priests eat anyway,” Diego says and chuckles. Luka glares at him because it's two in the morning.

“You already know it's just us. Everyone else is asleep.” Luka sighs; they're walking through the corridor.

“It's cold again, I told you. Your abbey is haunted.” Diego stops with His eyes focused in the ceiling. 

“So?” Luka asks, shaking the lantern slightly. 

“The bossy character doesn't go with you.” Diego turns around with a smug smile. “Done.”

“ Done ?” 

“Of course.” Diego walks away. “I’ll bring sweets next time.”

“Just let me sleep,” Luka mumbles and follows him out.

“Kotetsu-san, what are you doing?” Barnaby asked after seeing him with a hat, a rabbit and some colored handkerchiefs. The place was a mess.

“Kaede is going to bring her friends, and I can't make this little rabbit obey me.” He glared at Barnaby. “He reminds me of someone.”

Barnaby chuckled. “Really, Kotetsu-san. I think it’s nice you're trying to impress your daughter, but she's too old for circus’ things.”

“But–” Kotetsu halted because Barnaby kissed him softly.

“You’re a clown. And I’m cuter than that Bunny.”

Smiling broadly, Kotetsu pulled him closer, “Of course you are.”

“But I'm not helping you with work.” Luka confessed. Diego broke into laughter. “Don't laugh.”

“I'm sorry,” Diego said, wiping the tears in his eyes. “You exorcise demons and I guide souls. I think we're a great team.”

“You do?” Luka asked, hopeful.

“Of course, you don't have to be a storm.”

“Phew, that's good. Because I don't like storms.” Luka smiled, relieved.

Kim Dokja snorted and glanced at the protagonist with a warning finger raised. “Because you're kind of my hero, you know? And it's a well meaning lie.”

Scoffing as his arms crossed over his muscled chest, Joonghyuk said, “So you want to be me?”

A narcissist, of course. “Nope. I just like you a lot.” As he enjoyed the furious blush on Joonghyuk's cheeks and his flustered eyes, Dokja turned around and walked away, trying to stifle a laugh.

“It hits me now, Kotetsu-san,” Barnaby says and pauses. His eyes meet Kotetsu's and immediately drop to his lips. Barnaby swallows.

“What's up, Bunny?” Kotetsu chuckles and looks away, he seems flustered, maybe he already knows.

“After you left Apollon, I realized how much I–” Kotetsu cover's Barnaby's mouth with his hands and stares at him.

“Not yet, this old man isn't ready,” Kotetsu says and heartbeats flows soundly, ivading the silence.

Then, Kotetsu kisses his own hand blocking Barnaby's lips. 

Maybe they don't need to say it today, maybe tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow.

Barnaby nods and Kotetsu smiles at him. Of course, it can wait.

“Dean, I made a decision,” Cas said as he stepped inside Dean's room with that squinting eyes of his.

“Alright?” Dean frowned. “Spit it out.” Cas’ squint was even deeper so Dean rolled his eyes and added, “just say it.”

Cas nodded and without any preamble, he kissed Dean on the lips. “I decided I would do the opposite today.” Dean was blinking in aw. “I see it was confusing for you. It means I want to kiss you everyday but I always hold back.”

“Oh,” Dean smiled. “Then, let's do the opposite everyday from now on.” He said and kissed his angel once more.

Diego flicked his emotionless eyes to me, I was dumbfounded. The dog kept growling at the empty spot in the living room. 
 
 “He sees it too,” Diego said and pushed me towards there.
 
“What?” I asked, and the dog started to whine before hiding behind the couch.

 “If you can't see it, then feel it.” Diego took a couple of steps away from me and crossed his arms. I was standing in the empty spot, and it was cold. Very cold. I was getting goosebumps as electricity ran on my spine so I jumped out from there.

 “I get it.” I said, and Diego chuckled.

Luka jarred, eyes closed and curled as a shrimp. He was trembling in his bed, it was midnight and it was dark and cold.

¡Bump!

Wincing, Luka cried and tried to bury himself in the mattress. "Please, go away, don't hurt me," he whispered.

"It won't," a familiar voice said: it was Diego, who slowly got inside Luka's bed and laid by his side.

"Diego." Luka stopped shaking. He was safe now.

"I commanded it to leave." Diego held his hand and closed his eyes with a yawn. "Sleep."

Smiling, Luka fell asleep in a blink.

Insufferable. Kotetsu was the most meddling, annoying old man Barnaby had known. He let out a sigh while Kotetsu walked by his side, back to their office.

“What's going on? Why is Bunny in such a mood?” Kotetsu asked with a mischievous sparkle in his brown, big eyes.

“I'm not Bunny, I'm Barnaby.”

“Bunny, Bunny, Bunny, Bunny!” Kotetsu placed himself in front of him.

“Stop,” said Barnaby, but Kotetsu continued.

“Bunny-chaaaan!”

So Barnaby had to do it. He pulled Kotetsu closer and kissed him on the lips.

“I said, stop,” Barnaby said, and he smirked; Kotetsu was blushing with the cutest expression he could make.

“This is not the place where it started,” I said, glancing at Diego, who was staring at the sea, thoughtfully. 

“Nope.” He kneeled down and brushed the sand with his fingers. “It's where it ended.” Diego stood up and smiled at me. The mystery in his words filled me with uneasiness. 

“So, is she a ghost now?” I asked, and I really wanted to hide the sadness in my voice. I failed, because Diego put a hand on my shoulder. He was, once more, comforting me in my weakness. 

“She's grateful,” Diego said and raised his right hand; a slight glitter surrounded his fingers. “She can rest now.”

Everytime Haruka was close to Makoto, that fruity perfume surrounded him. It felt familiar, warm and delicious.

Haru closed his eyes and let his head rest on Makoto's broad shoulder. They had just come out from the poll. 

He sniffed, close to Makoto's skin and without thinking twice, he licked him.

“Haru!” Makoto squirmed, he blushed exquisitely. 

“You smell good.” Haru looked at him and Makoto flushed even more. Maybe it was time to change things between them. “I love your perfume.” Haru kissed his bare shoulder causing Makoto to shiver.

“Haru, you're being bold.” Makoto pulled him closer for a sudden and clumsy kiss. Haru smiled.

“It's freezing,” Luka said, his nose reddened as his eyes filled with tears like pearls.

Handsome men always look good in any situation. I rolled my eyes.

“If you are going to stick around me, you better get used to it,” I snapped.

“There are ghosts here, right?” he asked.

“Yep. A closed hospice has a lot of them. Do you wanna see them?”

Luka nodded and a small lock of golden hair fell on his forehead, it made me smile, I don't know why.

“Fine.” I put a hand on his shoulder, the cold intensified as Luka's eyes opened widely. “Do you see them?”

“Yes,” he mused, “I see them now.”

“I won't be by your side, but I'll always be on your side,” Kotetsu said, and Barnaby couldn't stop his tears. 

“Kotetsu-san,” Barnaby muttered. Kotetsu was smiling beautifully with unshed tears shining like pearls in his eyes. 

Cupping his face, Kotetsu pulled him closer; the tips of their noses were rubbing. The old man was staring thirstily at his lips. 

“We won't be partners anymore, but we could be more—” Kotetsu whispered, and Barnaby couldn't hold his feelings anymore; he closed the gap between their lips and kissed him softly. 

It was their last dance, but their first kiss was making a new horizon for both of them.

“How did you get this number?” Barnaby asked as he took the paper coffee cup in his hand. The old man remained silent and then laughed, clearly embarrassed.

“What do you mean?” he asked, reclaiming his coffee. Barnaby squinted, but the old man avoided his gaze.

Yes, I’m jealous, Barnaby thought, crossing his arms and looking away. He really tried to control his bad mood.

“You know, Bunny. You’re the only one,” Kotetsu muttered, his eyes drifting to Barnaby.

“What?” Barnaby replied, his face flushed. Yet Kotetsu didn’t speak; he simply placed a kiss on Barnaby’s lips. And that was better than any answer.

I know I shouldn't feel like this, but it's like heat, a weight on my back, and it's burning.

I shut my eyes, and I fake it—I fake the me that shows everything is okay like this: with you and me sharing our breakfasts, our afternoons, and nights. I'm fine, really.

I can keep faking it. I can be just a friend, your best friend. I can laugh and nod, and steal a glance at you when you're not looking. I can pretend I don't want to kiss you when you smile at me. I'm fine, I promise. I'll be fine.

Another night at the club. The lights lit up over him. He places his hands on the piano, closes his eyes and sings. 

People listen attentively. Some women smile seductively, faces glittering under the dim red lights. They want him, but just his voice and body. Ramiro knows it, yet he just wants to sing, to let it out, to feel free. 

Ramiro left his heart behind, he doesn't remember where or when. 

His fingers end the song on the piano. It hurts, it heals. It feels like fire under his eyelids. The claps burst out and it's over. Everything comes to its end, everything has an end.

Barnaby loved the colors of autumn. Walking through the park with Kotetsu made it even better. They stopped on a bench, and Barnaby saw a leaf on Kotetsu's head. The old man kept talking, completely oblivious.

Barnaby slowly reached out to take it off. Kotetsu froze for a moment, and then he leaned in and gave Barnaby a quick peck on the lips. The old man pulled back flustered with his cheeks flushed."I'm sorry!" he said. "I thought you wanted to kiss me."

"Yes," Barnaby replied, shaking his head and chuckling. "Come here, old man," he said before kissing him again.

He was incredibly attractive. 

Kotetsu, cooking his one and only specialty: fried rice, was looking exceptionally appealing. 

Barnaby just noticed it now. The older man had perfect rhythm in his muscular arms as he moved gracefully with that darn pan in his right hand. 

And he was singing. Good heavens, his deep, alluring voice was causing Barnaby to practically drool over the... 

"Bunny? Are those carrot slices ready?" Kotetsu asked, his eyes focused on the pan. 

Barnaby flinched slightly and resumed slicing again. "In a minute," he mumbled, his cheeks flushed as he heard Kotetsu chuckling.

Why does Dean Winchester enjoy listening to old songs so much? Castiel doesn't know. He just stares at him while his lips move, forming romantic lyrics as their eyes meet. The angel reaches out his hand to hold Dean's warm fingers. Dean is now singing with a broad smile, and his freckles shine like constellations.

Maybe Castiel does know why: those old songs make Dean's face beam, and the universe seems to pause just to hear him sing. Castiel then tries to sing along, and Dean laughs, so sound and beautifully.

"You ruined it, Cas, but it's okay, because I love you," Dean says and kisses him softly.

Kotetsu brought champagne and poured some in Barnaby's glass. The old man was beaming, a broad smile curving his lips as he winked at him with mischief. “Oh, the night is perfect!” he said, drifting his eyes to the moon in the sky.

“Yes, it is,” Burnaby replied, quietly. Yet he wasn’t talking about the eclipse they were about to see.

“Uh? I'm not the moon.” The old man turned his face to him, and they were so close, Barnaby could breathe in Kotetsu's scent. 

“You are that and more to me.” Barnaby said and kissed him.

When Vanitas glanced at Noé that morning, he realized they were living together for a month now, and they looked like a married couple.

But, instead of being disgusted by that idea, he felt warm.

Weird, he thought as he looked back at his breakfast.

“Are you feeling sick? Your face is red.” Noé placed a hand on his forehead and Vanitas froze. “You’re redder now.” He chuckled.

“I'm not! Stop acting like my…”

“Husband?” Noé said, and there was a glimpse of mischief in his eyes. “I wouldn't mind,” he added before drinking his juice.

“Baka,” Vanitas whispered and smiled.

That angel said we had a bond.

Luka stared at me, and his cheeks flushed. Why was he making it even weirder? His eyes drifted away, and I rolled mine. 

“Don't mind what the angel said,” I muttered. I didn't want him all awkward around me.

“Oh, no. Don't misunderstand me,” he said and his eyes were staring at me again, flashing with determination. “It makes me even happier.” Luka smiled and held my hand down the table.

I felt my face hot, maybe because they were heating in that cafeteria.

“Ok,” I muttered and flicked my gaze away.

Corny puppy, that's what he is.
