Chapter Text
“D.T.”
It was like the voice was calling out to him.
“Come on— fuck…”
Now the voice was…? Seductive? Sexy? Alluring?
Kidd was semi aware it was dream and he knew it was Black☆Star’s voice, but there was nothing but darkness.
“F-Fuck you’re doing so good.”
Kidd found himself squirming in his bed, but he just couldn’t wake up.
“Baby, always so good for me. Shit—!”
Then the darkness was gone now replaced by images of Black☆Star throwing his head back, holding D.T.’s head down, and oh god—
Kidd knew he was dreaming now but he couldn’t get out, he couldn’t wake up. He was burning up from embarrassment. He wanted to say something, but he couldn’t. He couldn’t because his mouth was preoccupied.
D.T woke up sweaty and out of breath. His chest went up and down trying and failing to get his breathing regulated. He couldn’t believe he just had a wet dream about Black☆Star. He was mortified to realize a disgusting feeling of dampness in his groin.
“Fuck me,” Kidd cursed as he flopped back down on his bed in despair.
“Gladly.” He heard Black☆Star’s voice reply slyly. D.T. shot up and looked around the room quickly. He sighed frustratingly while he grabbed his phone and cursed to himself once more. It was 5:30am and if he was going to make it to school with dry hair he’d have to hurry.
He reluctantly got up, still disgusted with himself and made his way to his personal bathroom. Kidd found himself thanking the interior designers who made his house.
He was taking this to his grave no one would pry this out of him.
_______
“Wow Dee you look like shit!” Liz announced before she brought him into a hug. He accepted his fate and stood there while Patty and Liz told him how much they missed him. He smiled non the less but it was short lived when he made eye contact with a certain blue haired man who was hurriedly making his way over to the trio. Kidd managed to pull himself away from the death grip of Liz and bolted to his first hour class.
“What’d you do?” Liz asked Black☆Star as he stood there disappointedly. “Maybe he’s upset I teased him last night? He did hang up on me,” Black☆Star thought for a while until the five minute warning bell rang and the three of them headed their separate ways. Kidd by now was in his designated spot and he was heaving. His face was an embarrassing shade of red and he needed to calm his thoughts down. D.T. couldn’t stop thinking about the dream he had and he felt so ashamed.
He hasn’t even admitted he likes Black☆Star and here his is shamelessly lusting over him! He put his head down when Maka took her seat next to him and questioned if he was feeling alright. Rather than responding he wanted to ask him own question. He needed a solution to his problems and he thought Maka might have them. “Have you ever had a wet dream?” D.T. asked quietly but with no shame as if it was a completely normal thing to ask at seven thirty in the morning. Maka flushed before punching him in the shoulder. “Oh my god! If you weren’t gay I’d rock your shit right now,” Maka declared Kidd smiled at her threat but was still eager for her answer.
”Y-Yes I have.”
”Was it of Soul?”
She glared but it held no malice and answered, “Y-Yes…”
“But we were already dating so I’m not a pervert!” If it were any other day D.T. would find it quite amusing that Maka just whispered yelled the word ‘pervert’ but she just implied he was one.
“I’m doomed. I’m ending my life today,” Kidd said, defeated. Maka’s pervious embarrassment was now forgotten as she started to drill Kidd for answers instead.
“Why’d you ask?”
“No. Die.”
”Nope nu uh. You’re going to answer me.”
“Now, why’d you ask?”
“I had my own.”
”Mhm.”
“You’re only human. Who was it of?”
“Yup. I’m hanging myself today.”
“D.T.! Just answer me and I can help with your problems.”
”How’d you know I had problems?” Kidd asked, finally raising his head from where it laid on his desk. “It’s obvious something is bothering you, the declarations of dying, your eyes bags from lack of sleep, and finally you asked me the singular weirdest question I’ve ever heard in my life. You don’t ask me questions like that D.T.,” Maka explained easily. Kidd felt despair once more. Had he really looked that miserable?
“Who was it of?” Maka asked again this time slower she wasn’t going to force it out of the boy if he didn’t want to.
“Black☆Star…” Kidd mumbled shamefully. So much for taking it to the grave.
“Oh, okay…?” Maka now seemed disinterested, well not disinterested more like unimpressed.
“‘Okay?’ What about that is okay?!” Kidd wore a guilty facial expression as if he committed a terrible crime. Maka gave him an expression of boredom in return, “So you had a wet dream about a guy who likes you and you like him back?” D.T. Would have worded it differently, but she was correct in a sense.
“I haven’t even told him my feelings, isn’t that shameful? I’m over here having lustful thoughts over a boy I haven’t even confessed to! I’m trash,” Kidd whimpered pitifully, placing his head back on top of his desk.
“Oh please you probably aren’t the only one with those thoughts. I’m almost positive Black☆Star has had those same thoughts if not worse. Most likely worse,” Maka thought about something in the back of her mind while she added that last bit. The bell rang as it signaled that class was over and to head to second period. Kidd had not believed he had spent the entirety of his first hour class talking to Maka about wet dreams. God he hated himself right now.
__________
”Look he’s over there. Just go over and ask to talk. I’m sure it’s nothing serious,” Soul used his fork to point at the boy of Black☆Star’s concerns. It was now lunch and for the entire day Kidd had been obviously ignoring Black☆Star. Whether it was him leaving his texts on delivered or practically running in the other direction when Black☆Star sought him out. “What is going on?” Tsubaki asked placing her tray down with Maka following suit. “Black☆Star’s future boyfriend is ignoring him for whatever reason,” Soul answered, poking at his dry salad with boredom. Maka snickered at that. Black☆Star rose his eyebrow at her odd behavior before questioning her.
“Oh it’s nothing,” She lied as she continued to laugh as she remembered her conversation with the black haired boy. “He’ll come around. He’s just embarrassed.”
Black☆Star got an answer but it wasn’t one that helped. He was just as confused as he was at the start of lunch. He took note of the time and decided to put his plan into motion despite Soul’s wise words of disagreement. He left the cafeteria and silently watched Kidd from an empty hallway he knew Kidd had to walk down in order to get to his next class.
The bell signaling second lunch was over caused numerous students to hurry up from their seats and onto their next classes. One of those students was D.T.. Black☆Star watched him just as a predator watches its prey. He waited for the right moment and just as Kidd made the smallest mistake of dropping his pencil, causing him to fall behind his usual group, Black☆Star went straight for him.
Much to D.T.’s surprise he was met face to face with the boy he had been purposely avoiding since the morning. He opened his mouth to say something, but his body moved on its own and aimed to escape the situation he found himself in. With the smallest movement of D.T.’s leg Black☆Star prevented any and all escape by forcing him against a wall and pinning his forearm just above Kidd’s head. “Why have you been ignoring me?” Black☆Star wasn’t mad. He really wasn’t, he was just frustrated, but he doubted that his face conveyed that as he saw Kidd look up at him with the guiltiest expression he’s ever seen. Now Black☆Star felt bad for startling the poor boy, but he needed a clear answer.
Thousands of explanations ran through Kidd’s head, but none of them were being voiced out. It was due to Kidd being extremely distracted. He looked at Black☆Star’s features shamelessly and his body had an equally shamelessly reaction. Black☆Star looked pissed, had him pinned to a wall, and absolutely no one was around. He found Black☆Star extremely attractive during this moment and his body reacted in an equally shameful way.
Kidd found himself standing uncomfortably and eventually let himself fall to the ground. “Are you okay?!” Black☆Star asked worriedly. He hadn’t meant to cause Kidd any harm. “Y-Yes! I’m fine. The floor is so nice you know? So unsymmetrically nice,” Kidd wanted to gag looking at the unsymmetrical garbage that was supposed to be the floor and forced himself to look away and meet Black☆Star’s eyes that were full of worry. “Then why have you been avoiding me?” Black☆Star asked the question with a pout and Kidd felt a familiar pang in his heart. “It’s not anything to do with you. Seriously you did nothing wrong,” Kidd tried to explain now refocusing on the floor despite his distaste for it. “So you don’t hate me?” Black☆Star asked hopefully. He looked like a sad puppy, Kidd would laugh if not for his current predicament. “No, of course not,” He reassured easily and Black☆Star brightened up quickly. Again Kidd would make a joke about his appearance resembling a puppy had it not been for his disastrous situation.
“Here let me help you,” Black☆Star offered, his hand outstretched to assist D.T. “I’ll just stay on the floor,” Kidd refused to look up. He was too ashamed of himself to meet Black☆Star’s eyes. Black☆Star had a disappointed pout on his face, but let his hand fall away and told Kidd to answer his texts before heading to his own class. D.T. let out a sigh of relief, but it was short lived as the final bell for passing classes went throughout the school meaning he was official late for class.
So much for perfect attendance.
__________
”D.T. start talking to you again?” Soul asked while he threw his practice jersey over his head. It was the end of the day by now and it was time for the boy’s basketball practice. “Yeah! Although he was acting super weird,” Black☆Star typed away quickly at one last text before shoving it away in his bag and changing his shoes.
“Hurry your bum asses out here! We’ve got a lot to go over for senior night!” Coach Sid yelled from right outside the locker room. All the boys minus the seniors groaned. The underclassmen found out about the senior’s decision and they all couldn’t wrap their heads around ‘why?’
“Oh shut it. We’ll crush them easily. Right Kilik?” Justin declared while wrapping his arm around Kilik’s shoulders. “Mhm. Totally. For sure,” Kilik replied through bared teeth. One more warning was yelled by Coach Sid before the team headed out.
___________
The practice was difficult and draining, but nonetheless the team definitely had a solid strategy to win their senior night. The practice was over Black☆Star was headed out of the main doors instead of the ones that lead straight to the parking lot since he forgot his helmet in his locker. On his way there he caught sight of D.T.’s back, he must have been held up doing student council things, so Black☆Star called out to him. Kidd turned around and stormed up to him. Black☆Star was confused, but happy that Kidd was walking over to him. “D.T.—!”
“What the fuck are you thinking Black☆Star?” D.T. asked aggressively, angrily.
Black☆Star wore a face of confusion. But again an angry D.T. is better than a D.T. ignoring him, right…? “Don’t look confused! You chose Chase’s school on purpose! He’s not even in our fucking conference!” Oh. That’s what this was about? Black☆Star’s confused, but happy face hardened into a scowl. “Okay yeah I did, so what?” He told truthfully. He wasn’t afraid to admit it. “Oh my god! I cannot believe you! I told you—“ Kidd was stopped by Black☆Star grabbing his flaring wrists. “D.T.” Kidd swallowed nervously at the sudden change in Black☆Star’s demeanor. “Let me have this. Let me crush him on the court. Let me do this for you,” Black☆Star was practically begging for his approval. He didn’t need it but he wanted it. Kidd hated how the breath was taken from his lungs. Black☆Star held his wrist oh so gently while he begged D.T. to let him play against Chase for him. He wanted to slap Black☆Star for being such an idiot but he wanted to kiss him too.
He pulled his wrist away before heading down the opposite hallway silently. Black☆Star stared at his back in disarray before the tall body stopped mid walk. “You better win,” Kidd demanded without looking back and that’s all Black☆Star needed before shouting at him happily, his loud voice echoing through the empty hallways,
“For you? Of course I will!”
