Chapter Text
Falken, Darling!
I was delighted to hear of your success guiding our young star through his moment of self-discovery, truly a Godssend for the boy to let him know he’s loved and supported.
However, in hearing that the trip was going ahead, I must address what I feel is an overlooked possibility from the Union Leadership meetings, especially given the nature of the trip the boys are going on, and truly, the nature of young men that age in similar circumstances.
I have organised for a well-appointed men’s sexual health care-package to be delivered to your office. No doubt the boys would be mortified in accepting it from official channels, so I’m trusting you to manage its delivery in whatever method you feel appropriate, discreet or explicit, should you have an indication that the boys’ attempts at courting each other have proven successful.
Just because they’re Espers doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be vigilant with their health!
Toodles~
Clara
The afternoon was warm and comfortable in Falken’s office. Golden light streamed through his windows, illuminating the courtyard below his window in incandescent tones.
Falken was speaking spiritedly to the ghostly blue image of Tang Xuan, projected into a chair across from him.
“…and the Onsen, Gods I’ve never felt so relaxed in my life, it’s like all my muscles just went soggy.”
“I’m sure the journalist you were meant to talk to will be understanding”.
“ah, as far as they know we were swept up in an emergency Miramon drill.”
Half of Li Ling’s shirtless frame intruded over the hologram as he interjected:
“What they don’t know won’t hurt them.”
Falken laughed at the boy’s newfound cheek. It suited him. Indeed, he had regained a bouncy energy that Falken had only heard of before their interactions.
“And uhhh. Gods this is awkward, but… Thanks for the package.” Tang Xuan continued. Falken could tell he had gone scarlet, even through the hologram.
“Neither of us really knew what to…but it was a giant help, we figured it out.”
“Thank Clara” Falken replied. “She was the only one who predicted you would have been so successful”.
“Clara?!” Tang Xuan sank into the chair in raw embarrassment. “Does the whole of Union Leadership know?? Does Raven know??”
Falken chuckled. “Don’t worry, I’ve only told her what she absolutely needs to know.”
Tang Xuan buried his face in his hands. Falken could hear Li Ling cackling in the background.
“Well, you’ll be able to air your disagreement with me in person when you’re back. And do let me know what time you get in; I think I owe you two lunch.”
Tang Xuan beamed through his embarrassment, offered a hasty goodbye and terminated the call just as a cut-off portion of Li Ling pounced on him.
Falken smiled to himself, heart overflowing for the two boys. He stood up, grabbing a pair of small binoculars from his desk and looked out into the courtyard. His communicator buzzed with a notification, but he ignored it. It could wait, he had something important to check on.
Sure enough, he was able to train on two tiny figures on a branch in the courtyard. Two fairywrens, perched so close to each other that their Blue and Mottled blue, grey and brown feathers flattened each other where they connected. Falken watched as they sat and preened, perfectly content that the other was there.
