Summary
~By the time Arthur and Gwain return with the assassin, hands tied tightly behind his back, the bleeding has stopped and the boy appears to be in less pain. His wound is still a long way from being healed, but it’s no longer life threatening. Merlin, on the other hand, is barely conscious as he starts to mutter another spell. His eyes roll back for a moment before he flinches, blinks, and picks up where he left off.
“Merlin,” Arthur gently calls, concern dowsing his voice. “Merlin, stop.”
He hadn't noticed the tears until the sorcerer looked up at him, gold hesitantly giving way to blue. “You told me to fix him,” he whimpers. “I can't let him die. You know I can’t.”~Someone tried to assassinate Mordred.
