Musa knew Nabu wasn’t exactly what one would call musically gifted. His talents clearly lay elsewhere—magic, sorcery, and apparently, an uncanny knack for tinkering with things like enchanted vehicles.
Still, he seemed proud of himself when he explained, “Some sorcerers channel their magic through music. Their instruments act like a staff, focusing their power.”
Musa raised an eyebrow. “Really? Like… a wand but with a lute?”
Nabu chuckled softly. “Not quite that sophisticated. Mostly traditional instruments from Andros—flutes, drums, things of that nature. They amplify magical energy rather than produce harmony for entertainment.”
Musa couldn’t help but giggle. “So let me get this straight… a sorcerer could lift a massive alphorn just to cast a spell?”
She laughed, picturing the sight in her head—Nabu in a long robe, straining under the weight of a ridiculously long horn, trying to aim it like a wand.
Nabu tilted his head, pretending to be serious. “It requires strength, precision… and perhaps a little bravery.”
Musa snorted. “I think I’d rather stick to my guitar. Much lighter, and at least I don’t risk concussing myself mid-spell.”
They both laughed, enjoying the lightness of the moment—two very different worlds, magic and music, colliding in a perfectly whimsical way.
