Chapter Text
If we look at the world as she is, she looks very calm and uneventful. Kids going to school, Teenagers hanging out at skate parks, adults going to work to make money and spent it on clothing, food, vacations.
Of course there were those claiming to be different. Mediums or tarot card readers, acting as if they are something special.
But if the normal human folk would just take a glance at their world around them, maybe questioning things that could be easily explained, maybe they would scratch up the surface to something bigger, something greater, something more dark and dangerous, not like their boring daily life. With stress and nothing but zeros and ones, like a good written program.
But, if they do now decide to look at it, deciding on questioning, investigating and researching the signs, maybe they would come across creatures of darkness, feeding from humans, possessing them, destroying them.
If they would fight against demons with holy water and try to exorcise them out of the poor human bodies they possess, maybe beheading some vampires or stabbing werewolves with a silver knife, something like Dean and Sam would come out of them.
A hunter.
It’s the 31st March of the year 1969, in a small village on the country side, a cold, almost frosty night, with a clear night sky and beautiful twinkling stars. A soft, thin layer of mist clothed the ground, muffling the sounds of the leaves rustling in the wind, branches gently creaking from a light blow of wind coming from east. Only few people were awake, some just coming home from a hard day of work, others going out out with their dogs for the last walk of the day, to enjoy the cold but fresh night air. The livestock was calmly sleeping in their cattle’s, the cats hunting mice and rats, while shooting stars, in a silver hue, shot across the night sky, making anyone jealous who couldn’t be seeing them at the moment.
A farmers couple in their mid thirties was doing their night routine, which included looking at this years shooting stars, smiling, wishing, pointing out bigger and smaller ones out. The man gently caressed his wife’s belly, which was round and full of life, as they were planning their future for them and their child. “Come on, tell me, what did you wish for, Carol?” he teased, nudging her gently. The brunet man playfully tickled her side of the arm, which made her giggle and swatting his hand away. “It wont come true if I tell you, Idiot.” she snorted, when she let out a surprised yelp as he grabbed and tickled her through, which making her laugh cry. Carol tried to protest, swatting his hands away when he stopped and kissed his love deeply. “You are such a dickhead, Scott. Maybe I should have listened to my parents.” the blond girl huffed, before getting pinched softly into her side, which resulted in Scott being smacked, a surprised laugh escaping his lips. “Don’t insult me like that, you hurt your good old bull farmers heart.” he pouted a hand on his heart dramatically, which gained him a soft kiss of his wife.
They parted away, when the sky lit up by a golden blue flame. A shooting star, a big one, flew over the night sky, which made the blond gasp in awe and quickly clasp her hands together in a prayer, quietly wishing upon that beautiful phenomenon. The only light who brightening the dark night sky was the moon and the shooting star, who seemed to come closer and closer, while it was pulling a golden blueish cape after itself. Carol excitedly pointed at it, as Scott narrowed his brows, when he suggested to step inside.
“Oh please, its so beautiful, we cant leave now, please, sweet pea..” Carol looked at him with big eyes, which made him sigh, but the worry in his stomach had not subsided. “…just 3 more minutes” he bargained, earning an eager nod from his distracted wife, who was too busy watching the shooting star. But just as it came closer, Scott quickly took her hand and pulled her inside, the Star crashed down in the middle of their land. It hit the old shed in the process, creating a not so small crater, with smoke and dust swirling up, which polluted the air, the electricity had shut down. They both of course were frightened, Carol whoshook in shock, held her stomach as her husband helped her sit down and doing breathing exercises that calmed her nerves down. Their dogs were barking and the cattle, now wide awake, panicked and made sounds of discomfort. He slowly went out of their house to go inspect, waved his worried and stressed wife off that he would not come too close and would be careful. He slowly investigated the shooting star, the light slowly subsided till only a glimmer was left, his eyes widened as he called his wife over. Instead of a shooting star, something else was in the crater, not moving and exposed to the whole world, which made him cover it up with his jacket.
He looked at his wife, who finally arrived at his side, looking just as dumbstruck and worried of what was laying there.
A human.
