The Eventful Journey To The Altar

Chapter 13: Party Bus Surprise

Chapter Text

The late afternoon sun washed the park in warm gold, turning the grass into a soft green carpet and throwing long shadows behind the trees. Rumi and Jinu stood near the fountain, holding hands, both confused in the exact same adorable way. Rumi’s purple hair glowed under the sun, her demon patterns faint and shimmering. Jinu had one hand in his pocket, the other holding tightly to hers, because he always held her hand whenever he didn’t know what was going on. Which was right now.

They’d been told to “just wait by the fountain and don’t ask questions,” which immediately made them suspicious especially because the person who told them that was Baby.

“Why are we here?” Jinu asked for the seventh time, leaning slightly toward Rumi as if she might have new information. “I don’t know,” she whispered back, squeezing his hand. “Do you think it’s a prank?”

“Baby’s involved,” Jinu muttered. “It’s definitely a prank.”

Baby finally appeared from behind a tree, hands in his pockets and an irritated look on his face. His hair was messy, his tail flicking in annoyance beneath his human glamour. “Stop whispering,” he groaned.

“You two look like suspicious pigeons.” Rumi blinked. “How do pigeons look suspicious?” “Like YOU,” Baby snapped, gesturing to both of them.

“Standing there holding hands and staring at everything like you’re solving a mystery.”

Jinu squinted at him. “We are trying to solve a mystery. YOU are the mystery.” Baby made a frustrated sound into his hands. “Oh my god. Look. Just stay here, pretend to be normal— actually no, never mind, you can’t do that — just DON’T MOVE.” He stomped away muttering, “I swear I need a raise. Or therapy. Or both.” Rumi giggled into Jinu’s shoulder. “He’s so dramatic.”

“He gets that from me,” Jinu teased, kissing her temple. “HEY!” Baby shouted from across the grass. “STOP FLIRTING!”

The bushes rustled. Loudly. Suspiciously. Then Mira’s voice hissed, “Baby, stall them for two more minutes!”

“I AM!” Baby yelled back. “THEY WON’T STOP BEING IN LOVE!”

Rumi covered her face, laughing. Jinu tugged her closer, whispering, “We could just make it harder for him.” She blushed immediately. “Don’t you dare.”

“Princess, I ALWAYS dare.” Before she could swat him, Zoey popped out of the bushes like an unhinged woodland creature. “IS IT TIME?!” she yelled.

Baby sighed. “No, Zoey. You weren’t supposed to come out yet.”

“BUT I’M EXCITED!” she yelled louder, bouncing on her toes. “I’M SO EXCITED I COULD PASS OUT IN THE FOUNTAIN.”

Rumi blinked. “Please don’t do that.”

Zoey pointed dramatically at the path behind them. “BEHOLD!”

At that exact moment, a bright white party bus swung around the corner, neon lights flashing across the front windshield like it was arriving for a music video.

The side had hand-painted lettering: “HUNTRIX + SAJA BOYS CELEBRATION TOUR!!”

Abby leaned out of the driver’s window wearing sunglasses, grinning proudly. “Get in, losers, we’re surprising the future newlyweds!”

Jinu actually froze. Rumi gasped, clapping both hands over her mouth. “No way… they didn’t…” Jinu whispered, “They DID.”

The bus skidded to a stop, and Abby honked the horn like a madman. The doors flew open with dramatic flair. Mystery stepped out first, holding plastic champagne cups. Behind him was Romance, who adjusted his jacket like he was arriving at a movie premiere.

Baby leaned toward Rumi. “SURPRISE,” he said flatly. “Can we go home now?”

Rumi grabbed both his cheeks. “BABY THIS IS AMAZING!” “DON’T TOUCH ME,” he howled, but he was smiling.

Zoey jumped up and down. “C’MON!! WE RENTED A WHOLE PARTY BUS!!! FOR YOU TWO!!! GET IN GET IN GET IN GET—” Mira slapped a hand over Zoey’s mouth. “Zoey, breathe.”

Rumi and Jinu exchanged a look. The married, telepathic kind — and then burst into happy, overwhelmed laughter. “This is insane,” Jinu said softly. “This is perfect,” Rumi whispered.

They climbed onto the bus, greeted with loud cheers, confetti cannons (Zoey’s idea), and one very confused elderly jogger outside who witnessed the whole thing.

The inside of the bus looked like someone had smashed together a nightclub, a karaoke lounge, and a demon-themed birthday party. Neon lights ran along the ceiling. There was a snack table filled with everything Zoey liked, everything Rumi liked, and everything Baby refused to admit he liked.

A giant banner stretched across the back wall: “CONGRATS RUMI & JINU (ALMOST MARRIED!!”)

Rumi covered her mouth again. “I’m gonna cry…” Jinu wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close with a soft smile. “Don’t cry yet,” he whispered. “Save it for later when I serenade you.” She gasped dramatically. “Are you actually going to sing to me?” “Maybe,” he said, kissing her cheek. Mira groaned. “Oh my god.” Zoey gagged. “STOP BEING SWEET.”

Abby revved the engine. “EVERYONE BUCKLE UP!” “YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE YOUR LICENSE!” Baby screamed. “I HAVE CONFIDENCE!” Abby yelled back.

Mira grabbed the nearest pole. “WE’RE GOING TO DIE.” Romance patted her shoulder. “It builds character.”

Jinu leaned toward Rumi, whispering, “If we die, at least I died holding you.”

“STOP ROMANTIC DYING,” Mira shouted.

The bus roared into motion. Music blasted from the speakers — their old debut songs, then their first collab track, then whatever chaotic playlist Zoey had programmed. They drove through the city with the windows open, the night sky twinkling above them, lights flashing across the bus interior like a dream sequence. Zoey danced wildly, pulling Mystery into a half-forced duet. Mira sat stiffly until Romance dragged her up, and then she reluctantly joined in, pretending she wasn’t having fun (but she very obviously was). Baby sat in the corner eating chips, judging everyone.

At one point, Zoey flung herself onto the couch dramatically. “GUESS WHO HAD THE IDEA FOR THIS BUS!” Mira rolled her eyes. “Don’t start—” “ROMANCE!!” Zoey announced.

Rumi gasped. Jinu blinked. Mira turned slowly to Romance, horrified. “YOU?!”

Romance put a hand on his chest proudly. “Of course. I have taste.” Zoey added with a wicked grin, “I could kiss him for that idea if he wasn’t already dating Mira.”

Mira choked. “EXCUSE ME?!” Romance laughed awkwardly. “Babe, she’s kidding.”

Zoey winked. “Or am I?” Mira threw a pretzel at her.

When the bus reached the riverfront, Mystery stood up, lifting his cup. The music quieted. The lights dimmed. Rumi leaned into Jinu’s side, his arm wrapping around her instinctively.

“I want to make a toast,” Mystery said, voice deeper and calmer than the rest of the chaos. Everyone quieted, because Mystery never toasted anything lightly. He looked at Rumi and Jinu with a genuine, warm smile.

“You two… you’re the reason we’re all here. Literally. Your love dragged us out of demon politics and idol rivalry and chaos and somehow turned us into a family. Without you falling in love, none of this would exist — not Huntrix, not Saja Boys, not us eating chips on a party bus at midnight.”

Baby raised his cup. “I didn’t choose this family.”

“Too bad,” Zoey said, clinking cups. Mystery continued, “I’m grateful. Truly. Your wedding is in a month, and I want you both to know… you deserve every happiness. And we’re honored to be part of it.”

Rumi wiped a tear. Jinu squeezed her waist. Then they kissed soft, sweet, glowing and the entire bus exploded into cheering, screaming, and Zoey yelling “GROSS BUT BEAUTIFUL!”

The night rolled on with singing, dancing, teasing, and chaotic love. But eventually, the bus returned to the apartment building.

Abby parked diagonally across three spots. “Perfect,” he said proudly. Baby facepalmed.

Rumi and Jinu, buzzing with joy and exhaustion, slipped away from the group, their hands automatically intertwined as they walked into Jinu’s apartment.

The glow from the bus still lingered, but the quiet was warm and comforting.

Rumi curled into his chest the moment they shut the door behind them. “That was perfect,” she whispered.

Jinu kissed her forehead softly. “Because you were there.”

She smiled, brushing her nose against his. “You’re cheesy.”

“You marrying cheesy.”

“Not yet,” she whispered. “One more month.” He kissed her slowly, gently. “I can’t wait.”

They fell onto the bed together, wrapped in blankets, wrapped in each other, wrapped in the warmth of a night spent with the family they never expected to have. Jinu brushed his thumb over her cheek.

Jinu start slowly, kissing her neck and telling her how much she deserves- no, needs her. Rumi melting into the bed beneath him as he kissed down her breasts, his tongue running circles around her pink nipples. Jinu kiss along her stomach and hips, taking my time. Theres no rush. Only lust, love and her inevitable orgasms.

He peel her panties off, already soaked from his teasing. Jinu’s rough hands grab her thighs, pulling her petite body down the bed with ease. He's so eager to please her it hurts. Jinu kissed her thighs, inching slowly closer as Rumi bucks and moans, Jinu’s desperate, impatient princess.

At last he kissed his way to her lips, denying her the pleasure of direct contact just yet. Jinu look up to see her staring with hunger, all pre-tense fading as lust fills her mind. Even her eyes look different, a neediness and impatience reserved only for these moments colours her face. They are just two animals now.

Jinu extended his tongue, meeting her warm wetness, slowly licking up towards her clit as Rumi’s head rolls back and she stifles a moan. Just before Jinu reached it he stopped. Then again. Then again. Each taste driving Rumi closer to ecstasy.

“Please please please please plea-“

Jinu’s tongue drags over her clit, and his sensitive little princess almost came from that alone. But he's not finished, not even close.

He pause everything. Rumi squirms and moans. Her hands grip Jinu’s hair as she tries her best to fuck his face. Her desperation is so sexy. Again Jinu’s tongue glides over her, the bed soaked in her anticipation.

Jinu reached her aching clit once more and start kissing it. Passionate, love making kisses as if he had been gone for years. It’s already too late for her. Jinu feel her body shudder and her legs closed around his head. You would think Rumi wanted him dead how hard she squeezed, but Jinu kept the same pace, happy to pass out if it means her orgasm is even slightly better for it.

Rumi loses all control, her body jerking and tensing as a guttural moan leaves her throat. Jinu starts to see stars from the pressure as her first orgasm rolls through her body, Rumi’s sweetness coats his face as Jinu does what he was made to do.

Jinu feels her legs start to loosen as Rumi’s body twitches and she whimpers, overwhelmed and deeply satisfied. He licked and kissed, slowing down as her sensitivity reaches new heights. Jinu glanced up to see her eyes half-open, cheeks flushed red and hair a tangled mess. Rumi’s gaze meets his and she smiles, caressing his wet face with a shaking hand.

She knows this is just the beginning, it wouldn’t be enough to make her cum just once, for him or for her. So Jinu begin to build up all over again, soft kisses along her thighs as his hands explore her breasts. Jinu moved up and kissed her so Rumi can taste herself. Unable to form words yet she moans and licks herself from him face.

“Goodnight, princess.”

Rumi kissed him one last time. “Goodnight, my love.”

And in that quiet glow, their hearts full, they drifted into sleep—
grateful, loved, and ready for the life waiting ahead.
