Rhonda and Amaryllis have gathered up the best fighters and they went to the Room of Requirement. They hid among the various items inside and waited for the deatheaters to show up. Snape was in his office looking outside with his important task at hand. He knew, what he had to do and what he promised to Narcissa, but it was still difficult.
Holly got into the common room. Draco immediately noticed her and they hugged. Holly said: "It's now or never. He's very weak." Draco nodded and they went to the Astronomy tower. Meanwhile in the Room of Requirement, the Vanishing cabinet opened. Over 10 deatheaters came out. Rhonda and Amaryllis were waiting for the right moment to engage. Once the deatheaters were right between them, Rhonda gave Amaryllis a gesture and they attacked.
Rhonda immediately decapitated one of the deatheaters while Neville and Luna blasted two of them in the chest killing them. Ginny blew one into red mush and Hannah summoned one straight towards her and burnt him to ashes. Amaryllis and Blaise overwhelmed a deatheater with energy spells until he dropped to the floor with severe internal injuries, Greengrass sisters blew three of them to pieces and Pansy froze, then shattered one of them. Then more deatheaters showed up. Ron, Hermione and Cho cast overpowered explosive spells into the cabinet destroying it and killing most of the deatheaters. The remaining ones cast the killing curse at the fighters, but all of them got into a spell clash with Rhonda, Amaryllis, Neville and Luna. The other fighters cast the blasting curse at the deatheaters and burnt them.
The kids took a deep breath and Rhonda said: "Whoa. That was way more than I expected. Lucky we were fighting in such a cramped space." Amaryllis added: "And we had the element of surprise. No survivors either, so Draco should be safe."
Meanwhile
Holly and Draco got to the Astronomy tower. Dumbledore said: "Good evening Draco." Holly said: "I guess you already know, you're being hunted professor. I'm sorry, but this is the only way." And they both aimed at him. Dumbledore said: "In that case, I'll make it easier for you." Holly cast: "Expeliarmus!" And Dumbledore's wand flew away. Then they heard the sounds of the battle. Dumbledore said: "Excellent. Excellent. Is there anyone else?" Draco said: "The Vanishing cabinet in the Room of Requirement. I fixed it. Right now, our friends are killing the deatheaters who jumped into our trap." Dumbledore said: "Very clever. And the other one is in Borgin and Burke's, if my memory serves me well." Draco said: "Precisely. I was chosen for this." And he revealed his tattoo. Holly said: "Now that you know this, surely you will accept Draco killing you." She turned to Draco. "Do it. Cast the killing curse my love." Dumbledore said: "He doesn't have the stomach. Just like his dead father. Do it yourself Holly. I know, you're not afraid of these spells." Holly said: "I'm very sorry professor, but Voldemort said, that Draco must do it. I'm not losing my boyfriend, whom I love with my whole heart. I don't want this either, but you must die. Or he's going to kill him." And her eyes began tearing up. Draco was still standing there also tearing up and shaking, but eventually he began casting. "Ava. . ." "No." Snape cut him off and stepped up. Holly and Draco went pale and froze in place. Dumbledore said: "Severus." They looked eachother in the eyes. Then Dumbledore said plainly: "Please." Snape aimed and cast: "Avada Kedavra."
The green bolt hit Dumbledore and threw his dead body off of the tower. Snape looked like he was glad it was done, but also looked like he didn't really want to do it. He then turned into a puff of black smoke and together with Draco flew down. Holly couldn't believe her eyes. The teacher, she has trusted the most was on the other side the whole time. She stood there pale and frozen for good two minutes.
Snape and Draco landed by the Hagrid's hut, Snape said: "Good plan with the cabinet. I knew I could trust you." Draco didn't know what to say as he was still shocked by what just happened. Then other deatheaters showed up. One of them cast the Dark Mark above the castle and another one spat onto the hut and just set it on fire for fun. Snape ordered them: "Go!" Then Holly flew there shouting: "SNAPE!!! I TRUSTED YOU!!!!!" She landed right in front of him and immediately hurled two fireballs at him. Snape deflected them onto two deatheaters with no issue. Holly Screamed: "AVADA KEDAVRA!!!!" Snape dodged her bolt and it hit another deatheater instead. Then one of them hit Holly with a powerful energy spell and sent her flying multiple meters backwards. He wanted to finish her, but Snape ordered: "No! She belongs to the dark lord!" And the deatheater left. Snape looked at Holly for the last time and went with the others.
Once his back was turned Holly got up and tried to cast: "SECTUMSEMPRA!" Before the spell came out, Snape turned and hit her with another energy spell and sent her flying back more. He went towards her and said looking quite angry: "You dare use my own spells against me Holly? Yes. I'm the Half-blood Prince." He kicked her wand out of her hand and left.
Holly was just lying there crying with her stomach and back hurting. After about 5 minutes, she got up and limped back into Hogwarts. The entire school was gathered on the main courtyard honouring Dumbledore. Holly limped towards his body and got the Slytherin locket. She then went towards her friends and they all hugged eachother. Everyone then raised their wands and removed the dark mark from the sky. Holly then went to the Astronomy tower with Rhonda and Amaryllis. Pansy and Greengrass sisters were going as well.
Holly explained everything about the horcruxes and how to kill Voldemort. She then looked inside the locket and it was fake. There was a letter inside. Amaryllis read it. "To the dark lord. I will be dead before you read this, but know, that it was me, who found your secret. I stole the real horcrux and will destroy it when I get the opportunity. R. A. B. Who is that?" Holly said: "No idea. But he has the real horcrux. So that whole mission into the cave was fucking pointless." Rhonda asked: "But hey at least you killed Dumbledore." Holly said: "No. Draco was about to. But then Snape came. And did it himself. He never stopped being a deatheater. And I trusted him! I thought he was on our side!" She started crying again. "And now Draco is gone! I don't know, where he is. I don't know, if he's alive." Rhonda then began comforting her. Then an owl came and dropped a letter. Pansy got it and it said: "Holly, it's not as you think. I am still alive. He didn't tell him, who cast. Your loving boyfriend." Holly looked at it and recognised Draco's handwriting. He was still alive and Snape didn't tell Voldemort.
Blaise said: "He may still be with us then. Maybe it was some kind of grand plan." Holly calmed down a bit. "Maybe." Rhonda said: "But what next? We cannot return here." Holly said: "No we can't. We must find the remaining horcruxes. 4 to be precise. Will you help me? I can't do this alone." Rhonda said while still holding onto her. "Of course we will. We're your friends. And we are an army. Army works together no matter what." Amaryllis said: "But some of us need to stay here to protect the younger kids from abuse, should the school be infiltrated by deatheaters." Pansy said: "Leave that to me. I was actually chosen to be the Slytherin head girl." Daphne added: "And our parents are too powerful. We can also help. I'm staying. You Astoria?" Astoria agreed as well. Blaise said: "And I'm also staying. I will help Pansy as the head boy." Amaryllis warned him: "But don't start any funny business there. You know how angry I can get." Everyone laughed for a bit. They then all looked into the beautiful sky.
