Chapter 1: Some Ninja
Chapter Text
You shivered as you walked down the sewers to the lair. It was a particularly chilly night, and you had brought some hot chocolate for the boys as a surprise.
You smiled pleased with yourself as you thought of the looks on their faces when they saw you bearing gifts, especially Raphael. His smirk made your heart melt. You all have been friends for years now, but for the last six months you and the turtle in red had been an item, and it was wonderful.
As you approached the entrance you could hear Mikey playing video games. You silently crept in hoping to surprise Mikey but he noticed you and his eyes went wide.
"Oh, uh... Heeeey Angelcakes! What are you doing here?! " He greeted you loudly, jumping up to embrace you.
"Whats up Tiger!" You smiled back bracing yourself for his hug.
"Uhm..YO. Dude let's go out and skateboard, like right now!" He put his arm around your shoulders leading you back towards the direction you came.
"Uh, haha. Maybe later Mikey, I brought hot chocolate for everyone!" you said as you broke free of his hold.
"Where's Raph?" You started walking towards his sleep area when Leo burst out of the dojo.
"Hey you! " Leo ran over and hugged you lifting you up.
"Leo!" you screamed. "What's gotten into you? Are you okay?" you questioned, confused by his actions.
"I just uh... I'm happy to see you!" He cleared his throat as you gave him a doubting look. "Let's go train in the dojo!"
"Yeah... we can in a bit. I brought this hot chocolate for you guys, I was just on my way to surprise Raph."
You smiled at the boys as you started to leave.
"Hot chocolate! Can I have some!" Leo said a little too eager for your taste.
"uhhh, sure dude. Just let me go say hi to Raph then we ca-" Mikey cut you off by covering your eyes with his hands.
"Guess who!" said the turtle behind you.
"Mikey." you said flatly.
"Dude! You are so good at this! What do you say you try to beat my butt at this game I'm playing, it's super sick bro." he said nervously as he lowered his hands.
"Guys! Stop it! I'll be back in a second and then we can do stuff okay?" Mikey tried to protest but you cut him off quickly with your glare starting to get annoyed with their impatience.
You began to walk towards Raph's living quarters but before you turned the corner you stopped.
Squinting your eyes as you tried to listen. Your heart dropped as you realized the sounds you heard were the sounds of grunts and moans. You turned around to see the other two watching you closely, Mikey's eyes wide and Leo's face etched with regret.
"y/n ... don't." Leo quietly pleaded.
You looked at the two for a moment not knowing what to do. Then anger flooded your body and you spun on your heals ignoring Leo's request and turned the corner. You froze unable to move as you watched the bodies in front of you entwined.
The anger left just as quick as it came and was replaced with heartbreak. tears silently began to roll down your cheek as you watched unable to look away.
You dropped the flask of hot chocolate you were holding, spilling it's contents to the floor. April was the first to notice you and her face filled with horror as she jumped up.
You quickly turned to leave not wanting them to see you cry, you ran pass the other boys in the living room and right before you were out you felt your arm being grabbed.
"Babe." came the voice as you whipped your head around.
"It's not what it- I didn't mean to-" His eyes pleading with you as his tongue tripped around trying to find the words to say.
"DON'T." You spat out ripping your arm from his grasp.
you turned to leave, but stopped and faced him once more. ignoring the watching eyes of everyone else, you wiped your tears and stood up straight.
"What are the most important traits of a ninja?" you asked
He just stood there staring at you for a second not sure what to say.
"Answer me." You said standing a little taller.
"Speed..." He said quietly confused. "Stealth... and.."
"And what? Raphael, what else?"
"And..." He looked away from you. "Honor." he whispered.
" Honor. So where's the honor in cheating on your girlfriend huh Raph?" You studied his face as he winced.
" So we rule out honor because apparently you dont have a problem with fucking people behind my back."
"bab-" You cut him off before he could say anything.
"And as far as stealth goes... well, you got caught." And with that you turned to walk out.
Stopping, you glanced over your shoulder at the woman holding a sheet to her bare body, then back to the large turtle standing there looking helpless.
"huh, some ninja you are." you scoffed then walked away with your head held high.

Chapter Text
You walked into your apartment locking the door behind you and turning on your lights. You picked up the bat you had sitting beside the door and checked all the rooms making sure you were the only one present.
You knew it was extremely paranoid of you for this to be your nightly routine, but hey, a single girl in New York can never be too careful right? Right... maybe you did need to get out more, or at least make friends besides your crime fighting vigilantes.
You plopped down on the couch with a sigh, both physically exhausted and mentally. You stared down at the bat in your hands.
"Geeze y/n" you mumbled to yourself.
Your phone buzzed and you checked it, you frowned turning it off and returning it to your pocket. It had been three weeks since you ran out on Ralph's little rendezvous and he had been calling and texting since.
You tried to ignore him by filling up your time with work but once you got home your phone would be full of text saying he "wanted to talk" or " babe I'm sorry" or some other crap that honestly you just can't deal with right now.
You were confused, and hurt. Really hurt. You really did miss the guys though, you had wanted to go see them but just couldn't bring yourself to go back to the lair.
Your stomach started to growl reminding you how long it's been since you last ate, and you stood and walked towards the kitchen area. You stopped as you heard tapping on your window. You frowned, the curtains were closed but you knew who it was on the other side.
You really didn't want to do this right now after a long day, so you ignored it and kept on the search for food.
The tapping continued but you tried to block it out finding some sandwich meat in the fridge. Then finally the sound stopped.
'Silence. Finally.' You thought to yourself.
*tap tap tap*
You let out a sigh of annoyance stomping over to the window.
"I DON'T WANT TO SEE YO-" You yelled pulling back the curtain, but you stopped mid-sentence when you realized who was staring back at you.
"Oh." You said quietly, slightly embarrassed about your outburst.
"Leo what are you doing here?" You questioned not sure if you should let him in or not.
He smiled sadly and pointed towards the lock. You stared back for a second then looked at the lock and sighed in defeat. You unlocked the window and stood aside for him to climb through.
" Hey Leo." You turned to walk back towards the kitchen.
"You want a sandwich? I was just making myself some dinner... well, midnight snack I guess" you joked trying your best to look like you were alright.
"Uh... sure" he said walking over and sitting on a barstool at the counter.
You smiled then continued on but you could feel his eyes burning holes in you. He was watching you, analyzing you. He let out a sad sigh breaking the awkward silence between you two. You were secretly thankful for it, that is until he spoke.
"You haven't been to the lair in a while" he said watching you wince.
"Works been killer, been working double shifts" you replied not looking up from the loaf of bread.
"It's been three weeks." Leo said shifting in his seat.
"Really? Has it been that long? Crazy." You said trying to brush it off nonchalantly.
" y/n ..." He looked at you with those piercing blue eyes.
You stared back at him not sure what to say, what did he want from you?
"You haven't replied to any of our text or calls, I- we were starting to worry." He said gently.
" yeah." Was the only thing you could reply.
You handed him his food and took your with you to the living area, sitting on the couch folding your legs up. He followed you and sat beside.
" You know you have to face us sometime." He said more as a statement than anything else.
" I... I... I just can't right now Leo..." You felt his eyes watching you and you looked at him challenging him with your own stare.
Those eyes. Its like he could see right through you, and you hated it. You were so broken right now and he knew it.
"Y/n, will you please talk to Raph?" His words sounding like he was thinking carefully while he spoke.
"Please, I know you are hurting... but, you hiding out isn't going to help." He placed a hand on yours but you drew back and stood up.
"How long." You said flatly.
"What?" He said confused.
"HOW LONG. How long did you know Leo? Did everyone know but me? Did you guys think it was funny to watch me be a fool thinking he loved me!" The anger starting to appear in your voice.
"Y/n...please-" you cut him off not wanting to hear his reasoning.
"TELL ME LEO!" You tried holding back the tears but you efforts weren't working.
" He- it- ...to the best of my knowledge, that was the only time it happened... y/n, Raph loves you I swear." He looked defeated as he tried to make his words sound better.
"I think you should go now." You said walking over to the window. And opening it.
Leo looked at you with sad eyes, and you hated yourself for it. He walked over to the window and mumbled something you couldn't quite make out.
"What." You said feeling annoyed.
"I said..." he paused as though thinking whether or not to tell you.
" I said, if it wasn't my brother..." he said sadly.
"What?" You said your fatigue starting to wear you down.
"...I would have... I would have killed the man responsible for hurting a perfect flower like you." He finished softly.
"I...I- you should go." You said quietly not sure what else to say.
He bowed to you and turned towards the window. You took a step back giving him some room, but stepped on the window curtain losing your footing, and prepared for the pain of hitting the floor.
But instead of pain all you felt was two strong arms wrapped around you. You opened your eyes to see those blue pools staring back at you.
He stood you back up but you both were way closer than you wanted to be, but you couldn't break the eye contact. Your hands on his chest to balance yourself.
"Leo..." your voice barely above a whisper.
"Y/n." He spoke just as soft leaning down slightly.
You could feel each others breath. This wasn't right. You wanted to step away but you froze unable to move.
"You're so beautiful." He said in a quiet voice.
A tear fell down you cheek and you leaned up breaking some of the space between you two.
"I- ...thank you." You said unable to look away from his stare.
He reached up slowly and brushed your cheek.
You leaned into his hand and closed your eyes. You let out a shaky breath. The heat between your bodies strangely comforting.
But just as quickly as the warmth had come, it was gone. You opened you eyes to find an empty room. You let out the breath you didn't know you were holding and closed the window locking it once more. Tears began to fall as you held yourself.
"Stop crying y/n. Go to bed." You glanced out the window looking at the moon.
"Things always look better after sleep" you whispered to yourself.
Closing the curtain you headed to bed, unaware of the fact that a certain red clad turtle was watching the whole scene from the rooftop next door.

Chapter Text
You woke up to the sound of your alarm. Groaning, you rolled over and shut it off. It was you day off and you were not getting up.
Last nights sleep was the worst you had had in a long time. The events of last night still going through your mind. You had tried to push out the thoughts, but despite your best efforts you tossed and turned all night thinking.
"Why do I have to think so much... Why can't you just turn your brain off y/n.' you grumbled to yourself throwing the covers over your head.
You closed your eyes deciding to go back to sleep, but the sound of your phone ringing interrupted that plan. You growled, and threw the blanket off of you to look at who was calling.
'Huh, what does Casey want?' You thought to yourself debating whether or not to answer it.
"Hey, Case. What's up?" You half said, half yawned.
" Hey little buddy, what are your plans for today? " His voice came over the phone.
You thought about making something up so you could spend the day in bed, but in all honesty you could use someone to talk to.
"I have no plans, you have something in mind?" You said while sitting up.
" Yeah, I was wanting to hang out. How's about in an hour? Sound cool?" He questioned.
You whined not wanting to get ready so fast but you decided to just get over it, and stood up to walk towards the bathroom.
"Yeahhhh, I guess I can do that." You replied stretching.
"Cool! I'll meet ya at the ice rink." And with that he hung up.
You put the phone on the counter and looked in the mirror. Uhg, you looked like shit. You let out a sigh looking at the bags under your eyes from the poor nights rest.
You showered and got dressed, then headed to meet Casey. When you got to the rink he was skating around. You walked over to the rail and leaned over watched him hit hockey pucks into the net. Casey noticed you and smiled.
"Take a picture it will last longer!" He smiled smugly as he shot another puck into the net.
"Shut up! Don't make me come over there." You pretended to be angry as you smashed you fist into your other hand.
"Ooooooh ho ho, come show me how it's done then bud!" He yelled back at you swinging his hockey stick over his shoulder.
"Naw, no thanks. I'll stay out here. Besides... I wouldn't want you to feel bad about yourself after watching my awesomeness ." You winked at him walking over to the benches.
"Riiiiiight." Casey chuckled skating over to you.
"So..." He said wobbling over to the bench.
"So?" You said raising an eyebrow.
" How are you handling? I mean, the boys said you haven't talked to them-" you cut him off with a loud exhale of breath.
"UHHHG!" You threw yourself back dramatically.
"Not you too Case." You said rubbing your temples. A headache starting to form.
"I would think you'd be having a hard time. I mean, I thought you and April were a thing." You said looking over at him.
" We were... ARE." He clarified, untying his skates.
"What?" You sat up slowly looking at him, was he not mad? Not heartbroken?
"I forgave her." He said and paused. "And you should forgive Raph... I mean I can't tell you what to do, but...at least give him a chance to talk to you." He said as he took off his skates.
You watched him quietly, not sure what to say. Confused with how okay he seemed with everything.
"How?" You said softly. He looked as though he was thinking, you both sat there silently.
"I- because." He let out a sigh.
" I love April. And.. we all make mistakes. I mean, I would be lying if I said I've never been in a situation where it could have happened to me." As he spoke you thought back to last night, the warmth you felt when Leo was so close to you. And how easily you could have crossed that line if he would have allowed it.
"And if we are being completely honest here..." he leaned in as if he was telling a secret.
"I'd be curious about what it's like to do a turtle if I was a chick." He winked at you. You smacked him, and he chuckled.
"Okay." You said looking at your feet.
"Okay?" He said watching you.
"Okay." You said looking up at him. He smiled and threw his skate over his shoulders.
"That's great!" He said standing. You stood too, following him towards the exit.
"Hey... You know... you guys could always try a threesome!" He said jokingly. You stopped and glared at him.
"Casey. That's entirely distasteful." You said putting your hand on your hip.
"Too soon?" He said chuckling under his breath.
"I'm sorry. Common little B, I'll buy you some lunch." He held out his arm for you. You stood there a moment longer glaring at him.
"Fine." You said walking over to him. He put his arm around your shoulder leading you out.
"Dork." He mumbled under his breath.
"Shut up Casey!" You yelled jabbing him in the side.

Chapter Text
Leo sat in the center of the dojo meditating, trying to concentrate on his breathing. The thoughts of you filled his mind and he wanted desperately to quiet them.
He just couldn't quite shake them, the images of you standing in front of him. The moonlight illuminating your beautiful face. Holding you in his arms. The way your breath hitched when he touched your cheek. It was all too much for him to handle, he had to get his thoughts under control.
"So how'd 't go?" The deep voice interrupted Leo's concentration.
He opened his eyes to see Raphael standing in front of him with his arms crossed. He looked in a bad mood, and Leo really didn't want to fight right now.
"I tried Raph. But she's not ready yet. Give her more time" Leo replied closing his eyes again to continue his meditation.
"Oh... 'Kay." Raph said circling his brother.
"I really did try Raph." Leo said shifting a little. He could feel his brother glaring at him.
"The fuck you did Leo." The anger apparent in Raph's voice
"I can't help it if she's still hurt Raphael." Leo replied not opening his eyes.
"I SAW you Leo!" Raph said stoping in front of him. Leo stiffened slightly.
"You don't know what your talking about Raph. Nothing happened." Leo took in a deep breath trying to ignore the hot head.
"Fuck, Leo! You think I'm stupid? I saw you two!" He growled getting in his face.
"Raph you need to take a lap. Cool dow-" Leo was cut off by Raphael.
"FUCK OFF LEO! don't tell me what ta do!" Raphael spat back at his brother, standing so he was towering over Leo.
"Let's not Raph, I'm not in the mood." Leo closed his eyes once more trying to calm himself.
" You seemed in the mood last night when ya went after my girl." Raph growled, wacking Leo in the head as he walked past towards the door.
"Nothing happened. Because unlike YOU, I have self-control." Leo stated standing up.
"What did you say?" Raph turned around
" You heard me Raph." Leo stood up straight.
"You little bastard. Ya wanted this didn't ya? You didn't try to get her to come back ta me, ya wanted her ta come ta you!" He yelled crossing over towards Leo.
"You don't know what your talking about." Leo said with a warning in his voice.
"DONT GIVE ME THAT CRAP! You have always been after y/n! " Raph pulled out his sais.
"Put those away Raph, I'm not going to fight you." Leo started to walk towards the exit but raph pushed him as he walked past causing him to stumble back.
"I SAID. I'm not going to fight you. Take your anger out on something else." Leo pushed past him.
"Coward." Raph spat out putting his weapons away.
"You know what?" Leo turned around to face his brother.
"You NEVER take responsibility for your own mistakes. You are so scared by the fact that you screwed up so bad, that you refuse to accept that maybe... maybe this is just your consequence. YOU SCREWED UP RAPH! Own it!" And with that Leo turned around to leave.
"Okay fearless. Okay! I screwed up! But that doesn't give ya a right ta go behind my back!" Raph yelled out to Leo.
"I told you nothing happened!" Leo turned around shoving Raph back.
"I trusted you Leo!" Raph yelled tacking Him to the ground.
"Y/n trusted you!" Leo spat back.
Raphael threw Leo across the floor and stood up. Leo wiped his face. Raph drew his sais once more getting in a fighting stance.
"You don't want to do this Raph." Leo said as he stood up drawing his katanas.
"Yeah, I really do." Raph said with a deadly tone.
"Raph... this isn't going to make y/n come bac-" Leo was interrupted with Raphael charging him, their weapons clashed and Leo kicked him back.
Raph let out a growl, and came back harder. He dodged Leo's attack and smacked him in the face with the hilt of his weapon splitting his lip. Now Leo was mad.
"You know what! You have never deserved y/n!! She has always been too good for you!!" Leo wiped the blood readying himself for the next attack.
"FUCK YOU!" Raph threw himself at Leo causing them both to fall to the floor.
They both rolled around on the ground punching eachother, Leo managed to break free and jumped up. Raph threw his sai at Leo and he deflected it with his katana.
"Your sloppy Raph!" Leo stated as their weapons danced back and forth with great force.
"Shut up fearless!" The hot head spat back.
They fought with deadly blows, neither one of them willing to back down. The longer they fought the more personal it seemed to become. They tore up the dojo, knocking over weapons and putting holes in the wall. Right when Leo thought it would never end, Raph misjudged his step and stumbled slightly but just enough to give Leo the opening to sweep under his legs cause Raphael to fall back on his shell. Leo jumped on top pinning Raph down. Both panting hard. Both bleeding and bruised. Neither willing to speak.
Raph closed his eyes excepting defeat. He let out a thundering cry that made Leo wince. Raph's chest began to heave, and tears began to fall down his cheek. Leo let out a sigh. He rolled over off Raph, and sat beside his brother.
"I really fucked up Leo." He said letting out the breath he was holding. Leo nodded his head thoughtfully.
"Yeah...ya have." He said softly.
They both stayed there staring at the ceiling, neither of them talking, letting the healing take place, just breathing. Just breathing. Just...breath.
Chapter Text
You sat on the couch snuggled in a blanket trying to watch tv, your eyes were growing heavy and you yawed debating whether or not to just go to bed.
It had been a long day, a long week, heck, a long month. You were tired of being tired. You just wanted to erase everything. Maybe you could move, start over... no, you couldn't. You had already built a life here, and honestly you didn't want to leave. You just wanted the ache to stop.
You still hadn't gone to talk to anyone, even though you told Casey you would. You would eventually, you told yourself. You turned off the tv and sighed.
"Well so much for that plan." You mumbled gathering your blanket as you stood to go towards your bedroom.
You heard a tapping on your window and froze. No, not this again you groaned internally. You didn't move, maybe they would go away if you stayed completely still you reasoned with yourself.
"Duuuuuuuudette, pssst duuuudette!" Came the hushed tone on the other side of the curtain.
"Mikey?" You whispered back
You pulled back the curtain to see a dazzling smile shining back. Mikey waved happily at you. You let out a small giggle, he really did look ridiculous hanging there.
"Mikey what are you doing here?" You question as you opened the window for him to fall in.
For a ninja Mikey was not that quiet. You wouldn't be surprised if he had woken up the whole building. You shook your head as Mikey stammered back up to his feet
"Uhhh.. sorry." He whispered rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's really late Mikey." You said trying to keep the blanket you held from touching the ground.
"I know." Mikey smiled, holding up a bag.
"Whats with the bag?" You questioned raising an eyebrow.
"I brought stuff! A movie and wait for it....orange Crush! Tada!" He waved the bag in front of you.
"Mikey, that's really nice, but I was just going to be-" you stopped as you noticed Mikey's eyes.
Even though he held a smile, his eyes, they looked sad. Lost. You hadn't even thought about how hard all of this had been on Mikey. He must be struggling with all of this too, You could only guess how stressful things are back at the lair.
"I miss you dude." He said in such a small voice, he sounded like a child.
You looked down at your feet feeling ashamed of yourself for ignoring him. You heard him digging through his bag and you looked up.
"Look what I broooooought." He held out a dvd of your favorite movie, waving it in a coaxing manner.
"Uhg... Fiiiiiine." You said rolling your eyes.
"YES! This is gonna be great!" He said excitedly as he picked you up in a hug.
"Common! Lets get this party started!" He carried you to the couch and tossed you on it.
You let out a yelp as you tried to untangle from the blanket that bound you. You broke free and threw the blanket at Mikey. He smiled, and put in the dvd.
Opening a can of soda he sat himself down on the couch, and wrapped an arm around you. As the movie went on you grew tired. You repositioned yourself so you could lay your head on his lap. Feeling content, a small smile crept across your face.
"I missed you Y/n." Mikey said smiling at you.
"I know." You said softly.
"I missed you too bro." You said as a yawn began to form. You closed your eyes and felt the darkness fall.
. . .
You shifted as you awoke on the couch. Realizing you had drooled all over yourself, you wiped your face. 'Ew' you thought Sitting up. Looking around, you notice empty orange crush cans littered your floor but Mikey was nowhere in sight.
'He must have gone home' you thought pulling out your phone to look at the time. 3:45 am. Groaning, you rolled yourself off the couch and headed for your bed. Letting out a tired yawn you looked down noticing a box on your comforter. You sat down on the bed and pulled it over to you.
"What the?" You examined it, your name was on the tag. Mikey must have put it there, you thought as you picked it up.
You opened the gift and pulled out the contents. A large knit blanket, and by the size, it looked like it had taken a while to make. Confused you picked up the note that fell to the floor and read it.
" Dear y/n,
It's been cold out and I wanted ta make sure you were warm. I thought about you with every stitch, damn, I'm not good with words, but I do know... fuck. I wish... I just
Im sorry.
I'll be here whenever you're ready...
-Raph "
You shook your head trying to hold back the tears.
"I hate you." You whispered. Holding the blanket tight to your chest. Damn it. It smelled like him. Wrapping yourself in it you laid back closing your eyes.
You breathed in a sharp breath as the tears began to roll down your cheek. His scent haunting your memories.
"I hate you." You whispered once more as sleep numbed the pain.

Chapter Text
You took a deep breath. You stood right outside the entrance of the lair unable to move. Mikey had texted you, telling you that Leo and Raph had patrol tonight so they would be gone. Still, the thought of going back in scared you. Why? It was just a room you told yourself. But that didn't keep your stomach from turning on itself.
It had been so long since you've been down, it felt foreign to you. It had been your other home and now... now you felt like an outsider staring at the gate of someone else's domain.
You could always turn around you thought, I mean, nobody knew you were here yet. Taking a few steps back you stopped. No, you couldn't do that to Mikey, it's not fair to him.
"Put on your big girl pants y/n." You said to yourself walking through. You smiled.
You had missed this place, it was the dream of every child's club house. You walked through looking around, where was mikey? You checked the kitchen and living area but he was nowhere to be found. The TV wasn't even on.
"Huh. So much for that." You frowned.
You peeked into the dojo, no one. You noticed the lights in Donnie's lab was on. You opened the door quietly and stepped in. Donnie was over at his work table hunched over some gadget fidgeting away. You watched for a second, not sure if you should say anything.
You weren't sure how he felt about you at the moment, maybe he liked April better than you. Maybe he didn't want to see you. What if he was mad at you for ignoring them. Your thoughts began to make you panic, you immediately regretted coming in and took a step back to leave but he heard you.
You froze like a dear in headlights when he looked up. You both stared at each other for a second, feeling like strangers. You felt sick, 'your so stupid y/n ! " you yelled at yourself internally. But all the thickness in the air quickly faded when a wide smile spread across Donnie's face.
"Y/n ! What are you doing here!" He jumped up dropping all the equipment in his lap to the ground.
"It's- uhg, oops- uh, Its good to see you!" He fumbled around the wires trying to get to you.
You giggled at his awkwardness. Oh gosh, you missed this. He paused when he got to you, as if he was waiting for a sign from you to say it was ok for him to hug you. You smile and wrapped your arms around his waist.
"I missed you Don Don." You closed you eyes and took in a deep breath, keeping your emotions at bay.
"I- I missed you too y/n." He said resting his chin on the top of your head.
"Where's Mikey?" You questioned pulling away.
"He had to go on patrol." Donatello replied adjusting his glasses.
"Oh... wait what? He invited me down here, thats why I came." You said confused.
"It was a last minute thing, they all ended up going." Donnie shrugged.
"Oh. Okay. Well... can I watch you work?" You asked as you looked at the ground.
"Y/n, you know you don't even have to ask." He replied with a smile walking over to his work station.
"Cool beans." You whispered as a sheepish smile appeared on your face.
You followed donnie to his station and sat on a stool beside him. You watched as he tinkered, his concentration, the way his tongue would poke out. It was oddly relaxing to you, the clicks of metal, the way his glasses would slip down every now and then. It was all very familiar and you started to feel at home again. It's funny, not an hour ago you felt like an outcast, and now... it almost feels normal again you thought to yourself.
Idly you began swinging you feet as you hummed. You stopped when you noticed Donnie's face. You weren't sure, but underneath his concentration he looked...worried? Sad? You let you a sigh.
"How are you Don Don?" You asked leaning forward resting your head in your hands.
"Honestly?" He paused what he was doing and looked at you for a second.
"I... I don't really know. But It's nice that you are here y/n. " he smiled sadly at you then continued his work.
"...wha- ...what's it been like around here? " You asked not really sure you wanted to hear the answer.
"It's been...different." He said as he tinkered.
You sat there quietly hoping he would continue, but he seemed to into whatever it was he was messing with. You let out a breath and rested your head on the table.
"Different" you mumbled to yourself.
He looked at you from the corner of his eyes as he continued his work, he let out a little sigh.
" We have all been handling it in our own ways. Raph's been his normal charming self." He said sarcastically.
"Leo has been meditating constantly." He continued.
"Mikey's immersed himself in video games and boarding." He stopped and looked at you.
"And me? I have been trying to distract myself with whatever this stupid thing is." He half smiled and placed the object on the table.
" I don't even know what it is. I just like the sound it makes when I mess with it. It distracts from the-" he stopped and looked at his lap.
"Silence. We- ...nobody has been talking to each other for a while...we just feel unbalanced, like the air stinks or something, I don't know." He picked up the gadget again and began to fidget once more with it.
You nodded your head and sat up straight looking at your lap. You both sat there for a moment in silence.
"Casey seems to be doing pretty good." You said under your breath.
"What?" Donnie question.
"Case, he didn't seemed too bothered." You clarified.
"Casey almost knocked Raph's head off his shoulders." Donnie said not looking away from his toy.
"What?" You asked confused
"Yeah, we had to hold him back. Things are better now but... oh boy." He said with a nervous giggle.
"He seemed ok when I talked to him, he even joked about it." You stated as you crinkled your nose remembering his horrible jokes.
"Everyone deals with things differently, he probably deals with humor." Was Don's reply.
"Wait, so he was mad?" You asked leaning back on the table.
"Well after that he disappeared for a week, we were worried he wasn't coming back. But he did. They started relationship counseling then." Donnie explained as he worked.
"Oh." Was all your reply.
"Where did he go?" You asked after a moment.
"He said he backpacked. He was going to leave, but decided he wanted to make it work." Donnie looked up thoughtfully.
"I'm glad... they are good for each other." He smiled shyly.
"Yeah.." You idly replied as you tried to think.
Your thoughts were interrupted as a familiar voice spoke. You smiled and looked behind you at the friendly eyes staring back.
"Master Splinter." You said standing up
"My child, it is so good to hear your voice once more. Might I have a moment of your time to speak?" He asked motioning towards the door.
"Of course." You replied slightly bowing.
"It was good to see you again Y/n, my lab is your lab." Donnie half smiled as he adjusted his glasses once more.
"You too Don Don, I promise I'll visit sooner next time" You smiled at him.
He smiled brightly at you, and you left to follow Splinter to his meditation room. He motioned for you to sit.
" I have missed your company dear y/n." He said with a warmth that was so sincere it could break through all your walls.
You felt it, he had that kind of power on you, all the barriers felt like they were crumbling, and you sat down letting all the emotions you had been hiding show. You sniffled slightly as you tried hard to keep the tears from falling. You sucked in a breath and bowed your head.
"I'm sorry Sensei." You said in a small voice.
"My child, why are you sorry?" He said as he walked over to you.
"I have been hurting your sons." You said squeezing your eyes tight.
"You have done nothing of the sort." He said gently.
"Yes I have!" You said looking up at him.
"I have been causing strife between them, I've ignored them and it's caused them pain." You continued looking back at the ground.
"Y/n... My child. You cannot blame yourself for needing some time apart." He said as he placed a hand on your shoulder.
"But your sons...I've been so selfis-" He cut you off before you could finish
" Yes, they are my sons. But I consider you my daughter, and I care for your wellbeing also." He said smiling softly at you.
"But.." you said looking up at his kind eyes
"Y/n...It is always good to take time to heal." He said with understanding eyes.
"It was my fault." You said trying to hold back tears, it felt like there were bricks weighing down your chest.
"What was your fault y/n?" He said with a questioning look.
" I-" tears began to roll down your cheeks.
"Let it free my child." He said gently.
"Why... Why wasn't I enough?" You whispered. Splinter frowned at your question.
" Wasn't I enough?" You started to sob as you felt him bring you into a warm embrace.
"Shhh, hush my child." He soothed.
"You are not at fault." He stated sadly closing his eyes as he held you.
You continued sobbing as your chest heaved for breath. He held you tight, you felt safe in this moment in his arms. He was your father and he was shielding you from the world.
"Then why did he do it..." You said barely a whisper.
He held you as you cried. The tears flowed until you were completely drained. You laid there on his chest with your eyes closed as he rocked you gently back and forth. He hummed quietly to you as you played idly with the fabric of his robe.
You wiped your tears and snot as you sat up. Closing your eyes you let out a deep breath slowly. You opened your eyes and nodded your head as though you were thinking, but in reality it just felt heavy on your shoulders.
"Donatello." Splinter called out.
"Yes Father?" Donnie replied running into the room.
"Please take y/n home, she needs rest." He said as you both stood up. Donnie bowed and stood by the door to wait for you.
" Thank you." You said softly bowing to Master Splinter
He smiled gently and bowed. You left with Donnie and Master Splinter closed his eyes. His heart broke for you.
"Come my son." He said taking a breath.
Raphael walked out from behind the Shoji screen where he had been crouching. Tear stains on his cheek indicating he had been crying. He knelt before his Father.
"Do you see the consequences of your actions Raphael." Splinter stated more that asked.
Raphael looked at the ground unable to speak, he held his breath.
"Figure it out." Splinter said flatly as he left the room leaving Raph alone, knelt on the ground.
"Hai Sensei." Raphael choked out.
Chapter 7: Three Words
Summary:
You receive notes outside your window.
Chapter Text
The sun shined through your window, waking you up with its warmth. You smiled, and sat up in bed. The sun felt good, you could feel the vitamin D pumping through your body. At least, that's what you wanted to believe.
"Wow." You said with a smile. You slept great last night, 'it has been a while' you thought to yourself.
After you had left Master Splinter last night, you came home and passed out in bed, you had been physically and emotionally drained. You slept solid through the whole night. You felt good, things felt a little brighter. You walked towards the kitchen with a little skip in your step, and headed straight for the fridge.
"Let's see what we got!" You said clapping your hands together.
"Aha!" You reached in a grabbed a carton of orange juice and some yogurt.
You took your breakfast with you to the living area sitting it on the coffee table. You yawned and stretched as you walked towards the record player to put on some music to keep you company.
As you passed the window you noticed a small envelope taped to the outside of the window. You frowned and opened the frame enough for you to reach under and grab it. You opened the note and read it.
" Reasons you're fucking perfect.
Your smile."
You frowned and dropped the letter to the ground. 'Its too early for this' you thought to yourself. You put on some upbeat music and returned to your food. He was not going to ruin your day.
"It me day! You go y/n! " you faked the confidence and finished your breakfast.
You continued on with your morning, doing chores, dancing around. When you noticed another note on the window.
"You gotta be kidding me?" You rolled your eyes retrieving the letter.
" Reasons you're fucking perfect.
Your laugh. "
You sighed and dropped the letter.
"Gotta try harder than that." You mumble to yourself.
As the day went on you kept finding notes on your window, sometimes more than one at a time. They read things like:
"The way you light up when you get excited. The way you hummed when I worked out. Your beautiful eyes.Your cute when you snore.Your funny.Your kind. The way you deserved a king but you took me instead. How you get so damn sassy."
You smiled at that last one. This happened for the next couple of days, and you found yourself waiting for the next note. It was around dinner time, You noticed another one and sighed.
"Seriously Raph, someone's gonna see you." You bit your lip as you picked up the envelope.
" Reasons you're fucking perfect.
You were the only sunshine I ever got to see. "
Your breath hitched and you closed your eyes taking a moment to center yourself once more.
"Damn it Raph." You said quietly as you folded the note and stuck it in your pocket.
As the rest of the night went on you didn't receive any more letters, 'he must have given up' you thought to yourself. You turned on the tv and wrapped yourself in the blanket he made you. You closed your eyes and began to hum to yourself.
There was a tapping on the window and you stopped humming, opening your eyes. You turned towards the window slowly, but no one was there, only another envelope. You walked over to the window and took the envelope walking back over to the couch. You lifted an eyebrow. This time it was different than the others, this was an invitation
"Would you join me for dinner? I'll be on the roof if you'll have me."
You laid back on the couch and covered your face. Do You really want to do this y/n? You sighed and stood up.
"No time like the present." You mumbled as you went to put on your shoes.
You climbed up the fire escape to the roof, and you spotted a small table and chairs. Candles lined the table and there he was. The light reflected off his features. 'Shit' you thought to yourself. You had forgotten how handsome he was. You were tempted to turn back around, but you couldn't let yourself.
You walked over slowly, not making a sound. He fidgeted with something in his hands until he saw you. He jumped up and froze. You both stared at each other, it was like you were in a trance.
You had forgotten how longs it's been since the last time you actually saw Raphael. He looked older, bulkier, tired. You stayed like this for what seemed like forever. Silently communicating through your eyes. He shifted on his feet and held out an envelope. You looked at it questionably, but you slowly reached up and grabbed it. Opening it, you read what was written down.
"You are enough."
That was all the note read. But it was all you needed to make you want to cry. 'You bastard.' You thought to yourself. Don't you know what you do to me?
" I didn't think ya would come." He said quietly.
"Yeah, well...I'm here." You said not looking at him.
" Yeah.." Raph said not believing you came, a shadow of a smile crept across his face as he felt hope.
"You got food? I'm starving." You said motioning towards the table.
" Uh...yeah! Uh, it's a- Pizza." He said in a gruff voice as he ran over to the table to fix you a plate.
"Of course it is." You said under your breath.
You walked over to the table and sat down. He handed you the plate and you smiled politely. He let out a soft breath.
You looked up at him and he froze, he seemed lost in your eyes then he looked away. He let out deep breath and cleared his throat. You watched him as his faced twitched, they way it did when you knew he was thinking. He looked back at you, his face full of sorrow.
" I uh... I-" He cleared his throat once more.
"I... really fucked up babe." He choked out.
"And uh- I- I mean y/n, I guess not babe- I mean..." He struggled over his words, the regret seeping from every word.
Part of you wanted to help him, but quite honestly, the other part of you really wanted to see him struggle and figure this out on his own. You sat there quietly and listened.
"That was the stupidest shit Ive ever don-I'll leave you alone if-" he began to cry.
"I Love you... so- I just- so much y/n.." he paused, and took a deep breath trying to calm his thoughts, you could tell he was getting frustrated from his lack of elegance.
"The words just aren't coming out right." He whispered in such a defeated small voice, you heart broke.
You reached out your hand and placed it on his. He looked up at you and let out a shaky breath. You smiled sadly at him as tears began to run down your cheek. He got down on the ground next to you and held your hand tight in his.
"Bab- y/n. Please give me anotha chance. I promise Ya, I'm going to spend the rest of my life making this up to ya." He said, not even trying to hide the desperation in his eyes.
He was scared, you could tell. You held all the power here, and you knew it. But the problem was you were scared too.
You reached up with your other hand and cupped his face. He closed his eyes and leaned into your hand as his tears flowed down. You rubbed you thumb gently in soothing circles.
"You hurt me Raph. More than anyone, or anything ever has. You made me question myself...made me question my worth..." You paused and took a deep breath.
"Made me wonder why I wasn't enough. Made me hate you." He watched you, shame oozing from every part of him.
"But... you made me fall in love with you a long time ago... and.." the tears began to roll down to your chin.
"no matter how much I tried to hate you... I still... I still love you Raphael." You whispered.
"Im so sorry. So so sorry.. " Raph said over and over until his words became unclear as they melted with his whimpers.
"You have a piece of my heart that I can never get back Raph... and... and I want to make things work." you knelt down on the ground in front of him and made him look at you. You smiled sadly and whipped his tears.
"I forgive you." You whispered.
Notes:
So I know alot of you are wanting to know WHY he cheated, and these are my thoughts.
I'm thinking there wasnt too much motivation behind it, People are flawed, and make mistakes. As horrible as that is, its true. sometimes it just takes two attractive people being alone together, some casual flirting, things like that ,and stuff can just spiral without you even realizing how far you have gone till its happened. I think it was just him not being carful enough.
(Life advice there people! Haha)
But I think maybe I want the story to focus more on the healing and moving on, the emotions of the event, than the actual event itself. Cause in real life you don't always get to know why it happened, sometimes the person who has cheated doesnt even know why they did it. People are flawed, but life has to move on.
I mean thats just my own personal opinion lol:)
ANYWAYS. Thank you guys so much for keeping up and reading and all you wonderful comments! Its so encouraging to me. I have some more chapters brewing in my mind bwahaha. Stay tuned! <3 XOXO

Chapter Text
The weeks went on, and Raphael was the perfect boyfriend. At least, under any other circumstances that would be the case. To any outsider looking in they would have envied the way he treated you, he was on his best behavior, one might say a gem. And had this been a few months prior you would feel the same. But it wasn't.
The past was in the past you would tell yourself, but that didn't stop the memories from hurting. But you were determined to make things work, you had to, no matter how long. You had found a family with the turtles, and you were not willing to let that go. You couldn't.
There were moments when you thought maybe it would be better for you to leave, but you remembered how much you needed them in your life. Those months not talking to them had been one of the darkest times in your life, and seeing them again reaffirmed your suspicion that you needed them just as much as they needed you.
You sat on your couch watching TV with Raphael, tonight had been one of the first nights you were alone together. Up until this point you had made an effort that someone else was always around, you didn't want to hurt his feelings but you just needed the support of another person around. Someone to take your mind off your thoughts. But tonight you didn't have that safety cushion, and you felt vulnerable.
Raph shifted his body and wrapped an arm around your shoulder, he tensed up as he felt you stiffen and shift. You stood up and walked to the kitchen hoping he didn't notice.
"What are ya doing?" He said clearing his throat.
He noticed.
"Just thought some popcorn be good." You made up, as you dug in the cabinet.
"Yeah?" He said watching you carefully.
"Yeah." You said quietly.
"I think that's a good idea" he said standing up and walking over to where you were.
He stood there and watched you as you continued to look in the cabinet. He cleared his throat, and you looked over your shoulder at him.
"Do ya need some help looking?" He questioned with a smirk.
"No. but thank you." you said looking back into the cabinet.
"Oh..okay." He said as his smile faded.
"Do ya...do ya mind if I grab a soda? " he said motioning to the fridge.
"Of course you can." You said with a sweet smile.
Raph grabbed a drink from the fridge and took a sip, he sat the can down and then leaned against the counter watching you still digging through the cabinet. You could feel his eyes on you and you let out a sigh of frustration as you threw some cookies around.
"Y/n..." he said gently
"I can't find the damn popcorn!" You whimper ignoring him
"Y/n." He said placing a hand on yours to stop you from looking.
You froze. You could feel his breath on your neck, you turned around slowly to be met by his intense gaze. The closeness felt both familiar, and foreign all at the same time. He gently brushed the hair from your face causing you to shudder. He slowly placed his forehead to yours, and you closed your eyes. He let out a trembling breath, and you placed your hand on his carapace. His fingers brushed lightly against the skin of your neck giving you goosebumps. You could feel each others breath, Your lips were mere centimeters apart.
"Raphael-" you whispered as a tear fell down your cheek.
You felt him stiffen and step back slowly. You covered your mouth with your hand and looked to the ground, unable to face him.
"I just.. I can't... " you slid down to the ground hiding your face in your knees.
You heard him let out a sigh then sit down beside you. You both sat there in silence.
"I thought you said ya forgive me?" He said sadly.
"I do forgive you Raphael." you said looking up at to him
"Then why-" he said confused
"Raph... it's not that simple." You said looking back at your lap.
"I thought you wanted to work it out." He said shifting where he sat.
"I do." You said sniffling
" What do you want from me y/n?" He said getting frustrated.
"I'm trying Raphael!" You yelled.
"So am I!" He growled.
"I'm trying.." you said as the tears began to flow. His frustration quickly faded as he watched you.
"Babe.." he said reaching out his hand but then retracting it.
"Every time I close my eyes..." you paused and took a deep breath closing your eyes.
"I see you and her." You whispered.
Raphael looked away feeling the shame flood over him. You sighed and rested your head back against counter, wiping your nose.
"I don't know how to fix what I did." He said looking at you with sad eyes.
"I know.." you said softly.
"Then what do you want from me y/n?" He said sounding defeated.
You stayed silent as the tears began to fill your eyes once more. He sighed and stood up.
"What do you need from me?" He said looking down at his feet.
"I need you... to not give up on me. I need you to fight for me Raphael. But right now... I just... I need more time..." You said squeezing your eyes tight.
He nodded slowly, then walked over to the window and stopped.
"I will never stop fighting for you." He said looking over his shoulder.
Then he was gone.
Letting out a deep breath, You wiped the tears that stained your face. You sat on your kitchen floor holding your knees feeling drained. You closed your eyes as fresh tears slid down to your chin.
"If you love me don't let go." You whispered.

Chapter Text
Mikey sat on his bed reading comic books, things at the lair had been tense the last couple of days, even more so than usual. Donnie stayed hidden in his lab most the time, and Leo tried to keep out of Raph's way to avoid fighting. Raph had been on edge lately Mikey noticed, he flipped a page of his comic as he thought about it.
"Maybe I can cheer him up..." Mikey thought out loud to himself.
As if on cue Raph stormed past Mikey letting out a frustrated growl. He paced back and forth.
"Yo what's up?" Mikey said watching him.
Raph let out a low grumble and continued to pace, he looked like a caged animal.
"Sooooo... how are things with y/n?" Mikey asked cautiously.
Raph stopped pacing and glared at him, warning Mikey that he wasn't in the mood for jokes.
"Oooooh, that good huh?" Mikey said wincing.
"It's non of your damn business." Raph grumbled as he began to pace again.
"Okay bro. I just thought maybe you wanted to talk... you know, since you came in here and all..." Mikey said nonchalantly as he went back to his comic book.
Raph let out a sigh and sat on the bed, Mikey pretended to read his comic book as he watched Raphael.
"She won't let me touch her. It's like she's scared of me." Raph said looking at his hands.
"Well you were a mondo D-bag." Mikey replied turning a page.
"The fuck you know!" Raph said jumping to his feet.
"Whoah bro, chill. I'm just saying- wait, you guys haven't touched? Like at all?" He asked his eyes getting big. Raphael let out a growl as Mikey grinned big.
"No wonder you've been a grump!" Mikey exclaimed throwing his comic book down.
"Mikey I'm warnin' ya!" Raph snarled as he tightened his fist.
"Okay, okay! I'm just having some fun." Mikey said holding his hands up to protect himself.
"I just wish.. I knew what ta do." He said frustrated.
"You could always try the Mikey charm." Mikey said rubbing his hands together.
"I'm being serious Mikey." Raph said flatly.
"You're right bro... the Mikey charm isn't really your thing... big angry teddy bear charm...like I'm gonna rip off your arms and make you eat them kinda deal... really not that charming..." Mikey said as he thought about it.
" I should have known betta than to come ta you." Raph said turning to leave.
"No wait! I want to hear the rest pleeeeease." Mikey pouted
"Fuck off, I'll be in the Dojo." He said storming out of the room.
Mikey stared at the empty doorway and let out a sigh. He laid back dramatically on his bed.
"So much for cheering him up." Mikey said looking at his stack of comic books.
He sat up and looked back towards the empty doorway. A mischievous grin slowly crept across his face.
"I could always try a prank!" He said jumping up and running out towards the Dojo.
Chapter 10: This Sucks.
Summary:
You find a surprise in your alley after coming home from a long days work.
Chapter Text
You walked into your apartment, and flipped on the lights. You looked at the bat resting beside the door and let out a sigh dropping your bag to your feet.
"fuck it." You said under your breath as you shut the door behind you, locking it.
"If anyone is in here, go ahead and just kill me please!" You yelled as you threw yourself on the couch.
Your coworkers had been particularly annoying today at work, and you were ready to scream. You worked another double today so it was already the middle of the night.
You closed your eyes as your stomach growled. You were too tired to eat, might as well just go to sleep. You rolled off the couch and turned off the lights, you headed for your bedroom when you stopped.
"What the-" you said confused.
'What is that sound?' You thought to yourself.
You fumbled over to the door and grabbed your bat, you walked around your apartment slowly trying to find the source when you realized it was coming from your window.
You walked over to your window and peered out, your eyes grew big as you realized where the noise originated from. Raphael stood in the alley below, with flowers in his hands singing loud. You dropped the bat and jerked open the window
"What are you doing!?" You whispered as loud as you could while trying to not wake the whole place.
"In your eyes,The light the heat. In your eyes, I am complete. In your eyes..." Raph continued to sing stopping to hiccup every sentence.
"Raphael are you drunk?" You asked leaning farther out trying to see him better.
"Mikey said-" he hiccuped. Then went back to singing.
"Raph be quiet! Someone is going to see you!" You shushed him but he continued on.
"In your eyes,I see the doorway to a thousand churches. In your eyes-" he stopped mid chorus as he passed out on the ground.
"Shit." You hissed running to your bedroom.
You grabbed the blanket off your bed and ran back to the window, you climbed down the fire escape carefully. You walked over to him and winced, he stunk, he had most definitely been drinking.
"You bastard." You said annoyed as you draped your blanket over him.
There was no way you could move him. You kicked him with your foot but nothing. He wasn't going anywhere. You let out a small growl.
"Fuck it Raph, whyyyyy.." you whined.
You were too tired for this. At least now with the blanket no one can see him, you thought to yourself. You pulled out your cell phone and stared at it. You thought for a second before dialing.
"Hey- yeah no, I'm fine....I need your help- no I'm okay Leo, just... it's Raph- yeah he's okay..I guess. Can you meet me in the alley outside my apartment? Mkay, thanks." You hung up the phone and sat down on Raph's chest.
Rubbing your eyes you let out a deep breath. Resting your head on your hands you looked over at the mass of muscle laying underneath you.
"Well this sucks." You let out a sad sigh.
. . .
You climbed back inside your window. you picked up the bat after tripping on it and almost breaking your neck. Leo had come and retrieved Raph, and he seemed pretty mad about the whole situation. You walked to the bathroom and turned on your shower, so much for sleeping right now, the adrenaline was still pumping through you. You let out a sad laugh as you saw you still clenched the bat with white knuckles. You dropped it with a thud and grabbed a towel letting out a muffled scream into it.
"What are we doing?" You said sadly as you stood there.
You dropped the towel and started stripping. Stepping into the shower you let out a whimper as the hot water hit your skin. It felt good, you felt the tension of the day melt away and you closed your eyes.
The water numbed the rest of the world, and in that moment the only thing that existed was the sound of water drops against your skin. You started to taste something salty and you realized that you were crying. No one could hear you here, you were left alone to your own thoughts.
A loud crash interrupted your thoughts and you froze. Someone was in your apartment. You quietly stepped out of your shower and wrapped a towel around you. You left the water running so not to tip them off that you knew they were there. You grabbed the bat, thankful that you had brought it with you, and exited the bathroom as silent as you could.
You heard the floor creak around the corner, and you readied yourself to attack. Taking a deep breath you whipped around the corner and swung the bat with all your force hitting the intruder, causing him to stumble back. You dropped the bat in pain, feeling like you just hit a brick wall.
"Y/n! it's me! " Came the familiar voice as he held out his hands.
"Leo!? What the hel- why are you here? " you whispered remembering how late it was.
"I came back to check on you.." he said wincing as he touched the busted skin on his head.
"Holy crap, I'm so sorry." You said realizing he was bleeding. You led him over to the couch and sat him down.
"Stay right here. I'll be back." You told him as you went to go get your first-aid kit.
He sat there patiently until you returned, you sat the box down beside him and started to clean the busted skin.
"You got a strong swing." Leo said jokingly as you continued your work.
"Shut up." You said pressing a little harder.
Leo chucked, and you let a smile cross your face.
"You should have knocked." You said as you put the bandage on.
"I'm sorry. I was worried about you." He said looking away from you.
"I'm a big girl, I can handle my shit." You said as you walked over to the trashcan to throw away the rubbish in your hands.
"I know. But that doesn't stop me from worrying." He said looking over at you.
"I know." You said quietly.
"Are- ... how are you guys doing?" He said standing up.
You looked at him and opened your mouth, but nothing came out. You looked at your feet and let out a sigh. He walked over to you, and stood there. You looked into his beautiful blue eyes and smiled.
"You have pretty eyes." You said as you yawned.
"Thanks." He said with a chuckle.
"But you're changing the subject. Are you... are you doing ok? " He said gently, crossing his arms.
"Honestly I don't know." You said softly.
Leo's eyes grew big then he looked away. He cleared his throat, and you swore he looked like he was blushing. You stared at him confused until you looked down and realized your towel rested around your ankles. You let out a yelp and bent over quickly grabbing it and covering yourself.
"I-I...I'm sorry." You said feeling your face heat up.
"It's okay." He said with a sheepish smile.
You turned away not able to look at him anymore. You were sure your face was red. 'Why was it so hot in here!'
"I feel so bad-" you kept apologizing.
"Y/n." He interrupted you.
"What." You breathed out.
"It's okay." He said touching your chin and guiding you to look at him.
"Really, it's fine." He said softy.
You stared at him unable to look away. He rubbed his thumb on your cheek in soothing circles, and you let out a whimper. You closed your eyes tight trying not to let the emotions take over. Today sucked. You felt arms around you, and you rested your head on his chest as he pulled you into an embrace. You sniffled as you tried to keep the tears at bay. You rested against his body listening to his heart beat, listening to the rhythm of his breathing. You breathed in sharp as you began to cry. You felt the walls coming down, and the tears started to flow down your cheek, and down his chest.
You felt him place a kiss on top of your head and you stood yourself back up straight. You rubbed his chest where you had laid, trying to clean up the mess you left on him. He let out a chuckle under his breath and gently grabbled your hand stopping you.
You stood there not moving, not looking at him. He reached up and wiped the tears on your cheek. You felt him lean down to you slightly but then stop. You looked up slowly and realized how close you two were.
You made eye contact with him and like a magnet you inched a little closer. He reached up brushing his fingers along the outside of your arm making you shiver. You pressed your body closer to him and he let out a shaky breath.
He leaned down and nuzzled your neck causing you to let out a little moan. Leo began kissing your neck up to your ear, and you placed your hand behind his head. He bit your ear gently, and you let out a little whimper. You turned your head to find his lips, and he met your mouth kissing you deeply.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and he picked you up sitting you on the counter. You moaned into his mouth causing him to growl, which sent excitement down to your stomach. The need in the kiss making it more passionate, you both gasped for air as you hungrily attacked each others lips.
Leo began to trail down your neck to your collar bone. You moaned leaning back on your hands. He sucked and kissed on your chest and shoulders till he reached your breast. He pulled down the towel exposing you to the cold air. You let out a gasp as he bit down on your nipple, he sucked and and teased it with his tongue driving you crazy.
You looked down at him and grabbed his mask tails pulling him back up to kiss you. Your tongues danced together, and he pulled you off the counter, and you wrapped your legs around him. He let out a low growl giving your ass a sqeeze. Leo carried you into the living room laying you down on the couch, he climbed over you and kissed down your body. Fuck this felt good. You thought to yourself. Its been so long since Rap- FUCK! RAPH!
"SHIT!" You jumped off the couch panting.
"Shit!" Leo jumped up looking at you.
"Shit shit shit shit shit." You said closing your eyes tight, hitting your forehead with your fist.
"Y/n! I- .. I-" Leo looked at you desperately trying to find the words to say.
"Shit." You whispered to him on the verge of a breakdown.
"Y/n...I-..I am very sorry for my actions." He said bowing.
He walked over to the window and looked back at you for a second. You looked at him with sadness, and he bowed his head to you, then jumped out the window. You sunk down to the ground and buried your face in your hands.
"Shit." You chocked out.

Chapter Text
Raphael let out a groan as he opened his eyes. He looked like shit. He rubbed his face and sat up slowly taking in his surroundings, he was in his bed. He looked over hazily and froze. You and mikey sat in the floor playing a card game.
You paused and watched Raph as he came too.
"Bro you're awake!" Mikey cheered as he put down his cards.
Raphael grumbled in acknowledgment and looked at you, giving a slow bashful wave.
"How are you feeling Raph?" You said in a tone that Raphael couldn't tell was mad or not.
"like crap." He said with a shy chuckle.
"What uh...what happened?" He said rubbing the back of his neck.
"You got drunk and passed out in my alleyway. Said something about Mikey told you too." You placed your cards on the ground in front of you.
"I did not!!" Mikey exclaimed throwing his hands up.
"I totally told him to do something romantic, NOT whatever the heck it was he did... Bro." Mikey said shaking his head.
You smirked at Mikey, and Raphael put his face in his hands. You looked at Raph thoughtfully and let out a sigh.
"Mikey can you give me and Raph a minute?" You asked looking at the turtle in orange with puppy eyes.
"Sure bruh. Don't kill each other." He said jokingly as he left the room.
You looked over at Raph, and he peeked at you through his fingers.
"Y/n.. I'm sorry.." he said winching.
"I know." You said cutting him off.
You stood up and walked over to him slowly where he perched on the end of the bed. He watched you cautiously. You stopped in front of him and leaned down slowly.
"Y/n-" he said questioningly.
"Shhhhhh.." you hushed him pressing a finger to his lips.
He froze under your touch, like a deer in headlights. You pushed back on his shoulders and he laid back as you straddled him. You leaned down and placed kisses along his neck. He let out a low churr, you could feel your face heating, and you sat back up. He watched you carefully. And you frowned and looked away.
"I-.." your chest rose and fell as you let out a heavy breath.
"What's wrong?" He said, still thrown off by your actions.
" Why did you do it Raph..." you said looking at him.
"I...fuck." He said looking away.
"I don't know.." he whispered.
"You don't know?" You said in annoyance.
"No." he said so quietly it was barely audible.
"Then you 'DON'T KNOW' if it's going to happen again?" You said looking away from him angry.
"NO. It will never happen again y/n." He said sitting up.
He looked at you with pleading eyes and you looked at him studying his face. He was desperate. You grabbed his carapace, pulling him in and attacked his lips with a passionate kiss. You pulled away and you both sat there breathing heavy. You leaned in slowly beside his head.
"If I ever catch you again, I will skin you and the woman alive." You whispered, then pushed him back down.
"Do you understand me?" You said in a threatening tone.
Raph nodded his head, unable to speak. He was both terrified and aroused at the same time. You smirked and let your fingers trail down his shell, then climbed off him walking over to the door, making sure to sway your hips in the most seductive way possible. You looked over your shoulder to see Raph still sitting on the bed with his mouth hanging open. You turned back around and walked out.
"April ain't got nuthin on me bitch." You said with a smirk.
. . .
You woke up and and frowned as the emotions flooded your senses. You wish that was how it played out, you wished you weren't dreaming the whole thing. But it was. And here you were. Sitting in a pile of used tissues remembering the evening before.
Remembering the look on Leonardo's face. Remembering how much pleasure you had felt in the moment. Remembering how much you wished it was with Raphael. Guilt played at your stomach and you felt sick. How could you let that happen? You should have saw it coming...right? Or maybe you wanted it to happen. Did you? No.
"Why are you questioning everything y/n!?" You let out a flustered growl.
"Life shouldn't be this hard." You sad sadly laying back down.
"But it is, so suck it up buttercup!" You said throwing your arms in the air.
"Great. Now you're talking to yourself." You said putting an arm over your eyes.
You sat up and grabbed your phone. You looked at it thoughtfully before deciding to put it back down. You threw off your covers, and left the room... only to come back in, and pick the phone back up. You looked at it, and held your breath as you began to type.
'How are you feeling today Raph?' You sent then threw the phone back down.
You stood there and waited. Bending over to stretch you let out a distorted sound. You sounded like a whale, you giggled as you thought to yourself.
"It's the little things..." you said to yourself with a smile.
"Like how you're losing your mind." You said sadly sitting on the bed.
The phone buzzed, and you picked it up quickly looking at the text.
'I've been better... how are you?" Was Raph's reply
'Same.' You texted then sat the phone beside you as you crossed your legs.
You looked at the wall across from you and stared at the texture. There was a scuff on the wall where Raph's shell had scrapped against it one night. You smiled as memories flooded your mind, You could feel the guilt creeping up, but you also felt the pain. It felt like your heart was in your stomach. You closed your eyes as the warm tears fell. You just want things to be the way the were. Before life shitted on your parade.
You held your breath and listened to the static until your lungs felt like they were going to burst. You opened your eyes and let out your breath, sucking in the new air. You breathed slow and deep as you tried to calm your emotions. You picked the phone back up and texted Raph once more.
'I love you.' You sighed and clicked send. The phone buzzed immediately.
'I love you babe.' The text read.
'What are you doing tonight?' You typed laying back on the bed.
'Whatever you want to do!' Came the reply.
'You want to go for a walk tonight? Its been a while...' you spoke as you typed.
'I'd really love that.' He said, You smiled reading the text.
'Ok:) same park we always go to.' You replied.
'Thank you y/n.' You read his text and placed the phone down rubbing your eyes. They burned. You felt completely drained. You laid there, and listened to your breathing as you began to drift off to sleep.
. . .
Jumping up, you looked at the time. 'You're kidding me.' You looked at the clock. It was almost 6. You felt like death, you must have slept hard all afternoon.
"So much for getting stuff done today." You mumbled to yourself annoyed.
You got up and went to the kitchen to make some food. After looking for something to eat, you decided to just order takeout. 'Why bother being productive at all today?' You thought sarcastically.
After eating dinner, You got ready to go meet with Raphael. The sun had already set and he would be waiting for you at the park soon. You put on a hoodie and jeans and finished getting ready.
You looked in the mirror and sighed. 'Maybe you should have tried harder?' You thought to yourself. You grabbed a dark red lipstick and put it on. Looking in the mirror again you studied yourself. You grimaced at your reflection and wiped off the lipstick with the sleeve of your hoodie. You dropped the lipstick to the floor and turned out the lights. You left your apartment and headed to go meet Raph. You stopped when you heard a sound in the alley beside your apartment.
"Y/n" came the hushed voice.
"Raph? Is that you?" You said walking to the alley slowly.
"Y/n I'm back here." He replied.
"I said to meet in the.." you said confused then stopped as a chill ran down your spine. Something was off.
"I- I forgot my jacket, I'll be right back!" You said spinning around to go back inside your apartment.
You were flung back as a bag was thrown over your head. You were being pulled back into the alley, and you prepared yourself to fight. You took in a deep breath to scream but felt a sharp pain at the back of your head. Your vision begin to fade.
Then blackness.

Chapter Text
Blackness.
Moving. Where you moving? You groaned as you shifted your weight and let out a growl as the sharp pain awoke at the back of your head. What happened? You opened your eyes slowly, what was on your head? A bag! Your heart began to speed up as you remembered what had happened. Then you froze. ' I'm being kidnapped. ' You thought to yourself.
'The hell... what am I supposed to do!? Calm down. Evaluate the situation y/n. The boys trained you for this...' you tried to steady your breathing. And listen. You were pretty sure you were in a truck or van. You were definitely moving... your hands... your hands and legs were tied up!
"Fuck." You breathed out, panic beginning to set in once more.
You heard shuffling and someone coming towards you, they knew you were awake. The bag was jerked off your head, and you closed your eyes as the light hit you. It stung. You peaked one eye open, everything was blurry. Your vision began to clear and you saw yellow... yellow? Then you saw it. All your fear melted away, and was replaced with rage as you looked at the person tied up across from you. Her.
"Fuck, you have got to be kidding me!" You yelled at the ceiling of the van.
"Y/n-"
"NO." You cut her off.
"Of ALL the fucking people I could have been kidnapped with, I get stuck with fucking April O'Neal!" You growled as you looked around.
"Are we in a semi-truck?" You said confused as you studied the interior.
"What is this? Like a joke?" You looked at the man walking over to you.
"Sit still, and be quite." He said as he approached.
"No! I will not! Go ahead and kill me! I don't want to see this bitch anyways!" You motioned towards April with your head.
"Y/n, he's not joking." April said watching the man.
"I don't care! I. Am. Angry. dammit!" You screamed.
"Calm down or else-" the man grabbed your shoulder.
"Calm down!? I'm being fucking KIDNAPPED!" Your voice cracked as you yelled bouncing up and down in your seat.
"I'm warning you..." he bent down to your level, digging his fingers into your flesh. You took a breath.
"Do you have any idea how crappy this is." You whispered to his face.
He let out a small laugh of disbelief. You stared him down, like a mother scolding a child for eating a cookie without permission. He looked at you for a moment, then released your shoulder.
"Just... shut the hell up." He said walking back over to his seat.
You watched him for a moment, but he ignored you. You let out a little groan and turned your attention back over to April. She sat there with her mouth hanging open watching you.
"That was ballsy y/n" April said shaking her head.
You scoffed and turned your head, but secretly, you were kinda proud of yourself.
"No really y/n, that was dangerous. You need to be more carful. He could have hurt you." She said leaning closer to you.
"Like you give a fuck!" You spat whipping your head around to her.
"What?" She said confused.
"Hey! What did i say?" The man yelled at you.
You looked at him and he gestured for you to zip it. You nodded to him and smiled, and he rolled his eyes. Then went back to whatever he was doing.
"Can you honestly tell me you care what happens to me? Because you obviously didn't think about me before this." You whispered aggressively towards her.
"Y/n, how can you say that" she said hurt.
"Oh, don't give me that shit." You said in a low tone.
"Look...Y/n... I- I don't know what to say.. but I'm sorry. I really am. If i could take it back I would." She looked at you with pleading eyes.
" You can say why. " You said tightening your lips.
"What?" She whispered.
"Tell me." You said letting at a heavy breath.
"Why... did you do it?" You said with a shaky breath, trying to keep your emotions from spilling out.
"I-" she looked at you then down to her feet.
"It...just happened." She whimpered.
You sneered and bit your cheek. Nodding your head slowly, you looked at her there. She looked so small. you wanted to punch something so bad. Or cry... or maybe both? You closed your eyes and leaned your head back tapping it gently on the cool metal.
"I didn't mean to do it. I mean.. I didn't know I would.." she said causing you to look back over to her.
"I had a crush on him you know..." she said looking at you.
"What?" You said disgusted.
"A long time ago, before Casey and before you... and that doesn't excuse anything I know. I'm not saying it does... but.. I guess it just explains to me why... I did it. Because I didn't think it would happen. Ever. " She paused thinking.
"April.. you were my friend. And I thought I could trust you.." you trailed off unable to talk without sounding emotional. You wouldn't let her get to you dammit!
"...I know.." she said quietly, then began to cry.
"I just... I wanted to see what it was like. Just once.. I thought no one would know, and it would be okay you know?" She heaved in air as she spoke.
"Haven't you ever had a thought like tha- why am I such a horrible person?" She said as she began to sob.
You stared at her not sure what to do. Your mouth was hanging open but no sound came out as you watched her cry. You didn't know how you felt, maybe awkward? You thought about that night with Leo and then the guilt hit you, and you wanted to throw up. This was all too much for you.
"April-" you tried to sooth her.
"No. let me finish." She said through her tears.
"I want you to know how it happened." She sat up and rubbed her cheek on her shoulder trying to wipe off the tears.
"He was working out, and I was writing, like we always do. I wasn't even thinking about him that way." She let out a deep breath. "And I had this.. big knot in my shoulder... and.. and.." she sniffled, then coughed. "And so... he was massaging it for me... and.. I don't know why.. but.." she began crying again. " I kissed him. And.. and it- it happened.." she started to sob again.
You watched her stunned, unable to look away from the blubbering mess in front of you. You felt numb. You couldn't blink, you couldn't close your mouth. You just stared at her, processing all the information. You could see the scene playing out in your mind, you tried not to think about it but you couldn't help it. You watched it over, and over again. And you didn't feel anything. Just numb.
"I'm so sorry..." she whispered unable to look at you.
"Its.." you swallowed hard trying to sooth your dry throat.
"Its okay." You said feeling cold.
"I'm sorry." She said even quieter than before.
You took in a gulp of air and held your breath till your felt like your lungs were going to burst. You released the breath, and closed your eyes breathing slowly. You felt tears begin to run down your cheek. And you squeezed your eyes tight.
"I forgive you." You breathed out.
"How?" April said quietly looking up at you in disbelief.
"...I don't know." You whispered, sucking in harshly as you cried.
"All right that's enough." Said the man walking over to you two.
"Play times over." He said holding the bags up.
"No." you said shaking you head.
"Too bad, we are here." He said leaning down to put the bag back on your head.
You hadn't even noticed the truck had stopped moving. You looked over to April who was watching you. You had to try to escape. She looked at you and shook her head telling you no. You looked at her for a second, then quickly back to the man. You jumped up and head-butted him, causing him to curse and fumble backwards.
"April! Now!" You yelled hopping as fast as you could towards the door.
"You little-" the man exclaimed reaching out for you. April jumped up and rammed him into the wall.
"Go y/n! Go!" She screamed at you.
You went as fast as you could, and looked back at her as the man grabbed her and threw her towards the back of the truck.
"April!" You watched in horror as the man turned his attention back to you.
You threw your body at the handle trying to open the door. The door swung open and you fell to the concrete floor. You tried to get back up, but you felt a bolt a electricity surge through your body. Your were unable to move as you convulsed on the ground, and your consciousness left you.
Then all was black.
. . .
Casey walked into the lair and saw Mikey on the couch playing video games.
"Mikey what's up!" He said holding up a six pack of beer.
"YO! Bro! Bring that over here!" Mikey jumped up, holding out his arms.
"Yes sir." He said saluting him, and looking around.
"Who ya looking for?" Mikey asked grabbing the case from him.
Before Casey could answer, a loud crash came from the dojo. He looked at mikey and raised an eyebrow.
"Oh brah, you don't want to bother. He's maaaaaaaad bro." Mikey threw himself back down on the couch.
"What happened?" Casey said looking towards the direction of all the ruckus.
"Ooooh. Well..." Mikey let out a hissing sound.
"Y/n stood him up last night, and she is ignoring him now... I don't blame her though." The turtle said as he popped the cap off a bottle.
"What, did they have a fight?" Casey asked as Mikey gulped down the beer.
"Nah man, and as far as I know the date was her idea. And dude get this." Mikey said jumping up.
"Now, she won't even answer any text or calls. Like.. I guess she changed her mind... I don't know." he let out a loud belch.
"Huh..." Casey looked at Mikey as he thought.
"Weird huh?" Mikey sat back down and let out a sigh.
"Is uh...is April here?" Casey asked looking around.
"No man, I haven't seen her." Mikey said picking his controller back up.
"Oh... I was hoping- Mikey, April never came home last night, and she hasn't been answering her phone either." Casey said walking towards the dojo.
"Dude you don't think-" Mikey's eyes grew big.
"I hope it's not the case." Casey frowned looking back at mikey.
"Raph!" Casey said sprinting into the dojo, then ducking quickly to avoid being hit in the head by whatever was being thrown around by Raphael.
"Not a good time Jones." Raph growled breathing heavy.
"I think the girls are in trouble." Casey said stepping over debris.
"What?" Raph said, his demeanor turning softer.
"April never came home last night." Casey said worried.
"Y/n.." Raphael whispered, running out of the room.
"Donnie! Don! " He yelled running towards the lab.
"Whats going on in here?" Leo questioned, his meditation being interrupted by all the noise.
"Something happened to y/n." Raph said panting.
"What?" Leo's face turned to worry, but he quickly recovered and hid his emotions, but not before his hot headed brother was able to notice.
"Don't go gettn yerself all worked up fearless." Raphael sneered pushing past Leo to the lab.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Leo grabbed Raph's arm.
"Don't shit on me Leo, I know 'bout yer interest in y/n." Raph said squaring up with Leo.
" my 'interest' in y/n is her well-being. Just like all of us." Leo said in a low voice, staring him down.
Raphael stood up straight so he was taller. He stepped closer, looking down slightly at him. He rolled his shoulders, and Leo stood straight not backing down.
"Guys! We don't have time for this!" Casey yelled annoyed as he pushed past them to the lab.
"What's all the noise?" Donnie asked as he heard Casey enter.
" We think the girls are missing." Casey said looking at the others as they entered the room.
Donnie looked up from his work puzzled, then jumped up and ran over to his computer.
"Let me trace their phones." He mumbled as he worked.
"Oh no..." he said staring at the screen.
"What is it?" Both Casey and Raph said at the same time.
"Well the good news is... they're together." He said looking over at them.
"That's good news?" Casey said looking at Raph.
"I'm afraid they aren't together on their own accord, I mean unless they purposely smashed their phones." Don said looking at the screen.
"I had to trace their chips." He said as he continued to type.
"Chips?" Casey asked confused.
"Both April and y/n got tracking devices implanted on their person, curtesy of Don." Leo said walking over to the computer.
"My Christmas present to them. If you want you can get one too Casey." Donnie said as he pushed up his glasses.
"Uh..thanks?" Casey replied not sure how he felt about it.
"Do ya think they are gonna kill each other?" Mikey said looking at the screen.
"I really don't think they are the ones we should worry about." Donnie said concerned, turning his chair to look at everyone.

Chapter Text
"Shit!" You burst out as you came too, panting heavily.
You held your head, it felt like someone was digging daggers into your skull. You blinked trying to clear your foggy vision. April sat across from you watching you, her eye lids barley opened. She looked like crap. You probably looked worse you thought to yourself.
"What happened?" You groaned as the pain in your head throbbed.
"You were tasered than passed out." She mumbled.
You shifted and let out a hiss as your back rubbed against the wall, you could feel the burn marks on your skin. What did they use a freak'n cattle prod?
"How many time is it okay to pass out... before I should be worried about brain damage?" You said as you you rubbed your temples
"I don't know, but let's try to stay out of comatose for more than 24 hours, shall we?" She replied closing her eyes.
"Bitch." You mumbled under your breath.
"What did you say?" She asked opening her eyes to glare at you.
"Nothing." You said giving her a sweet smile.
"Right." April mumbled laying on her side.
You looked around the room and analyzed it. Well you weren't in a truck anymore obviously. The walls and floors were concrete, no windows, no furniture, just one door and an air vent to small to fit either of you through.
You both sat on the concrete floor. Your butt hurt, you knew it was the least of your problems but it hurt nonetheless. April had one wrist restraint, and you had one around your ankle. You frowned as you looked at the restraint, it looked very high-tech.
"Why are these so fancy?" You asked puzzled.
" Do you want me to ask them?" April replied sarcastically.
"No." you said disapprovingly.
" I just... these are nice is all. I don't know how to break out of them." You poked at the buttons on cuff.
"I think thats the point." She said tiredly.
Before you could reply the heavy metal door opened wide allowing a young man to walk through. He held a tray with him, walking over to you he set it down. On the tray were several gadgets, but the thing that stood out to you the most was the scalpel.
"What are you doing?" You asked watching him carefully.
"Hold still." He said picking up one of the gadgets.
"No, what is that?" You said trying to move away.
He grabbed your arm and held it out. You tried to pull away from his grasp, but you couldn't. You were too weak from lack of sleep, and food, and on top of that you probably had a concussion you decided. He turned on the device, and to your surprise it didn't hurt you, but merely scanned your arm. You watched him silently as he wrote down things in a notebook.
"Sorry if I hurt you, you had to be still." He stammered as he continued to write.
"It's...it's fine..." you said rubbing your arm where the bruise was already forming.
"I have to remove the device." He said looking back at you.
"I don't know what you are talking about." You said as nonchalant as you could.
"The tracking device in your arm. I have too." He said sternly.
"No." you said firmly "You can't."
"I'm sorry. I'll numb it if you want." He said grabbing a gadget from the tray.
"Why bother." You said bitterly.
He looked at you , and studied you for a moment, he let out a sad sigh and grabbed your arm. You tried to push him back but he shot your arm with the gadget and instantly it all went numb. Your arm went limp in his grasp, it felt like a ton of bricks.
"What did you do to me!?" You said with wide eyes.
"Don't worry, its only temporary." He said as he grabbed the scalpel and began to make a cut.
You looked away unable to watch. You sniffled as you tried to hold back the tears. That was your only hope of the boys finding you, you felt helpless. How would you get home now?
"Done." He said gently as he gathered his things.
You didn't reply to him, and he stood up and walked over to April to repeat the process. When he finished he stood up and went to leave. He stopped in front of you and gave you a sad smile.
"The numbing will wear off in an hour or so ... do you want me to bring you guys some food?" He asked quietly.
You looked over at April, she shook her head yes. You looked back over to him but didn't answer. He smiled at you but you ignored him and looked away. He let out a sigh and turned to leave.
"What's your name?" You asked not looking at him.
"It's..." he paused and turned around to look at you, deciding whether to tell you or not. After a moment of silence You turned to watch him as he thought.
"It's James." He finally replied.
"Well James." You said clearing your throat.
" I like pizza." You said with a smirk.

Chapter Text
Their footsteps were silent as they ran over the rooftops. The city beneath their feet unaware to the 6 foot tall turtles doings flips above their heads. They came to a stop on the outskirts of the city. They stopped and waited for Casey to join them. They stood there quietly in the darkness, fidgeting with their weapons.
"It looks so peaceful..." Mikey said softly looking up at the sky.
"What?" Donnie asked confused.
"The stars..." Mikey continued. " The city, it all just looks peaceful... like everything is golden bro." Mikey frowned, then looked at the ground.
"But it's not... not with y/n gone." Mikey said sadly.
"We are getting her back." Leo said reassuringly "both of them." He placed a hand on Mikey's shoulder.
"No matta th' cost." Raph said looking at Leo.
Leonardo and Raphael exchanged a grim look, communicating silently with each other. They both new what they might have to do to get you and April back.
"No matter the cost." Leo said with a nod towards Raph.
"I think Casey's here." Don said motioning towards the approaching headlight.
Casey pulled his motorcycle up and parked it to the side. He geared up and joined the guys.
"You ready to bust some heads?" He said pulling his hockey mask down.
"Are you?" Raph said cracking his neck.
"Hell yeah." Casey said with a wicked tone.
"We go on foot from here." Leo said walking over to Donnie.
"My tracker says they should be at the shipping docks, in the center area just about...here." He said pointing at blinking dots on the screen.
"Let's move." Leo said as he began to run.
They arrived outside the docks and stopped beside a large shipping container. Mikey misjudged his landing and tripped on a rock causing him to roll into the metal side making a loud rumble.
. . .
A loud noise jerked you awake from your sleep. You looked around to asses if you were in danger. Nothing. April laid across from you sleeping. All seemed quiet and you were the only two in the room. Your heartbeat began to steady once more and you allowed yourself to relax against the wall.
"You're losing it y/n.." you whispered to yourself closing your eyes.
. . .
" Mikey!" All three of the turtles and casey scolded as Mikey stood himself back up.
"Sorrysorrysorrysorry!" Mikey whispered holding his hands out.
"You're gonna wake up the whole damn place!" Raph growled.
"I said I was sorry!" The youngest turtle whined.
"Guys focus!" Leo interjected. "From now on we are in stealth mode, got it?" He said sternly.
"It says they should be ahead of us, just two more containers." Donnie said looking at his tracking device.
"Alright, you guys know what to do. Let's get our girls back." Leo said giving his brothers a nod.
. . .
You sat there with your head against the wall humming to yourself. You missed your apartment. You missed your family. And you missed Raph. You thought about never being able to see them again. What if these four walls were the last thing you ever saw? What if you never saw the sky again? What if... you took in a deep breath trying to flush the painful thought from your head. You heard the latch on the door, and turned to watch it open. Your eyes widened and you let out a gasp.
. . .
Raph opened the latch on the door of the container and swung it open. His eyes grew big and he ran inside.
Nothing.
The container was empty.
"Shit." Donnie said with wide eyes.
Raph let out a thundering growl, and fell to his knees. He began to punch the ground. Mikey ran over and tried to get him to stop, the blood from his knuckles had already begun to stain the ground.
"Damn it!" Casey yelled throwing his mask to the ground. He paced around in a circle holding his head muttering curse words.
"How could this happen?" Leo asked turning to Donatello.
"I don't know!" Donnie said typing in his laptop.
"You don't know?" Leo questioned.
"No! they must have intercepted the- the -the single, it was a decoy..." he said as he frantically continued to type.
"They can do that?! How?" Mikey asked running over to Donnie.
"I don't know." Donnie mumbled.
"Well WHERE are they then?" Leo asked growing irritated with the situation. He wanted you safe, and he wanted it right now.
Donnie looked up from his laptop.
"I... I don't know." He breathed out in disbelief.
. . .
"I can't believe you found pizza!" You exclaimed as James walked through the door holding two plates of food.
"I pulled some strings." He said proudly as he gave you and April a plate.
"Thank you." April said with a warm smile.
"I actually had to get it twice, I dropped the first tray." He said sheepishly.
"That's what that sound was....Woke me up ya know." You said taking a bite.
"Im sorry." He frowned.
"You should be." You pretended to be angry.
"Do you have any family James?" April asked as she ate.
"Yeah, tell us about yourself!" You said readjust how you sat.
"Well-" he was interrupted by another voice.
"What do you think you are doing?" The man said walking into the room.
It was the same man you had tried to escape from on the truck. You hid your pizza behind your back and glared at him. James looked at you nervously then back to the man.
"I- I mean..I was just trying to- I was told to feed them...sir." He said looking at his feet.
"Hmm. Go clean some toilets or something." The man scoffed.
"Yes sir!" James said running out the door. He paused to look back, and gave you a sorrowful glance. He then disappeared out of sight.
"So you are the special one huh?" The man said walking over to you.
"What?" You said looking over to April.
"You certainly are spirited." He said grabbing your arm and yanking you to your feet.
"Let go of me!" You said pushing against him.
"Tried to get away from me huh? Make me look bad?" He said through gritted teeth.
"Get off of her!" April yelled throwing her plate at his neck.
"You little bitch- I'll get you next.. don't you worry." He said with a wicked grin that made the hairs on your neck stand up.
He turned back to you and smiled. He was too close to you and you needed to fix this. He leaned in, and you turned your head. He took in a deep breath smelling your neck , and you whipped your head back hitting him on the side of his head. He jerked back and let out a dark laugh.
"Feisty." He mumbled whipping the blood from his lip.
He grabbed you, and threw you against the wall causing you to hit your head. You blinked rapidly trying to clear the spots that appeared. He pinned your wrist to the wall with his right hand and held your face tight with his left hand.
"Stop it!" April screamed trying to grab at him, but fell to the floor after her restraints pulled her back.
"I'm going to enjoy this." He breathed into your neck. He bit down on your ear lobe hard and you let out a yelp.
"I'm going to fucking kill you!" You growled out.
"Damn you're beautiful." He said jerking your face to look at him.
He forced his lips on yours and you tried to pull away, he dug his nails into your cheek and you felt a warm trail trickle down your face. You couldn't tell if it was bleeding or you were crying.
You continued to fight against him till he stomped on your foot, causing you to scream. He took that moment to shove his tongue into your mouth. You tried to pull away but he was too strong, you could taste him and you wanted to vomit. You bit down hard and he jumped back with a curse.
"You little slut!" He drew his arm back and slapped you across the face.
You panted as you whipped your face. You stood up straight and looked at him fiercely, challenging him.
"My boyfriend is going to tear you apart." You said in a dangerous tone.
"I'm going to-" but before he could finish his threat his phone went off. He answered it and hung up.
"We will finish this another time." He said straightening himself up.
"I'm going to enjoy watching you die asshole." You smirked at him. He let out a laugh and took a step towards you.
"Oh don't worry my sweet pea, we're not close to being done. But for now, he wants to see you." He said backing away from you.
"Who wants to see me?" You asked watching his every move.
"The Boss." He said coldly.

Chapter Text
You closed your eyes tight as the bag was ripped off your head causing your hair to fly in your face. Opening your eyes slowly you looked around.
"Huh..." You said surprised as your tried to blow the hair from your face.
It looked like... an office? Were you in an office? This wasn't the villainous lair you were expecting, it was actually quite nice.
The walls were decorated with fine art, there were plants and books scattered across the room on shelves. A giant Persian rug laid on the spotless floor. In the center of the room was a large expensive looking glass desk, a small zen garden rest on top, beside it set a china cup full of tea you assumed. There were no windows, but the very back wall was covered in flowing water like a fountain. And standing right in the middle, a man with his back facing you.
"Is that anyway to treat our guests Samuel?" The man said turning around to face you.
He was tall with a slim frame, clean-shaven and tidy hair. His voice was smooth and elegant giving you goosebumps. He had perfect posture, and his suit was pristine. His eyes were piercing and his smile disarming, but you knew better than to let your guard down.
"If you would be so kind as to take off her restraints? Also, I would appreciate it if you would give us a moment alone, thank you." Gracefully he walked to the front of his desk.
"So your name's Samuel huh?" You whispered as he took off your restraints.
"What's it to you." He grumbled as he did what he was told.
"Just wanted to know who to address the 'thank you' note to." You said with a smirk.
"Oh, I'm not done with you yet. You'll see." He said smugly in your ear, before leaving you standing alone with the man apparently in charge.
"Please excuse Samuel, the poor fellow can be... zealous." The man said as he crossed his arms.
"Do you always take such good care of your 'guest'? " you rubbed the marks on your wrist from Samuel. The man chuckled to himself then looked at you.
"Please, do have a seat." He said gesturing to the chair in front of the desk. You walked over cautiously and sat down.
"It was very kind of you to come." He said walking to the large, leather seat behind the desk.
"I was kidnapped." You said resentfully.
"Yes... indeed, that does appear to be the case. And I apologize." He said sitting himself down.
"What do you want from me?" You asked watching him.
He looked at you for a moment and thought. A warm smile spread across his face and he reached into the desk drawer and pulled out a file. He slid it across the table to you. You carefully picked it up and looked at him, he nodded for you to open it. The color in your face went pale, and you felt your blood go cold.
Inside the folder where pictures of you and Raphael, and they had been taken over a period of time. Pictures of you and him watching a movie on your couch, pictures of you two being intimate, pictures of you two in your apartment. He had pictures of your fucking apartment. But the picture that made your heart stop was the one taken the night Raphael had asked you to be his girl. You felt sick.
"I've been watching you for sometime y/n." He spoke in a knowing voice.
" Who are you?" You breathed out fighting back the tears.
"I am the future my dear y/n." He said leaning onto his elbows. "But you may call me Brighton."
"Why am I here!" You yelled annoyed.
"Because my dear, you are special." He said gently.
"I'm not special." You said looking to the ground.
"Oh, on the contrary. You are." He said watching you. You fidgeted with the hem of your shirt. You could feel his eyes on you.
"I want to go home." You said looking up at him.
"I'm afraid that isn't possible at the moment. I acquire your assistance." He said straightening his suit jacket.
"You know what Mr. Brighton? Normally when people want help, they ASK. They don't shove you in a van!" You said standing up.
"Yes, you've mentioned the whole kidnapping situation. And like I said, I am extremely sorry for your discomfort." He leaned back in his chair.
"Discomfort? Who the hell do you think you are?!" You leaned over his desk. You could feel your blood begin to boil.
"I'm beginning to sense some hostility." He said matching your gaze with a smirk.
" Ya think?!" You yelled slamming your fist on the desk causing his tea cup to rattle. You watched the liquid inside slush back and forth, and you let out a small sigh.
"What the fuck do you even want?" You questioned straightening yourself back up.
"What I want my dear Y/n, Is to purge this world of the sickness. " he said standing up.
"Sickness?" You asked confused.
"The weaker man." He said walking over to look at the water flowing from the wall. "It is time for the alpha species to rise up, to take the rightful place at the top of the food chain. No more hiding in sewers." He turned around and looked at you with a grin. "I have seen the future y/n, and you are going to help me make it."
"You're crazy." You said shaking your head in disbelief. He let out a low chuckle and adjusted his tie.
"My dear, sanity is relative. Gregor Mendel was considered crazy in his time too." Brighton stood proudly.
"I won't help you." You said defiantly. He let out a sigh.
"It's not a request, you will do as you are told." He said walking over to you.
"Why me?" You said backing away.
" Isn't it obvious?" He stopped and looked at you.
"No. tell me." You demanded.
"Can't you feel it in your body? You're special." He said smiling.
"Stop saying that. I'm not." You watched him carefully as he took a step forward.
"It's clear you are the only one .. Raphael is it? Could mate with." He replied.
" That isn't true..." you said sadly looking away from him.
"Oh tisk, tisk. Please don't look so sad. You my dear, are going to help pave the way of the future." He said spreading his arms wide.
"No." you stood up straight trying to look intimidating.
"Excuse you?" He said putting his arms down.
"I'm not doing it." You glared at him.
"You don't seem to understand, your body for some miraculous reason is the perfect incubator for my purposes. According to our scans you would, and will be able to conceive the brilliant future of this world." Brighton walked slowly towards you and you stepped back.
"I can- You're lying." You glanced at the door, it was unattended.
"My assumption, pardon my french, is all the fucking you and your specimen have encountered in, has slightly mutated you. At the very least, enough so that you are able to conceive. That, or you really are just a miracle." He said with excitement.
"I don't give a damn!" You growled. Brighton's charming demeanor changed into something dark. His smiling face turned into a cold stare and he cleared his throat.
"You have no choice." He said authoritatively
"Like hell I do!" You turned sharply and dashed for the exit. Brighton grabbed your arm and jerked you back.
"Let go of me!" You screamed trying to break free of his hold.
You yelped as you felt the pain of a syringe being plunged into your neck. Despite your best efforts to keep your eyes open, everything started to fade black and you could feel yourself melting into his arms.
"Im so sorry y/n, but unfortunately, request are only a privilege to those who cooperate." He said coldly as he laid you on the ground.
Brighton stood up straight, and smoothed out his suit. He looked at you and let out a sigh.
"I do wish we could have done this the easy way." He said rubbing his fingers through his hair.
He pulled his wrist up to his mouth and spoke into his watch. Moments later the door opened and Samuel entered with two guards.
"Take her back to her cell please." He looked at you and frowned. "Never mind that, take her to a room with a bed. She needs rest." He corrected himself looking at you thoughtfully.
"Didn't go as planned?" Samuel asked smugly motioning to your body on the floor. Brighton rolled his eyes and glared at Him.
"Don't forget your place Samuel." Brighton threatened with a smile, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Yes sir." Samuel swallowed the lump in his throat. He snapped his fingers and the two guards picked up your body, and carried you away.
"Good man." Brighton said giving a small squeeze before removing his hand from Samuel's shoulder.
"She's more...spirited than I thought." Brighton frowned looking towards the direction the men took you.
"What's the next move boss?" Samuel asked watching Brighton closely.
"Now, my dear fellow..." He adjusted his cufflinks. "we wait for the other half of the equation to show up."

Chapter Text
Your eyes jerked open and you shot up from your laying position. April sat beside you on a chair watching you quietly.
"If I friggin get knocked out one more time!" You let out a flustered growl hitting your fist on the bed.
A bed? You were in a bed? You looked around to see where you were. It was a much nicer room than the small concrete cell you had been in, in fact, it was very large. There was a large abstract painting on the wall, and next to it an equally large mirror. A small sofa sat in the corner of the room, beside it a side table with a lamp. You would have almost mistaken this place for a hotel suit except for the huge metal doors latched shut, reminding you this wasn't a pleasant place.
"I'm gonna beat the crap outta someones face..." you continued, mumbling to yourself staring at the bed.
With furrowed brows, you scrunched the sheets between your fingers. You sat there silently focusing on your breathing, watching absently as the material wrinkled in your grasp. Was this a dream? Maybe none of this was real? Maybe, you would wake up any second, and be safe in bed next to Raphael. Raph...
'wonder what he's doing right now...' you thought to yourself. Has he even noticed you were gone? I bet none of them have noticed. I bet they noticed April was missing.... 'No. Stop it y/n. Don't think like that...You know they love you.'
But then again, maybe it would be easier to give up. Maybe you could just stop breathing, maybe death would hurt less than this... You could just stay here with the crazy man. You sucked in a sharp breath, You felt like you were losing your mind. You tightened your grasp and watched your knuckles turn white. You were pulled from your thoughts when you heard April clear her throat.
"You-...are you doing okay?" She asked placing a hand on the bed beside you. You stared at her for a moment then nodded slowly.
"Do you know where we are?" You said looking around the room once more.
"No. They never brought you back to that cell, and when they moved me I was blindfolded... It felt like I was on an elevator at one point though. " She said scrunching her face as she thought.
"Oh..." you said quietly looking at your lap.
"I don't want to stress you out... but.. I really need you to tell me everything that happened." She said gently leaning in closer to you.
"That's right, you're a reporter aren't you?" You said flatly.
"Guilty as charged." She said with a wink.
"He's crazy." You said throwing the covers off your body.
"What kind of crazy do you mean?" April asked giving you room to get up.
"The whack-job wants to create a bunch of mutant human hybrids. He kept calling them his 'alpha species'... he- I don't know, it was just all so crazy. " you said shifting your legs over the edge of the bed.
"Really? Are you sure?" April questioned
"No, I made it up. Thought it'd be funny." You said sarcastically climbing out of the bed.
"I didn't mean- its just-..." she let out a defeated sigh.
"He's insane April." You touched the spot on your neck where Brighton had stuck you with the needle. It was still tender.
"I'm sorry." April said with a sad smile.
"He wants me... to make them. " You said, remembering the conversation you and Brighton had.
"What? Like how exactly?" April asked confused.
"I- I don't know!" You threw your hands in the air. "He said something about mating, I don't know." You answered.
"Hold on, hold on. Just wait a sec-" April began to pace back and forth.
"That makes no sense." She mumbled to herself.
"What?" You asked watching her restlessly.
"Just- Okay, let's assume he creates one, what is he gonna do? Wait around 9 months for one baby? That makes no sense for his plans. Brighton is patient, but not that Patient." She stopped and thought, mumbling things to herself you couldn't hear. She ran her fingers through her hair and began pacing once more. "Besides...it doesn't match his M.O."
"His M.O? What's his- wait, you know him?" You asked feeling your head start to spin.
"I'm a reporter y/n, I know lots of people...besides, he's a very high profile man. I've been investigating him for the last couple months." She trailed off at the end as she continued to think.
"Can you- Please!" You grabbed her arm stopping her movement.
"Just-stop...moving." You let out a frustrated breath. "I need you to tell me what's going on right now."
"I don't know whats going on!" April answered.
"Then why have you been investigatin-" you shook your head and walked back over to the bed.
"He had pictures April." You said sitting down slowly on the mattress.
"Wha- what are you talking about y/n?" April asked watching you.
"He...he has pictures, of me and Raph. In my apartment, on the roof, he has pictures of when we went on a fucking picnic! He's been watching us April... for a long time." You put your face in your hands feeling helpless, you felt so violated.
"I didn't kno- this is worse than I thought." She began to shift back and forth as she gathered her thoughts. "I was following him because I thought he was doing some black market stuff, I didn't know he knew about the boys... I'm such an idiot." She hit her fist to her forehead and sat beside you on the bed.
"I just don't understand any of this." You spoke into your hands.
"Brighton use to work with the government. He specialized in genetics, from what I've been told he was a genius. The lab accidentally blew up, and they thought it was best to let him go." April spoke softly looking at the flooring.
" They fired him? " you lifted your face out of your hands to look at her.
"Mmhm. From what I've been told his brother was killed in the explosion. They had to admit him to a mental hospital because he went..ya know." April made cuckoo sounds gesturing to her head.
"So he is crazy." You said with excitement before realizing you weren't sure that knowledge made you feel any better.
"No..I mean, yes? I suppose? It was just diagnosed temporary madness, he was released with a clean bill of health within a week. I mean, that was years ago. Now, he's built himself quite the empire. He hung up his lab coat, he's just a business man. At least that's what I thought... I should have known better." April hunched over.
"You couldn't have known.." you said gently.
"Why are you so nice to me?" April looked over at you.
"What?" You asked taken back by her question.
"I just- ...you're so..kind. After everything, after all I've done. Why? " she held her arms out in disbelief.
"I..I don't know.." you replied like a small child being scolded.
"I not complaining, don't get me wrong. Its just...I would kick my ass if it was the other way around. " she winced.
You sat there and thought for a moment before replying, why haven't you kicked her ass yet? A ghost of a smile crept across your face as you thought about landing a good punch to her face. April watched you uncomfortably as you let out a little chuckle. You noticed her watching you and your smile quickly faded, you cleared your throat as the violent thought left your mind.
"Honestly, I'm just as surprised as you." You shook your head. "If you knew me before the guys, years ago...I would have dragged you by the hair, through the streets." You chuckled.
"Ah.." April let out an soft uncomfortable laugh.
"I don't know, I guess... I guess after all these years, Master Splinter rubbed off on me, ya know?" you let out a sad sigh wishing he was here right now. He'd know what to do.
"Yeah." April sighed too. "He does have that affect on people doesn't he?" She let out a sad chuckle.
"Yeah he does." You smiled sadly at her.
You thought about your family with the turtles, and Master Splinter. He had become a father to you, and the boys had become your brothers. They had taught you what it really meant to love. And Sensei was the kindest person you had ever met. They had touched your life in so many ways, you couldn't even imagine life without them. Yet here you are, maybe you would never see them again? Maybe your life is over. You sniffled as you tried to fight back the tears threatening to fall. You missed your family. It's funny, they weren't even human, yet they had more humanity than anyone you had ever met. That thought made you chuckle inside, and your sadness was replaced with a burning feeling in your gut. A fire had been awakened in your belly, and you were determined to make it back home. You would see Master Splinter again. You would see all of them. You had to.
"What did you mean by it's not his M.O?" You asked.
"The mans a genius y/n. There's just so many holes in this mating plan, I mean, yeah he could.. maybe I'm wrong. It just seems off." She spoke as she studied the large painting hanging on the wall.
"April. Look where we are, everything about this is off. The man is obviously off his rocker!" You yelled standing up.
"I know y/n, it's just-" she shifted uncomfortably and her facial expression changed for a split second.
"Do you need a hug?" She said sweetly standing up.
"What? Uh..no-" you were interrupted by her wrapping her arms around you. You stiffened, shocked by her actions. "April get of-"
"We are being watched." She whispered in your ear.
"What?" You asked confused at what was happening.
"Next to the painting, that's a two-way mirror." She whispered. "Ahh, doesn't this make you feel more relaxed?" She said loudly.
"Uhm, yeah, it does I guess." You answered out loud. "How do you know?" You whispered back.
"Look at the lights above the frame." She replied, you glanced around her head and your face went pale. She was right.
"What should we do?" You whispered shifting uncomfortably.
"Pretend we don't know about it. We can use it to our advantage." She squeezed you tight then released you.
"Uh, thanks, for that...hug." You said awkwardly putting some distance between you two.
"Do you mind if I?" April asked motioning towards the bed.
"Knock yourself out." You said walking over to the couch. You stopped and turned back around. "Actually, I would advise against knocking yourself out." You said with a wink.
"You've become quite the expert on the matter." She giggled. "How's your head feeling? She asked crawling under the covers.
"Like it's been hit by a freight-train." You replied.
"Sorry." She winced.
"Eh, ya know. Could be worse...I think. Get some sleep." You sat down on the couch and stared at the metal doors.
"Your move Brighton." You said under your breath, crossing you're legs. "I'll be waiting."
Notes:
I can not believe how far this story has evolved, 16 chapters from a oneshot? Thats cray crayyyy! Haha I must be crazy.
Chapter 17: A Time for Rest
Summary:
Splinter takes care of his sons.
Chapter Text
Master Splinters ears twitched as he tried to meditate. The loud noises outside his door had been going on for days without stop. There had been no peace in the lair since you had gone missing. And the rat had had enough, he let out a sharp breath and stood up, straightened his robe.
"Leonardo!" He called exiting the room.
Within a second Leo appeared, running up to Splinter and screeching to a halt. He panted heavily. It was obvious he hadn't slept in a while, there were bags under his eyes, his movements were sloppy, and his color was dull.
"Yes, Father?" He said with a bow.
"Leonardo." Splinter said in shock at his appearance. "You have not been sleeping."
"I ha- No, Sensei...I have not." He said bowing his head.
" You must sleep my son. When is the last time you have rested?" He scolded gently, knowing the answer already.
"Since they took y/n." Leo said quietly.
"Leonardo, you mustn't go without rest. Even the greatest warrior takes time to take care of himself." Splinter said placing a hand on Leo's shoulder.
"I cannot rest Sensei, not until y/n is safe with m- Us again. None of us can." He said looking up at his father.
"All of you are no use to y/n in this condition. You must all rest so you can be prepared to fight. Especially you, Leonardo. You are the leader my son. A lack of sleep will not aid a clear mind." He said firmly.
"Hai Sensei." Leo replied bowing.
"I say these things as your Father." Splinter said with a soft smile.
"Yes Father." Leo said nodding his head.
"Good. Now where is Raphael?" The rat questioned.
"He's in the Dojo." He replied flatly.
"I'll see you in the morning my son." Splinter said kindly yet with authority.
Leonardo bowed to his father and retired to his bedroom. Splinter made his way to the Dojo. As he approached the door he could hear the grunts and forced breathing of Raphael. The rat hummed to himself in thought, then entered the Dojo.
He stopped and watched his son for a moment, Raph didn't seem to noticed his Master. Raphael was training hard, but by the looks of it he wasn't doing any better than Leo. He looked like he hadn't eaten or slept in an eternity. But the thing that stuck out to Splinter the most was Raph's face, the tears mixed with his sweat. Splinters heart broke for his sons. He yearned for you to be back in their home and fill them with joy again. Things were always so pleasant when you were around. You were their balance.
"Come here my son." Splinters voice causing Raphael to jump out of his focus.
Raphael put his sais away and walked slowly over to his Master breathing hard. He dropped to his knees in front of Splinter. He stayed there silently with his head bowed, panting heavily. Master Splinter watched his son, neither of them saying anything. Until finally Raphael broke the silence.
"I don't know what to do Sensei." Raphael breathed out sharply.
"You must rest." Splinter said gently putting his hand on Raph's shoulder.
"This is all my fault. All of it." The turtle choked out.
"And why is that?" Master Splinter questioned.
"The only reason y/n wasn't safe in my arms was because I- ...I should've protected her. I should've been there. She should've been here, here with me. I should've gone out ta look for her, but I didn't Sensei, I threw myself a fucking pity party!" Raph growled through his tears.
"I see." Splinter said thoughtfully.
"She's perfect. Fucking perfect. My life was fucking perfect...but I threw it all away Sensei." Raphael began to sob.
Splinter looked at his son kneeling at his feet. Watched his shoulders rise and fall as he wept, his chest heave as he struggled to suck in the air. This was a rare sight, and Splinter's heart was heavy to watch it. It was an emotion Raphael would never show to his brothers, only Splinter had ever been trusted enough to witness Raph in his vulnerable state. Enough was enough.
"My son, stand up." He instructed. Raphael stood slowly to his feet, all the while never looking away from the ground.
"Life will always be full of moments we wish we could take back. There will always be things we desire that we should have done differently. But you cannot change your history, you can however, learn from it. And that chapter of your life is finished, now it is the present." Splinter spoke emphatically.
Raph stayed silent and refused to look at his father as he spoke. The shame he felt was too strong to have a pair of eyes look into his own, especially not his fathers eyes.
"Raphael, do you love y/n?" Master Splinter asked sincerely. Raphael's head jerked up surprised by the question.
"I don't think she wants me anymore." Raph shook his head sadly.
"Raphael! That is not what I asked." Splinter scolded. "Do you love her?" He asked sharply.
"Yes, I would die for y/n Sensei." Raphael said softly.
"Then, my son, there is nothing else that matters." Splinter said firmly. "What matters now is not what you should have done, but what are you going to do?"
Raphael grunted, and slowly nodded his head. He let out a deep breath, and rolled his shoulders relieving some of the tension. He would never admit it, but Raph cherished the guidance his father would give him. Splinter had the power to sooth his inner beast, and chase away his demons. His voice seemed to make the world make sense, just like when he was a kid. He was Raph's hero, even if he would never find the words to say so.
"Thanks dad." Raphael grunted quietly.
"Things will look better in the morning, rest now Raphael." Splinter said lovingly, then left the room.
Raphael stood there by himself looking at the ground. He closed his eyes and breathed in a sharp breath. How could he rest knowing some creep had you? His phone went off with a loud sound causing him to jump, he picked it up and answered it.
"Hello?" He said in a gruff voice.
"Raphael?" The voice on the phone asked. Raph's eyes went wide and his heart started to pound.
"Y/n!? Where are you babe!? are you okay?" He answered quickly.
"Raph! I'm-" the voice was cut off and replaced with a new one.
"Hello there, Raphael." It said warmly.
"Y/n!" Raph yelled into the phone.
"Y/n is currently unavailable to speak at the moment, you will have to converse with me I'm afraid." The man said.
"If you touch a single hair on her head, I swear I'll rip you apart limb from limb!" Raphael growled.
"Oh, please. There will be no need for that. I'll tell you exactly where she is." He replied.
"Tell me where she is you creep!" Raph demanded.
"Only if you say please." The man said with a smirk in his voice.
"You fucking tell me where she's at right now." Raphael said in a low voice.
"Oh, my. Someone has a temper." The voice said with a chuckle. "Alright, I suppose I can. But there's only one condition."
"What?" Raph growled out.
"I require you to come alone." Was the man's reply.
"I'm not taking orders from you." Raph scoffed.
"Tisk, tisk. I was so hoping you would be more cooperative. Well unfortunately, I suppose our business is done. Good bye." The man said.
"Wait!" Raphael yelled holding onto the phone with both his hands. He held on to the phone for dear life as if it was you in his hands, and he couldn't risk losing you forever. "I'll do what ya want."
"Good boy, I knew you would cooperate." The voice replied satisfied.

Chapter Text
You jerked awake to the sound of a blaring alarm. Jumping up in a haze you rubbed your eyes trying to get them to focus quickly. You must have fallen asleep on the couch. You looked around the room trying to evaluate what was happening, the lights were out. The only source of light came from the illumination of the flashing emergency lights, bathing the room in flashes of amber glow. You worked your way slowly over to the bed, managing to stump your toe along the way.
"Ow!" You yelled grabbing your foot and rubbing little circles around your toe.
"Shit y/n..." you grumbled to yourself as you reached the bed.
You looked at the lump of covers in the blinking lights, and buzzing sirens. 'Damn, this girl could sleep through anything.' You thought to yourself. You grabbed the covers and jerked them back.
"April, get up! we gotta find out what's go-" The amber lights illuminated the bed and your eyes grew big.
April was not in the bed. You're heart began to beat quickly, you ran to the door and started to pound.
"Hey! Hey! Open the door! What's going on!?" You screamed as you continued to beat the door with your fist. "Hey! Open up!"
"Everything is fine, don't panic." Came the voice on the other side of the door.
"What have you done with April!?" You hit your palms on the door.
"Your friend is safe." The voice replied.
"What do you mean she's safe? What is going on? Why are there alarms going off?" You tried to yell over the sound.
"Please y/n- Everything is fine, don't worry about the alarms. They should be over soon." The voice stammered, it was familiar, friendly even.
"James?" You asked uncertain. "Is that you?"
No one replied. There was the sound of a latch being moved and a small window slid open on the door, just enough for you to look through. It was him. He didn't look at you, he only stood there turned away from your gaze.
"James, what's going on?" You asked through the window.
"I- everything is fine ma'am." He replied.
"Stop saying that. Tell me what-" your eyes widened when the light flashed, allowing you to see him.
"James, what happened to your face?" You asked concerned.
He looked at you, then turned back away. He had a black eye, it was swollen to a point where there was no way he could see out of it. His lip was busted and it looked painful. And his ear looked like it had had better days.
"Samuel." He said bitterly.
"Wha- Why would he do this?" You furrowed your brows in anger.
"He said I- For being nice to you..." James said quietly. "He said I was getting too friendly."
"You're joking?" You breathed out appalled.
James replied by shaking his head slowly, not looking at you. The alarms stopped and the sudden silence made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. You had almost gotten use to the noisy sirens, now, you felt you could hear your own heartbeat. The lights were still out, though the alarms had stopped. You stood there quietly in the dark.
"I'm so sorry James." You whispered.
"It's okay." He said gently. "I'd bring you pizza anytime."
"What?" You pressed yourself to the door so you could hear better. "Was that a joke?"
The lights flickered back on. James had moved towards the little window on the door, his face was mere inches away from yours. Startled, you jumped back away from the door.
"Please leave." He said, panic on his face.
"What?" You breathed, trying to calm your heartbeat back down.
"You have to escape. You can't stay here y/n. Please...please escape." He pleaded.
"Help me." You stepped closer to the door. 'Maybe You do have a chance y/n!' You thought to yourself.
"I-I-I" he stammered.
"James, please, you can help me escape." You begged.
The sirens started back up again, you flinched as the loud sound intruded your ears. You heard someone screaming, and James' uninjured eye grew wide with fear.
"I have to go!" The young man exclaimed looking behind him.
"Wait!" You yelled.
But it was too late. He quickly slid the window shut, closing it in your face. You heard it latch, and then he was gone.
"Wait! James come back!" You yelled, beating on the door.
"Come back!" Your beating slowed in pace and you breathed in deep trying to calm yourself.
"Come back." You whispered, sliding down to the ground.
You held yourself, resting your chin on your knees. You felt yourself shaking, and you let out a heavy breath. The tears began to flow down your cheek, and you closed your eyes wishing you were anywhere but here. The contrast between warm tears and your cold skin made you giggle for some reason, and you tilted your head to the side. 'Stay with me y/n" you said amused.
"Please stay sane." You said softly to yourself.
You stared off into space. You could feel yourself slipping, and there was nobody here to catch you. You were alone, all alone. You felt numb. You rested your head back on the door and let out a giant sigh. Your eyelids felt heavy and you could feel sleep tugging hard at you. You closed your eyes.
"Please...come...back..." you whispered.

Chapter Text
The rain drizzled down Raphael's shell as he ran across the rooftops. He shivered, even though his muscles were on fire. It was a cold night and the rain didn't help, he wouldn't be surprised if it started to snow.
He finally slid to a stop after what seemed like an eternity of running. The area where the man had told him to go was a shipyard on the other side of the city. This place was not well lit, and it gave Raph a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. 'Maybe I shouldn't have come alone.' he thought to himself as he grabbed the sais from his belt, and prepared himself for an attack.
Nothing.
He walked around hesitantly, looking for signs of anyone, but nothing. Every now and then a stray cat would appear, but then run off when it would see Raph. He waited around, checking his phone every couple minutes. It was half an hour after the meeting time and there was still no sign of anyone. Raphael let out a frustrated growl and stabbed his sai into the wall of the metal shipping crate. His phone rang and he answered it with a grunt.
"Temper, temper." Said the man he had spoken to earlier. "Do you always stab things when you're angry?"
"I'll show ya a temper." Raph threatened.
"Now, now, there is no need for that." The man said with a chuckle.
"Where are ya?" Raph growled.
"Waiting for you, my fine specimen." He said with an eerie tone.
"What are ya talk'n 'bout. I've been here!" Raph grabbed his sai from the crate and held it tight in his hand.
"I know." Said the man with a laugh. "I've been watching you. I was curious how long it would take you before you gave up and left."
"Enough games! Where's y/n! " Raphael let out a roar into the phone.
"Patience." The man said than hung up the phone.
Raphael yelled towards the sky, the rain continued to fall on his skin, and he dropped to the ground pounding his fist into the concrete. Bright spotlights came on from all directions and Raphael jumped up.
"Always so dramatic." The mans voice now echoed over a speaker.
Raph squinted his eyes trying to see, but the lights blinded him. He wanted to charge but he couldn't tell where the voice was coming from. He paced around the area unable to get out of the blinding lights. He felt like a cornered animal.
"Face me ya coward!" Raph growled.
"And let you rip me apart? I'd much rather us work together." The voice said.
"Give me back y/n, and maybe I won't tear ya limb from limb." Raph spun his sais in his hands trying to figure out where the voice was coming from.
"Don't you fret Raphael, you will see y/n soon enough."
Raphael felt a sharp pain in his shoulder as a dart penetrated his skin. He pulled it out quickly and growled. Three new darts stuck into him, and he felt the ground begin to spin.
His adrenaline kicked in and he ran only to be jerked back as a net flung on top of him. He jumped up groggily as he tried to untangle himself. An electric shock rang through his body causing him to convulse.
The net electrocuted him as it began to shrink, tangling him tight in its grasp. His vision began to flicker as he tried to fight consciousness. A dark shadow loomed over his body as he convulsed on the wet concrete. The man leaned down to look at Raphael. He pressed a button on a controller he held in his hand, and the electricity stopped surging through Raphael's body.
Raph closed his eyes as the pain subsided, the rain cooling his skin that had felt like it was on fire. He breathed slowly, and raspy as the net around his body squeezed tight. His vision faded as he began to drift, and the darkness took him as he passed out.
"Soon enough." The man whispered into Raph's ear.

Chapter 20: Must Be Strong
Summary:
Leonardo tries to meditate.
Notes:
So in the new movies there is a part where you can see some stuff on Donnie's goggles, and you can see that Donnie monitors all his brothers heart rate. I think that is cute on so many levels.
So this chapter is just mostly what Leo is on his own, his doubts and fears when there is only him and the silence of loneliness. I wanted to dive some more into our fearless leaders mind, see some of his demons and his not so perfect state, because lets be real, no one is perfect and life/sorrows can wear on us all.
Anyways, enjoyed! XOXO

Chapter Text
Leonardo took in a deep breath as he tried to tame his thoughts. It was late in the night, or maybe early morning? Honestly, he couldn't tell anymore, time seemed to move differently since you had been gone. He sat on his bed, eyes closed, hoping that meditation might help him sleep. But every time he would fill his lungs with air, he wanted to scream. He wanted you back, he wanted you safe... he wanted you in his arms.
He shook his head trying to clear his mind. He was of no use to his team if he could not control his mind. He needed to be strong, he needed to lead.. he needed you... your smile... the way you laughed... the way you lit up a room. The way you lit up his world- 'NO.' Leo let out a frustrated growl as he jumped to his feet.
He paced around in a circle. He pounded his head with his fist, he could not think of you like that. He would save you, but your place was by his brother's side. Not his. And to his honor, he would bring you back for just that. To be with Raph.
Leo fell to his knees and let out a shaky breath. He was dangerously close to the edge of sanity, he could feel it. He was slipping, and he needed to gain control. He needed control of this situation, but he had none. He desperately wanted to have the answers, but he was lost. How could he find you? He could no longer focus, he never slept, he was becoming sloppy both mentally and physically. And he knew it. He would never admit it to his brothers, but he was falling into a dark place and he needed a light. Maybe he wasnt fit to lead- 'No.' he thought to himself once more.
"You are the leader Leonardo." He said firmly, standing up.
He walked over to his bed and lay down. He released a long deep breath, and for a moment his thoughts were calm. His heart was peaceful, and he could feel the sleep tugging at his exhausted body. But before sleep could claim him, flashes of you being put through horrible scenarios played in his mind. He covered his face with his hands and sobbed through his gritted teeth.
"Fuck." He breathed out.
Sitting up he composed himself, wiping his wet face. 'Must be strong.' He repeated this in his mind. It became his mantra, his prayer, his hope. His eyes wondered to the clock he hung on the wall. He scoffed at himself remembering when he had found it so long ago. His childhood self bringing it back so excited to have something from the outside world. So hopeful that one day they could be out in the open.
"Not so great up there is it?" He said bitterly to himself, mocking his childhood memories.
He watched the clock as it moved, his heartbeat slowly falling in line with the ticking sound. The rhythm was cathartic, he swore the beat was a sad song, but he couldn't stop listening. It awoke a hope deep inside, and he could feel himself gaining control of himself once more.
Donatello came running into the room, Leo turned his head to watch his brother. The look on Donnie's face made Leo's stomach turn as he waited for the bad news. He prepared himself for the worst. You must be dead.
"Donnie what's wrong?" Leonardo asked standing up.
"Its Raph." He answered panting heavy. Leo let out a breath of relief that it wasn't you, then his face turned to concern as it clicked what Donnie had said.
"Donnie where is Raph?" Leo question
"I- I don't- I don't know..." Donnie stammered.
"You don't know?" Leo started walking to check for him in the dojo.
"But- Leo! Stop! " Donnie followed after his brother. "It's his heart rate, Leo, it's-it's dangerously low." He said, Worry etched in his voice.
Leonardo looked at Donnie for a moment mulling the words over in his brain and what they meant. Leo nodded his head.
"Wake up Mikey, gear up." Leo said seriously.
Donnie nodded and ran for where his brother slept. Leo went to get his gear, his brothers soon followed.
"We will searc-" Leo was cut off by Casey running into the lair.
"Not now Casey, Raph is missing." Leo turned back to face his brothers to finish his instructions.
"Uh dude." Mikey eyes widened, pointing behind Leonardo.
Leo turned around and his mouth parted open as his eyes fell on the spot where everyone's attention was.
April O'Neil.

Chapter Text
Your heart sunk as the door opened, Samuel walked into the room with two other men and you knew it was time for another round. It had been going on for the last couple days, at least you thought it had been days. You couldn't tell anymore, you felt as though you had been here for an eternity, the memories of your time spent before all this were slowly fading. And now those memories were being replaced with new ones, ones of pain and agony. You were becoming a hallow shell of the person you once were, and that almost hurt more than the physical pain. Almost.
"Step outside for a minute boys." He ordered the other two men and they did as they were told.
"No." You whispered shaking your head as tears began to form.
"Hush now my darling." Samuel cooed as he pushed you against the wall.
"Please." You whimpered pushing at him.
"That's right, beg for me." He whispered wickedly in your ear.
You could feel him breathing heavily on you, his closeness made you sick at your stomach. He licked up the side of your neck and you froze.
You retreated in your mind and tried to figure out what to do, you were too weak to fight, and running wasn't an option. You were brought out of your thoughts when you felt his hand running up your inner thighs.
Instinct kicked in, and before you could think you kneed him in the crotch and he doubled over. You stumbled back away from him knowing that he was going to be pissed now. You quickly looked around trying to find a place to escape but there was nowhere to go. Samuel shot up quickly, tackling you to the ground.
"You dirty bitch!" He growled slapping you across the face.
You were struggling against him trying to wiggle out from underneath his bulky form. He reached behind him and grabbed a large pocketknife, he held the blade to your throat. You stiffened.
"You fucking whore, stop moving, you hear me?" He said through gritted teeth.
With his free hand he started to roam your body, you wanted to crawl out of your skin. He got to your waistband and let out a low chuckle, he put his hand down your jeans and you chocked back your tears. You would not let him see you cry.
"That's it. No more fighting me you filthy cunt." He removed his hand and started for his belt. You looked to the side to see James running in wide eyed. He looked at you and Samuel, then back to you. You looked at him with pleading eyes.
"Si-uhm- Sir." James stuttered taking a gulp of air.
"Not now runt." Samuel snapped back.
"Sir- Brighton wants-" James was cut off by Samuel pointing the blade in his direction.
"I said not fucking now boy! Im gonna mess up the rest of your face if you don't watch yourself!" Samuel yelled.
You watched James flinch at Samuels words, and you looked back to the yelling man on top of you. You took a deep breath, letting all the rage gather in your stomach and let the adrenaline kick in. You jerked up, causing Samuel to fall back. You crawled back away from him, before he could do anything you kicked him in the stomach. He growled than fumbled forward crawling after you and you quickly stomped on his hand causing him to drop his knife, along with a stream of curses. You picked it up, and he lunged towards you. You jumped up slicing the side of his face on the way up. He cupped his face as blood trailed down his hand dripping onto the floor. You looked at the blood on the blade then back to him and contemplated lodging it into his throat. Your hands shook. The adrenaline mixed with fear and rage ran through your body, making you tremble as you stood there in an attack stance. You took a step towards him.
"Don't you ever fucking touch me again!" You screamed holding the blade towards him as he backed away slowly.
He whistled and the other two men came back into the room. You stepped back slowly till you hit a wall, there was no where else to go. You eyed the doorway behind the men, maybe you could make it. 'Think y/n, think!?" You began panicking on the inside. A sharp pain pricked your chest and you looked down to see a dart sticking in you. You yanked it out and looked back up at the men as your vision began to melt.
"Shit." You fumbled sideways then passed out on the floor.
. . .
"What's going on Casey?" Leo asked quietly as they stood in the kitchen. Donnie was in the lab running test on April.
"Dude, I honestly have no idea. She just showed up." He said in disbelief.
"That doesn't make any sense Casey." Leo whispered unsure of this whole situation.
"You are telling me! I swear bro, she was just...there. Like magic." Casey said making magic gestures with his hands.
"And she hasn't said anything?" Leonardo asked.
"Nah man, she hasn't said anything." He replied leaning back on the counter.
"Guys." Donnie walked into the kitchen.
"Donnie, how is she?" Casey asked concerned.
"She...she's had some trauma." Donnie said clearing his throat.
"What do you mean trauma Donatello?" Leo asked stepping towards his brother.
"She has no memory Leonardo." Donnie said grimy.
"What do you- like amnesia?" Leo questioned.
"Possibly, but I fear her memories might not ever return." Donnie replied solemnly. "You can go see her now Casey." Donnie said with a sad smile.
Casey let out a stressful sigh, He rubbed the back of his neck as he thought. He nodded slowly and left the kitchen. Leo followed but Donnie grabbed his shoulder holding him back. Leonardo looked at Donatello with a questioning gaze.
"Leo...I think her memory was wiped." Donnie said in a hushed voice.
"What- how do you know?" Leo looked at his brother.
"Her brain was fried Leo, I'm surprised she remembers what she does. There is scarring all over the place. Quite frankly, we are lucky she's not a vegetable." Donnie stated fidgeting with his watch.
"Why would they do that?" Leonardo flinched as he thought about it.
"I don't know." Donnie replied. "That's not the only thing Leo..." he said looking up at his brother.
"What?" Leo asked trying to figure things out.
"Well... after I did some examinations- ...it is very clear she was- ...they violated her." He looked to the ground.
"You mean-" Leo couldn't finish the question, Donnie nodded and looked at Leonardo sadly.
"They are bad people Leo." Donatello whispered.
Leonardo started to pace, he could feel his anger start to rise and it took every ounce of patience he had not to explode. He stopped in the middle of the kitchen, his nostrils flared as he tried to keep the boiling rage down. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath to steady his heartbeat. He stood there for a moment not moving, donnie watched him intently. He had never seen his brother like this. Leo straightened up and took in a sharp quick breath. He turned around and faced his brother.
"Find them." It was a command.
. . .
Your lungs burned. It felt like every single
nerve in your body was on fire. What where they doing to you? You tried to move but the leather straps held you tight to the table. You had woken up here, not quite sure how it happened. Closing your eyes tight, you tried to focus on the beeping of machinery hoping that would distract you from the pain. You tried to hide deep in your mind like Sensei had taught you, but it didn't lessen your suffering. You found yourself wishing for the sweet relief of death. Whatever they were pumping in your veins at the moment felt like acid, it circulated throughout your body igniting your nerves with pain and sending ripping tremors through your core. You wanted to cry but there were no more tears, you had used them all.
"Shhhhhhh." Whispered a mans voice.
You felt a hand stroking your forehead and you opened your eyes. It was him. Brighton stood watching over the workers, he was in deep concentration.
"You are nearly finished." He said under his breath as he focused on the monitors.
It felt like a bolt of lightning struck you, and you gasped for air. You couldn't manage to get a full breath no matter how hard you tried, you felt your lungs squeezing and you began to wheeze. Your chest thrusted up against the straps as you started to convulse, something was shoved in your mouth, and you felt hands hold you down. Then without warning you felt no pain. You felt light, like you were floating through clouds, and you smiled as you drifted off into nothing.

Chapter Text
You screamed as you tried to untangle the web of sheets around your body. You couldn't breath, you needed to be free. You took all your strength, and ripped off the sheets with a growl. Falling limp you panted exhausted. Where were you?
You looked around, half your body was on the ground the other half still resting on the bed. You rested your head against the floor. You were back in the room where they kept you, the room where they thought they could watch you in secret. But you knew. Behind that mirror was probably Samuel himself. The thought of him left a vile taste in your mouth.
A thought shot into mind, what had happened? How did you come back here? The last thing you remember was that table, the pain...'Maybe it was a cruel dream!' You pulled yourself back onto the bed. Frowning you noticed the burn marks on your skin where an IV must had been placed. It wasn't a dream, it had happened. You shuttered remembering the pain.
"What did they do to you y/n?" You mumbled tracing the veins on your arm gently.
You laid back on the bed and closed your eyes. Wrapping your arms around yourself you began to hum. You were going to die here. You were so tired, it would hurt less if you just gave up. The boys could survive without you, they had done it years before they knew you. Who were you kidding? It's not like they really needed you. They could find someone new.
Letting out a sharp breath you fought back tears. You continued to hum mindlessly as you tried to push those thoughts out of your head.
"That's poisonous thinking y/n." You whispered.
You thought back on your life, how you got here, choices you'd made. Mistakes... but also the good things you had done. The joyful moments you have had. The long nights of video-games with Mikey, training with Leo. You missed Casey and how he always knew just what to say. Fuck you missed him. You missed Donnie and his dorky laugh, he always smelled like metal. A strange thing to miss, but at this moment that smell was something you thought about. You smiled thinking about Master Splinter, you longed for a cup of his tea. You thought about Raphael. You thought back to that night, the night you had met him. He was your knight in shining armor that night.
"Bastard." You mused to yourself.
You were jerked from your thoughts as the alarm system started up. A loud crash sounded. It sounded like a battle was going on. A scream, then a thud against your door. You jumped up out of bed confused. Was something throwing bodies around?
"The fuck was that?" You mumble, running over to the door.
You placed your ear against the metal trying to hear what was going on, the alarms were so loud you thought you might go insane. You jumped back when something else was thrown against the door causing a crashing sound. Your heart was beating fast from the scare. Maybe you should just go back to bed. 'Not my problem' you thought to yourself. You started to walk towards the mattress when you heard another crash followed by a loud growl. Your eyes widened and you froze. 'That sounded like-'
"Raphael!" You screamed running to the door.
You put your ear to the door to listen. Damn this alarm.
"Shut the fuck up!" You threw your fist in the air at the flashing lights.
Putting your ear back to the door, you let out a gasp when you heard the familiar growl again. A giddy laugh slipped from your mouth, and you began to pound on the door.
"Raph! Raphael! I'm in here!" You screamed.
"Y/n!?" Came the reply.
"Raph!" You yelled. A new hope springing inside you, he came! He came for you. You couldn't hold back the tears as you continued to pound on the door.
"Babe! I'm-" He said with a grunt, then silence.
"Raph?" You furrowed your brows.
The alarm stopped and it was quite. Nothing. There was no more fighting on the other side of the door, in fact, it didn't sound like anyone was there at all anymore.
"Raph!" You were starting to panic.
"No." you breathed out. "Raphael!?" You beat on the door again but no answer.
stepping back you shook your head. 'No.' you pulled at your hair, and crumpled to the ground with a scream. Your breath heaved, and you closed your eyes tight.
Fire. You felt a fire grow in your belly. You weren't giving up without a fight. You looked around at the room and spotted the mirror. Standing up, you marched over to the mirror and banged your fist into it.
"Give him back!" You roared.
You turned around to survey the room. 'The chair.' You grabbed the chair beside the bed and carried it over to the mirror. With a growl you picked it up over your head and thrusted it at the glass causing it to shatter. You tried to turn your body away from the raining shards of mirror coming down.
You laughed looking at the hole in the wall. April was right, there was another room. You grabbed the bedding from the floor. You put it on the mirror frame in an attempt to make a barrier from the sharp edges. You carefully climbed through the opening cursing as the glass cut your hands.
"Shit." You said through gritted teeth and you jumped down the other side. You pulled a piece of glass out of your palm and squeezed your hand tight.
You looked up at the doorway. You walked over and peaked outside. It looked like a warehouse? There was nobody out there. You stepped out and began to run. You didn't know where, but you weren't staying here. You passed a hallway and stopped. Dim lights illuminated the hall, doors lined the walls. You wanted to just keep running, but what if Raph was in one of those rooms.
"Fuck." You groaned to yourself as you took a step into the hall.
You walked slowly, trying not to make a sound. You heard someone coming, quickly you stepped inside the first door crouching down low. You held your breath as you heard footsteps outside.
For a moment you thought they were going to open the door, but after pausing outside for a few seconds, they continued on their way. You sighed leaning your head against the wall. You looked up to see where you were. 'A lab?' You thought to yourself.
The lights were off but the glow of machinery lit enough for you to see. You stood up and walked. Large capsules lined the wall, it looked like giant lava lamps you thought to yourself. The glow of the liquid was memorizing. Test tubes covered the tables, and in the center was a big tank. You walked over to it and squinted your eyes to see what was inside.
"Hooooly...crap." You breathed out. It looked like floating body parts. You backed away slowly.
"What the-" you bumped into a table.
You turned around and saw a pile of folders. You picked the first one up to flip through. They were full of photos. You looked at the pictures inside confused, across the top stamped failed. They were pictures of people, deformed and terrifying. Test subjects you assumed. Some pictures of only pieces of people, you let out a disgusted groan. Putting it down, you picked up another folder and opened it. Your blood ran cold. You dropped the folder and backed away.
"What the fuck." You breathed out. Your back hit something solid and you turned around.
You had backed into one of the capsules. You held your hand to your mouth to keep from screaming as you saw what was inside. That thing, it looked like...you.
"It's...me." You began to shake.
You ran unsteadily to the other capsules, all of them, they all had people inside. Some had missing body parts, some disfigured. One was missing its skin. But they all resembled you. You felt light headed.
"Fuck." You whimpered. You couldn't take your eyes off them. They haunted you. The lights came on and you jumped out of your skin.
"Tisk tisk." Came a cold voice.
You twisted around quickly. Brighton leaned against the doorway. You stared at him, unable to speak. He looked as though he was thinking. He looked at you like he was disappointed. His gaze met the ground and he scrunched his eyebrows together. He looked like he was wrestling with his thoughts. Letting out a sigh he straightened himself up.
"I have an idea." He said taking a step towards you.

Chapter Text
The lights flickered in this lengthy corridor. You struggled to keep up with Brighton's long strides as he dragged you by the arm.
"Where are you taking me?" You demanded, tripping over yourself.
"I'm giving you what you want." He said pulling you back up to your feet.
"What?" You said confused as you continued to resist his grasp.
He didn't reply, but simply tugged harder at your arm as you both walked down the dark hallway. You watched him, the shadows casting off his angular face. Maybe he wasn't crazy...maybe evil was a more appropriate word. You thought about the things April had said about him. 'April.' You thought to yourself. What if she was dead? Did they experiment on her too? You both reached the end of the corridor and stopped outside the large metal door.
"Where is April?" You asked in a small voice.
"I returned her home." He said unlocking the door.
"What- I want to go home." Your voice trailed off. It was a plea.
"I had no use of Miss O'Neil, so I sent her on her way. A woman of her reputation cannot go missing without people noticing. And at the moment, I am not interested in that kind of publicity." He looked at you and smiled.
"You on the other hand..." he cupped your cheek with his hand. You turned your face away from his. "Are a nobody." He finished.
He opened the door and threw you into the darkness. You fell to the concrete floor, and stayed there unable to look up at him. His words cut you deep. It was true, you were a nobody. You could die here and no one would notice. People would go about their lives, grab a coffee with friends, or see a movie with their loved ones, and no one would feel the difference of one less life in the world. Your life. This shook you to the core and you couldn't keep those dark thoughts at bay. You tried to fight them, but you couldn't and tears began to fall.
"Chin up love, you are a somebody to me." He mused.
He shut the door and left you there to your own thoughts. No one was coming for you. After all, they had April.
"Shut up y/n!" You growled. "Don't think like that." You hit your fist to your head trying to knock the thoughts away.
"You can't." You whimpered pulling your knees close to your body. You closed you eyes and took a deep breath. Counting to ten you tried to center yourself, Leo had taught you this trick.
You heard movement and your eyes shot open. It was silent and you held your breath hoping you hadn't really heard anything at all. The room barley had any light, but your eyes had adjusted where you could see to some extent. But the corners of the room... that's where the shadows where and you feared you were not alone.
Watching the shadows intently, you slowly moved backwards till your back touched the door. At least this way you didn't have to worry about something sneaking behind you. It remained silent.
Slowly the tension in your body started to fade. Maybe it was just your mind playing tricks on you. You let out a sigh of relief when nothing else happened. A low guttural sound came from the shadows and your heart jumped.
"Shit." You mumbled through your teeth. It sounds like there is an animal in here with you.
Glancing around the room, you tried to see if there was anything to fight with. Nothing. The room looked empty. 'What's even the freaken point of this room!?' You thought as you tried to find a way out of this predicament. Just your fucking luck. You head more movement, it sounded like a chain. Maybe you were in luck, maybe it had a leash on! It sounded irritated and you wished you had something to throw at it. Maybe you could scare it, be alpha! You looked down and spotted your shoes.
"What the hell?" You shrugged, bending down you took off your shoe. You stood up tall and took a deep breath. 'Here goes nothing.' You sighed.
"I AM ALPHA FEMALE!" You roared chucking the shoe into the darkness as hard as you could.
"Oof!" Came the reply.
You froze and stared wide-eyed into the darkness. 'Craaaap, It's not an animal!' you thought to yourself in horror.
"What the fuck!?" Came the gruff voice.
"Raph?" You breathed out in disbelief.
"Y/n?" Came his startled reply.
"Raphael!" Your voice cracked.
You ran to the shadows and threw yourself towards the large mass. With a grunt he caught you, and you began to sob. He wrapped his arms around you, and buried his face into your hair. You couldn't see him, but you knew it was Raph. Everything about him felt like home, his hot breath on your skin, his arms. The texture of the bumps on his skin, Even his scent, fuck you missed his scent.
You were so overwhelmed, it felt like your heart was going to explode. You were choking on your sobs, you heard him mumbling something but you couldn't understand him. His words were jumbled with his own broken sobs, you felt his chest heave in and out . He held you so tight, as if he was worried you would disappear if he let go of you. And honestly, you felt the same way. You dug your nails deep in him, afraid to be pulled apart from his hold. nuzzling your face into his neck you took in a deep breath cherishing his warmth. His body, he was here. He came for you. This couldn't be happening. He can't be here.
"Am I dead?" You asked in a whisper.
His breath hitch. His arm moved and you felt his hand trace your face gently. Leaning into his hand you closed your eyes. You didn't want to know even if you were. You didn't care, you were happy here. He placed small kisses on your temple.
"If anyone's dead, it's me." He continued to place kisses along you forehead. " 'Cause Yer an angel y/n." He breathed out.
"I was so scared Raph." You broke down and started to cry again.
"Me too." His voice cracked and he held you tight.
You both stayed there holding each other, crying. Afraid to let go. You reached up and cupped his face, you traced little circles with your thump. You missed his features. Slowly you felt around, letting your fingertips graze lightly over his skin, over his mask, down the side of his jaw, and back to his lips. You gently traced over the scar on his lip. He didn't move, you wondered if he was too scared to.
Sitting up more in his lap, you pulled his head closer to yours. You lingered there in front of his lips and just enjoyed the sensation of his breathing against yours. You felt your heart start to quicken and you smiled. Parting your lips you leaned closer. He didn't dare move. Fuck you missed this. Tenderly, you closed the distance and placed a kiss along his scar. He caught your bottom lip and held onto it. You smiled into his face and took in his top lip massaging it in yours. He churred low, and you hummed into his mouth. You had forgotten how long it's been since you two had last kissed. It felt like centuries. A lifetime ago really. You release his lip and placed your forehead to his.
"I missed you." You whispered.
"I missed you." He whispered back into your ear like a secret. You smiled and kissed him again, this time harder.
You licked his bottom lip and he opened up his mouth, letting his tongue dance with yours. You felt your stomach begin to tighten with excitement. And you began to grind your hips in his lap. A low noise came from the back of his throat and you repositioned yourself so you were straddling him. You pulled back from your passionate kiss and tried to catch your breath.
"I need you Raphael." You breathed out.
"Ar-are ya s-sure? " he stuttered, trying to catch his breath.
"Yes." You whispered as you attacked his mouth. Hungrily you both kissed each other like it was your last time. Raphael's hands moved to your pants and you helped him remove them. You then threw your shirt to the side and his lips started at your neck. You leaned your head to the side to give him more access and you moaned as he sucked on your favorite spot. Fuck he knew your body. You grabbed onto his shoulders and his hands roamed up and down your body.
He worked his way down and planted kisses along your collarbone. His touch set fire to your skin. Parting your lips you let out a slow moan as he began to suck on your nipples. He rolled his tongue around your mounds and massaged the underneath of your breast with his hands. It drove you wild.
You were starting to grow wet and Raph could smell it. He let out a growl. You felt something rub against your thighs, and you reached down to grab his member. He moaned into your breast as you stroked it between your legs. Lowering yourself onto him your breath hitched. It's been so long. You wrapped your arms around his neck and buried your face into his chest as you tried to adjust. He wrapped his arms around you and rest his lips on top of your head as he slowly started to rock. You sucked in your breath and he stopped.
"Do ya want to stop?" He asked worried.
"No, keep going." You said biting your lip.
He started rocking once more, he placed kissed on your head. You reached down and rubbed your clit. Sucking in a breath you moaned as the pain started to turn into pleasure and you matched his rocking with your own. Putting your arms back around his neck you arched your back as the pleasure grew stronger. He grunted as he picked up the pace slamming into you harder. Your boobs bounced as you went up and down his cock. Moaning you dug your nails into his skin.
"Don't stop." You breathed.
"Fuck." He moaned.
You closed your eyes tight as you felt your walls starting to squeeze around him. Moans mixed with the sound of skin slapping together filled the room.
"Fuck, I love you so much." He breathed into your ear as he held you tight.
You couldn't speak, you couldn't think, you could only feel the spring coiling in your stomach. He bit your ear and you let out a yelp. Whining, you let out burst of moans unable to catch your breath as you were smacked up and down.
"Raph- Oh-oooh-fuuuuck!" You whimpered.
He growled as he slammed harder into you, you felt your walls close tight and your legs began to shake as the coil in your stomach released and pleasure flooded your body. You threw your head back and moaned his name. He continued to pound into you. And you slumped forward wrapping your arms around him and resting your head on his shoulder as he continued to fuck you. You let out sharp breaths as you felt another orgasm start to claim you. You bit down on his shoulder and he let out a growl as he slammed into you one more time releasing inside you. He slowed down and melted into your hold. You both panted heavy, resting your heads on either persons shoulder.
He held you a moment longer before pulling out. You kissed him once more. And he wrapped his arms around you tight pulling you onto his chest as he laid back. You closed your eyes and smiled listening to his heartbeat. He let out a little chuckle.
"What?" You hummed.
"We should do it in the dark more often." He churred
"Idiot." You smiled feeling yourself drift off to sleep.

Chapter Text
Smiling you adjusted your body as you lay on big red. The sensation of his warm body beneath yours filled you with total joy. Completely and utterly content. Yawning you stretched and slowly opened an eye.
"Good morning Peaches." Came the voice of the man shadowing over you.
"Get away!" You jumped up startled.
Samuel grabbed your arm and jerked you off Raphael. Raph lunged forward but the chains that held him jerked him back.
"Don't ya fuckin' touch her!" Raphael roared as he tried to swing at the man.
Samuel wrapped his arm around your neck, and his other around your waist. This made it impossible for you to move without choking. But that didn't keep you from trying. You struggled to breath as you fought against his grasp. Raph let out a string of curse words and threats as he tried to pull against his restraints. Samuel smiled smugly and took a step forward. Raphael clawed at him, but the man stood just out of his reach.
"Don't touch? You mean like this? " Samuel said squeezing his grip a little tighter and causing you to gag.
"Or..." Samuel slowly moved his arm around you waist down to your crotch. " Do you mean like this?" He said with a wicked smile.
"I'm gonna fuckin' rip ya apart you little shit!" Raphael face twisted into a raw rage.
"That will be quite enough Samuel." Brighton spoke gently, but in a manner that could turn your blood to ice.
"Sir! I- I was just-" Samuel dropped you and spun around. You hit the floor and began to dry-heave and cough.
"Samuel...you are no longer needed for today's activities. Why don't you go home and rest? You have been working very hard after all." Brighton said nonchalantly as he straightened his tie.
"But-" Samuel looked like a child being scolded.
"Go home Samuel." Brighton said coldly. It was a command that would not be told twice.
Samuel stormed out the room without making eye contact with anyone. Brighton switched his attention to you. He motioned towards you and two guards ran up and grabbed you, pulling you off the floor. Another man brought a folding chair and popped it open. They sat you in it and held your shoulders tight to keep you from moving. Brighton looked over to Raphael who was eyeing him.
"Remarkable. You truly are remarkable." He breathed.
"Fuck off." Raph spat at him.
Brighton chuckled and looked back to you.
"I second that." You said weakly.
"So. It seems we have reached a crossroads." Brighton held his arms out to both you and Raphael. " My plans are not going quite as...smoothy...as I would have hoped. But, I've had an epiphany. Up until this point I've tried creating new life, a new species if you will from a piece of DNA, but that resulted in less than savory outcomes."
"The lab." You stated.
"Yes, miss y/n. Those were indeed our attempts." Brighton answered. "So we changed our methods. Instead of just a piece of DNA, we used a whole body. This created a perfect replica. But unfortunately...it was braindead."
"I've met some real sickos in my time, but ya take the cake." Raphael said disgusted. Brighton ignored his comment.
"I believe that the subject must be awake and willing for the procedure to work." He continued. "Meaning, you must be in a cooperative state for my babies to have a fully functioning and active brain. I must stress the word cooperative, I can't have you in a hostile state or else my creations will mimic those behaviors. And I would rather not have to put down any more of my babies. Actually, you are both very lucky to be part of this. We are going to go down in history! A new world! Isn't that fantastic?"
"Go fuck yourselve." You spat at his shoes.
The man sighed and shook his head. He walked over to you and bent down so he was eye level with you.
" I really did try to make this work. I tried to be reasonable. I tried to make you comfortable, to be humane. But no. You refuse to cooperate." He spoke calmly. "It's incredible really." He brushed a hair from your face and you turned away in disgust.
"Alright then, if that's what you want." He stood back up tall. "We can do this the difficult way. I can be disagreeable if you like."
Brighton pulled a remote from his suit jacket and within a second electricity was surging through Raphael's restraints. Raph yelled in pain.
"Stop it!" You screamed.
You tried to jump up but a man stood on either side of you holding you down. Brighton pressed a button and the electricity stoped. Raphael collapsed to the floor. He panted heavy as he tried to stay awake. Brighton turned it on and off again, and on and off. You screamed as Raphael fought against the current of shock going through his veins. Blood ran down his chin from his teeth clamping shut on his lip.
"Please! Stop!" You begged. "I'll do what you want!"
"Now that's a pleasant attitude to hear." Brighton smiled. "But I need both of you to comply. How about you, you incredible creature?"
"I'd rather die." Raphael spat, spraying his blood filled spit at Brighton.
"Raphael, please!" You cried.
"Tisk, tisk." Brighton breathed in deep, he pulled out a hanky and wiped the spit off his shoe. "You shouldn't have done that." He said in a low voice.
Brighton snapped and a man brought a little metal box. He opened it up and pulled out a thin metal collar. He turned to you and snapped it onto your neck. You let out a sharp gasp as the feeling of a needle punctured your skin.
"You see this lovely necklace y/n is wearing? Well, if I push this bottom here on my remote, she will be poisoned. Dead within... minutes really." Brighton spoke disappointedly.
Raphael growled under his breath as he moved around trying to think. He stopped and sunk to the floor. He looked at you helplessly. You looked at Raphael with tears flowing down your cheeks. His face was covered in despair. He didn't know how to fix this, he had no great plans. 'If only he was Leo' Raphael thought to himself. he would have some great idea to get out of this. Raph was only good for punching his way out of things, and he couldn't even do that right now. You wouldn't even be in this mess if it wasn't for him. If he was Leo you would be home safe.
"I ruined everything." Raphael mumbled to himself.
"What was that?" Brighton questioned.
Raphael stayed silent for a moment. He took a deep breath and exhaled. He looked back to Brighton.
"I'll cooperate." He said defeated.
"Good boy." Brighton said with a smile.

Chapter Text
Swoosh.
The speeding hockey puck smacked into the net. Casey hit another with the same result. This was his favorite place to think. Nobody came around this arena anymore, so he would have it all to himself. Especially in the evening times like tonight. The fact that it was closed might have had something to do with the lack of people around.
Casey had spent most of his days here as a kid, he grew up on this rink. The owner had grown to like him, he became like a second father to Casey. Jones smiled to himself thinking about his memories here. About the grumpy man who would try to run him off when he broke in at night. He chuckled remembering their "duels" they would have with hockey sticks. Casey always won.
"What a punk." He mumbled to himself.
'It's s funny how life works, ain't it Casey Jones?' He thought to himself. How everything changes. How he grew up. He was surprised he didn't end up in jail. Good friends were the reason he suspected. Friends like the turtles, they were good people. The beat damn guys he'd ever met. Casey frowned and smacked another puck into the net aggressively.
Why does life have to be so hard for them? The turtles deserve better than what they got. They deserve to be out in the open, getting the praise they were due. But no, people are fucked up. He skated in a tight circle restlessly. Things were going so good for them, then all this shit hit the fan.
Smack. Swoosh.
Casey stared at the net and sighed. Who would take you guys? What kind of monster kidnaps people. Why are people so fucked?
Smack.
He watched as the net caught the puck. He hit another. And another. The sound of the puck making contact with his stick was comforting. It was the only thing in this world that made sense to him. The only thing grounding him at this moment.
"Where are you Little B?" Casey said with a furrowed brow.
He missed you. He missed Raph. He looked over at April sitting on the bleachers. She sat there quietly staring off into the distance somewhere. He sighed. He missed his girlfriend. Things hadn't been the same since she came back. Things hadn't been the same with anyone for a while he thought, getting aggravated.
"What the crap happened to us?!" He exploded waving his hockey stick in the air
"What?" April asked hesitantly.
"We use to be so cool!" He said desperately, skating over to the rail.
"Me and you?" She questioned.
"Me and you, the turtles, all of us! We were unstoppable! There wasn't anything we couldn't handle." He answered.
April watched Casey quietly. Casey looked at her and frowned. He closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. He didn't want to scare her, she was already going through enough. He had to be her compass, he had to be stronger than he was. Even if it meant he had to keep pretending everything was fine. But the problem was, he didn't want to. Nothing was okay. He sighed and leaned over the top of the rail.
"Now look at us." He added, resting his chin on his folded arms. "Nowadays we're so...so..." he stopped talking and looked away.
"So what?" April stood up and walked over to the rail.
Casey looked back over to her and straightened up. Jones swung his legs over the rail and landed on the other side in front of her. He held her hand for a moment as he looked back at the net full of hockey pucks. He smiled at her sadly, and squeezed her hand before letting go. She watched as he made his way over to the bleachers. He stopped and sighed, furrowing his brows. Casey looked over his shoulder at April who was still watching his every move.
"We're so... fragile." He grimaced.
Jones sat down and began to take off his skates. He wished he could stay on the ice forever. But he couldn't, it was time to go back to the real world.
Notes:
I hope you liked this chapter! I really enjoyed writing it, for some reason I really love writing Casey. He's not even my favorite character baha, (well maybe in my made up whacko story he is haha.) but I love writting his character. I think I can relate to him.

Chapter Text
"I just don't know what to do Leo." Casey grabbed a beer from the fridge in the turtle's kitchen.
"I mean look at her." Casey said motioning with his bottle towards his girlfriend.
April sat quietly on the couch in the living area staring at the TV screen. Mickey walked into the living room and noticed the television was off. He looked at April sadly then back to the screen.
"Here Angelcakes, let me get this for ya." He said turning on the TV.
Mikey gave a small smile, she didn't respond. He sighed and headed for the kitchen.
"See?" Casey took a gulp of his beer.
"Good Idea bro." Mikey motioned towards Casey's drink. He walked over to the fridge and grabbed himself one.
"Mikey, you shouldn't be drinking right now." Leonardo said sternly, crossing his arms.
"Dude, right now is exactly the right time for a beer. I mean have you looked around!" Mikey popped the top and took a drink.
Leo opened his mouth to protest but stopped when he looked at his brother closely. He looked different. He wasn't his normal happy, child-like self. Mikey looked sad, he looked tired and disappointed, he looked...broken.
"Yeah bro, I honestly don't know how you've held it together this far." Casey downed the last of his bottle and tossed it into the trash.
"Tell me your secret." Jones smacked Leonardo on the shoulder and let out a loud belch.
"Whoah! Good one!" Mikey cheered as he grabbed another bottle from the fridge. He chucked that one down as well and let out a fit of burps.
Leo grimaced as he watched Casey and Mikey make bodily noises and laugh. He sighed and looked back towards the living room at April. She still sat there in the same place, watching whatever Mikey had put on for her. Her hair hung in her face but she didn't bother to move it. She looked lost. It broke his heart to see his friends like this. Honestly, Leo wasn't sure how much longer he could hold it all together. It felt like everything was slipping through his hands.
Leo cleared the lump that was forming in his throat. How could he let this happen to his family? It was his job to protect. His job to lead. And now what? They were falling apart at the seams! Leo turned back around when he heard the laughter subside. Mikey and Casey sat at the table under the dim light somberly.
Leo watched as they fiddled with the bottles in their hands, taking a sip every now and then. Never looking up from the table. Leo sighed, he walked over to the fridge slowly. He rested his forehead on the freezer, feeling the chill against his skin. Thoughts of you flooded his mind and his heart felt like it might blow up. He inhaled sharply and closed his eyes. Leonardo felt a hand on his back and he glanced behind him. Mikey gave him a sympathetic smile. He held out his hand and offered his beer to Leo. Leonardo nodded his head slowly, and took the bottle from Mikey. He walked over to the table where Jones still sat. Mikey grabbed another bottle from the fridge then sat down beside Casey. Leo sat down quietly in the chair beside him.
"Here's to our sorry asses." Casey proclaimed, holding his bottle up high for a toast.
They all nodded and clinked their bottles together then chugged them down.
"What is this crap?" Leo scrunched his snout looking at the bottle.
"It's cheap." Casey chuckled looking at Leonardo with a half smile.
"It's crap is what it is." Leo wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
"Yeah." Jones began to laugh, It was a warm, hardy laugh that came from his belly. "I know." He said wiping a tear from his eye.
Leonardo smirked and shook his head, he took another sip. Damn it was good to hear someone laugh around here again. They all sat there in silence, sharing in the comfort of each others sorrow. But the moment of silence didn't last long.
"Leo!" Donnie yelled running into the kitchen.
"What is it?" Leonardo jumped up.
"I think I found something." Donatello panted running back out of the room.
---
The boys all watched Donnie as his fingers flew at lightning speed on the keyboard typing. They all stood in Donnie's lab, trying to wait patiently for whatever he was doing. Leonardo was the first to speak.
"Did you find them?" Leo asked, his fingers fidgeted with his belt idly.
"Not quite." Donnie answered as he continued to type.
"Then what-" Leo was interrupted by Donnie whipping his chair around.
"I found the next best thing." He said with a small smirk.
"Which is?" Casey asked stepping in closer so he could see the screen.
"Well, I kept coming up to dead ends with the search for them so I changed my tactics. I looked into that guy April was reporting on, a Mr. Brighton. BUT, to my surprise he has been off the grid, I can't find him anywhere." Donnie took off his glasses as he spoke and inspected them, cleaning off a smudge with his thumb.
"Bro, what do ya mean he's been off the grid?" Mikey asked hanging over the back of Donnie's chair.
"I mean, there is no trace of him anywhere. As of seven months ago he disappeared off the face of the earth." Donnie pushed Miked off his chair. Mikey let out a little whine then leaned against the table beside him. Don rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to Leonardo as he spoke.
" Why would he do that?" Leo question looking at the picture of Brighton on the screen.
" That I don't know. But I'm assuming it isn't anything good. Right before he went all Rambo style, he was suspected of robbing a government facility. They couldn't prove it though. He disappeared shortly after." Donatello pulled up pictures of different kinds of equipment on the computer screen as he talked.
"So... correct me if I'm wrong..." Casey leaned against Donnie's chair. "But it sounds like... we don't know where this guy is? Casey asked confused.
"Correct." Donatello confirmed.
"So we're back at square one!" Casey thew his hands in the air and paced in a circle.
"Not exactly." Don adjusted his glasses.
"Donnie." Leo spoke getting annoyed at how long this was taking.
"Oh right, sorry." Donatello turned his attention back to the keyboard, he pulled up another picture of a man.
"Who's that?" Mikey asked crossing his arms.
"Well since I couldn't find Brighton, I thought I would look for his employees. At first I didn't have any luck, I think they are all at a base camp somewhere because there wasn't any trace of them either." Don leaned back in his chair.
"Buuuuuuut." He sang putting his hands behind his head.
"One guy slipped up, it seems this guy got drunk last night and caused a ruckus. He was held for the night and the report says he was going off about a April O'Neal, and wait for it..." Donnie swiveled his chair around to face his brothers.
"Giant Turtle Freaks. Anddddd mic drop." Donnie had a goofy half smile as he dropped and imaginary mic from his hand.
"Good job Don." Leo patted his brother on the back as he studied the mans face on the screen.
"Samuel..." Leonardo read out loud.
There was a shrieking sound and everyone jerked their heads towards the doorway of the lab. April stood their sobbing uncontrollably. She began to scream. Casey ran over to her.
"What's wrong babe?" He asked as he inspected her to see if she was hurt.
"Samuel!" She screamed pointing at the screen.
"Do you remember him?" Jones asked gently, brushing the hair out of her face.
April nodded her head and sunk to the ground as she continued to cry. Casey got on the ground with her and held her close to him. She buried her face in his chest and weeped. Casey looked back at the turtles, they all exchanged glances with each other.
"I better sit this one out Leo." Casey cleared his throat.
"Are you sure?" Leo asked placing a hand on his shoulder.
Jones didn't answer right away but nodded his head slowly as he thought.
"Yeah...He better pray you guys get to him before I do." Casey said darkly.
Leonardo nodded somberly and squeezed his shoulder gently before letting go. He looked at his brothers grimly, they watched quietly waiting for his instructions. Leo looked back to the screen at that man. A fire roared in the pit of his stomach. He took a deep breath and tried to calm the rage forming inside of him.
"Gear up." Leo ordered spinning on his heel and exiting the lab.

Chapter Text
With an orange haze dusking the sky, the sun was finally setting on the city. Which in turn meant the turtles where about ready to head out.
Leo crouched in the corner of his training space sharpening his katanas. The familiar sound of scraping metal put him in a trance. He had done this a thousand times, by now it came as easy as breathing. This was always the same routine before he left the lair. He did it without thought, made sure everything was shining and sharp. Buffed and perfectly lethal. His weapons were an extension of himself, the one part of his life he could control.
Leonardo stood up and sheathed his katanas. He took a deep breath as he readied himself for the mission tonight. He wished he had more time to meditate before they left, but he would not leave you alone for another night. Tonight was the night he would be your knight in shining armor. He let out a snort of mockery towards himself, what was he thinking? He was no knight, no matter how much he wished it to be true. He looked at his makeshift gear he wore, his "armor". Who was he kidding? He was a fucking turtle dressed in the trash people threw away... He was no hero. Leo wasn't even sure if he was really fit to lead his team. He had no control over anything, or anyone for that matter. Hell, he had to spend his life hiding.
Leo shook his head trying to clear his thoughts, none of these things matter to him right now. He puffed his chest out. Tonight, tonight he was willing to do whatever it took to bring you home.
"We move in five!" He shouted as he entered the living area.
"Heard!" Mikey called back, running from the kitchen to his room.
Leonardo shook his head at his younger brother. He always waited till the last possible moment. Leo peeked into Donatello's lab.
"Two seconds." Donnie mumbled fidgeting with some gadget.
Leo grunted in response and left him alone to his work. He had grown to know better than to interrupt Donatello from working on something that would probably end up saving all their lives.
"My son, may I have a word?" Master Splinter spoke as he walked into the Hashi. Leonardo followed behind.
"Yes Master?" Leonardo bowed to his Father.
"Be careful tonight. Do not let revenge fill your heart." Splinter spoke carefully, his whiskers twitched as he thought.
"Hai Sensei." Leo nodded.
Master Splinter hummed to himself as he walked around the room to Raphael's spot. He bent down and picked up a pair of Raph's knitting needles. Splinter held them in his hands, his eyes glistened and Leo was certain the old rat might cry. The very thought sent a chill down Leo's spine.
"Please, bring them home, my son." Splinter spoke turning his back to Leo.
"Hai Sensei." Leonardo bowed and turned to leave.
"I understand you care for her?" Master Splinter spoke up, stopping Leo in his tracks.
"I care for all my family." Leonardo answered not turning around to face his father.
"I see." He replied, stroking the hair on his chin. "Sometimes in life...we must let go of what the heart wants for the ones that we love." He said gently walking over to his son. "Even... if what the heart wants, is the one you love." He finished sadly, placing a hand on Leo's shoulder.
"I understand." Leonardo's voice broke, and he hoped his Father didn't notice.
"Leonardo..." Master Splinter moved in front of him so he could look at his face. "You have grown into a great leader my son." He said with a smile.
Splinter gently wrapped his arms around Leonardo and pulled him into an embrace. Leo returned his hug and inhaled sharply as he tried to keep himself from falling apart. A tear snuck down his face and he quickly wiped it away and stood up straight.
"Thank you, Father." He said with a slight bow of the head.
"Now. Go find them." Master Splinter said with a smile.
Leo gave a small smile and nodded. He quickly left to gather his brothers.
---
"Dude. This place is some seeeeeedy shit." Mickey whistled in awe.
"You sure this is the place Don?" Leo asked as he tried to step over a pile of garbage.
"According to my GPS." Donnie mumbled as he typed into the device strapped onto his arm.
Donnie's GPS had led them to the outskirts of the city. It was dark and smelled rotten. Jumping a fence the boys now stood in Samuels back yard. This area was so run down that if there wasn't a light on inside, they would have assumed it was an abandoned house. It was small and dirty, and the windows were boarded up. Strips of duct tape were placed on the door adding to the charm of this scum palace. There was no grass, but weeds poked through the concrete. The streetlights didn't even work. Trash cans and empty flower pots were scattered across every which way.
"Even the purple dragons wouldn't come here." Mikey whispered.
"They're not the ones we want." Leo whispered back.
Stepping up to the house Leonardo peeked through the slots on the boarded windows. Mikey tripped over something and stood back up with a whine.
"Dude this place is grooooss. And I live in a SEWER!" Michelangelo kicked the garbage across the yard. He jumped on one foot as he tried to shake off whatever goop was stuck to his toes from the trash.
"Mikey focus." Leonardo scolded. "This is the guy?" Leonardo motioned towards the person inside.
"I believe so." Donatello said watching the man.
Samuel sat reclined on an old lazy boy chair holding a beer. The flickering lights from the Television set bounced off his sleeping body. He was snoring loudly, drool dripped down his chin. The sight of him made Leonardo sick.
"On my count." Leonardo instructed, motioning with his hand. "Three...Two..." He spoke silently. "One!"
The turtles kicked open the door causing the wood to crack beneath their strength. Samuel jumped awake, groggy he tried to figure out what was going on.
"Shit!" He screamed. But before he was able to even blink he was tired back down to his chair.
"Excuse us, but we have some questions." Leonardo said coyly as he stepped out in front of the man.
Samuel's eyes grew round as he looked at the giant turtle before him and the other two that joined soon after.
"Yeah bruh, questions." Mikey got in his face.
Leonardo, and Donatello exchanged a judgmental glance, then shook their heads.
"Thanks Mikey, I'll take it from here." Leo said placing his arm around his little brother and leading him back a couple steps.
"Ya sure Leo? I've been practicing my threats." Mikey glared at the man tied up.
"I'm sure that won't be necessary. Isn't that right Samuel?" Leo spoke with authority turning around to face Samuel.
"He's going to tell us everything we need to know." Leo finished stepping closer to the man.
"I ain't telling you shit!" Samuel spat in Leo's face.
Mikey gasped, and Donnie let out a disgusted sound. Leonardo blinked and wiped the spit off his face with his arm. Leo took a deep breath and bent down so he was at eye level with The man.
"Where is she Samuel." Leonardo spoke in a low, calm voice.
"I don't know who you're talking about." The man replied smugly.
"Yo, let me refresh his memory!" Mikey threatened whipping out his nunchucks. Leonardo ignored his brother.
"Yes you do." Leo glared at Samuel.
"Come here." Samuel motioned with his head.
Leonardo leaned in closer, their faces were only inches apart. Leo scrunched his face in disgust at the foul stench coming out of the mans mouth.
"Yeah, I know who you're talking about." He whispered in Leo's face. "But I ain't gonna tell ya where she is." He chuckled.
Leonardo stood back up and pulled out one of his katanas.
"Where is y/n." Leo threatened darkly, tightening his grip.
"Look at you. I didn't know there were four of you." Samuel studied all three of them with a wicked grin. "I bet you're all that little whore's fuck toys." He chuckled. "Bet you're just itching to have your way with her, aren't ya? She's a good piece of pussy I'll tell you that much." He growled, licking his lips.
"Shut up!" Mikey screamed charging towards him.
Leonardo quickly intercepted, blocking Mikey before he had a chance to pounce on top the man. Donatello jumped forward a step then stopped with his mouth hanging open, not sure what he should do. Samuel laughed, and Mikey growled swinging his arms, but he couldn't reach him. Mikey's chest heaved with anger, he gave up trying to fight against Leo and gave the tied up man the bird.
"He's doing this on purpose. Don't let him get to you." Leonardo kept his arm around mikey leading him back to where Donnie stood.
"You're Leo right?" Samuel spoke up. Leonardo didn't answer but turned around to look at him.
"Y/n talks about you ya know." He continued. "Screams your name in her sleep. Begs for help. Or sometimes when she's feeling naughty, y/n has wet dreams. I know because I'm there, watching. Listening to that little slut moan."
Leonardo inhaled sharply, he could feel his chest began to boil with rage. He wouldn't let this little dipshit get to him. He rolled his shoulders, and slowly unsheathed his katanas. The television light reflected off the shiny metal.
"Where is miss y/n." Leonardo asked through gritted teeth.
"I wonder Leo... does your cock throb for y/n like mine does?" Samuel watched for a reaction, a savage smile spread across his face. "You do crave that little cunt don't you."
Donatello and Michelangelo watched their brother silently, unsure what to do. Leonardo didn't speak. He didn't move. He just stood there holding his katanas, his gaze fixed on the tied up man. Donnie and Mikey looked at each other, then back to Leo. Hesitantly, Donnie approached Leonardo.
"Leo-" Don spoke, gently placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Wait outside." Leonardo spoke in a dangerous voice.
"Bro-" Mikey spoke up but didn't finish.
"I said. Wait. Out. Side." Leo commanded, articulating every word.
The boys watched as Leonardo never took his gaze off Samuel. They nodded slowly and left.
--
They stood in the yard waiting. After about five minutes they still hadn't heard anything. Donnie stood still, fidgeting with his fingers. While Mikey paced around, kicking a can.
" Hey Don..." Mikey ran up to Donatello, his face scrunched as he thought. "Do you think it's true... the part about Leo and y/n?"
"It's none of my business." Donnie replied looking at Michelangelo's perplexed face.
"Yeah, but-" Mikey's thoughts were interrupted by a scream coming from inside the house.
Donnie lowered his gaze and went back to fidgeting his fingers uncomfortably. Mikey found his can again and began to kick it. He whistled to himself trying to tune out the shrieking coming from inside the run-down house.
The screaming stopped and a moment later Leo emerged from the door. He didn't look at his brothers but kept his gaze low, He stopped next to Donnie.
"I know where they are." Leo said looking at the ground.
Donnie nodded quietly in acknowledgment, he looked at his feet. They both stood there, Donnie stole a quick side glance of his oldest brother. Mikey shifted uncomfortably in the silence, and cleared his throat.
"Soooo... what happened in there?" Mikey asked, ignoring the glare Donnie was giving him.
" What was necessary." Leo answered somberly , and walked past his brothers.

Chapter Text
The room they held you in was a small dark concrete cube, a broom closet really. One hanging bulb illuminated the tiny space, white streaks covered the wall creating images of landscapes. You had found a rock and used it to doodle on the wall. Brighton had decided it was best for now to separate you and Raphael. So here you sat alone in a corner staring at the sketched sun you had drawn.
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine..." you sung to yourself quietly. "You make me happy... when skies are...grey." Your voice broke.
Pulling your knees to your chest you began to sob. This was your new life, if you could even call it that.
"Psssst." Came a hushed voice.
"Who's there?" Your head popped up looking around the little room.
"It's James. Come to the door." Came the familiar voice.
"James?" You hobbled up and wiped at your face.
A little window slot on the door opened and a hand poked through.
"I brought you an orange." He said kindly and passed the fruit over.
"Thank you." You mouthed, accepting it graciously.
"And something else." He whispered, motioning for you to come closer.
"What is it?" You leaned in.
"Raphael says to tell you he loves you. And that everything is going to be okay. And..something else..." James Blushed.
"What?" You questioned, looking through the window.
"He wants to know if... if you remember that time you guys snuck into Don's lab and... played doctor?" James finished uncomfortably.
You burst out laughing. Sniffling and smiling, tears falling once more.
"Yes." You giggled. "Tell him I do remember... and also, tell him I love him, and that..that..that we are going to be fine." You held the orange close to your chest.
"I will... Y/n, are- are you.. doing okay?" James asked hesitantly.
"I miss the sun..." you replied sadly. " And this collar itches."
"I'm so sorry." He said ashamed.
"Don't be. It's not your fault." You looked at the fruit in your hand then back to him. "How does a guy like you get involved with all this?"
"I didn't know what I was getting into." He replied, brows furrowed as he thought. "I was fresh out of school, needed a job... Top secret science lab, what kid doesn't want to be involved in that?" He mused. "By the time I found out what was really going on here-" he stopped talking and looked away from you.
"Why don't you just...leave?" You questioned.
"I can't do that. He'd kill my family. I know too much." He whispered back.
You nodded slowly. James looked at his hands as he fidgeted nervously, twirling his thumbs. His mannerisms reminded you of Donnie, this gave you a warm feeling in your stomach and you grinned slightly.
"You remind me of my brother." You said gently, resting your head on the door.
"Is...is that a good thing?" He questioned.
"Yes. Yes, it's a very good thing." You smiled.
"Hey." You perked back up. "Do you think- ya think you could ask Raph if he remembers that time I got him to dress up like Britney Spears?" You smiled mischievously.
"That I can do." He replied with a smile.
This went on for the next hour or so, James running back and forth relaying messages between you and Raphael. You found yourself trying to think of the most awkward thing to get the young man to ask Raphael, it became your little game. Raphael must have been doing the same thing, because every time James would return, he would have something more uncomfortable to say. It became a race to see who could make the poor man blush more. You giggled at the thought.
"Listen to that y/n, you're laughing." You mused. It felt nice.
The door opened and you jumped up ready to tell him your next message. But your heart sunk when you saw who entered.
"I'm sorry, were you expecting someone else?" Brighton raised an eyebrow.
"No." You quickly shook your head.
He watched you in contemplation for a moment, then mumbled something to himself.
"Very well. Come now, it's time to go." He held out his arm.
"Go where?" You didn't budge.
"To create the future of mankind." He beamed.
You didn't move, this made Brighton's smile drop. He reached into his suit jacket and pulled out the small remote.
"Please, don't be brute." He waved the device slightly, then pointed it towards your collar.
You swallowed a breath of air. Slowly you approached him, glaring at the ground. Brighton tucked the remote back away and hooked his arm through yours. You bit the inside of your cheek to keep from swinging at him.
"Much better." He said brightly, leading you out of the room.

Chapter Text
Brighton's long slender legs moved swiftly through the hallway, you tried to keep up with his strides as he pulled you along. He led the both of you to an elevator. When the door opened, Raphael and a couple men stood inside. Brighton released his grip on your arm, allowing you to run into Raph's arms.
"I do love reunions." Brighton remarked as the elevator door shut behind him.
Raphael held you tight and buried his face in your neck. He breathed in deep like he was taking in your scent. It was as if he was savoring it for the last time. You frowned when you realized what he was thinking, and pushed your head away so you could look at him. He looked at you with so much emotion in his eyes, your heart caught in your throat.
"I love you." Raphael mouthed to you.
You smiled sadly at him, you wanted to tell him everything was going to be okay, but you couldn't. Honestly, you didn't know how this was going to end. You leaned up and gently kissed the tear that had dripped down his cheek. Closing your eyes, you idly played with his scales, enjoying the familiar sensation of bumps and grooves beneath your fingertips.
Ding.
"Ladies first." Brighton motioned towards the opening elevator door.
You hesitantly stepped off, Raphael following close behind you. A gust of wind hit your cheek and you froze.
"Raphael are we-!?" You whispered throwing your arm out to grab ahold of him for comfort.
"On top of the Empire State Building?" Raph answered grabbing your reaching hand.
Your mouth hung open as you nodded your head furiously, unable to speak. Brighton let out a chuckle as he passed you, walking towards the edge of the lookout.
"Yes my dear, and you've been here the whole time too. Surprised?" He said looking over the city lights.
"But- but..how? How have you not been caught!?" You marched over to Brighton.
"Secret labs, secret elevators... I'm rich? Take your pick darling." He replied with a wink.
Brighton placed a quarter in the tower viewer beside him, he carefully swiveled it till it clicked. The ground began to move beneath your feet and you jumped back as an opening appeared.
"Shit." You and Raphael simultaneously breathed out in awe.
"This way." Brighton stated walking down the staircase that led to who knows where.
You didn't follow right away, but stood at the top staring down. The men behind Raphael grew restless and started to prod at him to move.
"Watch it!" Raph growled, stepping forward.
You snarled at the men, and started your walk down the stairs. Once you reached the bottom, you walked through a concrete hall where Brighton stood waiting at the end. He smiled and entered a combination code, opening the door behind him. Stepping aside, he made way for you to follow. You walked in and was immediately greeted by several scientists, at least that's what you assumed, they were all wearing lab coats. They swarmed you, scanning you with gadgets and mumbling things to themselves.
"Back off her!" Raphael lunged forward protectively.
"Now, now." Brighton tsked, pressing the little remote he held.
Raphael ground his teeth as the electricity surged through his body. Brighton released the button and the turtle fell to the ground with a thud.
"Just ya wait." Raphael threatened, as he wiped the drool from his face.
"Raph, please." You pleaded softly. You couldn't stand to watch him suffer.
"Listen to y/n Raphael." Brighton snickered with glee.
You could see Raphael's nostrils flaring. He grunted and turned his face away. Your heart broke watching your gladiator sit there on the ground so helpless.
"You're a real fucking piece of shit ya know that." You stated, turning your attention to the well-dressed man beside you.
" Sticks and stones." He replied amused.
One of the scientists whispered something in Brighton's ear and his face lit up. The mere sight sending dread through your veins.
"Excellent!" He clapped his hands together. "I was beginning to think I was going to have to force your hands, but it seems you both did the work for me already."
"What are you talking about?" You crossed your arms in annoyance.
"I needed you pregnant my dear. Remember?" Brighton smiled.
"Y/n can't get pregnant." Raphael mumbled standing himself off the ground.
You jerked your head towards Raph with a questioning gaze.
"I asked Donnie. Wanted to know if- ...ya know... we could've maybe...had a family someday." He said quietly, brushing off his knees.
Your lips moved silently but nothing came out, you just didn't know how to respond right now. He had never told you before he wanted a family.
"So just give it up ya fuckface, she can't get pregnant." Raphael cleared his throat. "At least not with a freak like me." He finished, a subtle bitterness in his voice.
"Interesting." Brighton rubbed his chin.
"Raph I didn't know-" you spoke quietly but was soon interrupted by Brighton speaking.
"It just so happens y/n is carrying your seed, you fantastic creature. You can thank my team of scientist for making that possible." Brighton smiled at the scientists and gave them a small nod.
"What?" Raphael took a wobbled step towards you.
"She's pregnant my dear fellow." Brighton rolled his eyes. "You're welcome." He added arrogantly.
"I'm- I- Preg- P-" You felt yourself beginning to hyperventilate. This can't be happening right now.
"Babe." Raphael tried to soothed placing his hands on either side of your arms.
"I feel light headed..." You whispered to Raph, closing your eyes as you tried to calm your heartbeat.
"Enough of this melodrama." Brighton spoke flatly.
The scientists swarmed you, and grabbed on to your arms leading you towards another door. Raphael growled and swung his arm sending one of them flying through the air with a scream. The guards behind lunged at the turtle. Raphael spun around and kicked them in the chest sending them backwards. Their skulls hit the concrete floor with a loud crack. You screamed, and Raph whipped around ready to fight.
"Enough!" Brighton ordered, he held you tight in his arms. "You seem to have forgotten about this pretty little collar around her neck."
"No! Wait!" Raphael held out his hands and got down on his knees slowly. "don't hurt her."
"Remember your manners Raphael." Brighton released you. He walked over to the defeated turtle and leaned into his face. "I am not in need of your assistance at this point of time Raphael. The fact that you are even still here with y/n is a curtesy I have given you out of the kindness of my heart. Remember that."
Brighton stood up straight and rubbed his fingers through his hair. He looked at you as he thought, his tung sucking on his teeth. He let out a sigh.
"This will be your last warning. Now come." He said flatly walking through another door.
You followed behind, along with the scientist and Raphael. On the other side of the doorway you found a large lab. Very similar to the ones you had found before, only this one was much larger. Glowing pods and capsules lined the walls, wires and cables snaked throughout the room. There were steel tables stacked with test tubes and gadgets. In the center of the room a large tank like the one you had found, but this one looked clean. The clear liquid inside bubbled up like a jacuzzi. You walked up to it and placed your hand on the glass. It was warm.
"It really is quite embarrassing." Brighton spoke walking over to a table. "I had planned on cloning as a means to create my army... But unfortunately, we couldn't get our recipe just right. It seems what can be done for simple organisms, is much harder to do on the complex." He moved tubes around poring colorful liquid into glass containers.
"So now what?" You spoke defiantly. Damn you wish you had your bat.
"Well, I went back to what I know. And I've found another way. One more...organic." He snapped his fingers and a scientist brought him a single chicken egg.
He took the egg from the man, never looking up from his work. Taking one of the tubes of liquid he had mixed, Brighton slowly poured a few drops on the fragile shell. He put down his work and walked over to you and held out his hand. You watched closely as the egg began to crack and shake. You could hear a peeping sound and you leaned in closer. The shell began to crumble and the chicks head appeared.
"I've beaten father time." Brighton said proudly as the chick continued growing in his hands. "And you're going to be my queen bee."
You watched in horror as the man squeeze his fist crushing the life within. He dropped the dead chick to the floor, and pulled out a hanky from his suit jacket to wipe his hands. He put the hanky back and pulled out the small remote, pressing a button Raphael collapsed to the floor.
"Raphael!" You cried out running to him, but was stopped by several men grabbing onto you.
"He's fine, temporary paralysis." Brighton walked over to his work table. "Now get in the tank." He spoke coldly.
You tried to fight as the men carried you to the tank. Swinging your arms and legs the fluid splashed out of the tank as you struggled against them. They placed an inflatable ring around your neck to keep your head floating above the surface. The men attached weights to your arms and let them sink down, making it difficult for you to move. You felt a tingling current of electricity flow through the liquid.
"Please." You begged. "You don't have to do this!"
"But I want to." Brighton replied walking over to the tank with his mixture in hand, he raised the vile over the tank to pour it in.
"This won't bring your brother back." You continue trying to talk him out of it.
Brighton froze and looked at you.
"What... what did you say?" He whispered.
"I said... your brother.... I know you think they killed him. It was an accident Brighton. But this, this won't bring him back." You tried to reason. "Please... Brighton, don't do this. You can still do the right thing... please..." You pleaded.
Brighton stayed still as he thought, his eye twitched and he leaned in closer to you.
"My brothers death wasn't an accident y/n." He answered gently. " I should know after all, I killed him." He smiled dangerously.
"Wha-" You breathed out as he poured the liquid into the tank.
Your teeth chattered together as you body arched back. You felt a deep pain in your gut as your stomach began to grow. Every nerve was screaming for relief. Your skin stretched, and you howled as you felt your body shifting and changing. Brighton stood back, grinning ear to ear as he watched his handy work. Your stomach continued to expand and you thought you might burst. Feeling your eyesight begin to blur you thought you were getting ready to pass out. Then out of nowhere the pain stopped. You sucked in a gasp of air. Opening your eyes you realized the only lights on were the emergency lights.
"What happened?" Brighton barked.
"Sir, the power is off." One man spoke.
"I can see that you blubbering idiot! WHY is the power off!" Brighton yelled.
"We-...we don't know sir..." The woman scientist spoke hesitantly.
"Then figured it out." He hissed.
"S-sir..." one of the men with a walkie-talkie spoke up. "It...it seems there has been a...a break in..."
"Then tell my men to take care of it." Brighton answered annoyed.
"Uh- S-Sir-...uhm, half of the men have...have...um... disappeared?" The man winced with his words.
Brighton let out a frustrated growl as he flipped one of the work tables. Papers and glass rained down. He lifted his hand to strike the man with the walkie-talkie but your laughter interrupted him. He breathed in sharp and marched over to the tank.
"What has you so tickled?" He asked, tapping his foot in aggravation.
"You're about to get your ass whooped." You replied smugly.

Chapter Text
"I don't understand.." Donnie smacked the side of his tracker seeing if that made a difference.
"Leooo my head hurts." Mikey whined touching the top of his scalp gently.
"Not now Mikey." Leo stood next to Don watching as he fidgeted with the GPS.
"Bruh, I think that A-hole in the power room hit me hard!" Mikey groaned, verbally wincing as he touched the tender spot.
"Here, let me look." Leo muttered, walking over to check the back of Mikey's head.
The boys had spent the last half hour making their way to the top of the Empire State Building. Floor by floor they worked their way up, targeting the control room and turning off the power to the whole building. After that an alarm sounded sending waves of men. Which was an indicator that they were on the right track. Unfortunately, here they stood. Tired, battle-worn, and irritated. On top of the building where Donnie's tracker had led, but no one in sight.
"You'll probably need stitches when we get back." Leo acknowledged as he pressed around the back of His brothers skull.
"Dude! Don, can I get it stitched in the shape of a lighting bolt?" Mikey begged loudly. Donatello ignored the question.
Leonardo pressed down on the cut, causing a yelp to escape from the turtle in orange. Leo smirked and walked back over to join Donatello.
"You did that on purpose..." He heard Mikey mumbling to himself.
"Anything yet?" Leo inquired, leaning in closer to Don.
"Leo, they should be right here..." Donatello whispered, looking up and squinting his eyes at the nighttime city.
Leonardo glanced around, and frowned. Nothing. There was nobody up here but them. There wasn't even equipment.
"Donnie... where are the-" Leo was interrupted by Don throwing his tracker across the floor.
"I don't know!" Donatello shouted. "I don't know where they are, I don't know how to find them, I. DON'T. KNOW."
Leo was taken back by Donatello's outburst.
"They have to be here Donnie." Leonardo grabbed Donatello's shoulders, and squared them with his.
"Then where are they Leo?" Donnie replied.
"I-I-I...they have to-" Leonardo stammered trying to make sense of everything. "Why would there be so many guards if they weren't here Don!" He quickly added shaking him slightly.
"It very well could have been a trap!" Donnie exclaimed. "We had no reason to trust what Samuel told us! That guy was obviously bad news!"
"Why would he lie to me!" Leo yelled back.
"Why wouldn't he!? They aren't here Leo!" Don squeezed Leo's shoulders.
"They have to be!" Leo ripped Don's hans off of him.
"Well I'm sorry! They aren't here!" Donatello threw his arms in the air.
"Whoah dudes, let's calm down." Mikey interjected trying to place his body between his older brothers.
"Stay out of this Michelangelo!" Leonardo commanded, nudging mikey back with his forearm.
"No! Okay, you know what? You listen to US!" Donatello gave Leo a small shove. "I'm sorry, but you need to think. I've kept my head in the sand long enough."
"Are you questioning my authority?" Leonardo stepped closer getting in his face.
"I'm questioning whether or not your judgment has been clouded due to your own personal attachment to the situation!" Donnie snapped.
"He's OUR brother!" Leo thundered in his face.
"I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT HIM!" Donatello's chest heaved as he tried to calm himself. "And you know exactly what I mean..." He remarked quietly, staring into his brothers wide eyes.
Donatello gulped seeing the realization in Leo's face turn to anger, then to pain, then back to frustration. He had crossed a line. Leo's nostrils flared and he huffed. Leonardo gave Don a shove then put some distance between the two of them.
"Bro... I think you broke him. " Mikey whispered to Don as they watched Leo stand over by the edge of the observation deck, the leader silently shook his head as he tried to control his emotions.
"It had to be said Mikey... he was getting out of hand." Don Muttered looking at the ground.
"Dude...look." Mikey hushed, pointing behind them.
James stood there, eyes wide and mouth hanging open.
"Uh...sup?" Mikey waved his three fingered hand at the young man.
Donnie nudged him in the side. Mikey let out a grunt then glared at his brother.
"Are you guys here to rescue y/n?" James quaked. "You look just like him!"
The boys looked at each other hesitantly. Leonardo approached the stranger.
"Like who?" Leo asked towering over James.
"Like...like.. Raphael.." The young man stammered looking up at the bulky mass over him.
"You know where my bro is!?" Mikey ran up.
James gulped and nodded quickly.
"Why should we trust you?" Leonardo questioned. He squinting his eyes at him, studying the man.
"Be... because..." James swallowed nervously. "Because, y/n is my friend. And they will kill her if you don't help. Please, they need you!" James found himself becoming more confident.
Leonardo thought for a second, he looked at his brothers. They grabbed their weapons signaling their approval.
"Alright then. We will trust you." Leonardo bowed his head. "Lead the way."
James ran past them going to one of the tower viewers and did the secret combination for the hidden entrance to open up.
"Oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!" Michelangelo squealed with excitement. "It's like in the movies!"
"This is as far as I go... In fact, I better get going or Brighton will kill me." James stepped back away from the entrance.
"Thanks for the vote of confidence." Leonardo scoffed.
"Sorry... just ya know.. in case?" The young man raised his shoulders.
"Pfft! We got this." Mikey winked.
"Oh! I'm so stupid! There is another combination door down there. I don't know it..." James hit his forehead with his fist. " I'm so sorry."
"No worries." Leo answered looking at Don. "We will figure it out."
"Really?" James marveled.
"Yeah, I'm kinda an expert." Donnie reassured him.
"Oh, Okay...uh... well, good luck!" And with that James was gone. Leaving the boys standing alone by the secret entrance.
"Good kid." Mikey side-smiled, nodding his head in thought. He stared into the dark staircase leading down. "Welp... here goes nothing!" He jumped down.
Leonardo went to follow behind but stopped when Donatello grabbed his arm.
"Leo." Donnie cleared his throat. "I um..." he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
"It's okay Don." Leonardo answered knowingly.
"I was out of line." Donatello stated apologetically.
"It needed to be said." Leo acknowledged sadly not looking him in the eyes.
"So...we good?" Donnie asked anxiously.
"Yeah." Leo nodded his head. "We good." He smiled.
Leonardo placed a hand on Don's shoulder and gave it a light squeeze. "Now, let's go get our family back."

Chapter Text
With swift movements and weapons ready, Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo charged into the lab. They let out their battle screams as the flipped into action. Screeching to a halt, the boys stood there confused. No one was in the lab except for two scientists huddled in the corner, shaking in fear of the giant turtles. The room was dim, flickering emergence lights showing the damage. All the tables were overturned. Papers and glass scattered across the floor, turning to mush as it soaked in the liquid of the shattered tank.
"Whatta dump." Mikey muttered as his foot crunched the broken glass.
"He...destroyed everything." Don's breathy voice was in disbelief.
Leonardo sheathed his weapons and marched over to the scientists. They whimpered and held each other tight. Leo bent down to their eye level and snorted out hot air in their faces.
"Please don't eat me!" The male scientists cried, making the woman beside him scoff and roll her eyes.
"Shut up, you're embarrassing." She hissed.
"Tell me where they went, and MAYBE I won't eat you!" Leonardo threatened in his face.
"I- uh- ple-please- please- ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!" The man started to hyperventilate, then scream, and ended in a pitiful sob.
Leonardo blinked awkwardly, and stepped back slowly not sure what to do. Mikey walked up beside Leo and watched the incoherent man over his brother's shoulder. The man continued to blubber through his tears and snot. Leonardo looked back at Donnie with a pleading look for help, but his brother was too busy inspecting the broken tank to notice.
"Dude what did you do?" Michelangelo asked confused, as he watched the poor man.
"I uh...I threatened to uh... eat him." Leonardo admitted, clearing his throat as he watched uncomfortably, not sure what was happening.
"Brooooooooo." Mikey scolded. "Okay. I got this." He cracked his knuckles.
Mikey stepped in front of Leo inching his way towards the man. The scientists pushed himself farther into the corner as Mikey approached him.
"Hey, heyyyy there. It's cool bruh. I ain't gonna hurt ya." Michelangelo cooed, holding out his hands. "We don't eat people. Totally a misconception dude. We eat pizza!" He exclaimed happily.
"You- pizza?" The mans sobbing fell silent as he sunk to the ground.
"He fainted!" Mikey stood there in awe.
"Great work." Leonardo patted him on the shell.
"He just- but... The Mikester charm!" The orange cladded turtle threw his hands in the air in a motion like he was flipping a table.
"Walk it off." Leo remarked walking past him and stepping over the passed out man.
"Now, let's try this again." He smiled at the woman scientists. "Where did they go ma'am?" Leonardo stood up straight, his shadow casting over her small frame.
"Raph!" Mikey screamed, spotting his brother across the lab on the floor.
The three of them ran to Raphael's still body. Leonardo and Michelangelo stepped back leaving room for Donnie to examine him.
"Is he..." Leonardo questioned anxiously.
"He's alive." Donatello confirmed, a sigh of relief coming out of all three of them. "His pupils are responsive, He should be waking up soon."
A loud crack was heard and they turned around to see a doorway appear in the concrete wall. The woman scientists watched them closely, dropping the remote that must have opened the secret door.
"They... they went that way." She said with a ghost of a smile.
"Mikey, you stay with Raph till he wakes up." Leonardo commanded. "Donatello, you're with me!"
Michelangelo saluted, and Donnie followed behind as they ran towards the door. Leonardo stopped beside the woman and bowed his head in thanks. She returned his gesture with a faint hint of a blush. They continued on through the secret passage and Donatello snorted at his brother.
"Smooth." Donnie remarked.
---
"Let me go!" You were kicking and screaming in Brighton's arms as he dragged you towards the helicopter.
You swung at him and your fist collided with his face. His normally calm demeanor was gone, he now resembled a cornered animal. His fixed hair blew violently in the wind as he spat out blood from his snarled lips.
"Enough!" He threw you to the ground, scrapping your flesh against the concrete as you landed.
Staring at the concrete floor you blinked back tears, your elbows burned. You could tell your emotions wanted to start up, maybe it was the hormones, or maybe it was the blood and dirt mixed on your forearms. You really couldn't tell. Anger flooded through your veins, helping numb the pain your body was in.
Fumbling around Brighton pulled out his remote. He looked like he was losing control.
"Remember I'm in charge!" He threatened you.
"I know! I KNOW. The fucking remote!" You let out an exasperated cry. "You go on, and on, and oooooon about that remote! Go ahead! Kill me! If I die, so does your creation!" You laughed.
Brighton made a small choking sound, like he was holding back a scream. He smoothed out his suit before bending down and grabbing your collar, pulling you up. He pulled you in close to his face, his grip on your shirt choking you.
"You little shit." He spoke through gritted teeth.
"Undone so easily?" You weakly snickered at him.
He backhanded you across the cheek. You growled as the skin tore at his contact and burned. He pulled you in closer till your faces were inches apart.
"I won't kill you y/n. But you're going to wish I did." He spoke in a low grating voice.
"I hate to spoil your plans..." You gasped in disbelief as Leonardo's voice filled your ears.
Brighton's eyes grew big and he whipped around.
"But Y/n will be coming with me." Leonardo finished with a sly smile.
The look on Leo's face when he made eye contact with you was like a burden had just been lifted off his shoulders. He found you.
Your cheeks felt like they were on fire, tears burned as they fell over your raw skin. But you didn't care. They came. You were going home.
"Leo!" Your voice broke.
Leonardo swallowed hard, like he was holding back his own emotions. He smiled at you, keeping eye contact, as though if he looked away you would disappear forever. But his smile soon faded when Brighton cleared his throat, reminding him this wasn't over.
"Incredible." Brighton breathed in awe.
Leonardo flexed his muscles as he tightened his grip on his katanas. Brighton stepped closer, still holding you tight in his grip.
"Just look at you... absolutely fantastic!" Brighton's giddy laughter filling the tense air.
Leo watched the man's steps closely. Brighton noticed the turtle steal a worried glance towards you. The man looked at you in thought, then back to Leonardo.
"How very interesting." Brighton's laughter making you squirm. "Does Raphael know?"
Leonardo didn't answer, but glared at him. Watching for the opportune moment to attack.
"I have an idea." Brighton shifted your body so you were blocking his body from Leonardo. He placed his chin on your shoulder and studied Leo.
"Why don't you join us instead. I do believe I might have picked the wrong turtle. You are obviously smarter." Brighton's voice was smooth as butter.
"I mean look at you... you're amazing. But you knew that already, didn't you?" He looked at you and frowned. "I bet you wish she knew... I mean look, here you are. And where is Raphael? Her precious lover?"
Brighton looked back to Leonardo. "He doesn't deserve her does he? ...or... her precious seed."
"You don't know him." Leonardo spoke through gritted teeth.
"And what has he ever done for you?" Brighton inquired.
"Everything. He's my brother." Leonardo answered. Brighton let out a sharp laugh.
"What good is that? Brothers, they question your authority. They never listen. But we know better don't we? We are the smart ones. The ones that will change the future! Brothers, bleh, they just hold you back! Come with us Leonardo." Brighton stepped back with you towards the helicopter.
Leonardo instinctively stepped forward after you both and Brighton held the remote up with a tisk.
"Oh no, no. You put those away." Brighton motioned at Leo's weapons.
Leonardo froze but still held on tight to his swords. Brighton tilted his head and sighed.
"You see this little collar on y/n? Well I press this button and she dies. Are we clear? Now, drop them, and slide them over." Brighton smiled as Leonardo did what he was told.
"You're going to wish you hadn't spoken to him like that." You sneered at your captor.
"I'm getting tired of your lippy nature. I've tried to be patient with you, but you are proving to be quite the nuisance." He squeezed tighter on your throat.
"That's a shame. And here I thought we were getting along so well." You replied horsely.
Brighton huffed and grabbed a fistful of your hair. With his other hand he pressed hard the small remote to the side of your head, the metal digging into your skin.
"Now. I want to play a little game. This game is called Brighton is in charge." The man sung out.
Leonardo's first tightened as he watched. He looked at his weapons on the ground in front of him. He could get to them but not before Brighton could press that button. He mentally cursed. He heard Brighton whistle and he looked back up.
"Tell me who's in charge here Leonardo?" Brighton asked with a cocky smile.
Leonardo inhaled deeply. His lips were in a tight thin line as he stood there glaring at Brighton in silence.
"Don't make me repeat myself." Brighton smiled dangerously. He tightened his grip, yanking your hair, causing you to let out a yelp of pain.
"Take me instead." Leonardo spoke.
"Leo-" You tried to argue but Brighton cut you off.
"That's not what I asked. The time for negotiation is over Leonardo. Now..." Brighton leaned his head against yours. "WHO, is in charge? "
"You are." Leonardo answered coldly.
"Good. That wasn't so hard now was it?" Brighton smiled.
The man studied you, watching your face as it would turn to pain when he would twist your hair in his fist. You cursed under your breath at him. He hummed to himself then looked back to Leonardo with a mischievous glimmer in his eyes.
"I want you to tell y/n how you feel Leonardo." Brighton commanded.
"Please don't do this." You whispered, pleading with the man.
"Maybe you should have behaved more..." He spat coldly. "Besides, I'm a sucker for a good drama." Brighton grinned wickedly.
"Look at her Leonardo. I want you to look at her." Brighton tapped the remote against your temple.
You closed your eyes as tears began to stream down your cheeks.
"Tell her. Tell her how you wish this was your child, don't you? You want y/n to be yours. Not Raphael's..." Brighton continued to jeer.
You couldn't hear Leonardo making any sounds. He wasn't answering any of Brighton's questions. You opened your eyes only to be met with Leo's icy blue gaze. It felt like your blood was freezing. You thought you saw Leonardo tremble, but you couldn't have, he was too strong to let Brighton's words get to him... right?
"...You think she's beautiful don't you? You wish you were the one spending the nights in her apartment..." Brighton continued to nag at Leo.
Leonardo didn't answer. He just stood there, his fingers twitched, his lips were taut, brows furrowed. His eyes were fixed on yours, full of emotions, stormy like the sea. You felt so small, you opened your mouth to try to speak but you had nothing to say. Your throat was dry, and you tried to swallow.
"Her scent. All those secret glances you steal... I wager she's all you think about... Tell her. You love y/n don't you Leonardo?" Brighton finished with a scoff.
Leonardo broke eye contact with you and looked at the ground.
"I SAID. You love her don't you." Brighton yanked your hair. You growled.
Leonardo whispered something you couldn't hear.
"Look up here! Answer me Leonardo." Brighton spoke with authority.
Leonardo met your eyes once more, they were full of guilt and tears.
"Yes." Leonardo answered quietly.
Your breath hitched in your throat.
"I want you to tell her." Brighton articulated every word.
"I-" Leonardo's guilty eyes filled with sadness. "I love you." His voice caught in his throat.
You closed your eyes. Your heart felt like it was shattered. The air felt thick and you couldn't breathe.
"You fucking bastard." You choked out.
The man looked at you and frowned. With a quick movement he tossed you to the ground. With a grunt you fell on your hip and cursed, but stayed down when you saw Donatello crawling over from the helicopter. How did you not see him before? 'Ninja.' You thought to yourself with a huff. Don motioned for you to stay put and you didn't dare move to alert Brighton of his presence. You weren't even sure how much you could move, your body hurt. And to top it all off, you felt like a watermelon was implanted in your stomach.
"Now, was that so hard?" Brighton took a step closer to Leonardo.
"I'm going to take you down." Leonardo replied, taking a deep breathe.
"No. Im going to take the world down. I'm in charge. We are going to welcome in a new era. And you two are going to help me." Brighton stepped over Leonardo's Katanas.
"You're crazy." Leo answered.
Brighton frowned. He held up the remote and placed his finger on the button. Leonardo stepped forward smugly. The man looked at the turtle confused as to why he wasn't afraid. Leonardo quickly stretched his hand out grabbing ahold of Brighton's hand and the remote inside. Brighton's eyes grew wide as he heard a click, and felt a pinch around his neck. Leonardo squeezed his hand, triggering the collar now around Brighton's neck. Raphael let out a growl and Brighton knew exactly who had placed the collar.
"My brothers don't hold me back." Leonardo stated proudly.
The man clawed at his throat trying to rip the collar off. He collapsed to the ground convulsing as the poison spread throughout his body. As he foamed at the mouth Brighton's vision began to fade, but not before he was able to see the four turtles standing above him.
"There's four? ... incredible." He wheezed out as the lights in his eyes dimmed.
---
You stood, leaning against the helicopter holding yourself. Raphael ran to you. He fell to his knees in front of you and stared at your pregnant stomach. He gently placed his hands on you belly, and kissed it breathing in your scent. Standing up, he pulled you into his arms. His chest heaved and you could hear his heart beating fast.
"Let's go home." He mumbled into your hair.
Home. Just that word made your chest swell up with emotion. You let out the breath you had been holding and all your emotions broke free at once, you sobbed into his chest. He held you tight, whispering sweet nothings into your ears. You were finally going home. You pulled away enough to motion for the others to come, and Mikey and Donnie joined in on the hug. You smiled as you felt protected and safe. You wiped at your face and tried to catch your breath. Raphael's thumb wiped at your tears, as he smiled at you. Donnie and Mikey stepped back giving you some air space. You frowned when you looked around.
"Where's Leo?" You asked confused.
Donatello and Michelangelo looked at each other knowingly then back to you with a sad smile.
"Probably went to go tell Splinter the good news!" Mikey tried to sound optimistic.
"Oh..." you said quietly.
"Don't worry about him, he'll be okay." Donnie placed a hand on your shoulder gently. "But, you on the other hand need to get back to the lab so I can check you out."
"Okay." You smiled at Donatello. "But Don, do me a favor...Don't say lab." You sighed, tiredly leaning against Raphael.

Chapter Text
The next few hours were a whirlwind of emotions, and chaotic commotions all around you, but, you finally made it back to the lair. Raphael was summoned by Master Splinter, and he reluctantly left you to be examined by Don. After running some tedious test, you were passed off with a clean bill of health. Despite going through nine months of pregnancy in one evening, there were no worrisome signs. The baby and mother seemed to be completely healthy, that is, besides your battered body. But considering what you had been through Donatello was quite impressed. He suspected mutagen was the cause for this, he had found minute traces in your blood work. But he assured you there would be no mutations, somehow Brighton had figured out a way to lace small amounts of mutagen in your blood without the mutation side effects. This would make sense as to why you were able to conceive, or how your wounds were healing so quickly. But Don would have to look farther into the matter later, right now you needed to get to bed.
Donnie cleaned up your wounds, and stitched you up. His tongue stuck out as he concentrated, his magnified glasses balancing on the tip of his beak. You smiled and couldn't help the tears that leaked.
"I missed you." You touched his cheek.
You took a shaky breath trying to keep your emotions from exploding, and once more you reminded yourself you were safe now.
His lips quivered and you could see the tears begin to swell in his eyes.
"I missed you too." His voice squeaked. "I'm sorry it took us so long." He hung his head in shame.
"Hey, didn't you hear? I'm a motherfucking badass." You joked lifting his chin back up to look at you. "I held my own...What matters is you guys came." You added gently.
He chucked, and took off his glassed to wipe the tears from his face. He returned them and shook his head, smiling at you.
"You're going to be a mother." He stated astonished.
"Yeah..." You breathed out in disbelief.
For a moment Donatello thought he saw panic or even horror on your face, but then your expression changed and you gave him a giant grin.
"And you're going to be and uncle." You leaned in and whispered mischievously.
Donnie blinked surprised, he hadn't thought of that. He looked at your stomach blank faced and stared.
"Uncle Don..." he thought out loud. "I think...I think I like the sound of that!" He gave you a goofy half grin
You giggled as he placed his head on your stomach to say goodnight to your child.
"Time for mommy to get some rest." He gently spoke. "Uncle Don can't wait to meet you, my little genius." He patted.
"Little genius? You think so?" You asked as he helped you off the examination table.
"Of course, I mean, look at his uncle." He puffed his chest out proudly, but then had to adjust his glasses making you giggle.
"Nerd." You fake coughed and smiled. He grabbed at his heart pretending to be hurt, and you pushed at him playfully.
Donatello helped you towards the door and you frowned.
"Do you think Leo will come back?" You looked at him with worried eyes.
"I-" Donnie looked away as he thought. "...he just needs time to work things out. I'm sure he'll come back." He looked back to you and smiled guiding you out the doorway. "Right now, You need rest. Go get some sleep."
- - -
You took a quick shower and put on some clean clothing. None of your clothes fit anymore so you settled for one of Raphael's hoodies. Not only was it big enough to cover your protruding stomach, but it fell to just above your knees. You marveled at how grateful you felt for this one sweatshirt, it had been so long since you had anything clean on. Your heart was overwhelmed and it was almost enough to make you bawl like a child.
"Fucking hormones." You cursed under your breath.
You sat on the edge of Raphael's bed and played with the fabric beneath your fingers. It all felt so foreign, you had gotten use to the cell. You felt like a stranger here... except the warmth you felt in your belly sitting here told you otherwise. It's amazing how a sewer is more homey than where you had been kept. You let out a snort as the thought crossed your mind.
You mindlessly swung your legs as you looked around the room. Pictures and posters plastered the walls. Some weights and boxing gloves thrown in the corner. A small shelf holding a picture of you and Raphael, another photo of his brothers, some rocks and knickknacks he thought were cool. You spotted a little succulent plant you had gotten him and smiled, he hadn't killed it yet. Something else caught your attention though, your flask sat on his shelf. You squinted your eye in an attempt to see what was carved into the side of it. 'Some Ninja.' It read. Why would he have that?
The door quietly opened and Raphael appeared. He stopped for a moment as if he was assessing whether or not he was welcomed here.
"Are ya- uh, how ya feeling?" He asked awkwardly.
"I'm okay." You answered just as awkwardly.
He nodded his head. You both watched each other, neither speaking. Until the silence grew too uncomfortable for you to handle.
"It feels like this is a dream." You breathed out, looking around the room. "Like...I'm just gonna wake up and none of this will be real." You hadn't expected to, but you started to cry.
Raphael quickly came to your side, and pulled you into his arms.
"This ain't a dream babe, yer really here." He comforted. "Yer here with me."
"I know it's all over, and I'm safe now...but... I'm still so scared." You hiccuped through your weeping.
"R-Raph... shit... I was so scared..." You finally admitted for the first time out loud.
"Y/n..I'm so sorry." He breathed out sharply. "I'm so sorry."
You cried in his arms as he continued to sooth, you listened to his heartbeat. His breathing, his scent. The way his bulk completely engulfed you when he held you. Everything about him was reminding your senses that you were safe, and you were home.
You whimpered as your tears quit falling, leaning back you let out a soft giggled as you tried to wipe the snot and drool off his chest. 'Why am I like this.' You thought, annoyed with yourself.
Raphael smirked as he watched, that smirk that made your heart melt, and you pulled his face in to give him a kiss. Raph smiled into the kiss, but pulled back. His face contorted as he struggled with his thoughts.
"You okay?" You asked confused.
"Do-" He stopped and let out a sigh
"Raphael what is it?" You cupped his face, and he leaned into it and closed his eyes.
Raph slid down onto the floor in front of you and held your hands. A painful expression occupied his face and he tightened his jaw.
"Raph, I swear if you don't tell me what's wrong..." You threatened.
"Do ya want to be with Leo instead of me?" He blurted out, his hands trembling.
"What?" You looked at him dumbfounded.
"I just want ya to be happy, and if he's the one that makes ya happy... I mean...If-" His words were dripping with anguish, your mouth hung open as you watched him ramble.
"Where the crap is this coming from?" You shook your head.
"Are you in love with him?" He asked so sadly it was almost cute.
"You dummy." You sighed. "I'm in love with you." You leaned forward and kissed him with great intention, your lips knowing exactly what to do to show him how you felt.
You knew each other. It came as easy as breathing, a twist of your lips, a nip here, a lick along his scar. He had melted under your control, and all was right once more. Whatever doubts he had was long gone as he followed your lead. Raph cupped your face, rubbing your cheek with his thumb. You grinned into the kiss, you had almost forgotten just how big his hands were.
"Raphaeeeelll" You sung playfully between kisses.
"Hm?" He grunted as he hungrily accepted the attention you were giving him.
You bit on his bottom lip and pulled back, bringing his lip with you. You released his lip and it made a smacking sound as it hit his teeth. You giggled as lust clouded his half lidded eyes. You bit your lip as you soaked in the view. 'Fuck he's cute.' You thought to yourself amused.
"Raphael." You spoke again.
"Hmm? What is it?" He cleared his throat, trying to gain composure of himself.
"You're gonna be a dad." You whispered with a twinkle in your eyes.
" 's Fucking crazy right?" Raph whispered back.
"Yeah... it is..." You placed a hand on your stomach as you thought about it. "Poor kid. His parents are freaking weird..."
Raphael frowned, and looked at you hurt. You looked up at him and smiled at him fondly.
"Mom's a sarcastic asshole, and daddy likes to knit." You finished with a beaming smile.
"And I love her sarcastic asshole." He smirked at you.
"Ooo, kinky. I like the sound of that." You winked at him.
"Freak." He muttered.
"Look who's talking grandma!" You shoved him playfully.
"Hey! Ya never complained 'bout my knitting before!" He growled teasingly leaning over you, reminding you just how much bigger he was than you.
"Yeah? Well, how about you teach me a lesson, and show me everything those big hands can do... knitter boy." You bit your lip, pulling him onto the bed.

Leonardo walked quietly into the lair, it was late into the night and he was carful not to wake anyone. Leo had spent the last few hours meditating and he had come to a decision.
Leo approached his father's room and knocked on the door quietly before opening it. Master Splinter sat in the corner with his eyes closed, incense and candles burning around him.
"I am sorry to disturb you Sensei, but may we speak?" Leonardo bowed respectfully waiting for his Masters reply.
"I always have time for my sons." Splinter replied without opening his eyes.
Leonardo silently shut the door and knelt down in front of his Father.
"I am glad you returned Leonardo." Splinter added, lighting another incense stick with his tail.
"Sensei...That's actually what I came here to talk about..." Leonardo shifted uncomfortably as Master Splinter opened his eyes to give him his full attention.
"I see." His Father said thoughtfully. Leo was sure he already knew what he was going to say.
"I- ..." Leonardo licked his lips, his throat felt dry. Why was this so hard? He closed his eyes and swallowed hard. "I don't want to lead anymore."
"Hm..." Splinter looked concerned.
"I am sorry." Leo looked down so he could no longer see his Sensei's face.
"You no longer wish to lead? Or feel you are not capable?" He asked gently.
Leonardo looked up at his father, his eyes were swollen and red. As much as he had planned on being tough, he couldn't hide his pain from his father.
"I am not fit to lead." Leonardo had to force the words out.
"I see." The rat stroked his chin as he contemplated this. "Well. If this is what you believe... but may I ask, why do you think you are not fit to lead?"
"I... I... I did things Sensei...horrible things. I needed to find out where y/n was. And I..." Leo looked at his hands in disgust. "I liked it. Sensei I liked it! I enjoyed hurting him. I let my anger take control, I wanted him to pay for what he did to y/n... how-"
Leonardo looked at the ceiling in shame, he couldn't look at his Father. He took a steadying breath.
"How am I supposed to lead...when I can't even control my own emotions." Leo closed his eyes and shook his head. "There is no place for me here. Not with what I've done." He finished with a whispered.
"Leonardo." Leo winced as his Father said his name. "A leader sometimes must make the hard choices... You did what was necessary...so your brothers would not have to. And this is the cost of a leader. There are burdens we must bare to protect the ones we love. Trials we must endure, decisions we must make that others do not face. It is our duty."
Splinter knelt down in front of Leonardo and cupped the sides of his face to look at him. Leo lost his composure when he noticed tears in his Father's eyes.
"You brought back my daughter, and son." Master Splinter smiled. "And I will forever be grateful for this." Tears dripped off his whiskers.
"I am very proud of you Leonardo." He wrapped his arms around Leo, holding his son as he wept.
"And I will be proud no matter what you decide."

Leonardo left his father's room and headed for bed. They had come to the agreement that Leo wouldn't make any final decisions until he had slept. He made a detour into the kitchen to get himself some water. Leo sighed content as the cool liquid soothed his dry throat. With a sigh he tilted his head to the side letting his neck crack. It's been a long week... Weeks... months.... okay, maybe he really did need some sleep.
"Leo?" You spoke groggily, rubbing your eyes.
The sound of your voice made him drop the cup and he cursed under his breath. He wasn't expecting anyone to be up. Leo turned to see you standing in the kitchen, yawning tiredly.
"Y/n...Heyyyy." He waved awkwardly looking at you with puffy eyes.
"Hey." You mouthed back, shifting your feet.
Several uncomfortable seconds passed and Leo made a noise in his throat.
"You-...you're pregnant." He winced at himself for stating the obvious.
"Yeah...heh.. I am." You answered with an empathetic expression.
"You look good." He smiled sadly.
"Thanks." You replied under your breath.
The air was tense, you didn't know what to do or say to fix any of this. Leonardo stood very still and stiff like he was holding his breath.
"About what happened..." He forced out.
"Leo... it's okay. Really." You gave him a half smile.
"Cool." He nodded. "I should go." The discomfort obvious in his countenance.
He quickly maneuvered past you but you grabbed his wrist as Leo tried to exit. You knew he could have easily escaped your grasp but he didn't. He stood there for you, his eyes bore into you. The pain in them silently asking why you were making him undergo this suffering. Choking back tears, you wrapped your arms around his waist, clinging to him.
"Thank you for saving us Leonardo..." You whimpered into his chest.
He shook his head with a huff, and wrapped his arms around you. Leo gently rested his chin on the top of your head and let out a shaky breath.
"I will always save you y/n." He breathed out. "We're family."
You heard a gruff voice clear his throat and you looked to see Raphael standing in the doorway. Leonardo gently pulled away from the hug and looked at his feet.
"Don't worry, I'm going." Leo said wanly.
"No ya ain't." Raphael contradicted in a low guttural voice.
You could feel the tension between them and you stepped back. Leonardo clenched his fist readying himself for a fight.
"Raph, I'm not in the moo-" He warned, exhausted.
Leo froze. With a flash of red, Raphael charged at him. Leonardo closed his eyes waiting for the first punch, but...there was no pain. Leo opened his eyes to see His brother had wrapped his arms around him. Leo stood still in Raphael's embrace waiting for his brother to attack... but he didn't. Leonardo couldn't see Raph's face, but he could have sworn he was crying. Confused, Leo slowly raised his arms, hesitantly returning his brother's hug.
"I love you big bro." Raphael whispered.
Leonardo felt like he had the wind knocked out of him. He wasn't expecting this reaction at all. He held Raphael tight.
"I love you too, Raph." Leo breathed out. He squeezed his eyes shut, his tears escaping down his cheek.
You watched them and couldn't help the tears that fell down your face. The amount of pride you felt for these two... it felt like your heart might burst.
There was a trickling down your leg and you looked down confused. 'Did ya fucking pee yourself y/n?' Your eyes widened when you realized what it was.
"Raph!" You gasped.
Both of the boys separated from the hug and gave their attention back to you.
"What's wrong babe?" Raphael asked worried.
"I think my water broke!" You squeaked.
"What!?" Came Raph's panicked reply.
You grabbed ahold of the kitchen table trying to steady yourself. Raphael looked to Leonardo with pleading eyes.
"Leo! Whatta we do!?" The fear in his voice was obvious.
Leonardo stared at his brother, his mouth agape.
"Shit Leo! whatta I- I'm not... I'm not ready!" Raphael shook his head violently through his anxious whispers. "Leo, I don't know anything about being a dad! I-I-I-" Raphael began to hyperventilate.
"Raph! Snap out of it!" Leonardo grabbed his brother by the shoulders, shaking him. "Go wake Donnie."
Raphael nodded his head to Leonardo's order and bolted for Donatello's room. Leo quickly approached you and pulled out a chair guiding you to sit.
"Leo! I can't do this!" You grabbed his arms, digging your fingernails into them.
"It's going to be okay." He soothed. "Raph is getting Donnie."
"I'm not ready to be a mom Leo... I- I- I can't- I-" Your breathing became sporadic.
"Hey, hey. Y/n, Look at me. Look at me." He gently grabbed your face forcing you to look into his eyes. "Everything is going to be okay."
"But-I-" You choked, clutching his arms for dear life. Emotions swelling in your throat, making it hard to breathe.
"No buts. Look at me y/n." The strength in his eyes making you feel safe. "You're going to be a great mom. You hear me? " He smiled reassuringly. "And you won't have to do it alone. You have us." He spoke softly.
Leonardo inhaled deeply keeping eye contact, and you mimicked his motions. In and out, in and out.
"We got you." Leo spoke authoritative, his eyes calming you more than his words.
"Okay." You exhaled trying to steady your breathing.
"Okay?" He replied firmly.
"Okay." You whispered back with a nod.
A very frazzled Donatello and a pale Raphael ran into the kitchen, soon followed by an excited Mikey.
"Get her to the lab!" Donnie ordered running ahead of everyone to the lab to prepare.
Raphael came up to you and you reached for him, clutching his arms like you had Leonardo. Raph led you towards the lab and you turned your head and gave Leo an uneasy nod.
"I'm ready." You swallowed.

To say the next seven hours were nerve racking would be an understatement. Only Donatello and Raphael were allowed in the lab, the rest of them had to wait in the living room listening to your screams and cursing. Casey and April had come rights away. They sat on the couch patently as Leonardo paced. Mikey stood with his head pressed to the door trying to hear everything that went on, giving everyone updates along the way. There were a couple scares along the way, but so far things seemed to be going well.
"Dudes! Dudes! Listen!" Mikey jumped up and down then pressed his head back to the door.
There was one final roar that came from your lungs, then silence. Everyone froze in their spot to listen. After a tense moment of silence the most relieving sound came, the cries of a newborn infant. Everyone jumped up and stood excitedly by the door waiting. The door opened, and Donatello's exhausted face popped out.
"You guys can come in now." He wiped the sweat from his forehead with a rag.
One by one they trailed in, Raphael sat by your bed holding a little bundle.
"Well?" Casey grinned.
"It's a girl." Raphael beamed, the look in his eyes was utter adoration.
Everyone broke out in a cheer. Master Splinter let out a sound that could only be described as a school girl squeal, and did a most impressive backflip. Silence fell and all eyes were on him with shock.
"What?" He asked in his noble tone. "I am a grandfather!" He clapped his hands together with a giddy laugh.
Laughter erupted once more and Mikey shushed everyone, running over to the baby.
"Let me see!" Mikey held out his hand with a gimme gimme motion.
"No way, you'll break her!" Raph pulled her in closer.
Mikey gave you a heartbroken glance and you reached over, stroking Raphael's arm. He looked at you and let out a defeated sigh.
"...Be careful." Raphael mumbled, reluctantly handing over his baby girl.
"Ooooohmygosh!" Mikey squeaked. "She's beautiful." He pealed back the blanket.
The delicate little infant slept soundly. Her beak crinkled as she breathed. Her skin pigmentation looked closer to yours, but tiny scales scattered across her cheek and forehead.
"Does she have a shell?" Mikey asked, gently stroking her little cheek in awe.
"Not technically." Donnie replied, looking over Mikey's shoulder fondly at the little one. "But she does have scutes around her shoulder blades. They may grow bigger but we will have to wait and see."
"Can I?" Leonardo asked sheepishly. Mikey handed the babe over with a pout.
Leo smiled, studying her face. She really was gorgeous. So tiny in his arms, precious, unscathed by the world. Leonardo leaned down, touching his forehead to hers and made a vow in his heart. He would always be there to protect her.
"What's her name?" April asked. Casey held April, they watched the baby with affection in their eyes.
You and Raphael looked at each other and smiled. You grabbed his hand and he gave it a squeeze.
"Leonie." Raphael answered with a smirk.
"Heyyyy that kinda sounds like-" Mikey thought out loud, shooting an excited look at Leo.
"Leo." Leonardo whispered, finishing Mikey's thought.
"Really?" Leo questioned, a wide smile spreading across his face as he looked at you.
With a giggle you nodded, and looked to Raphael with approval.
"Ya better not make me regret it." Raph jokingly rolled his eyes at Leo.
Little Leonie yawned and everyone circled around to dote upon her. You felt your cheeks warm up and you realized you had started crying...AGAIN. But this time, it was tears of happiness. Raph put his arm around you and pulled you in, you both watched as everyone admired your baby. You were parents now. There was so much joy in your heart. Raphael cleared his throat and you looked up at him with love.
"So...I was thinking..." He seemed nervous, or maybe uncertain? You couldn't tell.
"What's wrong?" You sat up, knitting your brows together.
"I- I mean- Ya think..well..." A bead of sweat dripped down his forehead as he tried to form a sentence.
"Raphael, what is it?" You asked worried.
He let out a frustrated grunt, then swallowed hard turning to face you.
"Ya wanna marry me?" Raphael grabbed your hand, kneeling beside the bed. You stared at him then smiled a big toothy grin.
"Yes." You tugged at Raph and he leaned over the bed. Resting your fingers on his chin, you kissed him and laughed into his lips.
"What?" His smirked, hovering over you mouth.
You shook you head with a dreamy look, and let out a sigh. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you looked into his twinkling eyes.
"You really are some ninja." You spoke before kissing him.
THE FREAKING END.
*que that part at the ending of the movies where the screen fades to black and it tells you what happened in their lives with text and lovely music*
James went on to lead a small team of Brighton's ex-scientists and started his own research company. His work has become one of the leading benefactors in modern medicine.
April never retrieved her lost memories, but with the help of her loved ones she was able to build her life back up. She is still a successful reporter, and godmother to Leonie.
Casey proposed to April soon after you and Raphael were married. They are talking about having kids that way Leonie will have some playmates.
Leonardo was asked out by the woman scientists he met in Brighton's lair. To this day he still has no clue how she got his number, but he suspects Donnie has something to do about it. Her name is Kathine, Leo calls her kat and they have been going steady.
Donnie makes toys for Leonie in his spare time. He found a child's dictionary with pictures for her to look at. So far she just likes chewing on it.
Mikey is designated babysitter and he loves it. Finally someone has as much energy as he does. He has a skateboard hit away for when she is old enough. Raphael doesn't know.
Master Splinter has already started teaching her to meditate, even if she is napping when he does so.
Leonie's first word was "pizza" thanks to uncle Mikey. Much to your displeasure.
Raphael keeps your hot chocolate flask on his shelf as a reminder of what he almost lost, and to remind him what he will always fight for.
