    The Clone Wars were an aberration. They were never supposed to happen.

    Rex and Ahsoka, joined in the past by Fives & Echo, work to use their chance to circumvent the dark plans of Sidious, juggling their efforts to save the future with the needs of maintaining their security in the past. The Clones who work with them, the Jedi at large, and even some elements of the Senate are beginning to notice that something is Not Quite Right about the Jedi Padawan who isn't, and threats loom in every shadow. Some of them, the time-travelers know are coming, but others spring up in their midst without warning, and still others stem from the changes they're making to the future.

    YEAR 2 covers the events of 21BBY, sticking as close to the canon timeline as Year 1, but with the focus more on the relationships between clones, Jedi, the Republic and others.

    The Endgame IS Rexsoka, but that is still a LONG way off, though the beginnings of pining will be much more prominent in this installment than in the first one. You do NOT have to read Year 1, but there may be a few blips of confusion.

      [It is not Ahsoka’s place to push, or to puppeteer.

      The people of the Galaxy have to learn how to save themselves, and they have to discover the will to do so on their own as well.

      “Peace seems like such a fragile thing, sometimes,” Riyo admits softly. “Sometimes I wonder if our efforts truly make a difference. If all our sacrifices are worth it in the end.”

      “I think it depends on what we’re willing to sacrifice,” Ahsoka replies. “I think sacrificing our morals in pursuit of the ‘Greater Good’ isn’t generally the right answer, but I can’t say I haven’t done it, or asked it of others. I think sacrificing the lives of good people or the comforts of Home or a child’s illusion of safety can be justified, in the right circumstances, but I don’t think the question should ever get easier to answer.”

      “It’s to be a constant struggle, then? I suppose, as a Jedi, you have unique insight on the constant push and pull between Light and Dark,” Riyo sighs.

      Ahsoka shakes her head and retorts firmly, “It’s not a struggle, it’s a balance.”

      When Riyo blinks like the rebuttal struck a chord, Ahsoka goes on, “It’s not a fight you can just win and be done with. It’s… It’s more like a garden in need of constant pruning. Too many dandelions will strangle most vegetables; stunt the production of food… But get rid of all of them and the soil often loses all its nutrients, and needs them to be artificially replenished. If you let some stay… if you learn to enjoy a good dandelion tea… the garden can grow forever.”

       

      Riyo nods slowly— more to herself than to Ahsoka.

      “I believe that re-framing makes more sense than any other justification for sacrifice I’ve heard,” she says softly. “Thank you, Ahsoka. You have given me much to think about.”]
