Summary
He'd felt it growing inside him since he first made the deal- a weight dragging him down, keeping him from [[HEAVEN]]. He knew if he completed his end of the bargain he'd be free of it, so he pretended it wasn't there. When you're at the top you can't help but look down and feel every burden and bit of unwanted knowledge ready to throw you off and sink you to the bottom, so you just have to work harder until you can [anchors away!] and leave it all behind. Keep smiling, keep acting, and they'll never know just how afraid you really are.
Now the deal was off, and that [ball and chain] was heavier than ever, pressing at him from the inside of his skin like a [[worm]] writhing in its cocoon.

One annoyingly persistent little mailman appearing without warning was enough to cement Tenna's already sour mood- but the little guy can't be all bad! Maybe the CRT should give him a second chance; besides, as they say- don't shoot the messenger!

Inspired by starridge's factory settings au!
“[Strings]...” Spamton Addison muttered to himself. Like a puppet? Maybe instead of words, he could trigger memories with actions. It was worth a shot. A [BIG SHOT].

Spamton still has the loaded disk. Tenna still has a DVD drive. It’s the quickest way to catch up, they decide, no commercial breaks. And with an exhausting trip down memory lane ahead of them, Tenna isn’t sure he wants to say goodbye to everyone and everything he knows in favor of a new audience. Maybe nostalgia really is in style…

Summary
Tenna blinked, not expecting the question. “Oh! Uh, I suppose it depends… it’s, er…” He laughed awkwardly again, rubbing the back of his neck. “A bit of a sensitive area? So doing it myself can be difficult. It’s not all that complicated, though.”
“You don’t say.” Spamton’s eyes glinted, and he placed his empty glass on the table with a soft clink. “You know, Ant, I could help you out with it, if you’d like. You could say I’m… familiar with the CRT instruction manual.”
Tenna stiffened completely, hand frozen on the back of his neck. There was- there was no way Spamton was really suggesting that, was he? He must’ve misheard him.

Summary
The Cyber World. A world where computer programs work hard to keep up with demand and where add programs climb to the top to get as many clicks as one can get.
In a world where perfection seems almost mandatory, being a defect program can make the bridge between failure and success more difficult.
This story follows Spamton G. Spamton, or Spam M. Addison, as he is referred to in the beginning of the story. This story is an au of how I imagined his pre and post big shot era to go.
He will meet people and go to places he had never imagined himself to go, but he will also face hardships and stand face to face with the loss of himself and the ones he holds dear. -

After a long day at the studio, both Tenna and Spamton need a break. They're not close enough yet to feel they can relax around each other, though. It'll take a cultural faux pas to get to that point.

We know well enough what happens after he gets that first phone call. How he becomes dependent and obsessive over every single ring from the phone that keeps him at the top. But what exactly happens after he loses it all? After he tries to run, to stay at the top, but still gets kicked out of Queen's mansion?
Also known as: I wanted to explore the blank space between his eviction and when he meets Kris, and so this was born from the recesses of my mind. I'm excited to see how bad everything is behind Spamton's eccentric and manic exterior :)

Info about hiatus in end note of chapter 5
...
A moment of silence passed before he felt his blood run cold as the dumpster behind him shook, and a shadow fell over him.
“Well, well, well, what do we have here?”
Spamton gulped, glancing up at the giant shape of a colorful werewire staring down at him from above.
“Oh?” The pippin turned, and their eyes met for a second before they grinned, “Oh! A new playmate!”
...
“[Trash Heap]?”
For a moment, nothing happened as they stared at each other, before Tenna whipped out a familiar foam spray, screeching like an enraged tasque.
“Ewwww!!!!!! It talks!!!!!”
Spamton flinched, covering his head as the CRT jammed down the trigger.
