What he’s got so far:1. He lives with a man named Wade and an old lady named Blind Al and the ugliest dog he’s ever seen in his life inexplicably named Mary.
2. He’s still an X-Man, or at least working with the X-Men, but he doesn’t live there anymore. Maybe he moved out of the mansion to live with Wade? He can’t imagine why they’d choose this shithole instead of there, but maybe Blind Al had something to do with it? She wasn’t frail by any means, but living alone in the city, blind and elderly, can’t be easy, and in his experience the older people get the more stubborn they become. She probably refused to leave and Wade stayed to take care of her. And Logan had moved in at some point when they became serious.
Because that’s the third thing he’s figured out. Wade is his boyfriend - or partner, as he’d put it earlier. (Boyfriend did sound a bit immature for men their ages).

Logan was always brawn over brain, using his strength to easily take care of things, however Wade loved to show off. Wade jumped from crate to crate, spinning and flipping around like he was in some ballet performance.
They were thinning the group out nicely, from 40ish guys to around 12, but they were still putting up a half-decent fight. Logan was busy ripping the jugular from a guy's throat when he felt a knife firmly plunge into his back. He threw his body back in order to throw the guy, and whipped around just in time to see Wade drop down onto the guy from the rafters and strangle him with his thighs.
All Logan could do was stare blankly as his mind worked overtime to process whatever feeling he was experiencing. His throat felt dry, his breathing swelled , his heart sped up, he felt high…. ‘I'm in love with Wade'

Eggs are, undoubtedly, the nightmares that live under beds. The only difference for him is that they live in his fridge. They're horrifically expensive but still taste like sour-dairy-cracker-evil Jello. Adding butter, salt, pepper, and other spices Wade knows he’s mispronouncing do absolutely nothing to fix the flavor. They smell awful from carton to cooked, and the texture reminds him of the slime from the Nickelodeon Choice Awards. The fact his cancer-marred senses can acknowledge them at all is a miracle, let alone that he can describe them with such passionate hatred. Unfortunately, they’re the one thing he wishes the cancer-buds would reject.

And shit goes sideways in the most colossal way.I've split this story into 2 parts. Part 1 is Chapter 1 - Chapter 22. Part 2 is Chapter 23 - Chapter 33 (Epilogue) As this is a beast of a fic, you can stop at the end of Part 1. Part 2 slips more into Domestic Poolverine, all the romantic cuteness I could muster and a healthy sprinking of shameless smut ;)
