When I first saw the white flash– I don’t want to admit this, but some part of me thought “Oh my God, they actually dropped the A-Bomb on Korea.” When I wasn’t immediately incinerated, my next thought was that we would be treating the wounded from it. It was probably close to 10pm, but B.J. and I were eating breakfast—night shift, you know how it is—, and so it was especially startling to see the whole camp lit up like midday.
