This has been at least a few hours of their evening, and Domino would like to move onto other things. Dinner, for one thing, or at the very least something to drink. Theo doesn’t seem to feel the same pressure, though, as he continues to work at a leisurely pace.
“Almost done,” Theo echoes back. He pats Domino on the shoulder again and leans to kiss Domino’s temple, just at the edge where he’s peeled up the metal to access the insides of Domino’s mind. “Don’t get grumpy with me now, Domino. You’ve been a great patient so far.”
