    Summary

I am a violent multishipper and I browse too many wikipedia pages... This is the result. Nine main ships and many individual stories that span over three decades. The main goal is to stay away from Macbeth’s perspective as much as possible so you get to engage with as many different characters as possible

[OCT 2024 UPDATE] I have been aware for some time now that this summary is basically obsolete with where the story has actually gone, so instead I offer you this: TWTTWBA explores the lives of many 11th century historical figures with a slight twist. History is (broadly) the same, but gay people is normal. Also there are witches. And dragons. And (sort of?) an overarching plot I am building up to. It involves Macbeth, if that wasn't already obvious XD. And also 1066, but you'll have to stick around for another decade probably for me to get that far....

    Summary

Now Malcolm is King, people assume they can kill him to become king- just like Macbeth did. However Malcolm is not as lenient and is rarely caught off guard. Macduff worries for the King’s safety and became Malcolm’s knight- his shield.
Malcolm deals with being a King and doubts of whether he can live up to his country, and his father’s, standards, and Macduff is there, once again, telling Malcolm that his traits are worthy for the throne.

(C’mon that scene was not only funny but so…y’know?)

    ————————————————————————————

“Prithee, my lord, do not turn thy gaze away from me.”

Macduff whispered his plea, eyes searching Malcolm’s for any sign of a chance of acceptance. He wanted Malcolm to trust him, to allow Macduff to do this.

When I was studying Macbeth in English, I thought it was really similar to Mean Girls. Hence this fic idea.

    Summary

Angus and Ross stumble upon the scene of Banquo's murder after Macbeth's banquet-gone-wrong. Fearing what it may mean for Scotland (and, maybe even more crucially, for Banquo's son), they set out to protect the freshly orphaned Fleance, discovering the horrifying truth about their new king in the process.

Feat. A witch prophecy, canon-typical weather metaphors, and a little T4T romance!

    Summary

***this is a retelling of macbeth from banquos perspective in which he misinterprets the entire things and thinks he’s in some kind of romeo-and-juliet-esque romance with macbeth***

When Banquo is prophesied that he will “get kings,” and his bestie Macbeth is prophesied that he will “be king,” Banquo starts looking at Macbeth in different ways… and when he hears him talking about his “black and deep desires,” he knows JUST what he's talking about— or so he thinks…

    Summary

I'm probably not going to continue this unless I find the time to rewrite it. I wrote this whole fic a couple of years ago when I was still relatively new to writing long fics - and in my opinion, it really shows. Believe me when I say that most of the rest is nonsensical and mostly anticlimactic.

A summary of the original play:
    - Macbeth hears a prophecy from the three witches.
    - Macbeth, with the help of Lady Macbeth, kills King Duncan.
    - Macbeth becomes King.
    - He murders some more people; everyone rebels and he dies.
    - The end.

In contrast, this fiction explores the possibility of what would happen if Macbeth and Lady Macbeth's plans to kill Duncan were foiled. One plan comes after another, and they keep being prevented - by Malcolm and Macduff. Consistently saving Duncan's life without letting on to him or the others that the Macbeths are trying to murder him is tricky work, but surely nothing can go wrong. Can it?

    Summary

Everybody was enjoying themselves, stuck in their little worlds with the glass shell of alcohol being the only thing protecting them. Some danced in the corners, others laughed around the tables, and the last were looking wistfully outside.

Cawdor drank more wine and suddenly found that he hated it, because it was poured by the hands of those loyal to the king, and he found the goblet gaudy and horrible, because it was carved with the king in mind. All he could feel was a pervading sense of hatred or guilt- probably a combination of the two- and he was sick to his stomach.

    --or--

Two characters killed right at the start of the play get their story.

    Summary

Three couples and seven single people, all who happen to be from 11th century Scotland/England and the like, are thrown onto a island together. Will they cheat, or stay faithful? Did I mention this group is full of repressed homosexuals?

Macbeth has a thing for Banquo but he's not man enough to say it. Malcolm has been drooling over Macduff ever since they first met, even though Macduff got absolutely plastered 15 minutes into the flight to their destination. Lady Macbeth and Lady Macduff are both sick of their husbands. Macbeth's cousin, Thorfinn, has taken it upon himself to flirt with absolutely everyone except the man who actually has a crush on him; Siward. Get ready lads cause it's about to get... bad.

Disclaimer: I have never seen Temptation Island I just thought the premise was hilarious and super fic-worthy.
