Summary
Hypnos was lonely. He had been lonely for centuries now. His mother had severed her connection from him believing that distance would force him to become a self-reliant god. His bond with his twin had crumbled over the years as Thanatos' work consumed all of his time. Even the staff at the House of Hades mostly avoid him. Hypnos hears them whisper about how they would rather avoid talking to him altogether. Hypnos tried to grin and bare it. He tried to keep hope that one day his bonds with his family would be repaired. However, that hope dies with each passing century. When Zagreus starts to attempt to escape from the Underworld something in Hypnos snaps. Hypnos wants to escape too. He doesn't want to be lonely anymore. When Chaos offers to send him somewhere where he can start anew he accepts. What he didn't know was that by accepting he would get sent to another world, have a mind flayer parasite shoved into his head, and suddenly find himself the leader of a bunch of people infected like him. Hypnos is in over his head, but with his merry band of weirdos by his side at least he isn't lonely anymore...

Summary
Last night was the tiefling party. Because Tav drank too much, they ended up not sleeping together and instead spent the night joking around and being silly (see Nobody Expects the Vampirish Inquisition for this story).
Astarion wakes up from his rest with Tav holding him in her sleep and he is having a lot of complicated, messy feelings, and everything is made more confusing when he smells Gale's cooking in the air and it reminds him of something from his past but he can't quite place it. Astarion goes through a rollercoaster of emotions.
Should he stay lounging in his bedroll with Tav, or go see the sunrise?
TW: He succumbs to some old habits and bad thought processes, trauma and dissociation apparent. Nothing is explicit and is hopefully overall a positive story.

Uther would likely not refer to himself as a hero, not with the dark urge and everything that happened with Alfira. But Astarion would argue otherwise, the Paladin was good and surprisingly gentle, he just had some issues. Halsin would likely agree with him too in that regard. Though Halsin and Uther did seem very comfortable around one another and in such a short span of time…
But there was a long road ahead of them all, moonrise was their goal now after finding Halsin.Then of course everything had to come to a head when the idiot Paladin took a mace to the ribs at the Grymforge after pushing Astarion out of the way.
Astarion was pissed at the self sacrificing idiot to say the least. But he never thought his bout of anger would lead to the man leaving them all. Now he was stuck having to battle with the complexities of his emotions for the man.
Uther found Astarions words stung more because of the truth behind them, that and his closely guarded feelings for the vampire. And with not even Halsin speaking up in the silence that followed, perhaps it was best to give them all a break from him and the threat of the urge that still lingered on everyone’s minds.

Summary
My take on the post-Yurgir confession.
First scene is the confession scene itself, which rehashes almost all of the in-game dialogue, but with the added perspective of Tav/Durge and her feelings. A lot of this scene is basically what you already know from the game, except for what's going on in my Tav's head. If you prefer reading fics that aren't so heavily taken from the game, skip to the second scene, which explores what happens after the confession and they figure out how to be together for the rest of the night (fluffy and sweet if that's what you are looking for).
Update: After this was posted, I started getting lots of ideas for expanding it and for a new scene as well. It's been edited quite a bit since posting, and I've added a second chapter for the new scene. It's complete now!

An unfortunate mishap in the Grymforge has left Tav suffering through an inexplicable and troublesome malady that is not quickly curable. Unable to withstand seeing you suffer until your companions can procure an antidote, the vampire spawn takes it upon himself to ease your suffering. But what Astarion was not prepared for was how willing you'd be to accepting his help, as well as the sentiments that would be expressed thereafter.
Fluff, smut, and all the finer things in between each touch.

It really was not on purpose.
Astarion truly was only on the hunt for some blood. Some animal that would satisfy his hunger for the night. And he found one. Of course he did. These forests were full of creatures he could catch and drain of their blood. Some were tastier than others, but definitely better than some putrid rat.
So, when Astarion heard wailing and heaving and cursing echoing through the forest, he didn’t assume it was anyone he recently met. And someone or something must be having a terrible night.
