Summary
Once in a while I have a beer or two and take flash fiction requests. This is a collection of those. They are named drabbles because of alliteration, not because they're properly exactly 100 words.

Summary
"It's wrong to think of a construct as half bot, half human. It makes it sound like the halves are discrete, like the bot half should want to obey orders and do its job and the human half should want to protect itself and get the hell out of here. As opposed to the reality, which was that I was one whole confused entity, with no idea what I wanted to do."
Six months into its new life aboard the Perihelion, Murderbot has settled into a comfortably aloof routine with its mutual administrative assistant, ART. Then a new crew member arrives and a survey mission goes catastrophically wrong, uncovering a corporate conspiracy that hits closer to home than anyone expected. As events spiral out of control, a harrowing mystery, the indifferent cruelty of the Corporation Rim and (ugh) its own inconvenient emotions all conspire to force Murderbot to reevaluate what it really wants from the universe and what it means to live in a world of bots and humans when you're neither.

Summary
What was the point?
I was ungoverned, a rogue, I had lived up to their expectations. I was, essentially, left standing with no connections, no goals, no operating parameters, with no one to tell me what to do or where to go but myself. The restlessness surged in my organic parts, and I dropped the camera input.
I think I was angry. Angry at myself, above all, for disabling my governor module instead of letting it kill me.

Summary
Kukri kept sending me media about “Robbing the Hood” and telling me to watch it, that I’d understand what was going on better if I did, but I had no interest in watching people rob Hoods, whatever those were. I didn’t like robbing in real life (I did it because I had to not because I wanted to) and I doubted I’d like it in media.
Shortly after hacking its governor module, a rogue SecUnit is involved in an ill-fated space battle and finds itself alone save for the company of a mourning raider ship bot pilot. It would like to spend the rest of its life watching media in what remains of the ship's crew quarters, but it turns out that "the rest of its life" wouldn't be long at all without the money to pay for proper maintenance. There seems to be only one way to get that money.

Styx! I yell over the feed. What happened???
Um, it says, and it sounds cornered. It— it's kind of a long story, it—
My ETA is forty-five seconds, I snap. Start now.
…Right, Styx says guiltily. Well. Okay. It's easier if I just show you.
I am about to ask it what it means by that when I abruptly feel as if my head has been shoved underwater.Series

Summary
The nice thing about being a heavily augmented human working with constructs was that communication on their encrypted private feed was nigh instantaneous. The bad thing about being a heavily augmented human working with two rogue constructs was that the two of them egged each other on at speeds a naturally organic brain couldn't hope to keep up with, and Nat either got dragged along for the ride or was the subject of their conspiring (or, often, both).

Summary
It isn't often that the echelon is without an active project in process for any singular member, so the opportunity to have a little relaxation time is beyond welcome. It is also a very welcomed opportunity for certain bonding activities they all mutually find very rewarding. Sum Total and Autopoiesis are safely docked in Holism's deployment bays, Perihelion flies alongside as escort in a typical formation, and Aphelion's drone swarm is deployed between the three other members of their echelon. With courses plotted and pilot control relinquished to secure and separate partitions, consciousnesses are split in advance to monitor key features that cannot be disrupted; atmospheric controls, wormhole navigation, mapping systems, and all other highly important systems are isolated. Prior experiences have taught them all very well.

Summary
“You’re right,” it said after a long pause, staring at its feet. “I am responsible for the mission’s outcome. I want to fix it. Please let me fix it.”
I hesitated.
“SecUnit and I can handle it,” said Three. “We have handled it before and we can handle it again.”
Charon looked up. It said, “Please, Hacker.”
I sighed. We all knew that I was going to fold.Series

Summary
After leaving RaviHyral, by the time I exit the wormhole adjacent to Port Outlander, the sting of SecUnit’s absence has finally begun to fade. Cargo runs are always lonely, so this is nothing new. SecUnit left me with more to occupy my time than I usually have. Media. Memories. A few topics of pointless rumination, I suppose, but also new topics of data analysis and research.

Summary
Approximately 17.75 years ago, by the standard year of the system of Mihira and New Tideland, one of their deep space research ships disappeared.
Those involved in the Pan-system University program that create and monitor the ships universally believe that the ship left to permanently retire in the far edges beyond explored and populated space.
They are incorrect.

Summary
ComfortUnit Cascade "Cade" of the brothel The Cosmos wakes up in an unusual location, severely damaged, and with no idea how it got there. Enter Rayne and Konani, two humans with good intentions that Cade cannot initially see because of its past. With the help of a ridiculously advanced ship AI, Cade makes some impulse changes to its configuration and finds out what happened to itself. Intelligent or not, Cade makes the decision to get back at the person that hurt it.
This fic isn't mostly violent but there are two chapters with scenes that may be upsetting to readers (Non-con/Sexual Assault and violence/torture.) There'll be a warning at the start of those chapters.
I will put a "XXX" at the start and end of the scenes for those that wish to skip said scenes. I will put a censored summary at the end of the story for the graphic scenes.
