Tim stumbled to his feet the moment he heard a scream echo through the archives. In the corner of his eye, he could also see Sasha startle and Martin drop the mug he was holding. The scream continued to reverberate from the Archivist's office.

Summary
The little girl that stands in place of what was Sasha looks as scared as the small Jon, and Martin moves towards her quickly. His arm wraps around her torso, and he crouches with the little ones. The laughter is overpowering, it's loud, and oh, the kids are crying. He shushes them, pats their backs, mumbles to them, but it’s no use. He looks up at Tim for some sort of communication, but he’s staring at something. Martin follows his gaze to see something shiny.
The indecisive light hits a wet limb. A bony shoulder, turned away, vibrating and twitching. There were too many points in it, too many places for it to bend and swivel. Martin scoops the children in his arms, making a run for the stairs while that thing is facing a separate door.
Tim doesn’t move.
