Summary
This idea came to me by reading some of the other works in this tag and it won’t leave me alone. Ultimately this will center around Ari & Cynthia’s connection, how it came to be, and where it is going. It’s been a little while since I’ve written anything, so it is probably going to be a little choppy as I get back into the groove. The first few chapters will be mostly flashbacks to set up for where we are going.

**DISCLAIMER: THIS IS AN ABANDONED AND ORPHANED WORK**
Bits, some fully formed chapters and pieces of something that was supposed to be a full long-fic about Luke and Nic, written along many months since the press tour in the summer.
Got discouraged at the middle and fully abandoned it after some point after jumping ship (because it was starting to get scary and people were more and more demanding/parasocial/weird about it with them) and actually finding myself liking Nicola + Jake together.
Figured I would share because I know lots of cool people still ship NicLuke and would maybe be interested.
Written way before the Wicked press tour (I wish I still had it in me to include references to the memes).
I wish all these real people all the best. This is a work of fiction, not speculation.
Chapters are sort of in order but not really. You can look at it as pieces to a story or as a series of one-shots, really.
Oh yeah, Nic gets to bang Paul Mescal in this! I didn't get to write the smut (was very much looking forward to it but lost the writing boner, sorry).
