Summary
When Ellie Williams, a young seraphite and disciple of Liberation, discovers she is immune to the Curse, division is sown into her community. As she comes to terms with the implications of this revelation, and as her role within Seraphite society shifts to something more ambiguous, her relationship with her best friend Riley is tested, as well as her faith.
Or: this is Ellie's story rewritten as a member of the Seraphite, AKA Scar, cult. In this story, Ellie has grown up and lived all her life on the Seraphite Island. In the cult, her immunity is seen as a blessing, but also a curse.
