Summary
Grief: A very great sadness, especially at the death of someone-
But that's not what grief means to many people, to the members of the 118 they would describe Grief as their love with nowhere to go.
Love so deep and different for each person who loved, and was loved by him.
For who wouldn't love Evan "Buck" Buckley?
Or
When the Lab incident occurs, it is not Bobby Nash who is stuck behind the glass but the man he saw as his son. Evan "Buck" Buckley.
This is the story of the supposed ‘death’ of Evan “Buck” Buckley. In which 118 realizes just what he meant to them, and perhaps just what they’d do to bring him back.

Summary
He feels like shit when he's hungry, and he plays better when he's empty. The cold air doesn't touch him as much. The floodlights turn silvery-soft.
And he likes eating. Keeps his hands busy, mouth busy, mind busy. Something to chew through, putty in the ears.
Go until he can't anymore. Cycle it back out. Be ready.--
OR: Buck's had on-again, off-again bulimia since he was 14.

Summary
He’s speeding down the street and veering through traffic and lights to get to Buck in time. He thinks the worst, and his racing thoughts cause tears to stream down his face. He’s quick to wipe them away, though, so they don’t cloud his vision as he speeds to the apartment. Eddie continues to beat himself up, knowing this is all his fault, and partially the fault of the rest of their team, but mostly his own. His best friend needed him, and Eddie was too busy letting out his anger to notice his best friend sinking further down the rabbit hole of depression and guilt.
Or... Eddie finds a questionable voicemail from Buck and thinks the absolute worst and rushes over to stop his friend from doing the unthinkable. Will he make it in time? And if he does, will Buck come back to the golden retriever he once was, or will his insecurities get the best of him?

Summary
He stopped in front of her, like he didn't know what to say. Fiona just stared at him. Lip stirred beside her.
"You got a baby," he said.
"Two," she replied, chin jerking toward Lip.
He blinked. Then, slowly, he dropped his bag and unzipped it. He pulled out a sandwich, squished, half-eaten, wrapped in a crumpled napkin, and held it out to her.
"You can have the rest," he said. "It's peanut butter. No jelly."
Fiona hesitated. Her stomach twisted with hunger, but she'd been taught not to trust strangers, even if they were small and sad-looking like her. Still... a sandwich was a sandwich.
She reached out and took it.
"Thanks."
He sat down next to her on the curb without asking. Just dropped his backpack by his feet and let out a sigh like someone twice his age.
"I'm Evan," he said, picking at the edge of his sneaker sole.
"Fiona."

Summary
Evan Buckley was intimately familiar with death. It hung in the air around him, lived under his skin.
It was the reason he'd been born in the first place.
Maybe it had seemed like some awful cosmic joke to his parents when they'd found out the source of his magic. It could have been anything.
It just had to be death.Eddie Diaz doesn't know how to be a werewolf.
Which is unfortunate, given he's been one all his life. He brought his son to LA to get away from it all, but he couldn't run from what he was.Or:

Summary
Once Vampires became known to society, of course the government looked for a way to capitalize on it and sanction it. One of their solutions was blood clubs like this one, where the exchange of blood was met with the exchange of money as well. It was safe for all parties involved, and it was a luxury that Eddie could afford, so he let himself indulge, week after week.
This, tasting Buck, felt like more than an indulgence.

“I’ll do whatever you want, just, please.” Buck sobs out the last word, eyes burning with unshed tears.
“A vow.” The man leans uncomfortably close to Buck. The knife brushes against his neck, lightly scratching across the top layer of Buck’s skin. The man’s cold blue eyes hold Buck’s full attention. “That’s what I require. Sell me your allegiance.”
Buck stares back at the killer, unable to fully process what is being asked of him. He sees a flash of anger dance in the stranger’s gaze. He's impatient. Unpredictable. Fear pours into Buck's chest as he realizes he might not get a second chance at this. He has to make this count. “I vow to give you complete control over the remainder of my life. My body is yours to destroy—so long as you let my sister live and return safely to her family.”
__
Or, After Eddie leaves for Texas, Buck goes to seek comfort from his sister and walks in on her kidnapping. In order to save Maddie's life, Buck offers up his instead. Unintentionally agreeing to something worse than death.

“Look. It’s nothing against you. But I need you to get to Bobby. So, just be a good boy, and take a nap.”

Summary
What if Chimney didn't just punch Buck? What if he was so blinded by his own rage and desperate need to find Maddie that he injures Buck far deeper than a single punch? When Eddie finds his best friend unconscious and barely breathing on his own kitchen floor, it starts a tidal wave that no one saw coming. With Buck fighting for his life, the 118 is divided on if Chimney actually did this to Buck or if Buck was just lying to get back at Chimney for taking Maddie from him. Regardless, Chmney is AWOL with a warrant out for his arrest. And he's on the run with Jee-Yun.
Eddie is doing everything he can to keep Buck alive and back on the road to recovery. And surprisingly he has some help from someone he least expected, Tommy Kinard, who has become a lifesaver to both Buck and Eddie. But when Chimney is arrested and Jee-Yun is placed in Buck's custody, can Tommy and Eddie manage to keep Buck from drowning? Or will Eddie finally lose his best friend? And will Tommy lose the man that he quickly fell in love with? And just how long will it take for Buck to realize that he was madly in love with Tommy? One thing is for certain, this new family was in for some serious turbulence.

Summary
Eddie swallowed hard. “You’re okay. Let it out. I've got you”
Buck shuddered against him. Then he spoke, barely above a whisper “I don’t feel okay.”
Eddie closed his eyes for a moment, letting the words sink in, letting the weight of them settle in his chest. He tightened his hold, lowering his voice to something barely above a breath.
“Then I’ll help you to feel okay.”

or a fic that was supposed to be a sequel for my previous oneshot but it spiraled (just like Buck will in this fic) into a new series.
I think it can be read as a stand-alone but you won't get a full picture without the previous story

Summary
“Before a storm, the air pressure generally decreases. The pressure drop is caused by warm air rising. It creates a low-pressure area and then, as the air rises, it cools and condenses, leading to cloud formation and potentially rain, snow, or, y’know, another form of precipitation. The faster and lower the pressure drops, the more intense and quickly the storm is likely to arrive.”

Summary
Buck works as a support submissive, a re-entry resource for dominants who get released from prison. Support subs live with their dominants and cook and clean and generally service their dominants to help them re-acclimate to society.
Buck is good at his job, so he usually gets assigned to higher risk cases. He’s had absolutely no problem staying professional.
He’s sure that Eddie Diaz, convicted murderer, is going to be absolutely no different.
