Summary
When a dark corruption spreads from the Deep Woods north of the kingdom of Roane, it falls to Will and his friends to investigate the cause. But as they close in on what seems to be the inevitable final confrontation with the Mad Wizard they have been fighting for years, Will finds his magic failing him as the darkness that scarred him during his first encounter with that very man finally overtakes him. Will stands no chance at stopping the demons that have been haunting him – after all how can he fight for a happy ending when he doesn’t believe he deserves one?

Everything should be perfect now. The Upside down was gone. Will was attending college. And he was in a happy relationship with Mike Wheeler, the boy he loved since forever.
But there was one glaring problem: Mike clearly wanted to take things further in their relationship. And despite Will wanting the same, he couldn't seem to shake this mental block that was creating a divide between him and Mike.
After all, how was he supposed to explain to his boyfriend that his body hasn't quite felt like his own since everything Henry did to him?

“Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m okay,” Will finally answers. “I’m sorry for bothering you.”
“Are you sure? Why did you call?”
“Oh, it’s nothing. I was just bored.” A beat, where Will waits for Mike to say something, to say, we can come over! but it never comes. “Sorry for interrupting you. Or just, you know-I’m sorry for bothering you.”
“No it’s- don’t worry about it. I’ll see you soon, okay?”
Will wonders if he means tomorrow or in another two days. “Yeah, sure. Tell El I said bye.”
“I will. Bye Will!”
Will lowers the antenna and turns off the walkie-talkie with a loud sigh.
He’s never minded being on his own but he hates being left alone. This was never his choice.or

Summary
In 1988 Will and Mike promise to leave town together, except Will decides to go off on his own, and Mike is left behind. Ten years later in 1998, the two reunite with drastically different lives. Will is known in the art community and has made a name for himself outside of Hawkins while Mike has stayed on Maple Street, becoming a father to a seven month old baby girl named Bea. Both of them have questions, both of them have regrets, and both of them still love each other. But how did Mike get a baby and why did Will leave? They'll find out and figure it out together because they're a team. And they're always going to be best friends forever.
