Caspian had heard from Chip the many stories of Gillion failing to tell his co-captains about some rather important injuries. Gillion always seemed to make himself appear stronger, more resilient, than he actually was. Always putting on the bravest face in the largest of dangers."

He leaned closer to Caspian, eyes tracing up and down Caspian’s neck, looking for some hint of noticeable gills. Caspian resisted the urge to step away, his heart practically leaping to his throat at the way Chip examined him. His gaze was focused, eyes slightly squinted and eyebrows furrowed.

Caspian’s eyes flickered down and lingered on Chip’s lips a second longer than they should have. Chip’s heart soared and he worried it would burst from his chest. Then, Caspian looked back to Chip’s eyes with the same dignity and formality he always embodied. It didn’t soothe Chip’s beating heart at all.
Or: Sharing squirties is a very common form of flirting in the Under Sea. Caspian is very good at flirting, while Chip is very good at being flustered.
