Qiao Ling finally asks about memories she saw with Li Tianxi's death, she doesn't know that her question is the final piece of the puzzle for Lu Guang and a key to ending this misery. Maybe tho one's that are not seen are the most impactful.

Our kingdom was created back when time was young, and we became the keepers of it…
Back then, everyone in the kingdom had the power to control time, and since everyone could do so, the rules were respected. But one day a woman, who would later be known as; The “Golden-eyed Demon” killed in the name of time, and broke the one and only rule of the kingdom. A young man; The “Blue-eyed Witch” came to her aide, and defended her actions.
Hundred years has gone by, and the king, Cheng Weimin just welcomed his son, Cheng Xiaoshi to the world, the next royal in line and bearer of the “Diving” ability, the modern term for time traveling. Around the age of 10, however, Cheng Xiaoshi activates his powers, and his eyes turns a mysterious golden and the King calls upon the last known descendant of the Blue-eyed Witch, a mysterious boy called Lu Guang.

There’s a dim wash of sunlight dancing over his face, though it rapidly fades away moments later. Weird. Has the sun always faded away so fast? “It’s getting dark.”
It’s then that Cheng Xiaoshi casts his gaze upward, taking in the singular tuft of gray clouds above them. “Shit.”

When Wang Qing wakes at dawn, there’s a sticky note on the pillowcase next to her with a characteristic flippancy in the writing and a sign-off of xoxo. There had been the indentation of Shao Yuanyuan’s head on it last night—dark red hair spilled loose so Wang Qing could tangle her fingers into it, her face turned up and her mouth open to Wang Qing’s—but the crease and shadows have faded, and the pillow is cold to the touch.
Shao Yuanyuan is long-gone, submerged head-first into the river of time again.
Wang Qing hadn’t expected otherwise. She closes her eyes, considers, and then checks the time. She has appointments to attend to.
