Marty gaped at him. “You want me to play a girl to—to satisfy—”
“Just dancing, as I said.” The bartender raised a finger. “No kissing, cuddling, touching or petting. None of that here. Just dancin’. Elegantly, maybe even seductively, but nothin’ more. You’ve got no idea just how gently and daintily these scruffy miners can dance, son. It’s a sight to make you weep.”
--When Marty becomes stuck in 1885, he takes a job at the Palace Saloon to earn money for him and Doc. Unfortunately, he catches the eye of Buford Tannen, who takes a liking to 'Marlene'.

The Doc and I got that idea one day, to go out in the desert and lay under the sky for hours just to look up and talk about anything, like it was our own corner of the world, regardless of the era we were in.
1885 seemed to disappear under The Old Tree; it was just me and Doc, our memories, our regrets, our hopes, our knowledge... his, mostly. But that never stopped me from teaching him stuff too.

Silly me, when I heard that "Doctober" was coming up, the first thing I thought was "Inventory time" ;0) , the second thing I thought was that all prompts had to be Doc-centric and I though Doc's a great character I'm like "I can't think of 31 different stories for him!"
However, I've since realised that much like "McFly July" the stories can be about anyone from the BTTF universe. So here I am making a very late start! Not sure if I can catch up before the end of the month, but I'm gonna give it a go.

Marty stripped out of his trousers and crawled into the cot. The bow of it hurt his already aching shoulders, and it took him a while to get comfortable. The soothing sway of it once he'd settled, and the scratch of Doc's ink-pen on handmade paper, eventually lulled him to sleep.
He dreamed of a dark-haired woman with even darker eyes, a solemn figure who looked nothing like his mother. She smiled in spite of the sadness she carried like a shield against the low-hanging twilight.
My wedding ring, she said, pointing at the clear, star-fretted sky overhead. In Lyra.
I don't understand what you mean, Marty said, sitting down beside her. Show me?
She handed him a shimmering glass disc, fingers smudging the convex planes of it.
It depends which way you bend the light, she said. See to it the lens doesn't break.
