He liked to think that he was a pretty open-minded guy. His father had called him an idiot for marrying Katjaa, raving that foreigners had no place in their country and she only intended to use him, but he’d put his foot down and refused to be swayed. She was already a citizen and more well-to-do than him to begin with. He’d been shooting way out of his league with her, and if he hadn’t been the one to bring in that sick octopus with a quietly desperate air about him, then he doubted she would have paid him any mind at all.
Kenny liked to think that he was a pretty open-minded guy, all things considered, but trying to figure out if there was something going on between Glenn and the miracle worker hunter that he’d brought back with him was driving him crazy. The way they looked at each other, the way they talked to each other, the way they acted around each other…
