Jack O’Neill’s promotion to Homeworld comes with headaches and a great big heaping of WTF. He needs an investigator yesterday, and since he’s already got enough headaches, he refuses to add more in the form of another attempt to work with AFOSI so figures he’ll try NCIS instead – the Stargate program does have lots of Marines, after all. His foray to the Navy Yard nets him two, because while he may have originally been looking for only one, there is no way he is leaving behind the man that disappeared after saving him in Iraq. Tony is not pleased with his past catching up to him but finds he might just forgive Jack O’Neill when their crossing paths gives Tony what he’s always wanted most.

Not much was made of Tony’s past in law enforcement beyond the fact he met Gibbs there and transferred to work with him.
If any had bothered to look, they would have noticed he had a degree in Criminal Justice and Profiling that went towards Negotiations. And not just his Physical Education Degree which he also used at times to help read bodies. And know how they moved.If they had looked further, they would have noticed he had never walked a post, but that he had gone straight into SWAT as a qualified Negotiator and Sniper. And been pulled from his slot in Peoria as the lead Negotiator to work on the Macaluso case for close to two years in order to bring the Familia down.
Going to Boston as a Team Leader then worked his way to part time SWAT as needed and full-time detective and homicide, after his many undercovers there.But that was only if they looked.
Which very few did. And those that did seemed to forget until in was in their faces as reminders.

Ok, this is my third take on this because it would not let me go. I feel things were done poorly in this with the absence of the obvious movie reference of Sneakers with Redford from the nineties. And that movie team’s use of the blind team member to gain needed information from when Redford’s character was kidnapped.
